XXYYXX

I went to see Chrome Sparks. They put on a great show and are very talented musicians. I liked the venue. I was able to watch the stage from the downstairs bar area until the band I came to see went on stage.

First off, I love both XXYYXX and Chrome Sparks but -- Chrome Sparks' performance felt somewhat lacking and too bass-y. XXYYXX did it great mixing his tracks very well but Chrome Sparks only played a few of his own stuff then tried to go a techno route during his set. No disrespect to Chrome Sparks, but it was a bit boring -- and I enjoy techno, but the techno he was doing wasn't very impressive.

Laser light show and set was insane! The people who opened up were great too! Def going again

Well first off, there was four artists instead of two which was actually really nice. The first guy was a random DJ whose name I didn't catch but he wasn't bad at all. Then the second guy was a friend of XXYYXX (I appreciate the homage to his hometown of Orlando, FL) and was amazing! His name was Fortune Howl. Then Chrome Sparks came on and they were also amazing. XXYYXX blew me away with how great his performance skills have developed and the laser show in the background was incredible.

This is seriously one of the best concerts I've been to (not only because I ended up dancing with the guy I'd been watching all night), but because xxyyxx took it to another level than I had expected. I assumed he would be playing his many slow, weed and chill friendly beats, but it was mainly very upbeat. He didn't actually play too many of his more known tunes, he didn't have to rely on these, as the crowd equally enjoyed hearing more unknown tracks. He put on a great show, and at the end of the concert when he shared a few words, you could see a humble, funny and talented young man shining through :)

Great tunes of course but the venue also really made it. Absolutely incredible lights and set up for Chrome Sparks and XXYYXX. The best show I've seen in NY this year. Killer on all levels would definitely want to see MORE electronica and chill wave at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Great staff, great show.
