CAFÉ TACUBA IN CONCERT: Grammy-winning Latin rock outfit Café Tacuba has been wowing audiences with their eclectic sound and adrenaline-fueled live shows ever since their self-titled 1992 debut album first made them superstars in their native Mexico. I was excited to hear that Cafe Tacvba was celebrating their 20th anniversary that I knew I had to witness this event. The closest venue to me was Universal City so I made plans to be there. Cafe Tacvba played over 3 hours and put on a great show as always. They even had the "unofficial" fifth Tacvbo Alejandro Flores who joined them for a few songs...my favorite Las Flores. Thisi s the second time that I have seen them live and they started on time, interacted with the audience. My only regret is not having seats closer to the stage!

I like the venue, its small enough to get close to the artist. The band was great. Unfortunately the sound was not so great. Not sure if its the bands engineers or house engineers, but it just was not clean, especially the singers voice, can not really describe it. Not my first time at this venue, seen many bands, different genres.

After years of not having a concert by themselves, they did not disappoint at all!! Full of energy since the opening song, "El Baile Y El Salon" to the very last song they played, "Quiero Ver." The only thing is that they did not play "Ingrata" which was not cool at all, but i give it to them to stand by their views. Overall a beyond great experience and I cannot wait to go see them again!!!

Long time fan but first time Café Tacuba concert. I was a bit skeptical since some of the shows I've been attending there were a bit disappointing and I was really hoping this would be different, and it was! It was a full house, awesome show, I am now a lover of this band! Heck, even the opening band was pretty good. My only complaint, if any, is the sound quality. Yeah its not the opera house, but still I wish they could improve it somehow.

This was the 2nd Dia De Los Muertos Celebration held at the Santa Barbara Bowl. From what we've read this year was a huge step up from last year. During the intermissions between the bands they had smaller acts performing in the "standing room" area in front of the stage. They were all great. The costumes, colors and variety of the groups was completely entertaining. So many of the people in the audience dressed up and painted their faces for this festival. It was great just to walk through the crowd and look at all the wonderful ways people really got in to this. There were also alters, low rider bikes and other displays to look at as you walked up the path to the venue. We will definitely attend this event next year.

Cafe Tacvuba was the first band I ever saw play a live show. The first time I saw them was about twenty years ago! My parents were just so awesome that they took me with them. This time I went with my dad too! We had so much fun! We danced! We laughed! We recorded videos with our phones. Cafe Tacvuba was on point! They played old songs, newer songs and did some cute choreographed dancing. I loved every bit of it. The venue was really nice. It was my first time at this place. The beer was on the expensive side, but I wasn't trippin. I used the restroom downstairs which was kind of odd. It was huge! But only one toilet? Anyway, I bought two posters from the merch booth. One of them was signed by the band! There was a cool DJ after the band was done, but alas, I had to go to work the next day and made my way back to LA.

Oh my god! best concert ever! I was front and center, had to get there a little bit earlier but well worth the wait. They interact a lot with the fans, their little dance routines are awesome. Lots of energy, lots of fun!! Word of advice, if you are on the floor don't leave to go to d bathroom or get drinks because on the way back they will not let you back in, even if the concert hasn't started, even if your friends are on the floor, so make sure you get your drinks and pee before you go down. They don't tell you this but it happened to our friends. Anyway, I got to take pictures with Ruben outside after the show, he was very nice to his fans, gave autographs and took tons of pics with people. This is a band everyone needs to go see, they are awesomeness.....they rock!

Saw them at Coachella in 2013 and they were ridiculous! They ripped through a bunch of songs with such energy I just couldn't help but dance. I had a blast even though I didn't know what they were playing as I only knew two of their songs before seeing them (and they didn't even play those!) After this show, I looked up all their stuff and became a die hard fan. The show was so good the sound went out before they completed their last song but heck, the crowd helped them finish it with gusto!

It's been 20 years waiting to see them. Finally had the opportunity in the US, go figure. And the concert and lights and band everything was worth the wait. Juan has so much energy, I couldn't keep up. I went with a longtime friend which made this concert extra unforgettable. I would definitely see them over and over and over again. One thing that I noticed about Cafe Tacuba is that they feel the music. It lives through them. They were singing from their heart and souls. Great show great entertainers.

I was impressed by the clarity of the sound, every instrument played was easily recognized and not distorted at all. We stayed close to the floor section for most of the concert and before it was over we went to the upper level and I was still enjoying the music. The personnel were very courteous, the venue and facilities were really clean. Can't wait for another concert in this place.

The concert was the best of the best! "Los Hombres G" remind me that the music of the 80's is the best ever. With their romantic, and sensible style convine with rock-pop made me go back to my teen's years,and brought wonderful memories. Amazing! "Cafe Tacuva" with their unique energy and carisma made the second part of the concert to close to a high energy level. I just could resist to jump, dance and sing along all their songs!

I believe that when you go to a concert you at least want your band to play a little over an hour, especially when you pay a fair amount of money for the tickets. I was disappointed because each of the bands played one hour and then 30 minutes between bands to get ready.

This is my third time seeing Hombres G in concert, we loved it! Cafe Tacvba was over the top amazing. I would love to see them again. Truly a great concert and venue. We were really close;)

All three bands that played were amazing. The only thing I would suggest is that they have more activities before the show. Gates opened at 4, but the music didn't start until almost 6pm. We were expecting more activities in those 2 hours (games, food, etc). The atmosphere was wonderful though, everyone was into El Dia de Los Muertos. The outdoor location was also perfect for a rock en español concert, weather was perfect.
