Classified as an art ‘project’ rather than a band, Chicks on Speed blur the boundaries between art, future-craft, avant-pop-music, fashion and politics. Their projects to date include building their own archive of ‘Objekt Instruments’: the world’s first wireless high-heeled shoe guitar, super suits with sewn-in body sensors that trigger audio/video samples and self-contained entertainment systems fitted inside haute-couture styled hats.Having played around the world, including recent DJ sets at Big Day Out 2013, Chicks on Speed are globally renowned for their unique brand of high-octane electro-punk and a hybrid, explosive DIY aesthetic. Join founding Chicks on Speed members Melissa Logan and Alex Murray at this one-off Brisbane DJ set where they’ll merge their special blend of irony into a wild mix of beats, video, fashion and choreography.

Excellent Concert!! Gossaye and Teddy are both outstanding performers! It was very upbeat and truly entertained the crowd from start to finish! Parking is pain around Echo stage...get there early.

I grew up listening to David Draiman sing in Disturbed. They were my first rock band and I am a big fan. Imagine how unhappy I was to hear that Disturbed was going on hiatus. Then I hear a new band is out called DEVICE. I gave it a shot and love it. I have never been to a concert, I saw this only to be the most appropriate band to start my concert career. I can't wait to go to my next one. David was very personable and made it great. Great energy on stage with Gemini as well. Congrats David on being a father.

I actually went to this concert for Lo-Fang. He was amazing, so talented. I love his voice. Too bad he was the opening act and didn't perform long enough. Rhye was really good, too, a very talented singer with this down to earth attitude. The Immanuel was the perfect venue for both these artists. It was a night to be remembered.

Being my first time to this venue, I was just in awe. What a beautiful open air setting for a concert or any sporting contest. The entertainment was on time and exceptional. Summing up or concluding the festival with Toby Keith on stage was frosting on the cake. The only downfall was the 10 dollar pasture parking and long walk.
