Gladys Knight
Often referred to as the Empress of Soul, Gladys Knight has spent several decades impressing fans with her amazing vocals and continued passion, and she continues to do so to this day. Recently, Gladys Knight has also proven herself the empress of genius collaboration, having teamed up with Lenny Kravitz to record "You And I Ain't Nothing No More" for "The Butler" soundtrack. The singer has refrained from going on tour in the past several years, but she is willing to perform at a handful of exclusive concert events, as well as in front of the audiences of "American Idol" and "Dancing with The Stars," for which she was briefly a contestant. Knight’s performances are characterized by her strong voice that never fails to carry out her music and pull the audience onto their feet.

My husband and I expected to enjoy it, but we were blown away. Gladys and Smokey gave us an evening we won't soon forget. We were having such a fantastic time that we were calling family and friends from the concert trying to share the experience with them. It's been a very difficult time for us, we thought long and hard before we spent the money on the tickets. But wow, there was no better way to spend an evening. The crowd was very diverse, young and old, black and white. Before the evening was over we were all on our feet, laughing and singing together as loud as we could. Thank you both so very much. You both gave your all. Glady's you were right, music can lift us to a different level. God bless you both, I mean it! You made a lot of people forget their troubles and gave us a wonderful evening filled with laughter, song and fellowship. God bless and keep you both!

Smokey had to bring it early and bring it hard and he did After Smokey sung Quiet Storm and OOh Baby Baby, It was over, I could have left then and went to the "W". This show was so great that I am already ready to go see them again. Glady's did a great job singing her hits like Midnight train to Georgia. Smokey Robinson stole the show. He song all of his hits plus songs that he had written for other artists. He performed for 2 hours. This young bucks can learn a thing or two from this man.

Gladys was great; Smokey was AWESOME. They both have soooooo many hits, it's impossible to do all, but with Smokey, I screamed 'What's Too Much" 100 times to no avail. I also wanted to hear Jimmy Mac'n and Shop Around, One Heartbeat....too many to name. But he sure looked GOOD in red leather pants. Whew! Had me screaming and sweating!

Gladys and Smokey are true Motown royalty. Their voices are just as powerful as they were in the Sixties. The music is so magical. It makes you want to sing, dance, cry, and make love all at the same time. Pure excitement...If you didn't attend, you missed it. Their costumes were very classy, too.

Last night, to celebrate her birthday, I took a girlfriend to see Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson. They both looked really good and are true performers. They were absolutely great! Gladys' powerful voice is still top notch and the stroll down musical memory lane was truly gratifying! Bubba dropped by and did his "One Pip" moves reminiscent of Eddie Murphy's spoof. Smokey couldn't have sung "Ooo, Baby, Baby" or "Crusin" any better. His back-up singers and two young, sexy dancers emphasized the fact that this man has still got moves! We all just about died when he came out the second half in red (fire engine!) leather pants, shoes and top! A bit much, but I ain't mad at him. Smokey is a icon still moving us with lyrics that that echo the authentic angst of love and passion so absent in much of today's music! The ethnically mixed audience was totally appreciative and the mood was mellow, intense, and electric at the same time. A beautiful experience!

The wife and I saw Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson on July 8th, 2009, at Chastain Park in Atlanta. They are both awesome entertainers and sound just as good today as they did 40 years ago. I could not believe the energy that Mr. Robinson displayed and his show lasted a solid 1 1/2 hours. I would highly recommend this concert to anyone!

This RHS Community Foundation Benefit Concert was one of the best I have seen. Asheville's own Lyric kicked off the show... she always put on a great show. Little Big Town was also amazing. Gladys Knight is definately the Empress of Soul. And surprise guests George Wallace, Dionne Warwick and Bubba Knight added to an amazing show. Enjoyed seeing Gladys sing with Little Big Town and Dionne. But singing with Bubba brought the house down. William McDowell what a great cause. Hope you have another concert like this. The only drawback was the long wait between acts and the fact that Gladys didn t come on stage until 11:15, some people had left. I've loved her since I was a teenager and was so excited to hear she would be so close to Syracuse, where I live! I bought the tickets, got a room for the night and spent the weekend in Niagara Falls. There were 8 of us in our group and we were all so mesmerized by her. I absolutely love her with all my heart. Excellent show, Excellent performance and so connected to her audience. She sounds as good as she did when I first heard her back in the 70's! Let's talk about that outfit! Goodness gracious, I need that outfit! GORGEOUS!

This entire show was delicious! It should be obvious why I declare endangered. The mere fact that their ages they still, quite effortlessly exemplify excellence that has already become lost in time. Watching the show brought a tinge of sadness to the idea of we may never again be entertained by the likes of such raw soul and talent. So I personally enjoyed and tried to absorb ALL that Gladys and the Whispers came out to feed to my spirit. A true artist is one whom, whiles performing live on stage, sounds exactly like the record or track they'd initially introduced themselves and song to the public with. I could go on and on about Gladys, and The Whispers, the show and the evening. I believe only the one word is perfect description though. Matter of fact, two words..., Perfectly Excellent!!!

I took my husband to see Gladys Knight and The Whispers on 1/15/2017 at the NJ PAC theatre in Newark, New Jersey and each performance was outstanding. We had arrived 30 minutes before the concert started and the staff went above and beyond being courteous to all. Also, the performers started on TIME! Wow! That spoke volumes to me and my hubby because it meant the performers valued our time and to top it off they both gave an amazing performance. Glady's nor The Whispers could hear our voices on TIER 2, but they had to feel our love.

Gladys! The worlds greatest Female singer of all time. The emotion, the memories, that style and that voice. She sang new stuff, old stuff, covered other songs..she made me laugh, she made me cry and she took me away from job stress and the trials of life for just one evening. Her concert is "interactive". She encourages you to talk, to sing and to dance. She allowed those who wanted, to be her pips. As my husband sat and held my purse, the handsome gentleman in the suit next to me (His wife sat as well) became my fellow PIP. We danced in sync and we knew the entire back up routine. Gladys closed with a gospel song. Don't go for the dancing or personal singing, go for the chance to be able to say that at least once in your lifetime, you experienced the joy and perfection that is indeed Gladys Knight!

Her show at Boston's Wang Theatre was a masterclass on how to entertain an audience, how to please an audience--and how to leave us wanting more! She blew the roof off the theatre. I've always loved Gladys Knight, and when I learned that she was going to be in my area, I had to see her. I must admit, my expectation wasn't very high, because I've seen and heard the damage done to the constant use of the vocal chords to the artists of that era. I was so pleasantly surprised that GLADYS KNIGHT STILL HAS "IT"!!! Every NOTE was on point and perfect. She performed all of the great hits and didn't disappoint!!! I'm so glad that I got to see her before I left this earth, and if given the opportunity again, I'll be seated front and center AGAIN!!! She also looked amazing! I could listen ALL DAY AND KNIGHT TO GLADYS!!! Thank you.

What can I say about both these classic acts except that they are still on top of their game!! Gladys Knight looked and sounded incredible. Time is definitely on her side! Her voice is still so strong, and her stage presence shows what a true seasoned performer is! She knows how to engage her audience, and deliver her songs with such emotion. Gladys is a musical legend that "keeps on keeping on"!! Now as far as The O'Jays...These guys are amazing!! Both Walter Williams and Eddie Levert still sound so great and still have all the moves!! Along with Eric Grant, these guys still can harmonize and bring out the best of each other. I don't know what these guys are doing to keep their voices in such great shape, but what a blessing to still be able to sing these songs so strong!! This was a perfect double bill showcasing how great music once was! There will never be artists like these again ,so support them and enjoy them while we still can!!

What an excellent, sold-out show! Ms. Knight, her back-up singers, and the musicians were wonderful. Gladys Knight is not afraid to show her spirituality during her show. What a woman--what a performance--what a fabulous evening. When she sang "Help Me Make it Through the Night". OMG!

The event was not only unforgettable but was a very romantic surprise for my fiance' too cause we're both recently very much engaged. Also this event was a throwback of listening to the years I came up threw my teen years unto now a grown man and Gladys was always my revelation during the 60's up until this 2015 era and it touched me very deep down of my feelings and to me Gladys is like family and I do ever so love her and will always be instilled within my heart forever for always. I would recommend anybody that loves old school music of Gladys Knight and I will be old school forever. Thank you Ticketmaster for the memories of Gladys Knight.

I don't go to a great many concerts because it seems like most of the people are there to party and talk rather than listen to the music and experience the personality of the artist. Gladys Knight reminded me of what a real superstar can do to my experience of music. Absolutely amazing. I'd go again tomorrow if I could.

My mom had seen everyone in her lifetime. Billie Holiday, Elvis P.,Buddy Holly etc etc etc. but She had never seen Gladys. i saw Gladys a few years ago at Hollywood Hard rock cafe Florida. I sat in the very last row and was in awe. This time I got seats 5th row orchestra to make experience memorable for me mum. She has sight in one eye so i strategically seated her on appropriate side. I enjoyed watching my mom's experience, she was in awe. Mrs.Knight is all about love and note perfection. It was simply a fantastic experience Will attend next time Gladys returns to Florida. The backups and band was excessive and not terribly favored or enjoyable.

Gladys and the spinners were very energetic ,voice was beautiful .they were very spontaneous .The music selection was great. This was my second time seeing Gladys Knight perform the last time , was in November in Pennsylvania.she was so great that I had to bring my mother-in-law to see her.

This concert was AWESOME!!! Gladys sang her butt off, there was no costume changes, she performed like a seasoned professional, and I gotta give Bubba some love. I have seen Gladys several times in Las Vegas and her shows are fantastic no manner the location, and I love how she infusions current music with her music.

Gladys was simply unforgettable!!! Love the way she interacted with her fans, this woman is truly a Legend! I would have loved to be able to take a picture with Gladys for a keepsake, my husband and I were disappointed that we couldn t, but lady Gladys is still Number 1 in our book a TRUE Entertainer. We loved the show. The songs were done with all the style and passion that I expect from Gladys. My problem was with the sound. There were many times when the music overtook Miss Knight and needed to be adjusted. I fault the sound people not her. She was awesome.

The concert was great and the performers interacting with the audience made it better... The only thing I wished that people wouldn't do is stand in the walkways to watch the show... The people on the lawn in their chairs weren't able to see anything...Other than that it was a great time to relax and listen to some music by the water...
