The Caribbean Connection enchanted the audience during the evening show at the BERKS Jazz Festival 2018! I attended the afternoon show which was amazing. Somehow this terrific Trifecta of Smooth Jazz Giants gave me a fresh anointing of improvisation, sound, nuances and an engaging jazz event which captured this Jazz Afficionado s heart and soul in a fresh, new, exciting way! Elan Trotman, Bernie Williams, and Nestor Torres with Elan Trotman s unforgettable band were outstanding and had the audience mesmerized, captivated, and on our feet by the culmination of a Signature event which MUST become an Annual Hallmark of the BERKS Jazz Festival!

The Caribbean Connection delivered the cure for my weekday blues\u2014amazing Jazz with a Caribbean flare! This was the indoctrination of a must-repeat annual event for the BERKS Jazz Festival. The trio of Headliners was the ideal trifecta. The Electrifying Charismatic Showman, Elan Trotman who delivered the perfect blend of original compositions, great sound, engaging showmanship, and super finesse and style. The Underground Bass Beast, Bernie Williams whose quiet, unassuming presence is overshadowed by his beautiful ballads and funky uptempo numbers. The Flautist Extraordinaire, Nestor Torres whose flute mesmerized his audience to follow this Jazz Piper the entire show. These unforgettable leaders combined with Elan Trotman s sensational band which blended a Drummer, Guitarist, Keyboardist, and Steel Pan Player who transported the audience to the Caribbean shores with the perfect blend of Jazz!

Bernie Williams, Elan Trotman, Nestor Torres, and Kareem Washington all on the same stage! Wow, what an event. Don't think my foot stopped tapping for hours afterwards!

Bernie Williams has proven that he is as talented a musician as he is an athlete. The show was great! The Bardavon is a great place to see acoustic guitar and Bernie was just amazing. He interacted with his fans and the show was even better than I was anticipating. I will definitely see him again!

Bernie Williams is an excellent guitar player and composer. Many of the songs done in the show were from his albums. His music has latin undertones with a huge amount of jazz written in. He also did a fair amount of rock and roll style music. The band that played with him was unbelievably great.Richie Cannata (sax) played with Billy Joel and The Beach Boys, Joel Roesnblatt (drums) played with Spiro Gyro (one of my favs). Cheoli Minucci is just too good of a guitar player. The rest of the group is just as impressive. I would see him again and again.

Was stunned after a show he performed with his band in Suffern, NY. Not having much familiarity with his music entering the venue, my expectations were not high. This lack of familiarity quickly dissipated as each song was played through the evening. His music skills (I feared were a bit exaggerated) were displayed in his body of work, as he demonstrated a talent which was given by God. The range in his work is spectacular, as each song develops a different mood, a different pace, and unique space. Although his talent may be something intrinsic, his hard work and philosophy involving his craft seeps into the music in a magical way that connects. We look forward to his new material and his upcoming show in Poughkeepsie.

This ensemble of seasoned pros, playing together for the first time, put on a great show. They were engaging, entertaining, gracious, and most of all, superbly musical.

Wonderful.. all three were great..Bernie love him.. Elan always great.. Nestor ..first time seeing him..a nice add to my favorites....enjoyed and would not hesitate to see each one again..Best wishes to these men..

Berk s should host a Latin Jazz and Caribbean theme of music every year. The show was fantastic and included Bernie Williams whose performance rocked the show.

Loved it, loved it, loved it! Bernie and his band were fantastic, I can't wait to see them again!

Everyone enjoyed the show, plenty of Yankee fans to cheer him on, great band too

So I wasn't a fan of Bernie's music before the concert to be honest. I went because I'm a huge yankee fan and have always wanted to meet him. During the concert I became a fan of his music, honestly he is amazing. This is where the compliments end. We bought better seats with the meet and great included after the show. When the show ended we were told he would be right back out but would not sign anything sports related and if you wanted an autograph you had to buy a cd or shirt in the lobby, HE WOULDNT EVEN SIGN THE TICKET STUBS FROM THE SHOW. Oh and no pictures either, so really whats the point of the extra 50 a ticket for the meet and great. They say he wants people to come for the music not the fact that he played for the Yankees but what about the people that had never heard his music came as a Yankee fan and became a fan of his music. Dosnt make sense because I became a fan of his music during the show even though that's not what brought me there. But I left a non Bernie Williams fan by the way the whole thing was handled. He is apparently greedy and dosnt feel like he made enough of our hard earned money playing for the Yankees. Wouldn't sign ticket stubs to his own concert seams ridiculous. Never again, still a Yankee fan but I'll stick with Jeter and Mariano the real stand up guys who get the fans make them who they are.

A talented group of musicians surround Bernie Williams, who plays a mean guitar. The set list is a perfect mix of styles & tempo. Bernie & his band do what only great musicians do- show you a piece of themselves- their personality, their thoughts & their emotions. This show reveals not only a thoughtful man but a very generous, kind, loving spirit.

Was an amazing time. Landmark was beautiful as always.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening. The opening band was excellent followed by a strong, tight performance by Bernie and his All Stars. I hate to admit it but I would pay double to see them again.

Show was great! Such a personable, classy man, who can REALLY play jazz guitar. His band, led by musical director Richie Cannatta, was outstanding!

My sister & I treated our husbands, 2 sons and Mom & Dad to this show...it was wonderful! To see Todd Hobin and Edgar Pagan perform with the opening act, and then to be joined by Bernie for a number...fantastic! Not sure if the younger generation is even familiar with who Todd Hobin is,, but for us 40-somethings he brought back lots of memories! My only real complaints have nothing to do with the musicians or the show, but the audience...it's funny the first time when "the drunk obnoxious guy" starts chanting "Bernie Williams (clap clap clap-clap-clap)" but after that it's just plain annoying...and the others who felt like yelling out at every opportune moment - UGH. My 19-year-old son looked at me and said, "MUST they sell alcohol?" Also, I was pretty shocked that there were so many empty seats...but I also didn't see very much advertising for the show and only knew about it because I follow the Landmark on Facebook. Anyway, we loved Bernie as a Yankee and we're so impressed with the band he's put together, and with his talent...and always humble about it as well. A class act.

Great music to relax the emotions. It created quite an environment. It was a great type of music that can relax everything.

This was such a special blend of two worlds, satisfying the interests of both divinely! The young and the once young were equally engaged. It was so well balanced the music and the love of sports. Only wished we could have heard more of Bernie Williams music. Highly recommend it.

This was an excellent show.The dialogue was just as great as the music.Some interesting things about amongst atheletes,football players are not into jazz like baseball and basketball players.I wish that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar could have stayed till the end.I had three of his books that I wanted him to sign.The Bernie Williams-Christian McBride trio collaboration was great.It was cool to have the show start off with kids playing sports on the stage.

Perfect blend of talk and music! LOVED IT! We had both younger and older generations and we all we very engaged with the program!

Bought Bernie's cd, loved it, then got to see him perform those tunes!

Bernie Williams and the band are actually really good! The guy that plays the sax, Ritchie, is really amazing! Great show. The venue is nice too, recently renovated and modern. Only complaint is that it was a little too loud. Since the place is not that big, it did not need to be so loud.

This concert was truly amazing. Although I was familiar with Bernie Williams' music from his CDs his live performance was even greater. Bernie is an accomplished guitarist and he performed a diverse mixture of music. The band members who accompanied him were phenomenal and included Richie Cannata as both the music director and performer, his son Eren Cannata whose vocals on the band's rendition of Imagine was fantastic ,guitarist Julio Fernandez and bass player Gene Perez as well as exceptional keyboardist,drummer and bongo players. Not only was the music excellent but the enthusiasm of all of the musicians was obvious and this only added to how great this concert was.

Great venue, excellent performance combined for a very enjoyable evening.

I really enjoyed this concert, however I was sad to see that the audience was so small. The concert was a gift for my mother's birthday and she loved the show too.

Bernie Williams is an unassuming personality, but his ability is out of this world. The concert was amazing on all levels. His all-star band is phenomenal.

Great stuff came from long island well worth the trip. The man has class and someone who take time to help others.When listen the sound go's rite though you very talented .would go again in a minute .

what an outstanding performance! A mix of contemporary jazz, acoustic guitar, blues, Latin and some Rock n roll! What more can u ask for? Bernie proved to all that he is an accomplished guitarist, composer and entertainer. The band were all seasoned pros as well and were exciting to watch. Bernie held his own with some nice fretwork. Will definitely return for another show. And the CDs ain't bad either. In fact they are excellent.

Bernie has mastered another career! He is more talented than most people believe. This is the second time that I have seen him & his band perform. Both were exciting & had a beat that would keep you "moving" in your seat.

The sound was amazing and Bernie played the electric and acoustic guitar equally fantastic.the latan sounds were upbeat and easy to listen to.The rest of his band were also fantastic ,espicially the solo perfermance by the saxaphone player<he was phenominaL!!! The bardavon is an amazing theater and I was quite surprised how well the layout woked nicely with the sounds coming from on stage>well worth the money and for a good cause>i recommend the balcony seats .great view and easy on the wallet!

I was so amazed at the talent of Bernie and every member of his band. He is a gentleman and a terrific performer.
