Great concert. Both artists were at their best. Set lists were diverse and showcased each artist's talents. Sound system was the best I've heard indoors or outdoors ever.

It was great to see Gregg Allman still rocking after all these years. The garden is such a great atmosphere and table seating was well worth the price. Everyone is friendly and latex back. Thanks for the fans to help a little with heat and a sovenier to take home. This is out third year enjoying the concerts here and I hope to go to many more! Loved it!!

The show itself was great! Unfortunately we sat behind this lady who wanted to dance (more like making hippie gyrations) to every song, so we had to watch her big derrier the whole time. I had to close my eyes to focus on the music instead! It was the DELAY of the show that was uncalled for. Doors opened at 7, but Allman's band never came out until 9:15. The Ventura Magestic Theatre needs to get replace the white plastic lawn chairs!!!

What a presence! From the moment Gregg came out on stage I was mesmerized. His voice was so crystal clear and filled with emotion it brought me tears of sheer joy!! I was so consumed in the moment that I wanted it to last forever. I so enjoyed every song and the band was awesome!! I would go see Gregg Allman again and again and again!!!

I really enjoyed the show. What a voice. Gregg made his classics fresh and his band was on their JOB and made it rock! This was my first time at the Grove and it is a really nice venue. Our seats were perfect. We had a great view. The crowd was jazzed and my friend, who is a real Gregg Allman fan, said it was the best show she had ever seen. Thanks, Gregg, for giving us your all.

The last time I saw Gregg solo was 12 years ago, and he put on quite a show. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I bought a couple of tix for this show. From the opening "Before The Bullets Fly" to the closing "Statesboro Blues", it was a great show. Gregg is a bit older now, but has not lost any of his vocal range. He truly seemed to be enjoying himself. I'm really glad I went to this show!

Gregg Allman and Friends was a good concert, not the best one I've seen for Gregg and friends. His voice was in top form. They played alot of Gregg's songs, a couple of Allman Brothers tunes with Gregg on guitar. They only had one guitarist, who was excellent. However, they had a guy playing saxophone and flute and another guy playing the piano in every song. It sounded okay, but wasn't the same as the Allman Brothers who I saw in May at Harrah's Rincon with Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes. Maybe a truce is in order between Gregg and Dickie Betts, then it would have really rocked.

I have been a Gregg Allman fan since the '70's and I can honestly say that he is like a fine wine. Last night's show proved it! He is a seasoned artist and really has great chemistry with his band as well as his audience. I look forward to attending another show.

Just an excellent show. He rearranged several classic Allman Brothers songs into great jaz-jam songs with unexpected twists and turns. Super musicians. Voice still awesome. We have seen his solo shows a couple times before and we were very pleasantly reminded why we always go when he's around. Do not miss the next one in your area.

I recently saw The Allman Brothers Band at the Greek Theater. This was way better. The intimate setting, the audience, and the sound system. Gregg was Gregg, but was made even better by his most 'excellent' friends. You knew this was going to be a special night with the first song. Everyone was a gem, my only regret is there is no recording of this event.

You always know you're going to here some Allman Brothers Band songs along with Gregg's solo work, but you don't always know what else will be mixed in. I was thrilled when the band played Many Rivers to Cross with their own blues feel. That was my highlight of the night.

When I discovered that Gregg Allman was going to be playing on the exact date of my birthday I immediately knew how I was going to spend the evening. However, at that time I did not realize just how amazing the show was going to be. First of all, this venue is now one of my favorite places in San Diego. The show is set in an outdoor venue right on the bay. The view of the stage includes a harbor full of sail boats and a great view of the Point Loma hillside. This venue is definitely worth the slightly higher ticket prices. In addition to the venue, the show blew my mind. Gregg Allman can still rock, there is no doubt about that. The show was a nice mix of Allman Brothers classics and Gregg's solo material. I loved it! If the show is any indication of this next year of my life, things are lookin' good! Perfect evening, Perfect Birthday!

Gregg was good. he worked hard and their were some real high points. for me the best was when Gregg stepped out from behind his organ , strapped on a guitar and sang a beautiful version of 'multi colored lady'. that alone was worth the price of admission. once again the security crew that humphrey's employs is way too rough on the paying customers. part of the fun a live show is getting up out our seats, dancing in the aisles and gathering in front of the stage. the patrons that humphrey's draw are generally older and non violent. there is no need for these 'security' people to be so strict and obnoxious. i saw Stevie Wonder there last summer and i spent way too much time during the show watching the security personnell make asses of themselves. they really detracted from the show. they really tarnish what should be a wonderful place to see a show.

Fun evening, spirited performance. Nice change of pace in the set list too. Gregg was in fine voice and played quite a bit of guitar as well, at one point (during Whippin' Post) nonchalantly tossing his pick to the crowd at songs end... Floyd Miles was there as well and kicked it up a notch at the perfect point in the show with, "You must be Crazy"...sweet. A fine rendition of Jimmy Cliff's "Many rivers to cross" was a very welcome addition... I mean this was nice. A tip of the hat to Warren Haynes on "Just before the Bullets Fly" was greeted by the crowd with warm applause and "Dreams" featured some great horn...but the highlight for this fan was the seldom played, "Sweet Feelin' " off of the "Playin' up a storm" CD...everyone in the band was smiling as they just jumped through this old gem. Even though he didn't pen this, Ray Charles just had to be smiling....

Best things first - Gregg Allman Band was highly enjoyable as he was a year ago. Solid performance with many upbeat tunes. The crowd was on their feet for many songs - which is a rarity at Humphreys by the Bay. And how I love the Humphrey's venue (great bar/drink prices) - but apparently they have a much earlier curfew this year which I found disappointing. The show started pretty much on time (just after 7:30) and was one set with an encore (no warmup band). It was all over by 9:30!!! The band and the venue get high marks - but the short show was a bummer. If Humphrey's by the Bay keeps up this early curfew then I might have to consider going elsewhere for shows (esp at their ticket prices).

This show was Gregg and his band at their best! Starting with Statesboro Blues, I'm No Angel & Please Call Home, this show was rockin' from the start, then slow bluesy numbers. Hot'lanta, Ain't Wasting Time No More, Melissa, the song selection was great! Gregg came out to play guitar on several songs, including Midnight Rider & One Way Out. Band was tight, the place was hot, and the House of Blues was cooking! Incredible guitar solo on Stormy Monday- just a great, great show! Gregg Allman keeps rockin' along with some of his best work and show in years! Can't wait for the next one. Highly recommended.

The show was fantastic. I went with my 23 year old daughter for my birthday! I have been seeing Gregg and the Allman Brothers Band since 1974. Wow 39 years! Gregg has an outstanding 6 piece band backing him up. Lead guitar, bass, drums, percussion (Marc Quinones) , keyboards and sax. They played all of the old ABB classics and some new stuff. Also some old ones rarely played live. They added a jazzy flavor to some of the tunes which made it interesting. They played for 1:45. 8:45 until 10:30pm including encore. It was the first concert I had seen at Motor City Casino Soundboard Theater. Maybe 1000 seats. very intimate setting. would say it was 90% full. Drinks can be purchased. I would recommend getting sets directly in line with stage as some of the stage sight lines are cut off from the sides. Sound was excellent and there are big screens on each side for balcony. Orchestra are just chairs on an open floor. Balcony is permanent chairbacks. I would say best seat in house id center first row balcony.

As I've thought about it over these last couple days, I am very disappointed with the concert. With the Allman Brothers (and more specifically Gregg) you expect to see one of two things. Either the full, bombastic band with two drummers, multiple guitars, and great lighting; or the more subdued Gregg singing blues and gospel. We didn't get either! We got what seemed basically as a garage band backing him up with the minimum number of musicians needed, and I actually nodded off once. There was no great guitar wizardry by anybody nor any extended songs. I think I saw the lead guitar player move his hips once - the bass player stayed in the background the whole night. The most animated band member was the organist, and he looked like he was a high school band teacher. There were no amazing solo's, whether blazing or even just some quiet piano music with Gregg's voice. The opening to Whipping Post was totally off kilter, letting the drummer do all the heavy lifting instead of a bank of guitars. In other versions, recorded or live, you barely notice the drums in that opening riff, which consisted of a unique (at the time) tempo. As I recall, that tempo was something unheard of. Had I not seen the set list in advance, I wouldn't have recognized the song until Gregg sang! I probably won't go back unless I know some of the original band members are coming with him\u2026and they mean it.

I loved the opening act, Devon Allman, he was entertaining and excellent. When Gregg Allman came out, he was superb!! Every bit the showman and the music was strong, rich and I was disappointed when it ended. Keith Urban surprised the audience and came in to jam which made the whole experience even richer!!. The Encore was excellent too, even the audience sang along at the end, everyone really got into the music.

The energy, cheering and clapping which greeted Gregg Allman when he first walked on stage was more powerful than any concert I've attended. No doubt that his fans absolutely love him and his performance did not let anyone down. Instead of starting out with some throwaway songs, Allman jumped right in with one of his two big solo hits, I'm No Angel. The band was tight, very comfortable and Allman is a gracious band leader. There's not a hint of arrogance or big ego on stage and he was more than willing to give everybody a chance to shine. (This is the opposite of Dick Dale, who comes across on stage as a complete donkey.) Allman's daughter Layla sang lead on The Sky Is Cryin' and a female bass player rocked it for two songs. Allman's performance showed him as a pure musician - not an 'entertainer' like so much pop froth and American Idol riff-raff which passes for music these days. At the end of the show, I had a warm, fuzzy feeling from Allman's performance. While the smell of marijuana was sometimes noticeable, the show, the music and Gregg Allman got me high. It was a great show. Go and see him. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I thought the show was great. Gregg is still a great musician and hasn't lost it. He played a great mix of new and old, and showcased his amazing band. They did not play "Rambin' man" but I don't know they could have done it without a tenor like Dickey Betts. Also it was nice that he brought out his son Devon for a couple of numbers. The arrangements differed from the album versions, using the sax player for some of the guitar pieces. I did feel a second guitar would have filled in where some songs had more of a jam band sound.

What a great set! Gregg opened the show with one of my favorite groove tunes that the Brothers do frequently called "Don't Keep Me Wondering". Nice deep groove that got the crowd moving instantly. he then shifted gears and did "I'm No Angel", his biggest single as a solo artist. Very nice. Excellent show, totally different vibe than an Allman Brothers show, not better or worse, just different. Bruce Katz on piano and Jay Collins on sax are superb. The interplay of these two along with Gregg's vocals is awesom. The focus is more on them instead of the twin guitars of the ABB, leading to a little more soulful bluesy show. Gregg mixed his own songs, solo and ABB, old blues covers, Dylan, and a few new songs into a great concert experience. Nothing fancy or flashy, just an icon doing what he does best, singing with emotion and soul.

Gregg and his musician friends put on an outstanding show in Richmond. Gregg's voice is strong and better than ever. He sang two songs that will be on his new CD due out April 2nd. "Just Another Rider", written by Gregg and Warren Haynes, is a great new song. I loved "Floating Bridge", an old spiritual in the public domain. It was my favorite of the show. Jay Collins flute on "Melissa" was a sweet touch and added more mystery to "Midnight Rider". The audience loved Gregg and he got several standing ovations.. He played about two hours, but it seemed like ten minutes. I loved this show!

Gregg sounds the same as he has for decades - great. There were songs I wish he would have played, but I know there are time constraints and they can only do so much. Not a huge fan of the renditions of Statesboro Blues and Whipping Post they did. Some things just shouldn't be messed with. Overall though, the show was wonderful. The music was great. The sax/flute player was amazing. They all sounded so good together. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening of great music. The opening act included the lead singer from Derek Trucks Band, so that was awesome. The venue, The National, in Richmond, left something to be desired. The stage is a bit below eye level of the general admission platform. The platform is FLAT, so if you're not really tall or in the front, you can't see a thing on stage. If they had thought to angle the platform a bit, everyone would have had a chance. By the middle of the show, enough people had moved around that I could just barely see Gregg through some heads in front of me. By the end, some people had left the area, and I finally got to see the whole stage. Definitely spend the extra money for seats if you're going to The National, especially if you're under 6' tall.

Peter Frampton put on an excellent show! He was true to the music, vocals very good, played his hits, interacted with the crowd, and we all had a good time. Greg Allman was pretty much opposite. I know he was not the original headliner for his group, and is more low key, but he seemed uncomfortable in front of a crowd. A little troubling that he needed music sheets and/or words to one of the songs. When he was playing guitar, most of the time he seemed to only strum a few notes, and his organ playing was just a supplement to the real keyboard player across the stage. Allman's lead guitar guy was excellent. Have to say I was disappointed with Allmans performance overall.

Peter was great as usual. He started slow but had the train going full speed. When he did a two guitar instrumental of Black Hole Sun I got chills. Then a version of I'll give you money that I never saw and of course ended with "as my guitar gently weeps" as he did on his 35 yr anniversary. He even played David Bowie, Rebel Rebel. Gregg played like he was back in the 80s with a nine piece band. Saw him as good as he could get and he brought on Peter for two songs. Unforgettable 3 hours of music.

Peter Frampton opened and played for 90 mins. Vocals sounded great and just like Frampton Comes Alive. He did all of his hits and covered Bowie with Rebel, Rebel and Soundgarden with Black Hole Sun. Do You Feel Like I Do closed his act and was dynamite. While My Guitar Gently Weeps was the encore. Allman moves slowly on stage, but his vocals sound as soulful as ever. Mostly ABB hits, but did a few of his, which is what most folks prefer. Frampton came on to play Whipping Post and One Way Out, which was the encore.

Gregg's voice sounded good and the band was great. I took my 17 year old son and he loved the show. They probably could have finished up with Whipping Post and played until 10:00 but the show had a great mix of songs and the solos and jams were a lot of fun.

Gregg has always been the heart that keeps southern soul-rock beating. His concert at Mystic Lake was truly a wonderful experience. I love it when gray haired, no haired, and young people get together to listen and appreciate great music. He put together a 1st class band that gives their all.

I hadn't seen Gregg Allman in years but his unique sound was like an old friend. We just picked up right where we left off. Melissa, These Days, and Queen of Hearts are among my faves and he played them all! I thoroughly enjoyed everything, except the drum solo. I've never enjoyed drum solos. It's a good time to use the restroom. I had purchased 4 tickets thinking my friend's sister and her husband were coming. They couldn't attend. I had to eat those tickets since this venue doesn't allow their seats to be sold, only transferred. I'll never buy more than just the tickets I know I can use. I used to buy a few and try to get more friends to come. I'll never do it at the Lexington Opera House again! The show was wonderful just not my wallet.

My favorite artist of all time. First time at the casino venue, but we are definitely coming back. I hope we will be able to see Gregg here again next year. Had a wonderful evening of music and memories.

What a great way to start the new year...in BR with Gregg Allman! Age hasn't slowed this rock legend down. Gregg and his talented band never fail to satisfy. Opening act performed for about an hour and Gregg and his band jammed for another 2 hours plus. Great seats, great company and of course great entertainment!

We saw Gregg Allman in Kansas City. He was AWESOME!!! The show started a little late, but that was because there were a lot of people that still needed to get inside the venue. Gregg came out and, with his band, played for about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Some of the songs he played were some of his classics, but others were songs that I had never heard. All songs were played well. The band played the songs like we were important.

We really enjoyed the show. And while we are all getting older, the magic is still there. Closing my eyes, I was brought back to my youth while he played. His voice is not as strong, but like I said we're all getting older. It was a great experience, and if you're looking to go down memory lane...go see him.

Despite his long touring and recording history we had never been to an Allman concert before. He came out 1/2 an hour late with no explanation or apology. Maybe this is par or even above par for rock superstars. The band launched into its playlist. There was no banter or talking to the audience over the next 45 minutes. None of the band members were introduced or even commented upon after a solo riff. They all had deadpan expressions on there faces, never showed any emotion - they were just playing another gig among hundreds and didn't relate to the audience at all. The audience seemed to be composed mostly of longtime fans and clapped enthusiastically. We were not won over and despite the $100 ticket price left early, dissatisfied with the whole experience.

Gregg can still sing and lead a tight and right show. They played mostly Allman Brothers tunes from the good old days, which is exactly the show I wanted to see. Statesboro Blues, Hot 'Lanta, Melissa, Whipping Post, etc. It's more of a Memphis Blues/Jazz version of these tunes (Allman Brothers never had a horn section in the old days, even though Duane would have added one eventually), but close enough to the original arrangements to be quite tasty!

If you are an Allman Bros. fan this tour is for you. What a show! Gregg starts out with his song Angel and then into Statesboro blues. Played for close to 2 hours with something like 17 song set ending with southbound. Gregg's voice still sounding good and that band just jammed.

Gregg and his band were GREAT! They played with such energy and fusion. I loved every moment and went again for night #2 on Wednesday! I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else! Seats and sounds in the Ryman were great! I preferred the balcony the 2nd night and thought the vocals sounded better, but both nights were great!

Great show, lousy fellow concert goers. All I can say is SIT DOWN except when applauding. Also people need to understand concerts are where bands try out new material. It's should not be a top ten performance of past hits. Gregge band was tight as good as any he had ever had behind him. His voice has held remarkably. Good energy for a man his age with his past health issues. Hope he paces himself finds motivation and keeps delivering as he had for the last 50 years. Am I really that old!

I have seen Gregg Allman 10+ times and the music is always recharging my soul. It was great to hear that he is still doing new stuff. Leon Russell kicked ass even at the age of 72 he can rock a house. This concert was fantastic and I could and do listen to Gregg Allman's music everyday!

After 45 years fronting the Allman Brothers Band intertwined with his solo career, Gregg Allman can still stun you with his soulful vocals. Throw in his unparalleled repertoire of original songs and you have a concert few classic rockers can match. The touring band features a horn section, keyboardist, bass, guitar, and a percussionist (not a full drum kit in sight) and they expertly extend some of the instrumental breaks which allows Gregg a little more breathing room to relax behind his Hammond B-3. And when Gregg breaks out on the B-3 he still delivers one punch to the solar plexus after another....drawing smiles from the band and ovations from the crowd. Only regret was that I wished Gregg would have stepped out from behind the B-3 for a little guitar playing....Midnight Rider, Come And Go Blues, are his signature moments for me....DO NOT MISS THIS LEGEND!

The Uptown in Napa is a fantastic venue! The acoustics were great! Our seats weren't really close to the stage, but we could see great! Gregg of course rocked! His band was phenominal! My brother from Montana was here. We saw Gregg on my birthday! Great time! Would definitely recommend the Uptown to everyone.

This was a tight, spot on performance by the Gregg Allman band. I was concerned that after his health issues in the last few years, Gregg's voice wouldn't be as strong. ABSOLUTELY WRONG! His voice was soulful, passionate and very strong. Great musicianship and crafting from the entire band made this a memorable evening. One side note: I was surprised by so many Allman Brothers tunes being included; I expected much more of Gregg's solo stuff (and I would've welcomed more of that, too). Enough already! Buy your tickets and go enjoy one of the classic voices of blues rock!

Wonderful to see Jamoe tearing the kit up again. I had not seen him in ages and I think it's great that he and Gregg are touring together. Gregg looked and sounded great. He looks so much healthier and happier now and that does my heart good. Hope to see him again soon. Beautiful venue -- The Tennessee Theatre

Would go again but was a little disappointed. He started concert with enthusiasm but lost it & seemed to be just going through the play list. Didn't interact with audience much. Really wanted to hear Soulshine but it wasn't on playlist. Crowd was very small so maybe that influenced his lack of enthusiasm. Concert was on a Wednesday & another rock concert was at a larger arena in town on same night. Think the combination caused low ticket sales.
