The WNBA is improving exponentially each year. When you go to a Mystics game, everyone that's there, wants to be there, so the atmosphere is electric. It's not like other professional sports where you go just because you don't want to waste the ticket. The fans are really genuine. As for the team: Alana Beard is fantastic to watch and her supporting crew is getting better every game. Marissa Coleman, the rookie of the squad, was injured on the 20th, but is back on the scene and definitely one to watch. From what I've heard this is their best season/team ever, so if you've been on the sidelines, it's time to check in.

I thought the game was great. The team showed a lot of energy and heart in their come from behind win. The crowd was all into it. Alana Beard really showed her talent along with Marisa Coleman. I really enjoyed the enthusiasm of the coach and the team. I liked how they showed defense in keeping C. Holdslaw at bay! The Washington Mystics is a fun team to watch.

THE BEST WAY TO ENJOY ANY SPORTING EVENT IS TO WIN! We have to win inorder to leave the building with a smile. There are too many disappointments in life and to pay good money and then walk away with a loss just adds to lifes many disappointments. I know we can't win every game but the one I go to please win.......It makes such a big difference.

Thrilling from start to finish! The Atlanta Dream tried hard to dash the hopes of the hometown crowd, but the Mystics held on and gave us early signs of what they're about this season. With a true point guard at the helm in Lindsey Harding, the marquee players got to play their game and Ms. Beard put up huge numbers and entertained us all. Rookie standout and local fav, Marissa Coleman made her presense known and it was great to see the former UMD stars (Crystal Langhorne and Marissa) together again. A team to be proud of! No doubt!

I enjoyed the enthusiasm of the crowd. The Mystics played great defense for the first 2 quarters. Candance Parker is a great player, but she struggled mightily against the Mystics defense. The game was great. The Mystics jumped out to a good lead and held the lead throughout the first three quarters. In the fourth quarter, the Sparks came back to tie the game at 63-63. The Sparks must have ignited something in the Mystics because they got the lead back and never let it go! The Mystics extinguished the Sparks, 75-63.

From the beginning to the end the game was very exciting. the entertainment during half and in between times was funny and entertaining. The Mystics came out ready to win. They scored first and went from there. The LA Sparks did provide some tension. At one point the game was tied up but the Sparks never got in front. This was my first Mystics game and I was very impressed. I would do it again and again.

Overall the game was pretty good. Even when the Sparks made a run by overcoming a 20 point deficit and at one point tied it at 63, the Mystics had an answer for it. In the end, the Mystic scored the last 12 points in which I was very impress with their win..

I went to the game and arrived 4 minutes late as I was coming from Baltimore, MD. I ordered my tickets online and I was unable to download the tickets once I got into the Verizon Center. They tried to find the tickets on my card and they weren't there either. The guy helping was rude and was unable to help me and I was sent to another window as everyone who planned to use their phone had the same problem. I understand thst it was a preseason game but all of the food was sitting there cold and uncovered waiting for people to purchase. I spent 40 dollars on food. That's more on the verizon center. I feel that the WNBA crowd is not respected as all other teams maybe because it was a preseason, but if they are not going to open all stands then they can at least make sure the food is good.

22 July 2016, was my daughter's and a friends 1st WNBA experience and they had a blast. Ticket prices were extremely affordable, and our seats were my best for any concert, sporting event that I can remember. We received a Mystics shirt from the hype team on the floor, experienced the free Chic-fila giveaway, due to an opposing player missing 2 consecutive FTs in the 4th qtr, and my daughter and her friend received two WNBA basketballs from a generous marketer! And oh yeah, I got to see Candace Parker and Co. Amazing!!!!!! I really love the WNBA and what those ladies stand for especially during these times we are living in! #Watchmework

The Mystics lost this one but they played very well. This was my first WNBA game and I was not disappointed. My eight year old son also enjoyed the game. To manufacture excitement, the Verizon Center resorted to what amounted to desperate tactics. The noise inside the arena was deafening. The decibel level coming from the overly loud speakers was headache inducing. To make matters worse, the school children that comprised well over 80% of attendance were encouraged to scream and make noise. Days later and I still don't understand why all that noise was necessary. It added no value to the basketball game.

The Mystics put on a 3 point shooting display that was beautiful for a fan of good shooting. They were tenacious and got the win over a good team. The event staff however at the end of the game rudely forced us out of the area in the middle of our family reminiscing about the game. I felt very unwelcome and will probably just enjoy the game with family at home where I won't be rushed to leave after they take my money. Thanks event staff for cheapening the experience!!!!!

Great Game ! Mystics controlled the game till late in the fourth quarter. Mystical in the way they played for the most part > Tulsa shocking how they ended up losing. Wish Bria Hartley could have played. The team looks young and competitive. Just the right mix of veteran savvy. It's early they'll be fine. Good crowd, good interactive fan participation throughout. My quest enjoyed the experience ( their 1st ever ) . And as usual SO DID I. p.s. meeting Skylar Diggins up close didn't hurt either Forever a Loyal Mystic Fan ( Go Mystics > Go Bria H and Stephanie Dolson especially )

I don't like sports, and I've never been to a basketball game. My mother has never been to a basketball game. I haven't seen my moms since about 2002. She's currently staying with me for a while, and I figured it was something nice to do together. The seat prices were really good for where we got to sit. And the event turned out to be a really fun time with my moms. She really took a lot from the time there, getting into the whole spirit of the game. Rooting for the Mystics and hissing at the Fever. She really enjoyed her time there, and that made the event all the more enjoyable to me. I made her a sign to display, and she showed up on the big screen waving it around. Only thing I don't like about the event is: Not being able to have a photo or video clip of my mother on the big screen. I've been looking for the game, to view it again, so we can share that moment as a spectator, and haven't found it.

This was my first Mystics game in over 10 years. It was awesome. I was very impressed with the speed of the game and how both teams played with a lot of intensity. The game was extremely physical. The crowd was very engaged and though there weren't as many people there as, say, for a Caps game, the atmosphere was great. The Mystics had a large lead which they lost in the fourth quarter, but hit an amazing 3-pointer to force OT. They trailed for a while in OT, but some great D and a key basket at the end gave them the win.

At first I was a little upset with TicketMaster about my seats. It turned out to be a lot of available seating in the section I wanted. However, I ended up sitting right behind the visitors bench (Detroit Shock), which is part of the reason why I was at the game. It was one of the greatest experiences ever. I was able to hear their conversations, take good pictures and I even got some of the players (Alexus Honrbuckle, Taj McWilliams, and Cheryl Ford) to pose for me! I was able to move to a better seat right on the baseline, thanks to the usher that was in my section. Although Detroit lost, it was still a great game and I had fun. I hope Cheryl Ford feels better, she took a tough fall on her already injured knee.

Attended the Mystics/Sparks game on July 11th. My daughter is 4 years-old and had a great time. We had great seats behind the rim (floor level), and fairly inexpensive ($70/ea). If you are a fan of sports, and the live-entertainment feel, this is an inexpensive and great way to get out of the house and have a good time! p.s. went to the Mystics/Mercury game on June 25th (1st WNBA game I've ever attended), and had the same great experience. The only reason I didn't give it 5-Stars is the game goes by REALLY quick with only 10-minute quarters.

Lots of fun activities during the down times, giveaways, and the game was riveting. Highly recommend for families, but saw lots of couples and groups of singles, too.

Great game between two good teams. Dallas was very physical and took advantage of the refs not calling many fouls especially early. Mystics fought back to take the lead, but Dallas reclaimed it and prevailed in a close one. The emcee and mascot kept the crowd energized.

I simply had a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I thought the food was over priced, but what the heck, that's life. My family enjoyed ourselves and are planning to visit again.

I was attending a convention at the nearby convention center. I had spontaneously decided to attend this Mystics game while in the area. So not only did I buy a ticket, I bought a front row ticket to support the team. Never before had I felt so unwelcome at a pro basketball game. The arena staff and the other front row fans seemed to know each other, with some even hugging. On the other hand, I felt like I was getting suspicious glares from some event staff, even though I had my ticket and went through the entrance security just like everyone else. The arena was over half empty, yet I still felt unwelcome. There was a moment where there was a dance performance on the court, and I stood up and walked two steps forward to take a picture. Immediately, an event staffer got in front of me and rudely told me to get back. All I did was take two steps forward to take a picture! I was nowhere close to the basketball players! This event staffer would give big smiles and be super nice to the players and the media people, but to me it was a different story. If they don't want unfamiliar fans sitting front row, then they shouldn't make those seats available for sale. A fan who pays for front row shouldn't be made to feel like such a fish out of water. With the arena over half empty, I'd think that they'd want to promote a more inclusionary environment to grow their fanbase. I will say that some of the families sitting in the more upper sections seemed to be having a good time. And also, when I left the game early, I was greeted by a very friendly event staffer at the front door asking me if I was sure I wanted to leave. I left early, and went back to the convention, which was a far more warm and inclusionary environment that made be feel better.

It was all I expected. Loved the game and the energy of it. Just the comfort of the seats was not my cup of tea.

Just want to be sure anyone who reads previous posts knows that I really was paying attention to the game . . . and, since Bria didn't score in that game, the CT connection must have been more like Dolson to Hartley to Dolson. :)

I've been a fan of the WNBA, starting with the NY Liberty, for over 15 years--since Rebecca Lobo played for the Libs. Since then, the quality of play has gotten better and better; and, since then, my wife and I moved to MD 3 years ago. So, we're now Mystics fans . . . and (kinda) Suns fans, and still (kinda) Liberty fans. We came here from CT and were and still are fans of the Huskies, especially women's basketball. So it's a treat to see Stephanie and Bria play . . . especially when they make their CT connection on the court, as they did a couple of times against San Antonio. Mainly, though, it's the quality of play and the amount of heart that goes into the play--makes it possible to be a fan of several teams because, really, you're there to see the women compete and, clearly, enjoy what they're doing.
