I had the privilege to see Roger Daltrey perform with Simon Townsend on July 10, 2018. His music never gets old . Roger is down to earth and real . A bunch of people were out of their seats and crowding the stage front. Roger asked them to sit down cause they were blocking other people who also paid for their seats. I appreciate the thoughtfulness .

OUTSTANDING SHOW!!! Just an absolute pleasure to see this hall of famer perform in a small venue. His voice was right on, and it seems to me, he chose songs that would challenge his pipes. GREAT assortment of tunes. Sorry, but I wasn't writing down the set list. Having too much fun!!! Very cool to see Eddie Vedder come out and do a couple songs. They sounded awesome. The two voices were perfect together. Just an extremely good night of music provided by a living legend. Whodda thunk it wouldn't sell out.

Being too young to have seen the Who in their prime, i've only seen them in their more recent tours - and while the group is without a doubt one of the best out there, Roger Daltrey's solo show at the Showbox blew either of those experiences away. The smallness of the venue is an amazing contrast from the arenas the Who plays, and the different setting and band gave Roger an opportunity to stretch his legs and play songs outside the Who's normal catalogue. Despite some initial technical difficulties Roger and the band seeming a little unused to the setting, they quickly fell into pace and put on what I would say is one of the best concerts i've ever attended.

He was awesome. Talented, talked to crowd, sense of humor, sounds the same, in shape. The man still has it! Back up band very good, and Eddie Vedder joined him and sang three songs with him and got us all excited. I love Seattle and I love live music.

The Rodger Daltrey show was nothing short of fantastic. The oldies and his band were great! My wife and I got up-graded to the meet and greet and had the pleasure of shaking hands and having our picture taken with him. Watching him interact wth the different persons was a kick! A class act all the way. With Eddie Vetter thrown in for a few numbers was a treat as well! Well done!

Great show, Great setlist, and big surprise with Eddie Vedder on three songs. It was not the Who, so Whoever expected that too Bad! I really enjoyed Roger's solo songs. The next best thing to seeing The Who is seeing Daltrey live. The voice is all there and the mix of Who songs and his solo stuff was excellent. Simon Townshend on guitar didn't hurt either. Most people don't know it but Roger has 8 solo albums to his credit with quite a few rocking songs scattered throughout them, many of which he played including Who's Gonna Walk On Water and Days Of Light off of the excellent Rocks In The Head album. His energy and enthusiasm throughout the almost 2 hour set was also noteable. He was having fun and it showed. See him if you have the chance!

Fantastic show, Roger still hits 95% of the notes and has all the emotion and enthusiasm he made his trademark. Great selection of songs, about half were the most popoular Who tunes and the rest were Rogers solo work and classic covers that he has always done. Great backup band, though obviously Pete is sorely missed on this tour. The highlight was the appearance of Eddie Veder on stage after Roger started singing Can't Find a Better Man. One of the great moments in Seattle Rock and Roll history that I have witnessed. Crowd goes crazy !!! Eddie helped Roger out on a few more songs including Can You See the Real Me from Quadrophenia that really rocked. I imagine there will be other guest appearances along the tour. Don't miss out if you are a Who fan or just love Roger Daltry

He's like 64 years old, but he can still lay down most of the old stuff. The crowd was impatient with Daltry's banter and storytelling, but I thought it fit the mold of a "more intimate" show as it was billed at the beginning of the Use It or Loose It Tour! So, all of that and Eddie Vedder to boot!!

A terrible warm up band took the stage until 9PM, so why did the tickets read 7PM ? It was 9:30 when Daltrey came on stage, and though he was full of energy, he had lots of audio problems and even forgot the words to two songs. One highlight was Eddie Vedder joiing in on two tunes. Unfortunately the sound system was such that you couldn't hear anything from his mike. The venue is like a concrete skating rink. We were standing on a cold, hard, concrete floor for three and a half hours amidst a crowd of people holding up cel phones to take photos. There's got to be a better way to revive our love for vintage rockers.

On the first showing of the tour, they were still working out some kinks in sound and chords, but it was still great. With an outstanding band behind him, including Pete's brother, Simon Townshend who's really mastered his craft now, Roger rocked the Commodore. Scott Devours gave you an opportunity to close your eyes and imagine Keith Moon for a moment, and, other than cheating on the banjo riffs in "Squeezebox", they gave you the real deal. Selections from all over time and space - great renditions/tributes to the Chieftans and Johnny Cash - he was great. True to form (and a bit of perfection) he had the Shepherds Bush balls to bail on a few songs before they crashed and burned, and tidied them up a bit before he gave them a second shot. And there can be nothing like hearing Roger Daltrey belting out Who hits "The Real Me"," Who are You", or "Baba O'Reilly" at a venue like the Commodore. It was classic, it was good, and it was fun!

Fantastic! A dream come true to see the actual Pinball Wizard singing Tommy. It was an extremely hot evening to be singing outdoors and not in the luxury of an air conditioned hall but the weather did not deter him at all. Looking and singing fine at 74 years young. This was one of my favorite albums growing up. I'm so glad I got the chance to see Roger sing it. I've seen Pinball Wizard performed in concerts before but not the entire album. The orchestra was great too!

Outstanding version of Tommy from the local musicians to the band to Roger s voice there is nobody that can do that like Roger and the band did and to do it in the conditions that they had for the night with the heat and humidity they were flawless from start to finish without a break that will be one show I will never forget I have been a Who fan for 40 years Roger is still dead on and Simon Townshend is a dead ringer for his big brother Pete the rest of the band knows they have big shoes to fill and they dead nuts DID IT I SAY AGAIN ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS!!!!!!

Phenomenal incorporation of rock band and orchestra brought Roger Daltrey s voice back a few decades! Tommy is, after all, a rock opera, and it was mesmerizing with gently moving lights. Another plus was Townsend s parts sung by Pete s brother, Simon. Encore performances of a few Who non-Tommy classics. Spectacular! And sexy Daltrey still swinging the wired microphone like a whirlybird! Loved the whole show!

It took about 60 % of the show before Roger's voice warmed up. The sound was ok but not great. One would think with the HV Philharmonic and the sound system of the Who touring band that the sound would be great but it was just passable. I saw the Who at Atlantic City last summer and the sound and Roger's voice were excellent. I've seen Joe Cocker and Levon Helms at Bethel before. The sound at those shows was great. Roger did sort of apologize/explain his voice at the end of the show. He seemed to blame it on second hand smoke. I didn't observe anyone breaking the smoking rules.

Great Show! Sound was excellent. My only complaint was about the people in the front rows who had the best seats in the house but would not sit down so the rest of us could see. When you pay to sit in the front row, why not enjoy the fact you don't have to stand to see. The venue should have done a better job in asking them to remain in their seats. Roger Daltry was outstanding though!

What a fantastic show! From the first song "It's a boy Mrs. Walker" to the last "Listening to You" Roger and Simon had the house rocking. We laughed we cried, we sang! It brought back so many great memories. Me and all my sisters were there together, it was wonderful. I loved that it was the original Tommy LP version, it made it all the more special. Then Roger and Simon went on to sing several other songs which were awesome. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the whole night. I wish Roger would tour more and just sing whatever he wants!

At age 67, Roger Daltrey's hair might be starting to go grey, but his show at the Key Arena proved that he's still more than capable of rocking out. As advertised, the show opened with a 70-minute rendition of Tommy, performed without interruption. This is neither the stripped-down and raw Tommy of the Live at Leeds era, nor the overblown, Wall of Sound, Who-On-Ice Tommy of the 1989 tour, but something in between. With two guitars, bass, drums, and a keyboard, Daltrey seems to have found the exact right number of instruments necessary to recreate the original album's sound live, creating an arrangement that, aside from a few added flourishes, hews pretty closely to what the Who first recorded in 1969. Simon Townshend, little brother to Pete and "soul brother" to Daltrey, provides vocals on the songs that Pete sang, and his voice is almost a dead ringer for the high falsetto that Pete lost the ability to do somewhere in the '80s. The show is accompanied by a psychedelic cartoon projected on the big screen, in which Tommy is portrayed variously as a bird, a pinball, and the Who's classic RAF rondelle, opening with Tommy's conception at the first note of 'Overture' and ending in 'Listening To You' by showing the things people listen to for inspiration - a child being read to by his mother, a teacher, a man holding his ear to his pregnant wife's stomach, and, of course, rock & roll. For the second half of the show, Daltrey strapped on an acoustic guitar and joined in with his band on a number of Who classics, a few of his own songs, and some selected covers. Bernt Bodal, the Seattle-based entrepreneur and bassist who previously jammed with Daltrey and Eddie Vedder when Daltrey last visited in 2009, joined him onstage again to provide some power chords for "Baba O'Riley", and Daltrey even picked up a ukelele to play the night's final song, Townshend's pantheistic love anthem "Blue Red & Grey". The entire show ran just shy of two and a half hours, with no encore (which Roger explained that he doesn't believe in doing) and was well worth every penny.

Rodger was fantastic, sounded great and was very gracious with his time. Simone Townshend sang and played great as well. If Pete couldn't play, than Simone was filling his shoes nicely with his own style. The drummer and percussionist (sorry missed his name) was very talented, you might miss it if you couldn't see him (front row helps) but this guy is a great rock drummer. Great show guys!

It was my first time seeing R. Daltrey. From the beginning of the show till the end, R. Daltrey was a ball of ENERGY. I could feel his energy emanate thru audiences. I got more than what I expected out of the show. Well worth it and A MUST SEE AGAIN show! The album TOMMY is very emotional, it has many levels of emotions. R. Daltrey takes you for a ride on a roller coaster of emotions thru his voice with the songs. He was AMAZING. Also, Simon Townshend did a wonderful job. I can't wait for the next tour of Quadrophenia. Over all a great show and with Tommy being one of my favorite albums of all time how could I not be happy. Playing cover to cover was awesome and for the most part after all these years Roger hit all his notes. I thought the concert would be over after the Tommy thing but they kept playing for over an hour with more hits from the past. If you ever liked the Who and or the Tommy album go for it. A great show and good memmories. The only part I didn't like was I thought they should have been playing clips from the movie on the screen.

In 35 years of studying rock 'n' roll, I never properly witnessed the first and perhaps best rock opera ever written. No, I never saw Tommy live - except on Pay-Per-View from the (then) Universal Amphitheater in 1989 for the album's 20th anniversary. Then, I saw it staged on Broadway in the 1990s, though by that point, it was altered, mainstreamed, and romanticized. I did catch The Who for the first time ever with their Quadrophenia tour in 1996, with Roger, Pete and John performing it in its unbroken entirety with key special guests. And I did catch The Who on two of the 2000s tours - at the Hollywood Bowl and again at the Nokia Theater. Tonight at the Nokia, Roger Daltrey, with a supporting band of capable if not "star" players, recreated Tommy start to finish. It was wonderful to see/hear this in full, all the way through without stopping, and having a still energetic Daltrey belting out the iconic tunes, with some vocal help from his five supporting players on select tunes (for example, Acid Queen was almost entirely done by another singer). Still, seeing Daltrey perform Tommy without Pete Townshend was a bit like seeing another Roger perform The Wall last year, albeit without THAT band's founding and essentially formative guitarist. Surely, Waters' staging of The Wall was a grand spectacle while Daltrey's staging of Tommy was music only, save some select projections on three video screens. But like Waters' 2010 recreation of an all-time great conceptual rock album, Tommy begged for its guitarist's participation to make it a complete experience. Alas, Daltrey did later explain that Townshend is having significant problems with his ears, making playing and touring a health risk (as opposed to David Gilmour's flat-out refusal to perform in The Wall shows, save one guest guitar solo appearance in a London show). Daltrey did promise that The Who would return in full (of course, only with the two remaining members) as soon as possible, providing Townshend's ear problems are settled. Daltrey further explained that he himself had throat operations the past few years to restore his vocal abilities. The time off seems to have done Daltrey well as he certainly sounded better tonight than he had in the last few tours. After the complete Tommy, Daltrey commenced performing Who classics and other personal favorites, talking to the audience throughout about his choices, his long career, his early years of factory work as a British teen, and his getting as much from his audiences as they claim to have gotten from his breadth of music with The Who. In fact, the post-Tommy set nearly matched the first section of the show in the sheer amount and diversity of songs played. And it was in the intimate moments at the Nokia Theater, capacity, 7100, when Daltrey most bonded with the audience, who were seemingly made up of late Baby Boomers and early Gen Xers. Rather than being contented with his longstanding fame, Daltery explained, he is merely happy to still be onstage making music. And after a salute to his deceased bandmates, drummer Keith Moon and bassist John Entwistle, he dedicated the show to his fans with a solo ukulele closing song. In the end, all he could do is beam in delight. With that, the unthinkably 67-year-old departed from the stage, ostensibly for the multi-thousandth time, with hopefully many more to come.

Wow, wow, wow!!!! O M Gosh! We have never experienced a concert like this and we have seen a LOT of concerts! Roger Daltrey did 1 1/2 hours of the complete Tommy album...non-stop. Then......he did another 1 1/2 hours of Who favorites and Johnny Cash songs (one of his idols.) His band that accompanied him was terrific....Pete Townsend's brother on base; his drummer was awesome as was his keyboard player and guitarist. Did I say WOW?? My husband was literally blown away; he said it was like he was back in high school again when he would literally play the Tommy album over and over again. He knew every note, every run, every chord of the album! But to hear him actually perform it LIVE was just an experience he will never forget. The venue couldn't have been better! One of my favorite places to see a concert! We bought the cheaper seats and still had great sound, comfortable seats and a great view of the jumbo-trons and binoculars. Thank you Roger for your gift to us fans who were forever changed by your performance!!! You are a genius!!!!!!!!!!!!

Daltrey and company, including Simon Townsend were great. His voice is still strong and gravelly as it has been for years, despite the throat surgeries he said he's had. Thank you Roger Daltrey for not only wanting to bring back this classic album, but for blessing us with your presence after all you have been through with throat surgery. Definitely a great must see show. Without all the lights and special effects the music took center stage and kept the audience enthralled. Seen a lot of shows and was pleasantly surprised to see a show where a showman and his band could entertain a large audience for two plus hours, Townsheds brother was a close match to the real thing too vocally and playing wise.

With all the negative stuff going on in the world today, this show gave one a small reason to be alive in 2011. Roger stills sings well and has a great stage presence. Really liked the show. Daltrey sounded great. Townsend's brother played great but missed some of the high notes that only Pete can hit. Overall the show took me back 25 years. It was a great night. I only wish they had the actual horns rather than the computer synthesized version but that would have been the only thing that could have made the show better.

First off...the venue...The Mann is just a fantastic place for a show...getting in and out isn't bad, the crowd isnt too big, parking is reasonable. Concessions...meh...I never ate at Wolfgang Puck's Crescendo, but it does look nice...just a bit pricey at 39 per person for a buffet...in any case, i highly recommend seeing a summer show at the mann... The show itself was excellent...Roger played for over 2 hours taking a very short break...Played Tommy in its entirety, took a short break and came back to jam out some more Who classics. I was a bit disappointed that he closed with 2 "unknown" songs, but I've heard Roger is a bit of a narcissist and not totally surprised. I would definitely see this show again. Pete's brother Simon Townsend jammed and sang very well, helping Roger out on some of the high notes. He really does look and sound like Pete and really can work that guitar... Opening act came on at 730, Roger started around 815 and the show wrapped up a bit after 1030...

Roger Daltrey and the talented musicians he gathered (including Simon Townsend!) played the record song-for-song, dropping only 'underture', which made sense. Really gave us a sense of the Rock Opera, but in the original voice. Absolutely loved it. Jon

Roger and his band was amazing. They played the whole set of Tommy AND some other great tunes. Yes, I miss seeing Pete, BUT because he wasn't there, Roger played Who songs that I've never heard live like "Blue, Red & Grey", Naked Eye, My Generation Blues!!! Man, I have chills just thinking back :)

Wow what a show Roger Daltrey sang better than a few years ago. He commented on MGH helping with his voice and I must say they did a great job. He sounded just great. the songs and his band I just loved.

Tonight was the opening night of the much anticipated Daltrey performs The Whos' TOMMY 2011 Tour. All I can say is I am absolutlely blown away by the devastating power of tonights performance of Tommy and More at the 'Hard Rock Live'. Daltrey's voice is strong and his band is tighter than tight.no kidding! I have seen The Who to many times to mention and this performance is one one of the greatest I have ever seen. The band was incredible, Simon Townsend on guitars/vocals, Frank Simes musical director and lead gutiar, Scott Deavions on drums does not miss a beat and Keith Moon would be proud, John Button on Bass and Loren Gold on Keyboards were excellent. All the shows on this Tour are available for digital download which is a nice touch. I downloaded this show the other day and can't stop listening to it. How many times after you have been to a great Concert have you wished you could have a copy of it? Now you can...Fantastic!

The show was amazing and Roger and band were clearly having a good time. I never thought I'd get to hear Tommy live and it was beyond belief. Simon Townsend is great in his own right and more than adequately fill in for big brother Pete (miss him though!). In addition to the rock opera Tommy, Roger and band performed some stand-by hits and some unusual choices, honoring Leo Sayer and Johnny Cash that kept the crowd entertained and wowed. Opening act Paul Freedman was one of best opening acts I've seen.

It was totally worth my $$$ to get to see Roger Daltrey, Mark Farner, 3 Doors Down all on that intimate stage at BB Kings Blues Club in NYC!!! What a fun night! Mark Hudson was both the glue and the comic relief of the evening! Thank you Mark for keeping Roger on the stage for so long and picking out some very cool tunes for him to sing! :-D

Thank you for bringing Roger Daltrey to the Uptown Theatre. This was a rare chance to see a true rock legend. All the members of the band gave every song their all with heart and soul. The band was very interactive with the audience. This is truly an unforgettable experience that I will always treasure.

Simply amazing such a great venue and an amazing artist that knows how to give a great show. Considering Roger had only had 10 days with his band they were awesome. Even when he had technical problems he gave 110%. This is something that I would pay time & time again to see I am still singing the songs in my head 2 days later!! If you have the chance ..... go see him play! You wont be sorry

Roger Daltrey's show last night was an amazing collection of Who classics and Blues that blew the small but excited audience away. Having seen The Who over the years at various large and small venues this was by far the best. Roger's voice was in fine form only showing signs of a "possible" cold/virus during the very last song. There was a definite connection between Roger and the audience especially when the English contingent dealt with a heckler early on. Why pay good money to see an icon then heckle within 2 to 3 songs? Some people just can't handle their first 12oz beer!!!. Roger showed great humour when not everything went quite to plan. God Bless you Roger. This show was worth every single cent.

FIRST THE NITE STARTED OFF WITH A MEET AND GREET WITH ROGER. BOB WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF THE EVENT AND HELPING US TO SPEND TIME WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY FRIENDLY. THEN MEETING ROGER WAS TOTALLY AWESOME. HE TOOK PICTURES SOLO AND THEN TOGETHER. SIGNED ALL MY ALBUMS AND OTHER PIECES TO SIGN. THEN WE HAD THE FRONT AREA RESERVED UNTIL ROGER WENT ON. ROGER PLAYED ALL THE CLASSICS AND HITS PLUS A NICE MEDLEY OF THE MAN IN BLACK'S MUSIC MR JOHNNY CASH. EVEN THE HECKLERS HE PUT RIGHT INTO PLACE AND DID NOT MISS A BEAT. HE LOOKED LIKE HE ENJOYED HIMSELF AS MUCH AS ALL OF HIS FANS DID. WELL WORTH THE COST..

Roger Daltrey was outstanding at his "Use It or Lose It" show in NYC at the Nokia Theatre on Nov. 20th. At 60+ years old, the rock icon can still belt out a tune with his strong voice and plays a pretty smooth guitar. With a good mix of WHO songs, solo tunes and his personal favorites, including the Johnny Cash hit "Ring of Fire", Roger kept the audience wanting more all night long. The only song I wanted to hear that wasn't played was "Under a Raging Moon" - a tibute to former WHO drummer Keith Moon. Maybe next time. During the latter half of the show, Roger was a bit "fired up" as a heckling fan wanted more singing rather than Roger's storytelling about the history of some of his songs. In an intimate venue like the Nokia Theatre, I liked the personal touch by Roger Daltrey to interract with the audience more. Hopefully one day I'll get a chance to meet this rock legend and hear some storytelling off stage. Anyway, WHO fans young and old will enjoy Roger's "Use It or Lose It" show, which also features the fantastic guitar work by Simon Townshend - Pete's younger brother. He was sick, allergic to the pot smoke, at least a little tipsy, and totally awesome. He didn't play all the big Who numbers, but we got a nice mix of that, some of his own stuff, a bit of Irish music, a Johnny Cash medley and wonderful reminiscences about his bandmates, his time working in a factory, his first dog and his most memorable gigs. The musicians playing with him were superb, the crowd was totally with him... It was a wonderful experience to see him in such a small venue after seeing the Who rock a huge arena in 06.

I had been looking forward to this event for some time and despite Roger having picked up a bug which caused problems with his voice I was not disappointed in the show, the songs or in Roger. He gave as much as he could before he just couldn't give any more. He looked amazingly fit and was high-energy, spending a lot of time chatting with the audience and setting the atmosphere of an intimate show.

My first trip to the House of Blues Cleveland and what a great night. Roger is no longer in his peak but jeeze I hope I'm still rockin when I get that old. He gave us his all and then some. Trying some songs that he couldn't finish but he gave 'em hell anyway. I saw him with the boys 30 years ago and he is still on an amazing journey!

The band played great together. Roger sounded great and rocked better than most half his age. Only two problems; the show was too short(I wanted it to go on forever) and Roger's voice started to give out at the end of the show. There was no doubt the audience got all that Roger had to give!

Words cannot describe the concert. The venue was a great place and all the seats made you felt like you were right up front. Roger was great. He sounded great and really interacted with the audience, even "taking requests". My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to 9th row-center seats at the Roger Daltrey concert at the Horseshoe Casino in Southern Indiana last night. The show was a treat indeed! I saw The Who's (first) farewell concert in 1983 in Los Angeles...Let me just say that although the other members of The Who were not present, Roger performed his favorites with a great band. He chose his band members well, and together, they rocked the house! They did Who Are You, Behind Blue Eyes, Baba O'Reiley, and even some of the older Who tunes were a pleasant surprise. His solo songs were great, and sung from his heart; his love and passion for who he is were humbly, but powerfully performed. Roger's vocal talent is as strong as it ever was...He opened with "Who are you"...when I saw him perform this song in '83 he jogged in place for the duration of the song and when he belted out the last line, he was NOT out of breath...although he didn't jog last night, it is clear he is still in great shape. He takes care of himself, and I will go as far to say that his ENERGY is dynamic. He was intimate with the audience. He chatted, and told stories about himself, his days on the road, and his love of the world, and his fans. His smile is still electrifying, and it comes from the inside out. THIS SHOW IS A MUST SEE! Rock on, Roger!

A true rock legend. Roger sang his heart out, reached out to his audience and showed that he still has it, uses it and hasn't lost it. While this is not a Who Tour, Roger wove Who fav's into the set along with songs that he enjoyed singing and playing. His band rocked, the bass lines solid. Simon Townsend, at times reminded us of Pete. This was a magical evening with the magical, Roger Daltery.

The last time Roger Daltrey sang in middle TN was at MTSU's Murphy Center on The Who's Who By Numbers tour in 1975. He hasn't lost a beat. For the 1st time on this tour he even did a low-dynamic version of My Generation that totally captivated the audience. His Johny Cash medley at the mother church of country music was a well-received homage. Baba O'Riley brought the house down.

From the minute he stepped onstage Roger had the LA crowd dancing and singing along. He was charming between songs, and Simon Townsend (Pete's younger brother) provided excellent harmony. The band was excellent considering they've only been together a few short weeks. The only disappontment was no encore, Roger left me wanting more.

After religiously seeing The Who and Rog solo, for the past 30 years whenever I could, it was really a special treat to see Rog in such a great, intimate venue. Simon Townsend was spectacular, as always. They sang great Who songs, many that usually don't make it to the stage. Loved hearing the Irish folk songs and the Johnny Cash medley, too. Rog was a bit grumpy about not being able to hear himself very well in the smaller club, but he is allowed! He really gave his all and the crowd LOVED it, me most all!!! Pearl Jam sang The Real Me when I saw them a couple of weeks ago and then to hear it again with Eddie Vedder and Rog singing, it just left me speechless. My love for Rog knows no bounds and I am honored to have been so close to him and at such a great show!

I felt that Roger seemed relaxed. When I have seen him with The Who, Pete controlled the mood which was more uptight and precise. Roger forgot the words to Athena but joked about it and tried again. Pete would probably never let this happen. Roger sang great and he played the songs the crowd loved. I feel after the first hour the heat was getting to Roger and the crowd. The venue needs to provide fans on stage. This is not the first concert at Turning Stone I have gone to that was unbearably hot for performers and the crowd. They need to improve or I will go to other venues in the area like del Lago. Other wise Roger put on a great show and I would see him again when he is in the area with or without Pete. Long Live Rock n Roll!!!

Show itself was good. Floor seating chairs too close together. Open beverages should not be allowed. Drunk next to us spilled her beer all over making it a not great experience. Roger Daltrey and DSO performing Tommy was superb! Roger's voice held up throughout the night which was very hot and humid. He wisely uses back up singers and other lead singers to sing the passages that require someone who can hit the high notes. The backing band was very talented, particularly the woman who played the violin solo on Baba O'Riley and the DSO was excellent as anticipated. Overall, it was a wonderful concert!

Normally I find the pairing of symphony orchestras and pop/rock stars a little precious, but this one worked brilliantly. Roger looks and sounds great--hearing aids and all. I loved the way he acknowledged the reality of aging and keeping on keeping on. Bonus: Hearing him say "old farts" with a Britty accent! His band was great--nice combination of young and older. It was so much fun for this elder to "rock out" to a classic from the 1970s--the decade I came of age as a young adult. The DSO (whom I see regularly at the Neighborhood Concerts series) were very game at expanding the Tommy experience. I love their outdoor concerts, and this one was a real treat. Thank you, musicians, for subjecting your vintage instruments to that wicked humidity.
