We enjoyed the show. His voice was broken and raspy in his midrange and became pitchy in the high range. I was heartbroken at the end when I saw they had to lift him from the piano. They led him to a chair and put what looked like braces on his legs. He then shuffled off the stage. So so glad I got to see him before he can t do it anymore .

What a wonderful time my mom and I had seeing Ronnie Milsap at the Birchmere! He is a top notch performer and you can tell he still loves every minute of it - just as we did. He played all of our favorites and really made it a night to remember. I have always loved Ronnie Milsap and I do even more after seeing him in person. May God bless him with many more years to share his music with his fans!

Ronnie Milsap was outstanding. He is amazing. He plays and sings his music with such power. He has not changed in years. I have watched him in concert several times and I still enjoy his music tremendously. Fans are obviously delighted with him cause they pack the concert halls. He should play forever. Class act!

With 40 #1 hit records under his belt, Ronnie certainly doesn't NEED to tour. Sorta makes you wonder why he does - but once you sit there and hear his voice and watch the crowd give him standing ovations, you realize that there is a shared love between the fans and Ronnie! I think it is Ronnie's way of paying back the years of support from fans who truly find meaning in his songs: What a Difference You've Made in My Life - truly written to thank fans was great! As were True Love, and my personal favorite: I Wouldn't Have Missed it for the World. The voice has lost very little (he did avoid holding the high notes a bit...but it was hardly noticed). The acapello Doo-Wop performance with the band members was perfectly harmonized and enthusiastically received by fans - enjoyable to the max! This show and trip down memory lane with a GREAT performer was worth twice the money! GREAT

Ronnie put on an incredible show as always at Billy Bob on Saturday August 8th. The band was smoking hot and rocked the house. In addition to his regular songs he plays he also sang Button off of my shirt and Earthquake. The crowd was on their feet after every song and an excellent time was had by all.

Ronnie still puts on a consistently good show. Lots of hits and fun to walk down memory lane. Could have done without the on stage chatter. Couldn't understand most of it and felt as if we were missing out on their inside jokes. Lots of lags in the performance as a result. Tempo of the music seemed slugish too. Probably not the best venue to see anyone!

We have been long time fans of Ronnie Milsap and last night's show did not disappoint. His voice still is firm and strong and he can still play the piano like no other. All our favorites were performed and the final encore was a tribute to our soldiers and our country. He thanked our military personnel then sang a very moving rendition of America. I know it brought tears to my eyes. Ronnie Milsap is a generous performer thanking his band and support staff numerous times as well as giving thanks to his fans and the radio stations for still playing his classic music. Our only regret was that he only played 1 1/2 hours - we could have listened a lot longer.

My husband and I have lived in Texas for 5 years now. Last night when we went to see Ronnie Milsap was our first trip to Billy Bob's. I must say that it was an unforgettable experience. I really enjoyed the fact that it was a small atmosphere which was more personal. Billy Bob's was massive and very impressive. Can't wait to go back.

Thought song selection was excellent although would like to have heard even more hits. Concert was 1.5 hrs and needs to be 2 hrs to do him justice with all the hits. Also an encore performance would have been a better ending. It ended after America the Beautiful (nice touch), but without an encore you always feel a little let down. All said, he has a great voice and very worth seeing live. Keep up the great work Ronnie and take my suggestions as simply a way to put some extra edge on the overall performance. You still got the great voice & will always be an admirer.

I was very disappointed that Ronnie Milsap talked more than he sang. I did find his speech motivating, but I came to hear him sing. I am glad the event was to make money for Camp Good Days so I wasn't totally disappointed that I spent $55 for 30 minutes of singing and more than 45 minutes of speaking.

This concert was lame. For starters it was just barely over an hour long. He narrowed down all of his greatest hits to a 5 minute mix-mash song. He spent over half of the show singing songs that weren't even his songs. Him and the band spent a lot of time going over a poorly rehearsed script that was not funny or entertaining. Over all it was a poor performance. Ronnie Milsap is getting older, and these tickets were cheap, but I would not waste another night for that.

Ronnie Milsap was excellent! The concert started promptly at 7:30. The sound was great. Ronnie sang many of his hits and the band sounds good as well. The Birchmere doesn't have a bad seat - we arrived around 6:00 and found good seats. The waitress and wait staff were prompt and our food was delivered quickly. Very good wait service! The food was excellent and not too overpriced for a concert. I would definitely attend another concert at the Birchmere or pay to see Ronnie at a different venue.

Mainly, it was nice to see him, and it seemed like the rest of the crowd appreciated that the most too. This was my first time seeing him in concert, and probably will be the last as I don't expect he'll be doing it much longer. The show was by far the shortest of the three shows I've seen at the Birchmere. He probably only did like 7 songs in full and did a whole bunch of others in part in a medley. I was surprised that It Was Almost Like a Song was left out, but most of his other big hits got worked in there somewhere. Rhonda, a backup singer and acoustic guitarist, sang two classic country songs in the second half of the show, which helped keep it from being too short, and she did a good job. The musicians in the band appeared to be pretty talented, but the music varied quite a bit as to how well it matched the original songs.

With no warm up act, I was surprised at the 75 min length of the show. He is clearly a gracious man and wonderful entertainer. However his voice has lost its range and tune over the years. Last time I had tickets to see Ronnie Milsap was 37 years ago and at the last minute I was not able to attend. I've waited decades to see him and was eager to attend. When I bought the tickets it was billed as a standard concert. I expected Milsap to play all his greatest hits; the ones that made him famous. He probably played about 2/3 of them, but some of those he just sampled; maybe just one verse and one chorus rather than the entire song; more like a medley than hit song after hit song. Additionally, he sprinkled in a bunch of Christmas songs, probably 5 or 6 and they were FULL songs, one by his backup female singer trying to prance around like Brenda Lee. The concert was advertised as 40 #1 hits in 41 years. That's what I expected to see. I felt ripped off that the concert was only 1 hr. 15 minutes and that it was not billed originally thru the casino as a Holiday Hits show until we got there. If I want to hear Christmas music I can go see the local High School choir. I wanted Ronnie's best and I didn't get it. I know he's years past his prime and maybe he cannot play for a full 2 hrs. anymore, but if that's the case, cut the Christmas act and sing the #1 songs all his fans love and want to hear.

I purchased tickets as birthday gift for my husband. Show lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes and consisted mainly of Ronnie singing Christmas Carols. I did not pay to hear him sing Christmas songs. He played 4 of his songs all the way through and then a 9 minutes medley of his biggest hits. Some band members sang lead on some songs which were good but we wanted to hear Ronnie Milsap. Very disappointing show and I would not pay to see him again.

I was disappointed. I am a long-time admirer of Ronnie Milsap's music. To be fair, this was his Farewell Tour. He is in his 70's and I'm not sure that he is or isn't fighting some health related issues that is behind all this. But I was disappointed that instead of giving a regular concert, he spent most of the night singing compilations of three or four of his past hit songs. I believe that he sang about three songs in their entirety. He had his female backup singer sing a Loretta Lynn and a Patsy Cline tune, and to her credit, she was outstanding. He finished with "America the Beautiful" which probably played well with the demographics of the audience, but it wasn't necessarily a great finish. We were done in an hour and 15 minutes, well short of expectations. I drove three hours to see this event. I understand the cost of the ticket was relatively inexpensive compared to similar performers of his pedigree, but I'd have gladly payed double to have had a concert that ran the full length and wasn't about cutting corners on entertainment.

Not a bad seat in the house. Mystic Lake has a great facility. Except for combining some of his great songs into a hooked-on-Milsap melody, Ronnie always puts on a great show. Last time I saw him he dazzled the fans that were there to only see Glen Campbell (I was one of them). With 40 #1 songs the hits just kept coming. My wife and I had a fantastic time. As soon as I got my Ticketmaster tickets for the Ronnie Milsap concert in Salina, Kansas on January 21, 2010 at the Stiefel Theatre I knew I was in for the event of my life! Growing up Ronnie Milsap was one of my favorite musical icons that I always looked up too. Whenever I was down the cassette tape would always come out. Anyway, Friday nite was truly "Magical"....You could almost sense it in the air. Anyway, minutes before the concert the place filled up fast. People were excited and the acoustics of the room begin to warm up the hearts of many. Ronnie came out, with the help of one of the members of the band, and before long....his music again as always touched our hearts. I was really moved by his desire to reach each and everyone of us through his music. From time to time however, he would throw us a few good laughs that most of us will remember for a lifetime. I think my favorite part of the whole night was when he brought out his faith to tell us about how he has made it through the rough times with the help of God. After that, he played one of his favorite tunes off of his new Gospel Album. Anyway, I was really excited to get to finally see the man, the legend, and the mentor who has captivated us all throughout 4 decades with his wonderful inspiring music. Ronnie played for at least two hours, and countless songs that most of us sang the whole nite through!!!! Thanks Ronnie!!! You're simply the best!!!!

Ronnie and his band came out on time and did just about ALL of Ronnie's 40 number 1 hits from over the years. Ronnie sounded every bit as good as when I first saw him 25 years ago. Ronnie still has that smooth voice that help make his songs sound so wonderful. The band behind him was very tight and extremely entertaining. I knew every single song they played from Ronnie's extensive string of hits that earned Mr.Milsap no less than 6 Grammy Awards. If you love this music, and I don't know how you couldn't, this was a fantastic show. Ronnie Milsap songs are so well crafted that they'll be played for 100 years to come. Don't miss a chance to see Ronnie. Ronnie was even kind enough to go to his merchandise table after the show to autograph items and meet his fans. God Bless Ronnie Milsap.

It was an older crowd (myself included) that was seated in the reserved seating at Billy Bob's last night. My only complaint about the evening was that it had been so long since the last concert I attended at Billy Bob's, I'd forgotten how close the tables/chairs are to one another in the reserved seating section. Ronnie came on stage & put on a great show. He may be a bit older than when I began to love listening to him in the '70's, but he's still got a great voice. The four part harmony of Ronnie & the band members' "do-wap" songs a capella was very, very good.

Ronnie Milsap is getting old. He couldn't hit the notes he use to when he was a great vocalist. He didn't even try. But he's still a legend. He sang almost all of his #1 hits. He also told a couple of good stories. We really enjoyed the 1 1/2 show.

Ronnie Mislap was great!! Didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did but he played wonderfully and it was like being in the good old days of the 70's!

I have never seen Ronnie before and I do like his music. To me, he was a little off from some of his songs and the beat was a little slow. Despite not sounding exactly like your albums, Your still the man Ronnie.

Venue itself was adequate. But not very comfortable seating. Ronnie Milsap was great for being 75. He was worth seeing, i think he got tired and cut off after 1.25 hours. I was sad he didn't sing 'Daydreams about night things', but i am glad we went. You can never go wrong going to a real country music concert. Even a 75 year old real country music star will be better than the new hip hop country guys!!!

Ronnie Milsap gave a wonderful performance. Loved how he sang a medley of songs so he could fit as many of his hits into the time frame of the show. Many people were singing along and just a good, overall experience. His band is GREAT!

It was so thrliling and gave me chills when everyone rose up and sang along with him to AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Then they remained standing and danced to HONKY- TONK WOMEN! I LOVE RONNIE MILSAP!!!!

I know he's getting older. I guess I was expecting to hear the young Ronnie Milsap . He was just a little slower than the music on a few songs. I really was excited to see him, but a little disappointed in the show.

Ronnie can not sing any longer. He would stop singing at points like he forgot the words. It was hard to watch a great entertainer at this point in his life, not putting on a good show. He had to have two people walk him in, because he could barely stand.

It was awesome to see this country legend. I loved hearing the songs that made him famous. It was like stepping back in time. His band was fantastic. It was a super surprise to see Pops dance the freeze. That brought back memories.

I read many of the reviews before buying my tickets so I went in with kind of low expectations. I have always wanted to see Ronnie Milsap since I was a kid so I was going to go no matter what. If you go expecting him to sound like he did on records 30 years ago, you will not be happy. Due to his age or just the fact that he has been singing for so long, he can't hit all the notes he used to. It was kind of sad. He started off slow and got a liitle better and then lost it again. That is probably why the concert was only an hour and 10 minutes. He sang medleys of many of his songs and maybe 5 or 6 full songs. If you are a true fan, you will be thankful you got to see him anyway. If you are not, you may not be pleased with the show.

This was my first experience to this location. It was wonderful. I love the theater, it was small enough to have a good view of the stage. I took my daughter for her birthday and we had a wonderful time. All personnel were very pleasant. Ronnie Milsap was fabulous. Can't wait to go again.

My biggest attraction to his music is the sound of his voice, strong and very attractive to my ear. This favored musician is no longer able to hold a tune, let alone being able to project the sound of his voice! I was so surprised that I was going to be able to sit in his audience, once again that I purchased the tickets ASAP!. From the very beginning, when he was lead out to his piano seat, I noted something was not right. Quite frankly, there was no favorite moment. After about 4 songs into the concert, Leaned over to my wife and said 'we can go home, now if you would like to'. I was embarrassed. Embarrassed to have been there, embarrassed in that I wanted my wife to hear him for the very first time, embarrassed for Mr. Milsap, and upset that his stage performers to be assisting in this charade. When he was escorted to the 'high' chair to sing a couple of songs toward the end of his concert, it was than that I realized he is feeble!

Ronnie Millsap still has a voice but no energy. He is still sweet at heart but can't deliver. Sorry but Ronnie should not do concerts. Love him still but wouldn't see him again.

I look forward to seeing the Legends perform the music of my youth, so when I saw Ronnie Milsap was coming to the Hard Rock I jumped on the presale to get good seats. Milsap was just flat out poor. Singing his own songs, he could not carry a tune. This was like bad karaoke. I was embarrassed for him. He only played for 1:15 and managed to play most if not all of his 40 number 1 his, which he reminded us of constantly thru the show. Many of the songs were put together in medleys. His band was very good but somewhat disinterested. Time to say goodbye Ronnie.

Ronnie Milsap was great, he still sounds great after all these years. He played all the songs you would expect to hear at his show. Some were played together so you didn't get to hear the entire song but was still worth the money.

saw ronnie milsap several years ago, thought he was done then. when i found out he was touring, jumped on it. he's still got it. carries his high notes long loud and strong. music sounded great. show a little short. seemed like he had a harder time telling stories between songs than he did singing. you could definitely tell he felt grateful and blessed just to be there. go ronnie!!!
