First saw Anthrax in 1991 with their classic lineup (that included Dan Spitz) on the State Of Euphoria tour. Most recently saw this tour last November when it came to HOB in Orlando. Even though the doors did NOT open on time, we were still there early enough to get close to the front of the line so we didn't miss any of Death Angel. I was glad that the set list varied a bit from last year with all the bands. I can't say enough about these bands, I am an old school fan of all 3 of them, and they still thrash harder than ever. I was right at the front, and trust me, my ears rang for 2 days afterwards! Can't wait to see them again!!!!

The show was great indeed, but the place was horrable. I would say that this place needs a completly new management, and I would not recccomend this venue to anybody. It was wasting of time and a huge waste of money. The drinks were expensive and it was hard to reach the bar anyway, because of the stupid rules they have there. Some of the staff were very polite , some of them extremely root / like the guy who tried to push off my camera from my hands/ . That was the worst place I have attended. Please avoid concerts there! I missed a big part of the concert, trying to find a place that nobody will come to ask me to move. Unfortunately, it was packed and not choice for a better view at all. All the time I was command to keep some yellow lines on the floor, like being in the army or any restricted area. But sorry folks, next time I wanna have fun and I will, but not at the Warfield, cause it sucks.

This is my 5th Anthrax show since 1988, all original line-up and the only one I didn't enjoy much. The sound was way too loud, unreasonably loud. Anthrax has a sharp razor-like distortion, it sounded bassy and you couldn't here Joey singing, with very little back up vocals. I liken the sound to one of these grunge-rock screamo bands with an incoherent mix of screaming and big bassy distortion. Anthrax sold out there signature sound for a jumble mess of too much bass and volume in order to satisfy the Five Finger Death Punch crowd. I think that's the last Anthrax for me. Though I will still buy their albums.

I was two people from the front right where Scott Ian was. I had a perfect view of Kirk Hammett coming out and singing with him. And jammin to Whiplash! Testament still put on the best show, but all three Death Dangel Testament and Anthrax did not dissapoint! Having Kirk there gave it that San Francisco flavor!

Anthrax and Testament were good but Death Angel had the crowd and energy. The lead guitarists' little kid was able to be seen on the side of the stage rocking out. How cool is it to watch his dad shred in front of a thousand fans. All in all, great show!

The sound was fantastic. The groups which I had seen before were overwhelming in every sense. During Anthrax, there was even some drama which I don't totally grasp on stage. Nobody was hurt and they went right on playing but it was exciting. Would totally recommend these groups to anyone looking for some awesome music

Club Nokia Staff made us wait 20 minutes longer than published doors open time. VIP entrance closed so had to wait in general admission line. Had to use the restroom, was told if I left my spot in line I would lose it as they couldn't allow anyone else up on the platform (3rd floor up). Rude staff! But the view from the Balcony was incredible and all 3 bands put on phenomenal shows.

Show was great! Been 12 years since I have seen Anthrax and more like 16 since Testament. Both bands showed they could still bring it live. Seem to be re-energized with the new legion of fans out there. Many of which are probably the children of those of us who go back to the 80's with them. Missed Death Angel back in the day. Would love to see the classic lineup but they put on a very good set for the short time they had. Good mix of the old and new. Alex was just on fire. As were both Rob and Scott!. would have given this show another star bit the vocals were a bit buried in the mix for all three bands. Part sound man/ part venue imo. Can't blame the bands for that.

the bands all performed incredibly. The sound had a lot to be desired and this was the fault of the venue. Engineers seem to think we only want to feel drums and nothing else. The guitars needed to be turned up or rather, the drums turned down in order to even know what song was being played. That being said, the guitars did gradually get louder and became easier to hear all the instruments.

Having these two old school thrash bands kick off in my home town was an incredible evening, Both bands still deliver the crunching metal I've grown to love. Death Angel opened the show, and it took the sound guy thru the 2nd song to get the mix right but I was very impressed with them. Testament is one of my top 5 metal bands, Chuck Billy's growly - vocals still hit the mark, Skolnik's amazing solo's, John Tempesta filling the double kick's, and Greg and Eric doing their part all sounded and played great. To hear the old tunes live again were awesome, the crowd really got going on "Into the Pit," one of my favorite songs and to whomever the guy was I layed out in the pit, sorry bro, you got to bring your game to come into this pit!" Testament deserves so much more credit for what they do and what they stand for, the guys are awesome and they play metal because they live metal. GREAT show, you have to see them. Anthrax brought it's A - game right out of the gate. I was very impressed with the new material live, but the energy between then band and the crowd was incredible. They rocked the old classics like awlays, but the new cd is worth every penny. Great show and Grand Rapids needs more metal, keep em coming! For those metal heads that truly love these two bands, you got to go, they deserve it and you will walk away wanting more. Can't wait for Testament's new CD, whenever that comes out. GREAT CONCERT!!

Overall a good show. The atmosphere was perfect. The crowd was very friendly, as most metal crowds tend to be. The only drawback was the sound. Im not sure who is in charge of sound, but the vocal and bas mix was very low. Mostly guitar and drums. Even by the soundboard the vocals were unintelligable.

All of the bands were tight and awesome, but that was overshadowed by bad sound and clunky changovers. This was the first night of the tour, so some of that is understandable. However, the crews have a lot of work to do to get it right.

Within the first 3 seconds of the opening band's first song, the crowd was moshing and crowd surfing. Testament and Anthrax are still just as much thrash metal maniacs as they were 30 years ago. Amazing night of a sweaty, smelly, moshing brotherhood of music.

This concert was amazing. I got to the show a bit late so I missed Death Angel, which was very disappointing, but seeing Testament and Anthrax was amazing. Testament in particular had a really intense show. The guitarist were on point with their speed and technicality, Gene Hoglan's drumming was insane, and Chuck Billy's vocals were PERFECT. Some of the songs they were playing were recorded in the 80s. The fact that they can still perform them so well live is a real testament to their ability. Pun fully intended. Anthrax was amazing as well. I do feel like the crowd wasn't so much into the newer songs they played, but when they played the classics it was awesome. They even played 2 songs from their first album, which was a pleasant surprise because I really didn't expect them to play any. Also Joey Belladonna's vocals were great. He couldn't quite hit all the high notes he used to hit in the 80s, but man, it didn't even matter. He's still got a great voice and can still sing his ass off. I'll definitely try to see Anthrax and Testament again whenever they come back to New York. \\m/

So much about this show was great. Mainly, the sound was spot on for all 3 bands. Having said that, you could hear how all 3 bands were also spot on. Death Angel was a short but sweet set, definitely a great way to open the show. Then came my personal favorite, Testament! The setlist was awesome with a good mix of new and old, I consider this the best Testament show I've seen out of the four times I've seen them, and that is saying a lot! Then of course came the headliners, Anthrax! Great performance, Joey sounded killer! Perfect night and if I wasn't typing on an iphone, I would have a lot more to say haha.

Great show. Would have been great to hear a few songs from the John Bush era, but I completely understand that with Joey Belladonna back on vocals it makes sense to emphasize songs written while Joey was part of the band. Death Angel were great as was Testament. In regards to ranking performances, Anthrax killed it followed by Death Angel and then Testament.

I wasn't a huge Anthrax fan before. I saw them at the Big 4 for the first time and thought they were good but didn't get to see the whole set because of how long it took to get into Yankee stadium. First thing first, hats off to Charlie and Frank for doing the show after the Death of Charlie's moms RIP. That took alot of Heart and I dont even think I would be able to do that after a death of a love one especially your Mother, So Much Love and Respect Charlie and Frank. The Best Buy was PACKED and the energy never died down even from the opening act (DEATH ANGEL). Death Angels set was pretty cool it was my first time seeing them and they were cool. TESTAMENT was nothing more than awesome, is it me? but why do I always suffer a hearing lost when I see TESTAMENT. These guys are LOUD and after seeing them my ears were ringing. ANTHRAX really got the place jumping, I never seen a Mosh Pit that started from the Begining of a set to the end. The High light was the song INDIANS in which everyone when NUTS from the front all the way to the back. The show was the end of ANTHRAX tour and they certainly went out with a bang. I been to countless shows and this one is one for the records.

Death Angel was a great warm-up band. They are still energetic and tight. It was great to see them again. Testament - wow. I went to this show with zero expectations about Testament. And when they came on and I saw Alex Skolnick on stage, I was blown away. I saw Testament perform better than ever and the guys looked comfortable on stage playing hard and fast and really tight. Anthrax - They really had the energy and punch and audience participation going on. I was really happy with their performance. And then, they came out for the most Metal Hard-Hitting encore ever. It was intense up to the last song. I'm glad I came out to see this show.

Death Angel came out and got the crowd going. Then Testament came and just destroyed...litterally, the Croc Rock Cafe's stage left speaker kept going in and out, it was just that loud and brutal. If you like Thrash Metal, this is your event. I enjoyed the event because I like different kinds of Rock. Alex Skolnick is always dynamic no matter what musical setting he is in. I actually thought the sound for Death Angel was a little better than Testament. The venue is large enough for a decent crowd. Don t expect much from the Crocodile Rock venue, but the beer is cold and is a good place to hang and watch a band. I would go back to the venue to see other bands.

Listen, what can one say... Anthrax, Testament and Death Angel. 3 of my favorite bands from the early 90's. The show was just as awesome as the show at the House of Blues in November (2011). It was awesome to have them come back and to Tampa, 5 miles up the road at the Green Iguana. I tell you what, I have to give them major prop's too! The place was awesome, the security gards were super cool letting everyone have fun, helping the crowd surfers "OVER THE WALL" so to speak, no pun intended. Not to mention they were hot too...

This was an absolutely amazing show! The fact that a band as big as Anthrax will still tour smaller venues like this and still get one on one with the fans says a lot about their attitude and commitment to the music and not the money. Wow. This was a show well worth every penny. It was three of the best classic metal bands, out touring to support and promote NEW albums, not just playing the nostalgia / greatest hits card so many other artists and bands do these days. The new material was represented well - several songs from each of the band's newest releases as well as a even helping of classic material from all of them. Death Angel started things off and got the crowd warmed up good on this cold November night... they were vicious with their attack but shared smiles of appreciation for the fans throughout their set. I would have liked to have heard a little more of their earlier material, but they still impressed and singer Mark was very cordial for pics and autographs later after the show. Testament wailed away on classics and new material and offered a dominating set with killer backdrops for effect as well. Nice to see Alex Skolnick back in the fold and new drummer Gene hammered away hard. Chuck Billy - one of the best frontmen in the genre and a helluva nice guy afterwards as well. Thanks Gene and bass player Greg for pics and autographs too. ...and then there was Anthrax, one of my all time faves - they kicked much butt with an almost 100% original lineup. Hadn't seen them in years but they didn't miss a beat, kicking thru much of their awesome new album 'Worship Music' and melding the classics throughout their rapid fire set. The Fillmore is an interesting place to see acts like this, with all the chandeliers and nice bathrooms, etc. but a refreshing change to the holes in the walls and dives that usually cater to metal. Rock on.

Death Angel was suprisingly really, really good. Testament had a lot of energy but the sound was distorted. You couldn't hear any of Chuck Billy's words, but overall a good performance. Anthrax killed it! They did a great job of mixing the new songs in with the classics. Joey continues to be one of the best frontman in metal today. There was a pit going on in the floor that lasted practically for the entire set. I've never even seen that at a Slayer show! Plus Joey got tackled by a fan and the security at the same time. They stopped halfway into the song and Frankie had to be held back cuz he was gonna kick some ass!

Though I missed Death Angel, I got in time to see Testament. Original line-up minus the drummer and everyone played spot on. Even with the typical sound mixing issues at HoB Orlando, Alex was able to sound off most of his elaborate solos and cut through all the rhythm. Greg's bass wasn't too muddy, and when he gets his parts to shine, it was clear enough to hear. Eric's rhythms were cutting and his leadwork was easily heard well. And Chuck, well, he's always been good at working a crowd. I was really happy to see Gene Hoglan sitting in at the drum kit. Fast and accurate, it's always amazing to watch him play. Not to mention Gene lost some weight! Testament played most stuff that had the original members on the studio album, but did do tracks off The Gathering. Over all, I was pleased. The songs from this band have energy that even if you've never heard of them, you'll dig a lot of their tunes, live or otherwise. Anthrax did well too. They did songs off their new album which are a bit of a departure from their earlier Belladonna works. But it didn't matter when they do a whole slew of the early fan faves. Scott and Rob's guitars were mixed real well and Frank's bass was as bright as it needed to be. Charlie's drumming is never anything to question and was mic'ed real well. And Joey definately still has the pipes from long ago. The only point I can take away from Anthrax was when it came time for Indians, Joey didn't have the head dress. But to give a point back, Scott stopped the show when the HoB security wasn't going to allow a circle pit when in Indian's they got to the "WAR DANCE!" part. He pretty much told them that YOU WILL let the crowd war dance, and YOU WILL get in the pit with them. Over all, great show. Very memorable.

Opening band was the reincarnation of Fred Durst. Anthrax was awesome!! Wished they would have played belly of the beast and I m the man. Beers are crazy expensive at HOB.

Nice to see a bunch of old farts, still charging hard! My son just turned 18, and this was his birthday present. First time in a pit. He had a blast! Anthrax and Testament singers sang very well. The guitar players knocked it out of the park! As a fellow old fart, very cool.

Seeing Anthrax was a dream come true for me. They didn't dissappoint. Truly amazing. Testament and Death Angel were abosutely killer. All 3 bands keeping thrash alive. Still creating amazing music and pushing the envelope. Good to see all generations there to witness thrash at its best.

Anthrax n Testament were as always awesome! The crowd really sucked tho. I felt bad for the bands because it was the last show they were playing together n it should have been crazy but the crowd was kinda lame n weren't loud or even seem excited. Scott Ian actually called them out on it which sucks even more because it kinda brought the guys down. I saw them at Big 4 and Starland ballroom both times were amazing shows. I love the house of blues n when I saw these guys were gonna be there I had to go no doubt. Just wish the crowd was as excited as I was so the guys on stage could feed off it. Instead of finishing the show cuz they had to. Keep up the awesome music guys I will see you again.

This event was held in the smaller Arena buildiing, and this surprised me because these bands are so awesome I expected the show to be completely sold out and packed, but it was not. Wasn't too sad about the low turnout though cuz I was easily able to get right up front close to the stage:) Death Angel's high energy stage action and radical riffs energized the crowd for the upcoming brutal Dark Roots of Earth by Testament. Testament showed their ability to withstand the sands of time by rocking the Arena from the floor to the roof. Anthrax followed and kept the momentum and moshing going all the way through to the very last song. Loved this show to death, angel. See what I did there:) My only disappointment came about when Testament ended their set and Alex Skolnick neglected to throw any picks out:( I was right in front of him and sooooo ready to catch one. C'mon Alex! give the fans a pick dammit. Still loved the show, and feel sorry for anyone that missed it.

It was a great show. However, the ticket said that the show started at 7:30, but the opening band, Deathangel, was finishing their last song at 7:30. We missed them all together. I felt that the Anthrax set was a bit short as well.

To me, who grew up on Metallica and Anthrax as a teenager back in Hungary, this was a big night! Especially with Anthrax performing with Joey, the singer I got to know the band with. It was a great, small-town show, reminded me of my first rock concerts of my life at age 16-18. The bands (Testament and Death Angel, too) played with the right attitude to the small crowd, I am sure they are used to much bigger audiences. It was an amazing experience. Very nostalgic!

Death Angel hit the stage with 5 songs and left the crowd wanting more. Their set ended too fast only to bring out Testament. Testament played a long setlist and kept the crowd thrashing around. Anthrax came out strong and played many songs off their latest album Worship Music (which kicks ass!) and kept everyone alive blasting Fight Em' Till You Can't and I'm Alive while throwing in classics like Medusa, Indians, and Metal Thrashing Mad. Oh can't forget Caught in a Mosh and Madhouse and I am the Law. The show was an awesome experience. I would definitely go again in a heartbeat. \\m/

You know those shows where you have to wade through an opening act or two while you wait for the headliner? That didn't happen here. First band up was Death Angel, and they still kick all the ass--fast, tight guitar riffs, killer vocals, and no chaff. They're probably the most underrated metal band out there. They need to headline their own tour, in fact. Do not arrive late to this one. Ditto for Testament. They still sound great, and Chuck Billy makes an awesome frontman. Plus if the zombies attack during a metal show, I want him having my back. Alex Skolnick and Eric Peterson still offer a killer 1-2 punch, and Gene Hoglan isn't called the Atomic Clock for nothing. (He also pulled double-duty that night, filling in for Charlie Benante who took off a new nights to be with his ailing mother.) And despite the drama that Anthrax has experienced during the past few years, looks like they're back on track. The band's tight, and the new tracks sound just as good as the classics. Welcome back, dudes.

Show was supposed to start at 7 but at 7 the gates weren't even open yet. When they DID open the gates, they used to main line as the box office too! So if you had a ticket, you had to wait for any and every ticket transaction in front of you. I'd say around 1000 people were still waiting in this debacle of a line when they decided to start the show!!!! So most people missed most of Death Angel's set. THANKS FOR NOTHING. Testament was great but the sound went out TWICE during their set. Anthrax was decent but their sound was horrible. Lead guitarist might as well have stayed backstage since not a single solo was discernible. Amateur production. I hope no good bands ever use this venue ever again.

I simply love love love Anthrax. However without Scott Ian I really felt like I was watching a coverband. Testament rocked as always and unfortunatly we missed DeathAngel. If any of you young ones out there have not heard Anthrax with Scott, you must, must go see them when Scott is playing. That man knows how to thrash!

On November 10, 2011 I went to see Anthrax with Testament and Death Angel. It was at the Electric Factory in Philly (a general admission venue). Anthrax was the headliner but it was sort of billed as a two band headliner with Testament taking the second set of the night. Death Angel was the opening act getting the shortest playing time. If memory serves correctly, the show was scheduled to start at 8 pm but Death Angel actually hit the stage at around 7:50 pm. As it turned out, people got their later thinking the show would not start on time. Most shows don't. You're lucky if a show starts exactly on time. Getting there 10 or 15 minutes late for a 30 minute set is a lot of time missed. This may have been the first time I saw a metal show start early. So it was bad luck for the Death Angel fans who got there late. Fortunately, I got in the door right as they went on. Musically, Death Angel did not disappoint. The San Francisco band has had a lot of ups and downs over the years. If I'm not mistaken, they are down to 2 of the classic 80s members Rob Cavestany and Mark Osegueda. The rest of the guys are replacements. I only recognized one song from their set, "Seemingly Endless Time." I guess they were trying to push some of their more current stuff. Cavestany and Osegueda are holding their own with this band. They are still very good. Testament went on next and if memory serves, they played for about an hour. They are back to their classic 80s original line up except for the drummer. Original drummer Louie Clemente retired from music years ago. Drum duties were handled by metal giant veteran Gene Hoglan from Dark Angel and Strapping Young Lad fame. I've been a fan of Hoglan's for years but never had an opportunity to see him live until this show. What a thrill!!! Hoglan played on Testament's 1997 album Demonic and is going to be on Testament's up coming release. He is filling in for regular Testament drummer Paul Bostaph who is out on injury leave. This was my second time seeing Testament. I saw them in 2010 on the American Carnage Tour. They were every bit as good this time around with the added benefit of a longer set list. They opened up with "The Preacher" and played most of their New Order album. They also played a few songs from The Gathering album including "DNR" and "3 Days in Darkness," which is about the Mayan calendar apocalypse theory. Vocalist Chuck Billy introduced the band members one at a time during the set instead of all at once. This let each member play a little something when introduced. Alex Skolnick is still one of the best thrash metal guitarists and Eric Peterson is no slouch either. It seemed like Peterson's guitar was a little louder than Skolnick's but I guess those things happen in live shows. Not everything is perfect in the mix all the time. As I mentioned earlier, Gene Hoglan did not disappoint. He's one of the cleanest, most solid drummers out in the metal scene. I'm looking forward to the new album. Anthrax finished the show and played about an hour and 45 minute set. I wasn't expecting them to play that long. Most multiple band shows have all the bands playing shortened sets so it was nice to see Anthrax put in the full time. I have been a fan of Anthrax for well over 20 years and for what ever reason I never got to see them live until now. They did not disappoint. They were supporting their new album Worship Music. They opened up with the tracks "Worship/Earth on Hell." It was on! These guys were out to take no prisoners. Vocalist Joey Belladonna sounded good and Scott Ian, the band's leader, was crushing with his right hand and shouting back up vocals like no body's business. Anthrax put in about six songs from the new record and at least half of their classic record Among The Living. During the song "Indians", Scott Ian stopped the band because he was not happy that the "war dance" was not violent enough in the audience. So it was funny when the song started up again and all the people got into this huge frenzy on the floor. I wish I had a video camera to capture that. Fortunately, The Electric Factory installed some bleacher seats in the back of the house since I was there last. So I spent most of my time there. I'm past the whole moshing and getting killed thing. I'm not old but I'm not a teenager anymore either. I'd rather put those days behind me. Charlie Benante was one of my favorite drummers when I was younger. It was definitely cool to finally see him live after all these years. He even threw in a little Iron Maiden "Where Eagles Dare" drum fill at the end of one of the songs. Classy. Singer Joey Belladonna is back in the band again. His original tenure was from 1985-1992. Then he was asked to leave. He rejoined from 2005 to 2007 then left for a second time. Fortunately, they got him back. He is the voice of Anthrax and that's the way it should be. Frank Bello is still a great bass player with his Steve Harris type riffs. Replacement guitarist Rob Caggiano is also a good player. As a side note, none of the bands had any flashy production or effects. It was a bare bones metal show where the music had the most attention. I hope to see Anthrax again soon. They are still one of the best bands of the thrash era. As a matter of fact, all of the bands at this show were great. These were the bands from the 80s that pushed the envelope as to what metal should sound like, and they are still rocking hard.

Death Angel were suprisingly good for the opener,"way better than I remember ". Anthrax didn't miss a beat,Indian's was awesome although Scott was under the weather so Eric "the gremlin" Peterson from Testament filled in,like gravy. However Testament tore the place down from start to finish with Alex Skolnick ripping every lead like nobody's business!!! Chuck's vocals were pitch perfect, which is pretty damned good for a guy who had throat cancer a few years ago. The intro to "Souls of Black" spotlight's Greg C's awsome prowess on bass and he was in rare form for this show strutting around hammering riff's left and right. All and all one of the best show's I've seen from any of these bands. But I'm biased and admit it. "TESTAMENT RULZ "

I would recommend Testament all day and night, they were amazing!! Death Angel was OK, but I was so disappointed that Scott Ian wasnt there that I left a few songs into the show...I realize that he was ill, but maybe they should have rescheduled because he was the main reason I was going, and they to find out by a note on the door. I think if Joey was ill they wouldnt have had another singer come up and fill in, and I felt ripped off!!!!

This is just for Testament, and Death Angel. I was very amazed, and very stood back by just the sheer fact of being able to watch 2 of my favorite bands live, on the same stage. Honestly, the biggest dissapoinment was not being able to see death angel for a longer period of time. It would have been nice to see death angel get to do at least a 90 minute show. Same for testament. I like anthrax, they are great, but they never were in my top list of bands to see.
