Great night. I only went for Empire of The Sun. They were amazing. The Oakland Arena acoustics seemed a little off, but nonetheless it was a great night. The show started at 6pm but the line was about 2 hours long to get in, so either arrive super early or show up closer to 10pm when there is no line. Show was over at about 1AM. We thought we had general floor admission tickets, but instead it was seats. That was odd...so we somehow ended up on the ground floor right in front of stage. ;)

The only reason I went to this event was for The Contortionist. The only band there that you could actually comprehend the music and enjoy it. Their music is absolutely amazing and almost unbelievable in how such a sound comes from such instruments. Amazing music, and awesome dudes behind it all!!!!

Opiate is an amazing thing and an amazing experience for anyone who likes or loves Tool. They play all the best Tool songs and play them amazingly well. They don't scrimp either...an 18 song set list (and that's 3/4 of what they can play)....2 hours-plus. The videos always enhance the experience as well. Here's why they are better than Tool: 10 Bucks!; an awesome and long set list; and you don't have to deal with Maynard hanging out in the shadows. Bottom line...these guys love Tool, love playing Tool, and you will love them for it. I've seen them six times...there will be many more as long as they're around.

Besides the very first opening band... everyone else was AMAZING!!! Everything Goes Cold was a complete surprise. Faderhead was fantastic despite some technical difficulties in the beginning. Aesthetic Perfection blew the place to shreds. Amazing performance and highly recommended. Industrial rock at it's best. All the performers had so much energy! I only wished that the show could have lasted longer =)

Everyone needs to go check out Before You Exit in concert. Amazing and talented young men! You will not be disappointed. Plenty of tour dates and areas left to be able to attend.

All three bands were outstanding and each encompassed a different genre of music! Really loved Consider the Source and their opening band, Armcannon though. Both bands displayed incredible talent and exuded camaraderie and fun. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening!

It was a Sunday evening and I was doubting why I'd bought the tickets 4 months earlier - due to the darkness descending earlier now and the uncertainty of what the experience would be. It was a great experience that has been carrying me through my work week. The opening band Loamlands were excellent. Then Natalie Prass and her band came on and totally surprised me. She and her band are great live, even though at times I felt the musicians overtook her voice. Love, loved their version of Sound of Silence. Looking forward to buying her newest musical gift.
