Excellent selection of Holiday music performed by the Orlando Philharmonic. Loved the snow coming down over the audience at the end! Had a great time...just wished it was a little longer!

The atmosphere, music, holiday decorations, and the audience were exceptional! This is a worthwile event -- nice variety, beautiful singing, and the orchestra was outstanding. We would definitely recommend this event and we will most certainly attend more events featured by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.

The music and singing was very professional and pretty, but the show itself was not worth what we paid to see it. Also, sitting in the second row was not a good thing...too close to the stage and not able to see everything. I recommend getting a seat that is at least row 5 and back.

I was a bit sceptical about Orlando Philarmonic, and them performing Beethoven's 9th. Good thing is they proved me wrong. Orchesta was on top of their game, and let me say it was a very very nice top. The wind section could defintly use some improve on their performance, at times they sound a bit weak in compare to others. Oboeist good, flute good, trumpets and horn a bit weak. The last compass of Finale, where trumpets are needed, they just weren't. The other sections and the choral were top quality. The soloists, well did a good job, not very good nor excellent. Baritone had problems with the first lines, and tenor kinda struggled too, but not as much as the baritone, whose range of voice was not appropiate. Mezzo Soprano was clear, and top notch, the best of all four. Soprano was good, but could have been better. Director was impecable. Acoutsic of Bob Carr, was very good. Overall very surprising performance, I was very happy as I hand't listened to the 9th live in about 6 years.

This performance of La Traviata was staged in a Dare To Be Different mode. The orchestra was centered on the main stage and the performers played on an extension with a minimal set, sometimes as little as a settee and a chair. Act II was bifurcated to provide only one intermission. You were nonetheless transported to Paris circa 1920 by strong voices and commitment to the material. Prima Doña Elizabeth Caballero drew you in from her first note and never let you go until Violetta succumbed. Her supporting cast, particularly Steven Powell as Giorgio, was sublime. The Bob Carr is a wretched venue that will not be missed when the Dr Phillips PAC opens in November; however, this evening was a hint of what might have been had they been smarter in their 1980's remodel. Advancing the stage by just four rows made a noticeable difference in the venue's usual acoustical problems. Even with an obnoxious woman one row back determined to provide two plus hours of mindless commentary, this was an extraordinary evening with a cast two cuts above the companies that usually come to play in Orlando.

This concert was such a treat, from the amazing trumpet virtuoso and vocalizations of Byron Stripling to the comedy he brought to the show all encased in a wonderful performance by the Philharmonic lead by Maestro Andrew Lane. Had you closed your eyes, you might have thought you were living in the Armstrong era.

The show was nothing short of fabulous . Right off the bat it made me want to go to New Orleans again. Bryan was FANTASTIC and one of the best entertainers to grace the Bob Carr, in my opinion. I smiled throughout the whole show. The orchestra combined with his Trumpet and his voice when he sang, just made me smile. I loved it .

Gave the evening @ the Orlando Philharmonic: Russian Romance to my Wife for Christmas. I am more of a Bluegrass guy and my Wife enjoys classical music. It was a truly wonderful evening and Sarina Zhang was amazing. The Philharmonic was really great and when combined with Sarina on both the cello and the piano the music was taken to another level. A wonderful experience !

Very dissapointing that Mrs. Voigt was not present. They told us she was sick. Firstly that gentleman on stage that she has been in Orlando. It did sound very much that she had left the town already. Then he said she called him at 1H13 pm to meet him in the hotel???? The performance of Prokofiev was great. Dvorak was really ok and they tried their best as well the Mozart. But the performance of Wagner was very weak....Karajan would have cried bitterly....

I took my 85-year old mother and my 80-year old aunt as a Valentine's Day surprise. They are both widows and for them, this was truly a trip down memory lane. The orchestra was fabulous with wonderfully arranged music and Michael Andrew's just made the afternoon all that more enjoyable. He was Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darrin, and a few of the other "favs" all rolled into one. From "Night & Day" to "My Funny Valentine" and then an incredible tribute to his dear friend and co-worker Marvin Hamlisch, all of his selections were magnificently performed, brought a smile to our faces and a few tears to our eyes!

I took my mother to the Holiday Concert. We both enjoyed it very much. The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra are always so good; add to that the amazing Holiday Singers; then top it off with the most entertaining maestro I have ever seen...Albert George Schram...it was a winner all around. We would have gone back to see the evening concert!! Also worth mentioning was the wonderful Bob Carr Center Staff. They took great care of my mother who has difficulty walking. We look forward to the next performance!

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra is beyond amazing. I could listen to them all day and then to add in two amazing Broadway stars just took the cake. Their voices along w/the orchestra were over the top and of course Alli and Nicole brought in a comedic factor also. I highly recommend this show.

As always the show was wonderful. Great to have Maestro Lane back ; love him. But as always my only problem is the acoustics ( I think that's it) . The girls voices are wonderful but so shrill in that auditorium that it almost hurts my ears. Otherwise I absolutely love the Phil..

If i had wanted to see a cheesy Billy Joel Cover band I would have gone to a cheesy lounge. What I wanted to hear was the wonderful Philharmonic play, that is not what happened. You could barely hear them over Michael Cavanaugh and his band. I ended up leaving early because i could not sit through him butchering Just The Way You Are or Piano Man. The highlight of the show was when Michael and his band retreated from stage, and the Philharmonic performed 2 of Billy Joel's classical pieces.

Joshua Bell was amazing. This was the best performance by any soloist on any instrument that we have ever heard. Tone, timing, emotion--all were perfect. The Orlando Philharmonic was at its best. Their support of Joshua Bell was perfect and their presentation of Sebeilius was superb. The Peabody was a great venue and provided a sense of intimacy with the performers.

i was very disapointed that josuah bell left after only playing half hour. i didn't realize he was leaving at the intermission and i dont think it was billed as that. if is was i definately would not have gone or recommended it. i saw him in daytona beach about 6 years ago and he played the full time and was great. he was great here but half an hour for a 90 plus min concert is not what i was paying for . i understand he has a busy schedule but they should explain that at some point before the concert and definately before you return from intermission

What an excellent EXCELLENT! concert! The tribute to Jonathan May was such an appropriate and classy way to honor such a fine man who contributed so much to music -- and the community. From start to finish the concert was AMAZING. Joshua Bell. Wow! What a talent. The tickets were VERY expensive but worth every penny. The Orlando audience was polite. I heard that Bell's concert in Daytona suffered a rude audience. Thank you Joshua Bell, OPO, Maureen May et all ... wonderful concert. Wonderful evening. Wonderful memories.

Two concerts in one - very different perspectives from orchestral arrangements in the first half to a 'tribute band' in the second. Choice of music was unusual, some lesser known McCartney music in the first period alongside variations of more well-known songs made an interesting contrast. Sound quality for the tribute band in the second half was not good to begin with - took some time to adjust but improved by the fifth or sixth number. Some good moments but probably, for us, too little of what we were looking forward to in either half.

It was a bit disappointing for me to see Orlando Philharmonic with just musicals. I expected some classical music pieces, but there was none. Though school children sang and danced well, it seemed a school-gathering event and not a professional performance (not because of their age, but due to poor choreography). I only watched half of it and I left after the intermission.

First half was excellent - orchestra, soloist Mr Randolph Locke and the Humdingers - all of very high quality. Second half not quite so good, probably because of the more 'Vegas show' style than anything else - but orchestra still tremendous! Maestro Schram superb, no other word could describe better. Enjoyable evening overall - would have loved to have heard the Humdingers and Randolph Locke singing some of the Dean Martin favourites - but it was not to be.

This was my first orchestral event I attended ever! I was with my fiance and my mother. Thank you for making our evening out together a memorable one! Not only was the service A+, But I was also impressed by the service. Everything from the valet parking across the street, to the gentleman who offered us a free ticket because his date did not show up, to the greeters. From the ushers to the orchestra. From the barbershop quartet to the tenor soloist. From that zany conductor to Deana Martin and meeting her and having her autograph and her picture! It truly livened my appreciation for music. It shows that Orlando definitely needs a new Opera HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
