The Fan Fair was fun don't get me wrong. Leave it to the NHL and or Nashville to screw it up the one time that I go. I read about this event in other cities and was very excited to go and bought a 4 day pass. I was a little disappointed in the experience even though I had fun. There were not nearly enough player interaction or autograph chances. Also, the mascots were no where to be seen unless they were doing an event and then they disappeared. I managed to get 11 pictures but had a goal to get them all. Also, they did a terrible job of letting you know the schedule of events for the day. If I were to go again it would be for one day only. I was fortunate enough to get 3 Hall of Famers to sign something as well as Cliff Ronning. I would have gotten Matt Duchesne but the NHL lady said he didn't have anything to sign. Wrong! All in all it was a good experience that I would recommend to any hockey fan.

Great that i got to see the Stanley cup. To bad you wait in line for thirty minutes so someone can take your picture on a cheap phone and push you through the line. Picture came out blurry and TINY. If you have kids they will have fun. But the number of booths and displays was disappointing. Long lines at everything. They need more things to do to spread the crowd out more. It only cost $20 but i would have rather paid $40 and actually enjoyed it.

The event was tons of fun and the NHL and the sponsors did a very good job of providing a lot of things to do. The amount of free to cost events was overwhelmingly in the free category. The ONLY downside was the mapping out and planning of the event, which I hope can be fixed for the LA event in 2017. The Discover #HockeyLife interview stage was literally 50-70 feet from the concert stage. Which wouldn't be a problem IF there weren't interviews and events happening at the same time. It made the interview VERY difficult to hear & understand. They SHOULD have had the 2 interactive areas like that on separate ends of the venue. Digging deep, the only other suggestion would be a slightly better upgrade in the concert lineup. I"m sure they were trying to be "traditional" in their Nashville frame of mind, but not every artist had to be country or from the TV show "Nashville".

Lots to do for all ages. Autographs, hockey cards and memorabilia, team mascots interracting with everyone, you could test your skills, and the best part was seeing the Stanley Cup and all of the other league trophies.

This was the first time we attended the NHL Fan Fair. While I enjoyed the overall experience, I was highly disappointed at the lack of vendors that were there selling memorabilia. I feel there could have been more vendors for each team there selling their own "wearables" and souveniers. I would hope that in the future, the teams embrace this opportunity to get more fan-wear out to the fans.

Wasn't anything close to what was advertised. Hour wait just to do an activity. 2 hour wait to have your picture with the Stanley Cup. 30 min wait for concessions. One player doing autographs and he was a no name. The list of players to come for the rest of the day were nobody's. And I am a hockey fan and know who players are. Gift shop marked up 20% of the already high prices. If you're into the mascots then you had a good time.

The event was a lot of fun, plenty of booths and things to keep you occupied. Lines were long but that is expected with the Allstar game and line control was handled very well so that was great too!

Simply awful! Waited 1 hr just to get in the door when we already had tickets. One inside, there were a ton of cool things to do. However, everyone of them had an incredibly long line! I understand lines and can deal with them in some respect, but when you only have 5-10 things to do, you cant wait hours to do them. The line to see the Stanly cup took over 2 hours to get through! The skills booths were all over 1 hour as well. No re-entry was allowed so if you missed something before the game, you couldn't go back and see it later. Overall one of the worst fan experiences I have ever been to. I have been to the Big 10 fan fest and the Super Bowl festivities too......both 10x better than the NHL event!!

A lot of expensive publicity and hype. Great to take my son; very cool to see the Stanley Cup and have pictures taken. Upper Deck display not exceptional; having a card made for a child, not free...

The NHL Fan Fair at the Columbus Convention Center was one of the main attractions to this weekend's NHL All-Star game. For those of us who weren't able to get tickets to either the game or the skills competition, this event which is pretty much once in a lifetime experience since All-Star games tend not to repeat locations. This was my first time ever being in the Convention Center & was impressed not only with the size of things (this is the largest event ever put on by the NHL) but also by how smoothly they kept the crowds moving in & also how spacious things were. This is a very family friendly event with things to do for kids & adults of all ages & there is enough to do to keep people occupied for hours. With souvenirs things were relatively well priced thus making this an event the entire family can enjoy

It was a great event. Meeting the players was awesome. However most of the people that worked there didn't know where the information area was inside the event. The only one that was available was outside the event room but you couldn't come back in once you went out. Unless you fond the event manager, which was hard to do. Other than that it was great

Although I didn't attend the game (watched it on tv-embarrassed for hockey by the end) I greatly enjoyed the FanFair. The atmosphere was all hockey. This is almost impossible to artificially manufacture, but was the result of the work put into the event by the organizers. The 2-hour wait dissuaded me from having my picture taken with the Stanley Cup, but I enjoyed the displays of the other trophies. I attended with my wife and an adult son and daughter and we all enjoyed the event.

My son and his Dad attended the event and they loved it. The only negative comment they had was that there weren't more actual players from the All Star team in attendance each day so they could meet them and get autographs. My son is a Columbus Blue Jackets fan and he really wanted the players from that team's autographs but they weren't at the event until Sunday and our tickets were bought for Saturday. What I have seen done i the past that worked out well for everyone was to hand out a poster with all the players at the door when entering the event and have the players scheduled at different times throughout the day seated at long tables and let the fans go down the line so each player can sign by his picture on the poster. That would make it easier on players and fans. Otherwise he was very pleased.

This event must have been a big success for the organizers- but the fans were disappointed. You couldn't do anything without waiting in line for a minimum of :30-:60 minutes. Everything looked pretty cool, I just wish they had limited the amount of people better.

Great display of the activities for the All Star games. From the line up going in, I expected to be crowded when inside. The activities were spaced nicely so that you never had the feeling of being over run. The Cup area was highly attended and the wait was to be expected, but the thrill of being next to the cup and having ones picture taken was worth it all.

Most of the events were Very unorganized, and I was really disappointed that very few guys were signing at the event and no hhof were. You would wait and line for hour just for player to show up and then as soon as the player gets there they tell you they are only signing those little cards, and you dont even know who was signing until you walked in the doors. Definitely not as good as the past fan fairs and all star games.

We were not impressed. Several things for kids to do, really nothing for adults to do unless you wanted to stand in a 2 or 3 hour wait line to get your photo with the trophy or go shopping at the overpriced store. We were sorry we paid the $29 to go. Not to mention the $10 for parking. It was worth it.

The one thing that really really sucked was there was no re-entry. It is an all day event with a street fair outside. So you could not leave and go to the street fair and then go back in. If you went in at 3:00 you would have to stay inside for six hours before the fantasy draft even started. There were not enough players for the fans to see. There was only one guy at a time autographing. We waited in line for an hour to see Jeff Skinner only to be told that they were cutting off the line in front of us and we had waited an hour for nothing and then one other player would start autographing and you had to wait in line all over again to see him. It seemed very poorly thought out and organized.

Our first trip to fan fair with our daughter who is a huge Predators fan. Immediately upon entering we saw this is actually a trade show with rows and rows of vendors wanting you to sign up for their products. Most of the fun games were for small children. Our daughter bought one figure and received a few free golf balls and was ready to leave in a hour. Not worth the money to enter. Not worth the $24 to park. This should be advertised as a trade show and not a fan fair.

We were excited to attend the Fan Fair and some of the other All Star festivities when it came to Columbus! We entered the convention center, and there were definitely a lot of activities, but a lot of them seemed more geared toward younger children. There were some cool opportunities such as seeing the Stanley Cup and all the other trophies, as well as player meet and greets. All in all we are glad we were able to attend, but definitely recommend it for families!

Had a great time this past weekend in Columbus. The fan experience at the convention center was laid out really well and had many activities for adults and kids alike. As always, Nationwide Arena and the entire arena district continues to be the place to go in downtown Columbus. Several good restaurants and bars to choose from. The outdoor ice rink was a blast and it looked like everyone was enjoying the snow slide, from the looks of things. If you've never been to an all-star game in any major sport, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Went to event - the BEST thing was getting to see the Stanley Cup! Do not understand why there was an admission charge - many vendors! Shot the puck from a lot of the vendors - very lame nothign original. . WORST thing there was Upper Deck making you buy trading cards to get a pinky sized picture on a trading card - what a joke! I beleive it was pay $20 on cards and go to the front of the line or buy a smaller pack and wait in line.

Both my husband and I had tickets for all three days. Why was there no weekend pass available? Strobe lights and fake smoke? Was that really necessary? Why were there not more autograph guests--perhaps Johnathan Toews or Patrick Kane or Alex Ovechkin. And they could have included more vendors. There was enough empty space for a tank to drive through.

The NHL Fan Fair event is great but standing in line for nearly 2 hours with 2 pre-teen boys to play 75 seconds worth of hockey was hard to justify, epecially given we drove 1.5 hours to get there. We only had time to do that one drill and missed out on seeing the Stanley Cup. You need to get there early and make a full day of it. Wear comfortable shoes too.

The NHL Fan Fair was a great experience and it's an attraction every hockey-loving person should attend. There was plenty of games to participate in, a chance to see and touch the Stanley Cup, and food/drink was readily available. The only drawback for my son and I was the blaring loud music, which made it difficult to communicate unless you were inches away from the other person's ears. The songs were repeated so often I felt as if I was in a Wal Mart Super Center. One of the best parts of the weekend was the availaibility to get autographs of some of the top young players, especially rookies Aaron Ekblad, Johnny Gaudreau, and Filip Forberg. Even better was the Upper Deck card company providing 5x7 photos for the players to sign.

No wonder the NHL is irrelevant. No clue how to build a fan base. Took my two little kids, hardly anything to do. Long lines. What kid likes to wait in a line at a fan fest. That we paid to go to! Something fundamentally wrong with a six year old waiting in line behind 10 old men to play a game. Who are your fans? The 30 and 40 year old man in jerseys? Or the hundreds of kids that were there to play games? Also, did not see 1 pro. Lame. Been to the MLB all star game, NBA all star game. Both fantastic and kid friendly. Not to mention FREE! Get a clue. You guys are so out of touch. Make it Kid friendly! 10 and under friendly. Not 40 year old man in a jersey friendly.

A gaint party celebrating hockey and the NHL complete with strobes - dancers - music and the stanley cup. The problem. Everything had 2 and three hour lines. 3 hours to see the cup at which point the line was closed, 2.5 hours to use the snow slide outside, incomprehensible lines for any of the try it/skill type attractions. So I'll start this right off the bat with the negatives about Fan Fair: Don't do the line for the Stanley Cup, the Autograph Stage or the Discover Theater unless you have the time to stand in line for a really long time. But other than that, the way the Fan Fair is laid out (at least for Nashville's setup at the Music City Center), you are able to do a lot of activities and events in at least two days. And I recommend at least two days because there's no way you can do and/or see everything in just one. If you don't have the funds to attend the pay events at the arena, the Fan Fair is an absolutely amazing consolation. You can take slapshots, do the same skills the players do, take a picture with and get an autograph from the NHL Mascots, watch those same mascots compete in a series of events called the Mascot Showdown, and so much more. Nashville did a great job hosting the All-Star Weekend this year. Other cities in the future have a high standard to compare to, because Nashville's performance simply blew me away. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I won't forget, ever!

Attended with 10 and 13-year-olds, and there was something for everyone. Lines get REALLY long for the interactive shooting/accuracy activities. It would have been great if they offered reserved times for autographs. Instead of making people wait for hours in lines, allow them to reserve a spot with the players giving autographs, like we did with the Stanly Cup! This would have been a great improvement. Food seemed to be an afterthought. It didn't even appear on the event map, though beer was conveniently located.

I took my wife and two kids. We had a great time. My daughter really liked all the mascots. My son plays hockey so he really enjoyed the interactive booths. Saturday was our activities day and Sunday was autograph day. The kids enjoyed Saturday a lot more than the hours in lines on Sunday. I did not like the way the lines were formed for the autographs. The lines were formed all at once. Meaning, we were in the Shea Weber line for 11AM so we were guaranteed not to be in the Pekka Rinne line for 12PM and then we barely made it into the Roman Josi line for 1PM. It seemed a little unfair that you could not get autographs from all the players even if you wanted to.

You just shouldn't expect much. The cost of everything is ridiculous. I mean I get everyone gets a cut but 40 bucks for a t-shirt!! And the Lines,I mean is like a theme park. The line to get your picture takin with the Stanley Cup closed at 3 o'clock!! On Saturday!!! The skills comp and all-star tournament was great ON TV..... Fan fair sucked!!! Maybe it just wasn't what I expected. There was virtually no history there, which was what I was looking forward to most.

NHL All Star Weekend surpassed my expectations! The NHL, the Predators and everyone else involved provided an amazing time to all hockey fans. It was great to meet other fans from across the country and to show off our great city. From the Fan Fair, to the Red Carpet to the skills and game, it was all fantastic.

The Fan Fair was tremendous fun! The Games and presentations were appropriate for every age group and allowed anyone; whether the biggest hockey fan,or the newbie, to experience hockey like never before. Music was great, games and entertainment were phenomenal, but the southern hospitality was above and beyond!

I wish there were more autograph sessions. Taking picture with Stanley cup was cool. Just wish it wasn't rushed.

The NHL, The Nashville Predators and the city of Nashville put on a great show. For a family of hockey fans it was the best day. Lots to do and everyone was nice.

What a great event to take our family. So many things to do but some long lines. I thought the price was high considering we had to pay $20 for parking too. But overall it was great since we didn't have all star tickets. Music was great and Preds employees always nice to work with.

I brought 2 teenagers and myself, lifelong hockey fans, to Fan Fair since tickets to the actual All Star Game were too expensive for our family. We figured it would be fun - sounded like a big event with lots to do! We were disappointed at the babyishness of the events. So many " shoot the puck" events. Even the Velveeta cheese fountain was very hokey (dare I say "cheesy"?) and designed simply to market Velveeta...not hockey related at all. Air hockey and bubble hockey are things I can do anywhere, I don't need to spend $$ to do it. Seeing the trophies was terrific and well done. The mascots were around and lots of fun. The tents to hear player/coaches interviewed was a great idea - but too spread out, not enough , and not really venues for Autographs which is what my teenagers were really hoping for - player sightings and autograph opportunities.

The Fan Fair did a very poor job of communicating when and where events were taking place. in addition, there were two Honda Stages but did not mention one was inside and one was outside.
