Todd, Kasem, and Willie united again with the help of an Israeli keyboardist brought back memories of their musical versatility and prowess. Starting with their more progressive rock like "Communion With The Sun" and "Ra"...they started heavy and Todd got to show off his guitar god skills...(still, don't understand why he isn't included in Rolling Stone's top 100 greatest guitar players), and then moved in the second half toward some of their more poppy, and possibly more memorable sing-alongy songs like "Love Is The Answer"and, of course, Todd's anthem "Just One Victory" for the encore. It was an excellent show for those of a certain age. Todd at 70 has certainly not slowed down. And, the musicianship of his fellow Utopians was AMAZING! If you can see them, don't hesitate! Go!

Willie Wilcox still Drums and Looks Like Willie Wilcox. Fantastic - Starts with UTOPIA THEME and Goes and Goes. Audience member exclaimed to me after their second song: "That's just four people up there!" Indeed --- but it was the right four people.

I started seeing Utopia back in 78 around the Oops the Wrong Planet tour and saw them a few times in a short period of time. They were always great shows. So I had high expectations. Well, they delivered. Two full sets of rocking Utopia. I know a few in the audience were expecting Todd Rundgren classics, but I knew that was not in the cards...this was Utopia after all. From the opening with Utopia Theme, these guys delivered classic Utopia songs till the encore with Just One Victory. My eyes even watered on that one. They covered their whole history, though nothing was played off of Deface the Music which is a gem of a record. I would have loved a sampling from that. Kasim s singing was outstanding. Really loved Seing to the right. After 35 years, they still have it. Play more.
Put a true icon of the music industry in a comfortable venue with great sight lines and exceptional sound, and you will have an unforgettable evening. Todd Rundgren, opening with Love in Action immediately served notice that he was spot on. Rolling through the decades of his musical library, he touched on all phases of that history. Introducing to most of the audience his latest effort, Arena, the band rolled through several songs from that 2008 release. These new songs harkening back to the heady days of Utopia. Together with Kasim Sultan, the evening went all too fast, even though the show was close to 150 minutes. Todd was up to fun and games with the audience with banter filling between songs. It was a must see, and if any indication, the entire tour is a don't miss,,,,

The venue was great...the seating, the sound, the set-up...all good. Todd kept promising us the songs he "knew we came there to hear," but by the end of the encore, we had given up. It was his repeated promise that seemed obviously passive-aggressive-like he was dangling a carrot in front of everyone. The rest of the music he played wasn't that great, so the wait was definitely not worth it. I was also disappointed to find that I was one of the very few people who actually paid to get in!!

This was one of the worst shows I have ever seen. He only played one song from his folk rock period-I Saw The Light. Refused to play Hello It's Me. The set was one heavy metal song after the next. Most the crowd left before the show was over. Todd shoots himself in the foot by refusing to play the songs that he is most famous for.

Todd was relaxed, loose, and having fun. The band was tight. How can a band sound bad with Prairie Prince behind them? Todd's rapport with the house is natural, like you're kicking it in his living room. The setlist held some real gems, though I continue to hope he'll revisit Marriage of Heaven & Hell while pulling from Oops...Wrong Planet. Arena rocks, and it's great to hear Todd bringing the juice. My only complaint was the FOH mix. The system seemed over-built enough for the room to afford a solid and clean mix, but the bottom just wasn't right. The band would've displyed much more power and energy with a little boom in the room. Assuming Todd travels with his own FOH engineer, I blame the FOH system or house limits, as Todd had a much more effective mix in previous visits to The Grove of Anaheim and The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano. Bottom line...we'll continue to attend Todd's shows whenever we can, as he always rewards.

And by "Rocks" we really mean it. The guy is phenomenal. Two days before his 64th. Amazing! He did play a few of his classics, but for those who think it's just an oldies show, you'll be disappointed. I can see how some in the audience were disappointed that he didn't play more of the old stuff. But Todd is a full-bodied musician, his music reflecting a variety of different genres. He played many songs off their most recent album. So, if you're going to go I would recommend listening to the most recent record, see if that floats your boat. I must say though that hearing it live was SO MUCH better. The recording simply can't capture his voice, humor and wit.

This was my first time seeing Todd live. My husband has been listening to his music for the last 30-40 years. Although I remember his older songs, I absolutely fell in love with Arena and Liars. The Nokia Theatre was fantastic as we had great seats and were really close. Todd and the other musicians put on a fantastic show. I loved it, loved it, loved it!!! It was obvious to me that he cares about his fans.

Been a fan since A Capella. Love the reinvention of the history of his music found in the new album, ARENA, so I thought the concert KILLED!!! He always finds great players and Todd's voice is as strong if not better than I can remember. His fan base is definitely an odd mix. Fortunately, the drunk girls were toasted beyond repair by the time his set started and quietly slept through the whole thing. At least I appreciated it. Bottom Line, Todd's still got it and then some.

Todd Rundgren and his band had great energy and stage presence however, it was much too loud and ear piercing for a venue the size of the Tralf. You would think the sound man would have adjusted accordingly after a few songs but, he didn't. This took much away from what was an otherwise good performance. Todd said it was the third to last perfomance on this tour and it was apparent with his vocals.

We have been fans of Todd's since the 70s and have seen a number of his performances. His band is solid (with pal Kasim Sultan) and Todd still rocks as always. His virtuoso guitar and great songs still are meaningful and fit with contemporary sounds quite well. His voice is aging (mine too) and it is amazing how he still sings and somewhat has to yell his tunes. Still unmistakeably Todd though. His music is metal loud and could maybe be more balanced, but mezmerizing when it all fits together. Great sense of humor and political savy was enjoyed between songs.

I've seen TR - solo and with different line-ups - many times, and he never fails to leave you wanting more! The current line-up is very polished! A great mix of old and new - should satisfy all fan levels. Arena is a great new album and the concert showed the energy that Todd continues to lavish on the crowds! I can't wait for the next show! The Tralf in Buffalo is a great place for this artist (and ensemble) - although the loss of tables on the main floor (to allow for extra ticket sale, we heard) was very disappointing to those fans who stood in line for hours to get the best seats - only to have your view blocked by the growing crowd in the front of the stage.

If you want to hear "Hello it's me" or "Love is the answer" This is not the show for you. This show was closer to AC/DC then it was Utopia. Todd's voice is still unbelievable when he wasn't screaming. He let off on the gas pedal for maybe 3-4 songs which were my fav but the rockers were good too. Utopia at The Masonic was an excellent show. The Masonic is an excellent venue with comfortable seating, good views, and a clear sound system. There are several places to get food and it is good including meat and vegetarian items. There are full bars on both the main floor and balcony with plenty of servers. Utopia opened with a prog rock onslaught that was killer. They then continued through songs from the Utopia catalog. The band took a set break at about 1:20 for 20 minutes. The stagehands reset the stage and Utopia came back for about a 40-minute second set and encore.

I lucked out on a last minute front row seat. The show was good, vocals were on--for the most part--and the instrumentals were excellent. I was a bit disappointed on the playlist, but that was my fault, not realizing the show was album-specific. Although I had a mostly great view, the stage speakers were deafening and blocked most of Todd except when he stepped from behind them. Another lesson learned: front row does not equal best seats. Overall, though, I enjoyed the show and look forward to seeing him again, should I be so lucky.

This concert by Todd Rundgren and Utopia was all that I expected and more. The band with Todd on guitar, long time members Kasim Sultan on bass and Willie Wilcox on drums along with an excellent new keyboard player, Gil Assayas burned from the first note. They started out with the song "Utopia" from the first album (I think 1974 or 5) and did lots of songs from various Utopia albums, a few Todd songs, one beautiful song from Kasim I hadn't heard previously or at least did not recognize. They certainly did not disappoint. And along with a superior backdrop light show this was as satisfying a concert as I have been to since the last time I saw Todd - less than a year ago. I highly recommend Todd Rundgren's Utopia in concert.

Absolutely historical concert - first of all, just seeing Rundgren, one of our musical geniuses, live was a great treat for anyone. But to have him and his band mates play over 2 1/2 hours of music from the Utopia albums was to savor each minute. The most special part for me was the progressive rock/jazz-rock tracks from the early Utopia which took up roughly the first 40 minutes of the concert, almost all of them instrumentals. The later Utopia got a lot poppier, with shorter, catchier, tunes. Nonetheless, the playing was superb - Rundgren excelled on guitar, I had no idea how well he could play it. The band was so tight - Kasim Sulton has been the bassist since 1976, but he also sang a few numbers (he has a great voice, honed in from earlier years as vocalist in Cherry Vanilla, a lesser band); John Wilcox was amazing, and has hit the drums in Utopia since 1975 - those two in particular secured a very together rhythm section. The audience went wild. I have been attending every progressive rock band that has played Chicago in the past year, and noticed all the usual prog rock turnout at this concert, so it felt like home! Seeing Utopia (for the first time, but 40 years later) was a gig we'll never forget!

Great concert - Todd and Utopia came out for a 15 minute instrumental and then played for over an hour, took a 15 minute break and came back for another hour. You have to be a Utopia fan to get this concert! Todd was in fine form, great voice, wonderful guitar. Kazim sang several tunes and really enjoyed the crowd - he stayed after the curtain call to shake all fans hands who were at the stage. Good venue - comfortable seats, good crowd control - no one stepping in the aisles or rushing the stage to get in your viewing way.

Todd Rundgren s Utopia played a stellar nearly three hour show, never missing a beat as they took us on a journey from 1974 through the 80 s, 90 s and beyond. Great production values added to the musical showcase with nods to opulent tours of the past. The only scar on the event was the Hard Rock venue which featured deplorable acoustics and Nazi like security that after all but strip searching their guests upon arrival, refused to let anyone dance or attempt to enjoy themselves. Thankfully Utopia prevailed over these hurdles and delivered a memorable evening, and the tour will be documented at the beautiful Chicago Theater. You owe it to yourself to see this show, hopefully at a similar theater. Let s hope this lineup provides future new music and brilliant tours the market could use similar value for your entertainment $$$

Until last week, The last time I saw Utopia it was 1983 in Columbus Ohio. 35 years later, I was front row centre at Massey Hall in Toronto for their reunion tour. Wow, what a show. The show is divided into two long sets with an intermission. The first set starts out with Utopia Theme and works its way through all the 70s albums, finally ended with Last of the New Wave Riders from The Road to Utopia. I really enjoyed all the guitar oriented work in this set. The second set contains mostly 80s rock from the Road to Utopia onward...and of course ending With a crowd pleasing Just One Victory. The crowd was mostly 50+ like myself but there were some youngsters there. Parents had brought kids and maybe grandkids. The crowd was pretty tame but appreciative. I couldn t hold back any longer during Princess of the Universe and had to get up (and get down) to this great Willie Wilcox song. Many joined me, especially when Todd broke into Light of the World. I m not sure if this tour is a one-off, but I hope not. It was great feeling 22 again. Thanks guys! Maybe Roger Powell will join them next time.

Of course his playing was on- it s Todd. His voice became more throughout the night. There was a story being unfolded before us. He has come to a deeper place and was taking everyone in the room with him! All could feel the love. Yes, each felt it there own way. But, Todd held an intention that everyone walk away with an awareness or consciousness. Loved the concert. Loved the band. Love Todd. Thank you to ALL who brought him here. As a veteran of dozens of Todd shows, I am never sure what to expect in terms of preparation. But it was clear that his fellow Utopians had made Our Hero rehearse. The band was tight, sound was full and rich, they were engaged throughout. In short, a classic Todd/Utopia performance that ranks among the best I've seen. The crowd, however, was sadly inert up until the very end of the show. Not sure if this is due to the venue or the age of the audience, but they didn't give much back to a band that was working full-tilt.

Although the volume level at the Taft Theater in Cincy was a bit to loud the mix was good. The first half of the evening Utopia covered it's prog roots. That for me the least favorite part of the show. So many great post prog Utopia songs they could have done without mixing in an ELO cover and a show tune. The second half was pure gold. They took us down that road to Utopia one more time and the ride was amazing.

Having been a Tr/Utopia fan since the mid 70s, I was totally thrilled to hear songs from the first Utopia album to the more obscure songs from the latter albums. The visuals and sound were top notch and perfect for each song. The new keyboard player, Gil did a fantastic job with the synth and keys and fits well into the mix. I spent the entire first half of the show (the prog Rick portion) with chill bumps, and the second half smiling at my grown children singing and dancing to the music they grew up hearing. It was a magical night to be sure! So happy I have tix for Cleveland!

This will hardly be an objective review, given that I first saw Utopia in 1980 and have seen TR (both with/without Kasim) many times since. I was thrilled when I learned Utopia was touring, then a bit concerned when some of the videos from early tour stops showed TR "a bit" rusty on some of his guitar licks, certainly understandable given the 25 plus years since Utopia last toured. Adding keyboardist Gil Assayas to the mix was yet another unknown. Fortunately, Utopia's show Wed May 9th at the magnificent Peabody Opera House was stellar in every respect. The band was incredibly tight and obviously enjoying themselves. The material held up well, despite some songs being 40+ years old. Even songs I thought would be "throw aways" like Set Me Free and Rock Love were acquitted in fine fashion. It was great to see TR enthusiastically laying down guitar licks, given that some of his new solo material didn't include many. Utopia has been hailed as an innovative, creative group, seamlessly transitioning from progressive rock to new wave, then power pop, and the biggest take away from their show to me was just how well their material has held up over the decades. "Trapped" and "Swing to the Right" even seemed oddly prophetic, given current events! Thanks to TR, Kasim, Willie, and Gil for bringing a lot of joy back into their fans' lives, mine included. I even read rumors of PERHAPS a new album, but I'll gladly settle for this show for now.....it was all I hoped for, and more.

Thankfully the venue -- and probably the band -- have had a little work done between then and now. First and foremost, let me give TR a shoutout. He gave the performance all he had, despite being quite ill, never mind on the brink of turning 70(!). When he fully recovers from whatever bug was his kicking his butt Wednesday, I can't help but think the rest of these shows will be 5-star stuff. However, at those future dates, I sincerely hope the other venues figure out a way for the sound to be MUCH better. From an audio quality p.o.v., it was THE worst show at the Peabody I've ever caught. The audio mix was nails-on-the-chalkboard shrill, making the guitar/synth-solo-packed first set literally painful at times. As advertised/promoted, the show's first set was devoted to the prog era of the band, while set #2 very much focused on the era between Oops! and POV. Still, I can't help but feel the first set over-represented Utopia's early days -- even if it was to the delight of the Woodstock Nation majority in attendance. As one of the "kids" in the venue -- you know, the over-50 crowd -- it's safe to say we would've preferred the scales tipped the other way. But hey, we are the respect-your-elders-type of rebel rousers, so we managed to go with the Utopian flow without once screaming "Crystal Ball" or "Libertine." That demographic reality may also explain why there was no opening act, never mind why the band started performing even before Denny's stops serving Earlybird Specials. (In retrospect, such a gameplan was undoubtedly for the best, given that Mr. Rundgren was battling just to get through the evening.) While no two Utopia fans would e v e r agree on "the perfect setlist," I firmly believe the band did everything in their power to perform a little bit from every release. That said, for the life of me, I have no clue how "Monument" was part of the show, while "Crybaby" was not. #MindblowingBlunder Net-net: It was awesome to be On The Road To Utopia with this band one more time. With a better mix(!) and Todd soon back to 100%, Utopia's traveling thank-you card to their die-hard fans is not to be missed. Perhaps other venues will come through with some kind of opening act to allow future shows to have a significantly better flow... ONE FINAL NOTE: Absolutely have to give some big love to Gil Assayas, the talented young man on keyboards/synths. Hard to believe he had never heard of Utopia less than a year ago.

Todd Rundgren and Company were excellent ! Utopia is still an excellent band after all this time ! They played really well, executing tricky parts flawlessly . Todd's voice was a little burnt, he introduced himself as 'Kermit the Frog',nonetheless, he sounded fine I thought. They had some cool vids going on in back and a few in front . They did two sets and changed the stage setup from one to the other. I highly recommend seeing Utopia. Todd Rundgren is a very high quality cat- a rock legend in my opinion. Not too many people have written as many spectacular tunes as him.

1st half of show was mostly old Utopia instrumental tunes. Definitely show casing the bands talent. Great guitar work by Todd throughout show. Kasim sultan was equally great on base. Second half of show was epic. With favorites such as trapped, one world, love is the answer, rock love extra. Todd played and sang like he was 30. Voice was a little scratchy cause he played same show previous night

GREAT show! Awesome visuals with the full video screen behind. Band sounded very tight especially given the short time with new (and extremely talented!) keyboard player Gil Assayas. Song selection was outstanding although I wish the show was even longer than the generous 2:15 hours. Kasim Sultan really hasn't lost anything from that mighty voice and great to see Willie Wilcox on the drums after 30 years!. Such a pleasure to see one of my all time favorite bands of the 70's/80's. I can only hope this leads to more shows in the coming years.

Having seen this band many times in the 80's, I was beyond ecstatic to hear they were reforming and touring. The Tower Theater is a great venue for concerts , the Utopia was fantastic. i was excited to hear songs that had never been performed in previous concerts. The concert was divided into 2 parts, the first being the original Utopia music, a little funky and psychedelic. i loved it, but would say most of the people attending may not have felt the same. The second set was more of the popular, upbeat music, and it was like going back in the time machine 30 years. my favorite part of every Utopia concert was the encore, when they played Just One Victory, and they do it again now. If you think Todd is going to be performing some of his classics, he does not. But if you love the music of Utopia, the evening will be a real treat!

With the exception of one date in L.A. in 1992, Utopia have not toured in the US since 1985. In 2018 they did not miss a beat - - like they never stopped playing together... The show was awesome. The set was a perfect mix of the entire of the history of UTOPIA, the sound was great and the mood, unforgettable!!! Please swing around again UTOPIA!!!

I never thought I'd see it but there they were in all their glory, as on as ever, in fine voice and playing like it was yesterday, but with today's maturity and heft. Great show and special mention to Kassim Sultan, whose wonderful voice and talents were prominently displayed throughout the show and, for me, made the concert! Thank You Todd, Kassim, Willie and Ralph!

I think I saw Todd and company about 36 years ago in Phila. They still sound great. Todd's voice is still there as is Kasim's. They sounded great and played many tunes that brought back memories. Of the two sets, the second was the one I would think will resonate most for concertgoers. First set was more proggy. The show was a tad bit shmaltzy, but that's about my only criticism. Enjoy. PS - a couple bonuses - An ELO tune and one from West Side Story...imagine that!

It's been 34 years since I've seen the core of Todd Rundgren's outstanding quartet Utopia play together live. Tonight was a wonderful return to this great and underappreciated band. The playing was outstanding, the harmonies sharp as ever, and in particular it was good to hear Willie Wilcox playing drums behind Todd and Kaz again. And kudos to Gil Assayas filling in for Roger Powell/Ralph Shuckett -- perfect blend.

The Show is over and live goes on, but I have another great memory to look back on. This new tour is Todd Rundgren's Utopia and although the band has reformed with a new keyboard player, [Gil Assayas] the songs remain true. The show is split into two sets, the first focusing on the Pro Rock era of Utopia Mark I and the second on the 1980's/90's pop years of Mark II. I actually enjoyed the second half a little more, because those song where easier for the band to accomplish. Progressive rock is complicated and without the late Mark "Moogy" Klingman on synthesizer and Kevin Ellman on drums, it's just not the same. That said, it's still a great show to see for fans and newbies. So get out there, get your tickets and join us on the Road To Utopia".

First time ever seeing Todd either with or without Utopia. It was everything i hoped it would be. I really don't know how these guys (who are getting up there in age) put on a performance like that. It may not matter to the band but seriously why are they not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Even if you are not a huge fan if you enjoy a rock concert.... you will love it. Thinking of traveling to see the show again. Drove over 4 hours to see this one. Ran into the drummer Willie Willcox in hotel elevator. Down to earth regular nice guy. He even remembered my name when i bumped into him later in the lobby. Todd and Utopia really put it out there. Don't miss a legendary show.

Fantastic show and would definitely go again. His voice is still good, the light show , band, songs are all very good indeed!. The only bad thing is the sound quality and it may have been where my seats were in the balcony. A couple decibels lower may have corrected the problem. Todd does indeed reinvent himself annually, more than any artist in the history of music, last year he did a techno show full of new material just like my kids listen to, although I dislike that music, it was actually extremely well done. So last night, he comes out in a suit, performs several contemporary type techno songs with amazing energetic ease, exits the stage, returns in a sleeveless shirt, guitar on his hip, and proceeds to rock, just tearing up the guitar with an incredible set, exits the stage again, and while gone, plays a several minute video totally shredding and mocking Donald Trump in hilarious fashion...then returns in casual attire, plays more unfamiliar songs, likely off his new White Knight cd, exits, returns for encore of 70's crowd pleaser songs to pacify those who aren't dedicated followers or familiar with his dislike of playing his old stuff, very sarcasticly saying 'Hello it's me' into microphone before doing impressive renditions of crowd favs. The thing about Todd is, his show always consist mostly of songs you've never heard before, because he's always writing, he had an impressive full band, complete with backup female singers, and even Kasim Sulton from Utopia!

Todd Rundgren has a great show of all new material -- diverse and very revealing. It was great to see him in true form. He hasn't so much changed as moved forward. He's a musician's musician, a songwriter's songwriter. Certainly I was expecting a good coverage of older familiar material; that can wait for another time. I expect no less from Todd that he pushes his music, and me, forward. Great musicians. And I will say I can't imagine how he can remember the lyrics to his songs as I saw no prompter while he performed moving back and forth across the stage. Even rap, and well done. I would go back to see this show again. And for all the new music, I could understand the words to make this a perfectly enjoyable show. Thanks Todd, to you and your group. These are great performers! Note to locals: the Count Basie video police allow NO video recording, camera or phone. Regardless how discreet you try to be, once you start to record you will be asked to stop.

The St. George Theatre in Staten Island is my favourite venue. Not too big, great acoustics, affordable ticket prices, affordable refreshments and a landmarked, i.e. historic, building. Not surprisingly Todd Rundgren and his excellent band sounded great. Staten Island local Kasim Sulton on bass is just stellar. I love that he's been with Todd forever (I saw them live, as Utopia, in 1977). Prairie Prince (of The Tubes) on drums is excellent and what can be said of Greg Hawkes? The distinctive sound of The Cars owed much to Hawkes. On guitar Jesse Gress was typically formidable albeit mixed down. And yes, this lineup is essentially the New Cars, minus Elliot Easton. The show was terrific, absolutely terrific. Although I bought my first Todd album in 1972 this was no nostalgia tour, no oldies show. The choreography was very hip - two dancers who sang backing vocals, a large LED screen for both background images and two videos (which allowed costume changes for Todd and the two women dancers) and the band clad in suits with white shirts and red ties - an obvious Trump reference (Tin Foil Hat was one of the video clips). The mix was excellent, very modern, crisp and clear. The material was more recent stuff including several songs from White Knight and Todd never stopped dancing. The encore choices made me smile - it was great to hear Hello It's Me and Just One Victory. It was a bit like time travel - back to '77 - as Todd's voice is still very strong. I cannot recommend this tour too highly.

My Evening with Todd Rundgren was everything I had hoped for and so much more. My tickets were excellent and I felt like a teenager at 60. I have been a fan of and a performer of Todd's music for about 43 years now and I have to tell you, the performance on Jan.23rd was worth waiting a lifetime for. His vocal range, guitar licks, and stamina were remarkable for such a grueling tour schedule, and his band members and song choices were like old friends.

Great show at a crap venue. The Wilbur is the worst for front of stage. Little round tables with 4 seats jammed side by side. Could not stand without falling into the lap of the person next to you. Staff yelling at you if you turned your chairs and then no service for drinks...poor venue. This however has no bearing on the show. Todd, Prarrie, Kaz, Jessie, and John set us on a journey of his entire career with incredible musicianship and blazing guitar solos with amazing Toddofied soul. Mr. Rundgren was in fine vocal form and let it fly without reserve. He played most of the hits, satisfying those who only come to hear what they can listen to on the radio. He also played some deep tracks and rarely performed works which keeps a guy like me coming back. My favorite from this show was Kiddie Boy, an old Nazz track. I will not let the cat out of the bag, but rest assured that this is a must see tour for anyone who appreciates quality music.

Run, do not walk, to get your tickets to the venue nearest you for this edition of Todd and Company in concert. What a show!!! It was one memory after another, and I couldn't get the smile off my face all night long. At one point, I turned and saw a woman near me in tears. I put my hand on her shoulder, and she said, "It's just such an emotional night." That about sums it up. Yes, it was great to hear I Saw the Light, Hello it's Me, and Can we Still be Friends. And of course, they sounded fabulous! But what was FABULOUS was seeing Todd in his element, shredding on Black Maria! Ahhhh....it was just awesome. Black and White was divine. Prarie, Kaz and Jessie were all spot on. We got to hear some Utopia classics like Hammer in my Heart, One World, Love in Action, Secret Society. Even got a taste of the Back to the Bars medley with Ooo Baby Baby and I'm so Proud. I can't say enough about how utterly PERFECT this night was... makes me want to hop on a plane and go see it again somewhere else. It was that good!

I must be honest. I love Todd Rundgren, but it had been 34 years since I had seen him last. I wanted to take my wife as she has also enjoyed Todd's music but never had the pleasure of seeing him. The "rocker" Todd this was not. It was almost sad to watch this show. He came with a DJ and two dancers for a show that was totally scripted with very little audience interaction. I would have to call this The Techno Todd Show. Even "Can We Still Be Friends" was converted to a Techno vibe. The best part of the show was the last song in the encore. He played Just One Victory as it was intended. Todd can still rock, and has great stamina at age 67, but if you want to see him play with a band vs a past their prime rock star in a Las Vegas scripted stage show, you will be disappointed. I hope I see him again someday, as Todd.

Todd Rungren's performance was like a techno dance party. All the music was to a techno beat. It was completely idiotic. I don't know what he was thinking. The show completely sucked and was a complete waste of time and money. If you love old Todd Rungren songs (hello, it's me . . Why can't we be friends) you will only hear them at the end of the show, played to an idiotic techno, rap beat and sounds like garbage. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOW
