Bring Me the Horizon

Bring Me the Horizon

British metalcore outfit Bring Me the Horizon had its biggest US chart success to date in 2013 with the album Sempiternal, which reached  No. 11 on the Billboard 200. The quintet -- guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Mat Kean, drummer Matt Nicholls and keyboardist Jordan Fish -- followed up the album with concerts around the world, including a stint on the Vans Warped Tour and a co-headlining jaunt though the US with Australian metalcore band Parkway Drive, giving fans plenty of chances to pick up tickets to see the rising group. Sempiternal -- produced by Terry Date (Linkin Park, Deftones) -- marked a further evolution of Bring Me the Horizon, which began as a deathcore band but now has a more nuanced, varied, and melodic sound.

My son is a big fan of BMTH, so I got him tickets for Christmas. I didn't know what to expect - I hadn't really listened to them. Man, was I impressed. The energy and showmanship was incredible, and the stage presence of the lead singer was undeniable. Being an old school heavy metal fan, I could appreciate the music and lyrics without knowing every word to every song. I've raved about the show to everyone, and have been listening to their music on repeat since we got home. I would highly recommend seeing these guys live if you get the chance. You will not be disappointed.

Def not my fav show of the year. 1. venues changed. 2. Parkway drive cancelled. 3. Suicide silence replaced parkway drive. Awesome if only suicide silence played a full set. 4. BMTH cut their set short always. Yes a kid got hurt but umm that doesnt mean the band show have to shorten their set.

The venue was nice i like the Wiltern. I bought tickets to this show to see Parkway Drive. If I knew they were going to bail I would have not bought tickets. Suicide Silence was really good but did not make up for Parkway not being there. Honestly my friends and I were really bummed out.

First off the venue got changed to the wiltern which ended up not being a big deal. But the fact that the band I and many other people came to see was no longer on the tour, was very upsetting. The fact that we were not notified in any way seemed very unprofessional.

Suicide Silence and BMTH killed it! Very good performances, making the crowd sing and scream. A very rare moment was just spoiled by the venue, as there was not much space, with many reserved areas not accessible for most of the audience, and crew support coming all the time with flashlights to curb the happy people. Virtually no space for the mosh pit. Not acceptable.

The whole reason I went was to see Parkway Drive, and not until I get there do I find out that they're not playing. It's unacceptable that there was nothing posted that would let people know they weren't goin to be there.

I went to see parkway drive. NO WHERE on the internet did it say they weren't going to be there. I bought my tickets a month in advance. I show up, and discover after TWO BANDS in that they wont be playing. And they would not refund my money because they aren't a "headlining band". They had a stupid piece of paper on the window where you buy tickets that said Parkway Drive was not going to be there. Thats it. And I bought my ticket online so I never went up to the ticket booth. I will NEVER go to the house of blues again.

This show was so amazing. It was beyond amazing. There are no words to even describe it. The first 2 bands were pretty good, Emarosa was sick and I'd never listened to them before but now I definitely love their vocals. And ABR was incredible. That's the second time I've seen them and they were JUST as good the second time. The performance level alone is a 10 out of 10. Then if you add in the vocals....EPIC. And of course BMTH didn't disappoint. They played every song I wanted to hear and It was SO amazing. The bass level in the room was CRAZY at some points. I was absolutely BLOWN away by this show. I'd go see it every single night if I could!!

All the bands, with the exception of This Is Hell, were absoultely amazing! The mixture of band musical styles was perfect. As the show progressed, the crowd began to become more alive. By the time Bring Me The Horizon got on stage, the crowd was absolutely stoked and ready to throw down. Bring me The Horizon was the best overall, hands down! They had a lot of energy, sounded great, and had a good blend of crowd interaction and transition into their songs. I would absolutely recommend seeing this band, and the others, to anyone.

Getiing in was really fast and we all got wristbands for the pit..There was a lot of energy in the crowd ,and the bands were great..although the security gaurd was totally lame, the crowd surfing was awesome ;) august burns red kind of stole the show but bring me the horizon did freaking awesome too..i wish they wouldve played more off of count your blessings, and i wish they would have stayed on longer because they get down! but all in all everyone did fantastic.i'd go again .

Bring Me The Horizon was a disappointment, they had a longer set at the Warped Tour. The singer was a joke, no emotion, came out and sang, then when BMTH was finishing the instrumental to the last song, he walked off stage... August Burns Red was fantastic, better than listening to the album as far as playing quality. August Burns Red should have been the headliner.

the concert was amazing! I went with friends and we thought we had seats but once we got into the building we automatically had the pit which was cool because you had the option to either stand or go up to the seats if you wanted to sit. I haven't been to a concert in years and this was by far the best one I've seen in a long time. UM, FREAKING CONFETTI SHOT OUT AT US AND I HAVE NEVER SCREAMED SO LOUD IN MY LIFE. By far the best. Only downside was the venue's way of getting merch.

The tickets were worth buying to see Beartooth and Underoath but Bring Me The Horizon was horrible, we left after the third song. It was also disappointing seeing the bands being upset by the fact that the sound was completely off, one of the vocalist from Underoath was so pissed that he smashed his mic. This would of been much better at another venue.

I've seen BMTH 3x now - once in 2012, 2013, and this time, which I think will be my last. Oli simply couldn't keep up. You couldn't hear him for about 85% of the concert either because A). He wasn't singing and had the crowd do it for him or B). His mic was way too low. I don't blame the guy, necessarily. Just seems his vocal cords can't handle screaming anymore and he can't recreate the clean vocals he did on Sempiternal or That's the Spirit. The band was great and the visuals were stunning, but without Oli it was a wholly average show - too many overpowering drum kicks (and I looooove drums) and Jordan's keyboard. I really wanted it to be good, but this show was a whole lot more "Bring Me the Karaoke" than anything.

My friends and I got there at the beginning of Underoath's set, so I was pretty upset that we missed Beartooth, but BMTH definitely made up for it! The merch lines weren't ungodly and it went pretty quick, the beer garden was full and lively, and the music was great. I can't believe how great this show was. This was my first "hardcore" type show I've been to and I knew what I was getting into before I went. I am a big fan of the band so naturally I watched their Reading Festival and Glastonbury sets so I knew how rowdy the crowd could get. I'm pretty sure the Pageant was the smallest venue the band played on this tour and despite being that small they still brought the energy. "Open this place up, I know it won't be that big but we can only try" Oli said before instigating the first mosh pit of the night. The whole place was bumping with everyone yelling the words. The lights and the stage set up were phenomenal. Although, after looking back at the last time I was supposed to see BMTH I noticed their setup and setlist was quite similar to the time they played back in 2015.While this was my first time seeing them those who saw them previously back in 2015 were nearly getting the same set up just with different production and maybe a one or two song difference. Despite that, these guys were amazing and put on a show I will never forget. As someone who goes to a lot of shows, this is definitely in my top 5 favorite experiences and I truly believe everyone should attend a bring me the horizon show because even if it's not your scene the rush and the energy of the band and the people around you was so cathartic it was impossible not to have fun.

I've been to larger and smaller venues and this was one of the best shows I've ever seen and heard - my eardrums were dancing, you could feel the music the way music was intended - to feel in every cell of your body. It was a little difficult to understand them when they talked but I don't know if it was just them speaking too close to the mic or the acoustics were only meant for music and song but other than that it was great.

The headliners, Silver Snakes and '68, were actually a lot better than I thought they were going to be. Silver Snakes had some clear Chevelle-like influences, and as a Chevelle fan, I thought their music was pretty good. 68 ("Metallica") was a hoot and put on a real good show. The venue is in a league of its own. the Hard Rock in Orlando is legendary and needs no praise as its one of the best venues in the country. For the show bring me the horizon were on point. The playing, the performance, the sound, the crowd participation, were all killer. The only thing I would of liked is a longer set. They played just around 60 minutes. A big surprise was the opening act Pvris. They are a Boston based band and they killed it. Their song was female and she had such a good voice. Songs were hooky and at the end of the day, they made a fan out of me. The direct support band Issues were terrible. 2 singers. Well I singer and one guy who more or less was a cheerleader for the group most of time. On accasion he would just growl or scream into his mic which did not do the band justice. The main singer guy was decent. A little emo for my tastes but over all I wasn't impressed.

This allowed early entrance as well. Top that with a stellar line up and you couldn't ask for a better night! If you haven't seen Of Mice & Men or BMTH then you must be living in a cave. To top the night off, my awesome wife meet Austin Carlile and he was nice enough to pose for a picture with her......

I've seen shows from the last 17 years of my life (29 yrs old) and I can homestly say it was one of the best if not THE best show I've ever seen. From all kinds of metal style this was by far the best on visual effects and the sound just perfect!!!

This was a life changing event for me. I was just along for the ride dropping my daughter and hung out with the other dads in the bar............the more I listened I knew something beyond great was happening here. I've seen everyone in rock since I'm an old guy and this is in my top five shows for the past 45 years. If you don't like this music then you just "don't get it". BMTH hit the first few notes, the stage lights almost blind reflecting off silver falling confetti as the sound wave hits and the crowd jumps in unison....

Everything about this was perfect. Bring Me The Horizon put on an EPIC show. The venue where this was located was perfect too. Plenty of space for the huge amount of people that showed up to this sold out event. If I had to sum it all up in one word id definetly say breathtaking.

The Fillmore was a great place, which I will go again for concerts. We drove up from the Jacksonville, Fla. area. It was so worth it. The concert was the icing on the cake, BMTH, was so much fun, and we meet some cool people (Banana Boy) that was amazing. I enjoyed the wildness of the crowd, probably because I survived without injury!! All the bands were good, but BMTH was off the charts!!!! Also, thank you security personal for keeping us all safe!

Great venue, amazing bands, good vibes in the crowd. It was amazing we had the freedom to crowd surf, mosh and get wild but also the safety not to get injured. It's going to be a hard night to top

BMTH was awesome, and seeing them live was unforgettable, but the faulty amps and the microphones that kept going out mid-lyric sucked. At first I thought that all three bands just had crappy equipment (which seemed REALLY odd for BMTH), but now, after hearing about similar experiences with different bands at the Masonic Temple, I suspect it's the venue. I would, and hopefully will, see this band again, and recommend them to all my friends, but not at this venue. Not only on the coldest day of the year were they late opening the doors (my toes went numb, and I was seriously worried about frostbite), but their equipment was a shit-show. I expected more for the money I paid. Hopefully, when they come back, they'll go to freedom hill or the fillmore. Also, even though we paid for certain seats, they treated it as first-come-first-serve, and there was a lot of seat poaching. Their bathrooms were also really bad. None of the doors locked, so people just barged in, not knowing, and they looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the 70's. Enter at your own risk, or try desperately to hold it.....

As a concert enthusiast I can tell an okay concert from a good concert and a FANTASTIC concert from a good concert. Bring Me The Horizon did just that. They put on a fantastic show. Music sounded great, vocals were impeccable, lights and energy was contagious. It was simply, the best night of my life. When a band your obsessed with is finally 10 feet in front of you it's an unexplainable feeling. I crowd surfered for the first time in my life during Drown, the last song played and it was a magical experience. Like heavy metal music or not, you would enjoy BMTH.

Oli didn't scream or sing much. Left a lot to the crowd, and had also a backing vocal track. What is this a pop show?! Stage setup was cool. Didn't play much from their older catalog of songs. Mostly the latest (sellout album) and semp. I think played one song from there is a heaven/hell

If you are going back and forth on whether you should attend a concert with BMTH there, no need to go farther from this review. From lighting to the big screen behind the band when they play, it will be an unforgettable experience. I'm usually a pretty chill guy but even then I was head banging to throw backs and singing my heart out to the new songs. Just go.

Beartooth and underoath were fantastic. BMTH had too much bass, couldn't hear the lead singer. Venue was gorgeous, but poorly managed. Aisles were packed
