Heads of State headlined - and Ginuwine and Keith Sweat were the perfect warm up. Ginuwine included a mini-tribute to Heavy D before closing out with "Last Chance." Keith Sweat's performance ALMOST changed my mind about his Sweat Hotel radio show (don't get me started). I only wish that Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill had treated fans to a performance of "My Body" together. Although I've been a New Edition fan for what seems my whole life, this was my first time to see any of the fellas live. The medley of hits, the dance steps, and the playful interaction between the guys on stage took me back down memory lane. Meeting Ralph Tresvant and Bobby Brown before the show was so special for me that I am STILL floating three days after the concert!

I attended The Heads of State concert this weekend and I feel like I was robbed. The show started off great. Ginuwine came out and did his thing, Keith Sweat came out next and he was on point. Keith Sweat put on a very nice professional show that made the fans feel appreciated for spending their money. Okay now about this Heads of State crap. They came out on fire for the first 10 minutes and then they lost all choreography known to man. Ralph was just ok, Johnnie sound the best and was the best. He tried to keep the show going but that Bobby Brown was making all of them look like a MESS. Bobby did not know the words to his own songs, only knew half of the choreography, and he just look lost on stage. By the end of the performance Bobby was just walking around the stage talking to the band and looking at the floor like he had lost something. Yes he was doing this in the middle of the show while the other two guys where singing. The Heads of State performance was disrespectful to all the fans that paid money. If Bobby continues to act a fool on stage and not care to give the fans a quality show....Well he needs to go back to VH1 TV show and we can see that garbage for free. From one man to another.....Thank you Bobby for taking my money and making the first part of my date night SUCK just like your stage performance!

Let me begin by saying I love 90's music and I'm a HUGE NE fan! Love them to death. I must admit I was a little apprehensive about this concert because of the reviews of Bobby's performance lacking. Boy was I shocked!! Bobby performed his butt off! He sounded good and everything was on point. I love Johnny's voice as well, Ralph is my least favorite, however I enjoyed the show. And as always, the choreography was on point. The energy those guys generated was so amazing. I did not sit down not one time during their performance. A very entertaining show. Still waiting for a NE TOUR!! The opening acts were fantastic as well. The Rude Boys and Silk proved they still have talent after all these years and I hope to hear music from them in the very near future! They looked and sounded good. I really enjoyed myself and I'm still ranting and raving about Bobby's performance. This concert definitely showcased real talent, what is lacking in today's music!

Bottom line. I am a new Edition fan, but if it wasn't for Bobby their show would be dead. Ralph has not hit outside of New Edition and Johnny Gill gets to excited half way through his songs.

Let's start by saying, Heads of State, was mediocre. With a band like Mint Condition as your opener, that's a tough act to follow. If you don't have your act together, it can make for a long night. I think this should have been a Mint Condition concert with Heads of State opening. This is the only reason why the overall ratings for this show are so low. To the powers that be, take my suggestion and bring Mint Condition back to Oakland. I guarantee you will sell out the crowd. The only reason I found this concert was because I was searching for a Mint Condition concert...I didn't even know who Heads of State was. Heads of State would have been better had they just kept singing songs from their solo careers, but the New Edition songs they sung were not well rehearsed and they sound was not set up properly (kept hearing squelches from the microphones being too close to each other during Heads of State show. Ironically, this did not happen during the Mint Condition segment).

Mint Condition boring Heads of State stole the show, the old men really performed, I love that they included getting older into the show, it shows us all that we are getting older, NOT OLD!! When Bobby gave his last rose to a little girl, that really made my heart go out to his as a man, father and a human being. They had the paramount theater on it feet the whole show. Great Job

Mint Condition put it down as always...those brotha's know how to perform and they always sound good. As for the Heads of state I was very impressed with their performance however the audio wasn't that good. When the band was playing it completely drowned out the audio from the vocals.

I have seen New Edition before when they opened for Brian McKnight and they killed that show. I decided to go see this show and was really disappointed. I paid a lot of money to sit so far away that I couldn't see the singers. Mint Condition was great and would have loved for them to be the headliners for the night. That wou;d've been a way better show.

I was a little disappointed with the concert itself. Te venue was wonderful and the staff were helpful and professional. The concert to me didn't live up to the hype. Johnny Gill, however, was wonderful. He shared his gifted voice and improved the experience for me.

good concert, heads of state is worth seeing. keith sweat was pretty good but then again he wasn't the headliner either. the same for ginuine , of the 5 concerts i've been to this year the opening acts have performed better than the headliners. this was my first time going to an event at the verizion theater in grand prarie, texas in my opinion its a nice venue, however as one would expect it is very pricey 12 dollars a piece for wine or beer, and 20 dollars for nachos. oh yeah 15 for parking, not to mention about 25 dollars per ticket taxes and processing fees not including the 85 dollar ticket price itself .most people dont make a big fuss about it when they decide to take themselves or their boo out for a night of entertainment . and it is very well understood that everybody gotta make they money. but these prices are a bit of an overkill on what could be a rather enjoyable night.

I have to say that this was a concert that my hubby wanted to attend, I didnt even know about it, lol! I really enjoyed Genuwine, it seems like he hasnt aged a bit. His voice was great and he gave a good show. Ive never been a Keith Sweat fan but have always known his classics and would move to them when I heard them but I must give it up to Mr. Sweat, he gave a good show, I stood for the majority of it! Now his hype man? I dont know where this dude is from but the ppl around me and me myself, we laughed at him the majority of the show!! Now the headliners, Mr. Johnny Gill, Mr. Ralph Tresvant and Mr. Bobby Brown, they were the reason i even considered going. Ralph looks, sings and moves the same as he did 20 yrs ago! I love Johnny, and when he SINGS and not scream, he is the best doing it! Mr. Bobby Brown.....I love him, but he is a clown! He hardly ever sung, he was out of breath a lot, seemed to be drunk and was just clowning a lot!! I understand why the other members other than Johnny and Ralph find it difficult to trust that he would have serious work ethic. Though New Edition are suppose to definitely tour in 2012, Im not sure if Bobby will fit in with that and he's amazing if he got himself in shape and got serious....love you anyway Bobby! Overall, the show was really good!! Sooooo gooooo!!! ;)

Went to the Head of State concert; thought the total Concert went farily well until the headliners came on. What started to be a great show turned into a embarrasment on the part of Bobby Brown. The show really could have went on without him and the constant stopping and trying to cover fror his presence! Johhny Gill; carried about 45% Ralph carried the other 35% and sadly the rest was a joke!!

The show started with Geniune. He was pretty good. Keith Sweat was the next runner up and he stole the show. Wow! He is amazing. I was not expecting a lot from him but OMG he rode the white horse in and took a cloud out. So amazing. He had the audience captivated the whole time. A lot of fan participation when he performed. We left during the Heads of State. I was disappointed. I think they should have performed their own songs. They never crossed over to the mature audeince so the old songs with their mature voices didn't carry over too well in my opinion. I will have to say it was great seeing them. Johnny Gill still has a nice voice. Ralph is even ok. Bobby wasn't bad. Its just they should have performed their own stuff. MY opinion.

Bobby Brown was a hot mess! Because of him Heads of State should have been the lead show while Genuwine and Keith Sweat should have been the head liners. This concert was wonderful!!! Ginuwine opened for Heads of State and he was AMAZING!!! His voice was impeccable and he still looks good! He even did a Heavy D tribute that had the whole crowd on their feet dancing. Keith Sweat did a great job and looks like he has been hitting the gym recently too! Bobby needs some voice coaching and needs to drop the extra pounds but he still carried his own. I saw him in Vegas 2 years ago after he came off of Celebrity Fit Club and his performance then was amazing. I think he still has it in him, he just needs to work on getting his voice and his body in shape. Ralph was good too but Johnny Gill was the best! And he played the guitar!! They announced that New Edition is planning a reunion tour next year and I can't wait! I will def be in the building!

I attended the Heads of State concert in Dallas, TX on 11/12/11. Ginuwine and Keith Sweat were the opening act. I'm must admitt prior to watching them perform, I did not think Ginuwine or Keith Sweat were going to sound good live...WRONG!!!...All three acts were AWESOME. They were very entertaining and personable. I was very fortunate to of been able to watch the entire concert in front of the stage(had to kick my heels off from standing so long)!!! I felt like a little teenage groupie. Loved the tribute Ginuwine did for Heavy D. Bobby Brown spent a lot of his time at my end of the stage. He was so funny and was just having a great time with the crowd. Ralph came out into the audience and I was one of the lucky women to have Johnny hold my hand and sing to me. These men were awesome and made feel like they were worth every penny I spent and then some. Can't wait to see if NE will actually do a reunion. If so, my tickets will be bought the day they go on sale!!! This concert will definitley go down as one I will always remember!! Thank God for digital cameras and cell phones. I burned out both batteries, but have video and pics for the memories!!!

These guys still "Got it"! As a life long New Edition fan it's great to have the groups three best vocalists (no offense BBD) bring you back to those classic NE hits and then come strong with all of their outstanding post NE hits. What's truly great about these guys is that they continue to get EVERYONE outta their seats! The place was electric! I've seen either BBD, HOS or NE in concert over 20 times and they continue to give 110% for each performance. Sure, they're getting older (we all are), but they never phone it in. As for all of the praise for Mint Condition in the previous ratings...OK, they are good, but 2 things...(1) MC is not a headline act with enough chart topping material to make a whole show successful; and (2) the crowd was not as hyped up for MC as they were for HOS. That is just a fact.

HEAD OF STATE DIDN'T DISAPPOINT. EVERYBODY STOOD UP AND DANCED THROUGH THEIR ENTIRE PERFORMANCE. BOBBY WAS A BIT SLUGGISH AT TIMES, BUT HE WAS ENTERTAINING. JOHNNY SHOULD HAVE MADE A MORE STRONGER IMPACT SINCE HE WAS IN HIS HOMETOWN. I FELT BAD FOR EL DEBARGE, HE DIDN'T HAVE A BAND! HE HAD TO SING A LONG TO TRACKS (APPLE LAPTOP ON STAGE), BUT HE DEFINITELY WASN'T LIPSYNCING. HE PLAYED THE KEYBOARD AND SANG HIS HEART OUT!

Heads of State were amazing but I wish they would replace Bobby with Ricky. I saw this show last year so I'm a little late on the post. Thsee are the real Heads of State from New Edition(Ralph, Ricky, and Johnny). Bobby does not have the vocals he used to have I wish the guys would be honest with him. Bobby needs a personal trainer and a voice coach and that still might not work. Overall the show is a hit as long as Ralph and Johnny can continue singing Bobby songs. Bobby voice is harsh, scratchy, and ragged, and offensive to my ears especially when he tries to belt out the song through his straining voice. Yes, Bobby son coming out on stage is getting old and the family is very distracting.

I frequent a lot of concerts and most are blah. With one headlining artist and a few throw ins. However this was the first concert where every artist did their thing. Color Me Badd was to my surprise, GREAT. They can still blow. I wasn't sure about Al B, but he did his thing as well. I just wish he had done more songs. They had some kind of poetry thing after Al B and they could have kept that. After 7 is my all time favorite group. They did excellent. Wish Melvin was still part of the group but the new third member (I hear it is Melvin's son) was more than capable. And then we have Heads of State. My only gripe is that I wish Johnny Gill did a few newer songs, but having to share the stage with the other two, I understand that he only had a few he could do. Bobby and Ralph was fantastic as well. They all did about 3 solo songs each. It was great. I really hope they come back to Atlanta soon.

This show must have started on time. We got there at 8:30 and Color Me Badd had already performed. This was a great line up. Al B Sure was better than I remember him. After 7 has great voices and stage presence. Heads of State was who I came to see and they sounded great. Bobby got to do his big hits Ralph could have done one more. He didn't sing 'Do What I Gotta Do' and should have. Johnny always sounds great, but his song were all speeded up triple fas which was odd. They had a live band on stage but they had to be playing along with a track because we couldn't figure out what was going on during 'Fair Weather Friend' and 'My My My'. I may try to catch this same lineup again this summer.

All acts were good (particularly Bobby Brown and Johnny Gill), but Al B. Sure's performance was way too short. He only performed 2 and a half songs. His performance was great! Left you wanting more. Out of 10, I'd give the show a 7. This was my third time seeing "heads of state" & this show seemed rushed and thrown together. Don't get me wrong, I love children, but it's getting old that Bobby Brown brings his son on stage every show. Also, family members on the side of the stage is a distraction. Somewhat disappointed. But kudos to Johnny Gill! He's a great performer. Wish he had sung more of his new stuff

Next to the stage was After 7 and they looked very polished dressed in all white suits. They sounded awesome. Their dance steps were in sync and their harmony was immaculate. OMG! I could've listened to them a little longer. Of course, the headliners Heads of State walked on stage paying tribute to Trayvon Martin because the verdict had just been read. Heads of State were very energetic and highly entertaining. Bobby Brown danced better than the last two tours with New Edition. Hooray for BB. JohnnyG can sang. Whoa.

Great show from start to finish. Al B Sure, Color Me Badd, After 7 all gave great old school R & B show. They all actually came into the crowd.. handed roses to the ladies and was hands on.. love the old school who is not too Hollywood to get in there with the fans. Heads of State were great mixing all of their individual hits well. It was well worth the money.. party from start to finish!!

My family and I enjoyed the concert so much, we had a blast. All acts did a great job. Not sure who the guy was that rapped before Heads of State came out but he could have stayed at home.

I've waited a long time to see HOS, they were awesome and Bobby is still both funny and sexy and Johnny's vocals were awesome and for the first time in a long time Ralph looked happy on stage and finally they all seem happy and having fun on stage, no tension, just a lot of love and respect for one another. I can't wait for New Edition to hit the road.

Ralph and Johnny can sing and you will be up dancing the entire show. Bobby is Bobby and he's entertaining..he's going to make you laugh as long as you don't expect to see the Bobby Brown from 1990's. This is a older calmer Bobby. He get's tired fast but Ralph and Johnny has his back and sings his parts. It's seems like these gentlemen really like each other.

This concert was astounding!! I found the teenager spirit in me again. Genuwine & Keith Sweat were the right appetizers to set things off. And the Heads of State were AWESOME!! I am proud of all these guys and what they bring out of themselves to entertain us. I'm so proud of Mr. Bobby Brown and Genuwine whom I think have fought great obstacles to still be a part of this industry. I'm going to keep lifting them up without tearing them down. I can't wait to see NE 2012 tour!

Bobby Brown was a joke. The show would have been so much better without him. We are not teens any more and the panties being thrown on the stage at him was a total turn off for me. He needs to hit the gym before touring again, I did not pay for him to rub his belly and tell me he was fat. The best part of the show was Keith Sweat, he should have been the headliner and have Johnny and Ralph open for him. Ginuwine held his own also.

After seeing the Heads of State in Grand Prairie, I can not wait for the much anticipated New Edition Reunion and World Tour. Ralph said all six members will participate.
