Missouri Comets

We hadn't seen the Comets since they were the Kansas City Comets back in the 80s. We purchased tickets for front row, middle of the field. For a one-time event, it was well worth the extra $. I wouldn't be able to afford it for every home game, but it was great. You really felt part of the game. I could easily see buying season tickets in the near future, though we'd have to choose our seats more conservatively.

Exciting game, promotions and halftime show. Would recommend going to see a Comets game at least once if you are a soccer fan.

Great venue and entertainment for the whole family! The Comet are a high energy, high impact, up close sport. Concessions are typical arena/ballpark prices, but thats a small negative for the entertainment value.

Beautiful new area, sellout crowd - great effort to recreate the magic of indoor soccer in the '80s. We'll definitely be back!

I grew up watching the comets play. I was so glad to hear that they were coming back. The reunion game is my favorite because you get to see the 'old timers'.

Had a great night at the Sprint Center and the game was great too. Would have liked a win but thats the chance you take with sporting events. Hope the Comets do it every year.

The game was very fast paced and was exciting. The coordination of the event needs work. When the announcer would introduce the comets the crowd would wear out before the team came on to the field (coordination problem), I could feel the excitement from the crowd drop considerably! Alot of the cheerleaders were chubby????? which in turn prevented them from putting out the best half time show available. It seemed the crowd would really back this event even better if a few things were watched a little closer.

I highly recommend seeing a Missouri Comets soccer game. They are a great value and very exciting. A great way to spend an evening with the family.

First indoor soccer game and it was a BLAST! Can't wait to come back for another. Fans were into the game, arena is nice... highly recommend!

I have been to many Comets games before, but Section 105 Row A is the place to be! Those are the best seats with an incredible view of the field. You can get up close and personal with the players and never miss any of the action. Great time as always!

I enjoy this venue because of the intimacy of the arena. It's never overly crowded and restrooms and concessions are easily obtained.

The Comets are the best team to watch and always a lot of fun! The fans are nice and the atmosphere is great. If you are not an outdoor soccer fan, I think you will love indoor soccer. They score points more often and it's a much smaller field with a lot more action. This is a game everyone can enjoy!

This was an excellent event with a great venue! We had a great view and were so close to the players and field! We will attend another game!

The Comets game was fast-paced, action packed, and lots of fun. Even for those who aren't huge soccer fans, the indoor game is pure excitement. The Comets are coming along well in their first season. Good stuff!

Comets game was fun. The team struggled at first but they came back at the end of the game to make it really exciting to watch. The Comets needs more support and a full stadium will yield a better win-loss record. The event center is a great place to catch any event.

This was my first trip to th Independence Events Center. Must say it was very nice. Parking was great, food was quick and easy, the view was terrific from almost anywhere, and the family had a blast in a very "good sport" atmosphere.

this fast paced indoor soccer game is amazing!!! although the rules are not the same as outdoor soccer, this up tempo high scoring game mixes soccer with shades of basketball and hockey. the soccer field is the size of a hockey rink (includes glass and boards). each goal is worth 2 points instead of the traditional 1, and there is a three point line (goals kicked behind the line yeild 3 pts). the comets did not win but the excitment increased dramaticly as the game went on. in the final minutes the comets pulled the goalie and added a sixth attacker. the small Indepenece events center also creates a very intimate setting which only adds to the intensity and excitment, being that it can get very loud with little effort. you have to see the event in person to get a true understanding for the excitment of the game. it is much more fun that watching the MLS.

I took my 13-year old son and his friend to the game. It was a great time. What was particularly nice was that the hot dog prices were $2 before 7:00 (7:35 game). I thought the laser light show was slightly underwhelming, however. Also, the volume of the speakers was far too loud. The announcer and music seemed to come on every 20 seconds. We just wanted to watch the game. The interruption on the speakers became very annoying. But all-in-all, it was a fun time and we enjoyed watching the game. I paid the next tier up from the cheapest tickets and sat in section 104. They were nice seats, but there really didn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. Next time I think I will save my money and go for the cheapest tickets.

Nice facility...and good job trying to bring the product back to market. Unfortunately the team is not very good yet. Hopefully that will improve over time.

I've been to several Mavericks games at the IEC, so I was expecting about the same thing in regards to the overall production, value, and quality of the team. Not so much. The team is new and the players haven't been together very long, which was very obvious. Milwaukee pretty much dominated the game. From a production standpoint, the pregame was a bit rough - dead air, lack of energy, etc. I was hoping that they would have honored all of the old Comets players in attendance - not just Jack Harry and Gino. You couldn't really see the lazer show on the roof of the arena either. As far as value goes - I can get a much cheaper ticket to the Mavs - for a much better product. Go Comets, but I will probably attend more of the Mavs games.

It was a lot of fun with lots of good loud music. The sound system was surprisingly very good with punchy bass. The set up of the venue makes for an intimate feel with a real close feel of the game due to it being smaller. Everybody is close to the action. Not really a bad seat in the house. I used to go to a lot of games as a kid at Kemper, brought back a lot of memories. A good family atmosphere with many youth clubs represented. Despite the Comets probably not being good in their first year, I still definitely plan on coming to a lot more games. Nice to have pro soccer a lot closer to home.

Loved the laser light shows before & after the game. Getting to meet the players afterwards & get autographs was cool. Only bad part of the night was that they lost. But it was their first game. They'll get better . GO COMETS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Independence Events Center is an awesome place to watch indoor soccer. The place was packed and even though the Comets lost, they played well for a new team. I plan on attending more games this season and for seasons to come. The laser light show at the end was kind of lame. The Comets could learn a little about promotions from the Missouri Mavericks. All in all it was a fun night out with the family.

Comets games are great family fun and a great value. The team is exceptional as well. Can't wait for the playoffs!

Comets are a high scoring machine. Gives me my soccer fix in the winter months. Also after every game, each player is available for autographs.

This game was a great example of the domination and flawless play that the Comets have developed. Great coaching and talented players make the Comets' games worth the experience.

I don't think there is a bad seat in this arena!! There is music played off and on to keep everyone entertained. We bought the $6 souvenir cup so we could get $1 refills. Pretty good deal for a sporting event.

Love everything about the Comets games. Individually they are all skilled players and good sports. They show their love for the fans and really make you feel so appreciated. The games are always exciting. The atmosphere and the staff at the event center are wonderful and just overall the experience is great!! So much so we are thinking about season tickets next season!

Yeah! We won! Will go again. Would love to have a coupon for a private event seating in one of the boxes..

Non-stop action with the Comets prevailing in the end made for an exciting afternoon's entertainment.

Went to the Missouri Comets game with my wife and son. We had a blast and we are not even soccer fans. If you attend you better pay attention to the game because those balls will fly into the audience and knock you out if you don't.

when MLS isn't playing theres the MILS. its fast paced, lots of goals, lots of action. and a lot of fun! The comets have an incredible goalie in Danny Waltman. even if you're nto a soccer fan go watch the comets, its different than a normal soccer game

I wish more people would give the Comets a try! I go to both the Mavs games, as well as the Comets, and it's disappointing to see that there aren't as many soccer fans. It's such a fun sport to watch, plus you can actually see their faces! The pre-game show is great, there are fun games and giveaways throughout, and the atmosphere is very family-friendly.

INDEPENDENCE EVENTS CENTER WAS SPECTACULAR, I HOPE THAT WHOEVER RUNS OR OWNS KEEPS TAKING SUCH GREAT CARE OF IT, WONDERFUL TO HAVE SUCH A NICE PLACE CLOSE TO HOME. SORRY THE COMETS LOST BUT WE LOVED THE GAME AND THE ATMOSPHERE. WE WILL DEFINITELY TAKE OUR 5 YEAR OLD AGAIN.

Great show, with plenty of action. A pretty close to an altercation between the players because of the level of competitiveness.

The comets game was a lot of fun! I think indoor soccer is a lot more fun to watch than outdoor because it is faster paced and more physical. There was a great atmosphere...very family oriented. Throughout the game there were give aways, mascot appearances, and contests. The independence event center is a great complex...very clean. There is a Zardas BBQ inside. It was a bit chilly inside but not unbearable.

Fabulous experience for the Costa Ricans that I brought to the event. As avid fans of the sport, they had nothing but praises for the venue and well as the production. A suggestion we would have is that the first-time attenders to the Comets events be made aware of the cold temperature and air circulation to keep the players cool. Attendees should be made aware that they need to dress both warmly and in consideration of the cold air blowing down backs and necks of the spectators.

This was our first time at a Comets game at the Independence Events Center. Brought our two boys - 10 and 7 - and we all had a great time. The venue is clean and small so not too crowded and easy to get to your seats. Considered sitting on one end but glad we sat at center field because the " band" sits at one end and I'm not sure I would want to be next to the beating drum all night. The kids loved the game, the giveaways and items tossed out to the crowd (we caught a chick filet parachute cow). The only thing they could work on would be the flow of the game. There seemed to be too much time spent after each goal, after each quarter and for timeouts. The game start time was 7:35 and was over around 10:10...which seems a little long for a game with only 60 minutes of playing time. Overall, had a blast, lots of goals were scored, the Comets won and we would definitely go back again!

The Comet's game was exciting! The fans were engaged and enthusiastic! After the game, fans were allowed to come on to the field, meet the players, and get autographs. It was a lot of fun!

Every moment of the game is filled with excitement! The Comets and the Wave put on a great game with plenty of exciting moments. We were especially on the edges of our seats for the last quarter!

Love the Comets. Nonstop, fastpaced, professional soccer action! Great atmosphere for the whole family. Tickets are affordable and near the field. I have personally met a few of the players and they are couteous and great with the kids. Indep. Event Ctr is a great venue also. (Especially with free parking). Eric

Went to my first Comets game Feb. 19th against Roschester. Even though I'm old enough to have gone to the first incarnation of the Comets in the '80s, I never did. What a great venue the Events Center is and what an exciting game indoor soccer is! (A victory didn't hurt, either) I will be back!!!

Seriously ... I am instantly hooked on watching the new Comets! I remember enjoying the comets of yesteryear, but I don't ever remember having this much fun at the games. Maybe it is because no matter where you are sitting, you are not that far away from the game (compared to the cheap seats I could afford at Kemper, back in the day). For some reason, this new venue seems more aggressive & intense! Bottom line ... it's fun ... and my son and I have found a new favorite pastime.

Comet games are a great experience and fun for all! The game against Baltimore was one of the most exciting I've seen. 4 goals in less than 2 minutes demonstrated the talent and the determination that this team possesses. It was a night of pure fun!

It was a really fun time. Great atmosphere and would be an amazing time for a family. Fast paced and energetic. Couldn't ask for a more fun time.
