Men Are From Mars Women Are From Venus

This one-man fusion of theatre and stand-up is based on the New York Times #1 best-selling book of the last decade by John Gray. Moving swiftly through a series of vignettes, the show covers everything from dating and marriage to the bedroom but Men Are From Mars – Women Are From Venus LIVE! is more than just the book. After beginning in Paris in 2007, Men are From Mars–Women are From Venus LIVE! has been seen by more than one million people around Europe. It debuted in the United States in February 2013 in Raleigh, North Carolina and will be playing to audiences around the United States and Canada throughout the year.

We were not sure what to expect, however once we arrived we realized that it was a monologue, yes I know a lot of people may think that a monologue can be boring, however a good monologue can be great!!!! This one was very good, entertaining and although he was loosing his voice by the end of it, he held on. At the venue, all staff could not be nicer, and friendlier, it is nice to see familiar faces. They was a great show with an awesome presenter. I've been dropping clues since last year that I wanted to see this show, when my husband didn't purchase tickets I just bought them myself and dragged him along. My husband didn't realize how much he was going to like it. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone, especially with a sense of humor!

The performance was wonderful! Sometimes you feel like you don t get your money s worth, but this show was worth it. The comedian was funny, sensitive, knowledgeable, and the addition of the video from the author John Gray was fantastic. This show is not to be missed! I am going again!

This show either didn't get enough publicity or people just didn't know what to expect because the theater was half empty. It shouldn't have been. This was fun and entertaining and informative too. I went with a friend but this would be really good to see with your spouse or partner.

Worst Show I have seen in Years. Wasn't worth my time and certainly not the money we paid for tickets. This show was so BAD we left at intermission. Should have left sooner as I saw several folk.s do. I was suckered in by the title - Now I know why it was a one day engagement - word of mouth would have shut the show down!

The act material was interesting and dead-on when it comes to the differences between men and women! However, the comedian, Matt Iseman was awkward and treated the show more as acting than comedy. Even his quote, "I love this character" demonstrates that he sees this as a venue for acting rather than comedy. It is hard to describe, but the way he came out on stage, went to intermission, and even ended the show were quite awkward and borderline uncomfortable. It never delivered. The book is a great jumping off point to do something like this, but they have the wrong comedian and the wrong approach. It seemed long, though it wasn't. And the comedian was over-acting and playing up each point way too much, bordering on preachy at times. I would recommend passing on this show!

Matt Iseman does a fantastic job of "explaining" the difference between men's and women's communication! The "conference" is funny, relevant to today's society, and makes you go away thinking.

It was good in it's own right and if you were looking for a marriage or relationship seminar. We were thinking it was going to be more of just a comedy show with multiple couples. More like menopause. It was not like that at all just one guy talking about how men and women are different and what we can do to understand each other and get along better.

I by no means wish to be a harsh critic of the show, since the performer seemed to be doing his best to put on his well rehearsed, often performed one man "comedy" show. I didn't like it and I couldn't relate. As I sat through the show, I kept thinking I must be from an alternate planet. It was a good night out only because of the venue.

I thought this would be a sketch show along the lines of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" - with a nod towards the original book. Instead it was a one man show that tried to be funny (and a little crude) while giving relationship advice. A chuckle at times, but mostly cringe worthy. Not recommended unless you really love John Gray.

The show was quite an undertaking for one person but he had us laughing and nodding our heads through the whole show. He taught us great marital lessons with humor and song. The conversation on the way home revolved around how insightful he was and so talented to open us up to the truths that exist in our marriages and relationships with the opposite sex!!

Thought this might be a couple doing the man vs woman nuances and such, but alas it was a solo performance by a male. for 1.5 hrs I listened to a guy talk about nothing and it seemed he was trying to be funny, but was NOT, after intermission....the last 30 minutes were pretty good. This was horrible. This wasn't a dialogue play. This was a 'one man' play that copied the speaker that does Love languages. I left during intermission and didn't care about arguing the fact that the advertising card is false leading. That one speaker made $50 plus tax from online order from each couple. What a rip off. I went Saturday at 4 and it was about 15-20 people total. The show was not what I expected. Oh not the show, the speaker. It was NO show!!!

This was truly awful. Please don't waste your money, no matter how inexpensive it may be. This is more of a motivational speech that would be present in a marriage counseling group. Yes, there are some amusing parts, however I go to the theater to see a production of some kind, not to watch portions of a video with the author, similar to an infomercial for his book, and to be preached at by the actor. This is not a play or theatrical performance, this is for those who are struggling in their relationships and may need some subtle help. This is a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. Please save your money and see something more enjoyable and entertaining.

This was marketed as a comedy, so I invited my platonic male work friend to go with me. However, upon arriving, it was apparent the show was designed for couples. We liked the small venue where this was held. At the time I didn't realize this was going to be a one man show, but it didn't matter. The entire show was amazing, start to finish. We had a wonderful time and could not stop talking about all the way home and during lunch the following day. Was well worth the price of the tickets. Amadeo Fusca brought a lot of energy to the role of a male trying to identify and explain the differences between men and women using examples "his" marital life to illustrate. (Whether the events are truly from his marriage or he the work of the comedy writers is unknown, but Fusca certainly provided and air of authenticity.) The show moved quickly through the two hours and Fusca passed back and forth and effortless worked with the audience along with one annoying guy in the front who kept shouting out comments. At then end, my wife and I left with smiles on our faces and a night well enjoyed. If you have a chance, you should check this show out. Fusca has the makings of being a very talented long-term comedian.

My husband and I went to this event together, and both of us really enjoyed it! The performance was great, but the best part is the subject helped us converse about some of our differences. We realized a lot of the fundamental differences between genders, and I believe it helped us not to be as judgemental of each other. Of course, we loved the laughs at the show - we each told the other "I do that!" several times. Please don't miss this one - take your significant other, or girls' night out.

I was beyond disappointed at this event! I purchased tickets 3 months in advance after watching a you tube video of this. I was very excited to attend and once we finally got seated I was ready to exit after 20 minutes, I decided to stay in hopes of the show getting better. The four people next to me left and I watched other couples and groups begin to trickle out. The MC of the event looked as though he belonged on a ballet floor the way he was dancing around on the stage. The show was not even close to the video on you tube!!! We suffered thru the awful commentary and dance antics until the first remission and decided to leave. I Do Not recommend this event!!

This live stand-up comedy was excellent! Very entertaining! But, as much as the comedian did to cover both sides of the historically complex man-woman relationship, he simply couldn't help but come across as a classic Martian comic. This performance would have been twice as good if there had been equal time from a Venusian comic -- a comedienne sharing her personal perspective of life with a man...

This play was incredibly hilarious!!! I literally laughed for the entire time and my face was hurting from smiling so much!! I have never been entertained throughout an entire event like this one before. It was by far the best play I've ever been to. My family and I attended and we highly recommend it!!!!!

Totally enjoyed the show. We read both of his books when they first came out and they were great. It was fun to see them put into a live performance. A laugh-a-second.

It was more than I would have liked to pay for a show like Men are From Mars, Women are from Venus. I was expecting more.

My husband and I really enjoyed the performance. It was very entertaining and the fact that we could relate to many of the situations made the experience hysterical. Highly recommend for married couples of all ages.

I loved it! Very entertaining and it brought my perception of the opposite sex in an entirely different but more positive way.
