Outback Bowl

Game was great to watch. Seats excellent having access to club level amenities. Will make this an annual outing on New Years Day.

Unlimited refills when you purchased the Outback Bowl commemorative cup. The staff working the game were all very hospitable, pleasant and seemed happy to have us attending the game. Easy to get into the stadium, plenty of bathrooms, easy to egress.

Awesome, my very first Bowl game EVER.The drive from Atlanta was definitely worth it even though it was an ordeal once I got to Tampa - hotel overbooked, no room at the Inn literally lol. Section 337, Row F, Seat 24 - great seat, great neighbors!

Stadium seats, vendors, bathrooms, parking were all great. Pre-game music between gates C & D was good to keep the crowd occupied waiting for the gates to open. Pre-game honors to armed service members was great too. Halftime show was great to see the High Schoolers out there on the field getting a wonderful experience. They were also in Ybor City Parade and it was fun to see the variety of bands and home town origins. Stadium music clipping slightly and played too often. Especially annoying to have music drown out cheering during kickoffs. Would like to see the opposing team's bands in the endzones. This way all fans both teams will see their cheerleaders and be able to hear their bands better. (If the PA music doesn't drown them out.)

Beautiful Day, excellent game results, parking was easy, however - the stadium vendors ran out of WATER, chili for nachos and footlong hotdogs BEFORE halftime - had to leave early as I have children who do not drink sodas and that was all that was available. They also ran out of the commemorative cups with the bottomless refills before halftime!!

The cold was the only setback, otherwise great event!

Nice stadium, but wasn't at all impressed with the game. The teams chosen for the 18 Outback Bowl (UofM and USC) played sloppy football. Until SC took the lead, it was an unexciting game (and I'm not an SC fan). Poor weather and poor play from two unranked teams made a long afternoon. We nearly left after the 3rd qtr.

The venue was perfect, and all went well. Sadly we probably had one of Florida's worse weather days. The teams found things harder than they expected, but the second half was very interesting. The final result was not predictable till nearly the end..

The stadium was absolutely beautiful and we left with an unforgettable experience. GO COCKS!

Even with the FL weather not cooperating, our family had an incredible time whether our team won or lost! South Carolina winning the game made it even better, this will be a trip we never forget! The entire Tampa area embraced the fans from the hotels, restaurants/bars, drivers, and stadium workers.

We had a great time at the Outback Bowl. The venue was great to watch a game. We would definitely considering attending again.

Weather in Tampa for the game was unseasonably colder and it rained before and during the game making it a little harder to enjoy the game. The stadium is awesome and the environment is awesome...tons of college football fanatics at their best! Outside of the weather the biggest disappointment was prices for beer and water. Beer was $10 for a regular bottle. Water was $8. You always expect beer prices to be high but $10/each?! That is a bit extreme. The only prices that were reasonable was for apparel.

My 3rd Outback bowl and never disappointed. Such festivity and excitement generated by this city that knows how to put on a good game.

Great game to be a part of. As with every event parking price is too expensive!!!

It was cold for Florida, 40 degrees and windy but South Carolina beat Michigan so that made it a great day

Parking and security was excellent. Although weather not to Florida standards, it was a great game. Crowd was friendly (both teams) but the best part GAMECOCKS WON

Two very average (at best) teams. Next year we pick a different bowl game ! Somehow need to get much, MUCH better teams to come. For a while I was not sure either team would score the entire day.

We have gone to the Outback Bowl for quite a few years now. The half-time show has been wonderful. The field is completely covered with bands and performers and it is really festive.

Loved the Ray James Stadium. Great location, easy access, tons of beverage & food options. We traveled from MN to see the pre game dancers and halftime show. It was awesome!! Would have been nice if it was televised. There were a LOT of kids that traveled with the bands, cheerleaders and dancers with families that would have loved to see them on TV. Great event overall!

Second time at the outback bowl. Raymond James is a nice stadium and all the seats have a good view. Good food at the stadium too.

Great event and venue. Teams were excellent! Nice to have a Florida team.

The Game was what it was. The ball was out of the Raymond James Stadium's hands. I had a great time! Would do it again, if I get the chance.

The stadium was huge,but we found our seats,and the bathrooms easily.

Great venue. Perfect day. Parking was great, drove right in, and drove right out. Did not stop until on freeway. Restrooms clean. Escalators all the way up to the very top. Fans respectful of each other. Even top rows had seats, not bench. Beer $8.00. Air Force Jets in tight formation did fly over right at start of game. Iowa did not score a touchdown. This is the fifth bowl game loss in a row. Great everything except the score.

Was I the only one who missed the memo about not bringing ANY size purse? My purse was a cross-body, so not big but I could not bring it in! I was REALLY IRKED about that especially since we had no idea! Of course you pay a ridiculous amount for any kind of food. If you do buy the souvenir cup, be sure to have it refilled before the end of the game otherwise the concession workers are hi-tailing it out of there and do not want to give you re-fills! That was super annoying! The bathrooms are clean and no waiting in line. We found parking for $10 from the City of Tampa. Pays to drive around.

Great atmosphere, weather, game not so good. Would recommend to friends.

We had a small group of friends that went to the Outback Bowl and we had a great time. The disappointing part was that we purchased Club seating but the Club was not open. It would have been nice if there was an announcement prior to the game so that we would have known and could have chosen other seating.

The Raymond James stadium was a great host. The parking is easy, the place was clean and there were many food vendors. Due to the NFL stadium, beer is offered!

Lines getting thru security were long. Lines at concessions were short. Some concession personnel were efficient, some not. View was good. Seats comfy.

Other than our team lost the game it was a great day. The seats ended up not being the best we were squished and when the game started all the people around for us wanted to stand and did stand for at least the first 10 mins of the game. Very annoying. We even asked the people right in front of us to please sit so we could see the game too and there response was well the people in front of them are standing. Again very annoying. I let them know we bought tickets to watch the game too and we are older and can't stand that long plus it was hot. Other than that good event

Seats were great, stadium personnel and facilities was second to one.

Except I am an Iowa fan and Iowa got beat, experience was good overall. The Bowl should put the bands in the end zone seats during play rather than the corners. We were unable to hear the Iowa band in the southwest corner. That was the difference between a 3 and 4 star rating.

My brother-in-law came down from Minneapolis to see Outback Bowl cause it is his fav college team for years and wanted me to go with him and I said I would but that I would be cheering for the Florida Gators as now I am a Floridian. The first half of the game it looked like it was going to be a low scoring game as predicted by my brother-in-law with Gators taking lead after a 3-3 score when at the 2 min warning scored first touchdown making it 10-3 going into locker room. I was surrounded by Iowa fans clearly out numbered in the section I was seated in, so I was very quiet and they were very supportive of their team. But then second half was a disappointment for Iowa as they never scored and the Gators put 23 more points on the scoreboard to end up with 33-3 when we headed to the parking lot with 3 minutes to go. I had a great time and he liked the view but not the outcome. The game ended up with my prediction of the Big Ten chocking when the get to a Bowl Game.

This was our first Bowl Game as a family , it was a fantastic experience for us ; absolutely unforgettable !

Great game! Most fans were polite. Had fun spending time with my daughter. Would gave liked to have sat 1 level down, closer to band but had a great time.

Granted it depends on which team is playing, but the Outback Bowl is always a great time. 3rd time going!

easy getting in, easy getting out! No lines, all was good! And, our team won! That made the day!! It was a really nice stadium and an awesome experience all around!! It would have been a five star experience except that the end of the stadium we were sitting at didnt have a stand that sold wine! Som e of the ppl in our group didn't want to drink beer.

I enjoyed the game, it was a good struggle between two poor offenses, but it became exciting in the fourth quarter. I did not appreciate the drunk Florida fans, but what do you expect from people with no home training.

The whole family had a great time at the Outback Bowl. They started off with a fly over of a fueling jet followed by 4 sky divers. The stadium is awesome. We went to the Capitol One Bowl last year and there was no comparison, we had a way better time at the Outback. I have been to quite a few stadiums around the country and I have to say that Raymond James stadium is one of the best.

SPECIAL FORCES COMMANDOS PARACHUTING INTO THE STADIUM, A FLY OVER BY A US MILITARY TANKER PLANE, OUTSTANDING PRE-GAME AND POST GAME SHOWS, AND A FOOTBALL GAME THAT WAS EXCITING ALL THE WAY UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE MADE THIS EVENT SPECTACULAR. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I WENT TO THIS EVENT BUT IT WON'T BE THE LAST. I INTEND TO GO EVERY YEAR. GOT FAR MORE THAN MY TICKET PRICE IN ENTERTAINMENT VALUE.

The weather, stadium, parking, tailgating, and game was all awesome. Had nice hotel, found fun things to do during the day, excellent dining and nightlife.

Still hoarse and sunburned, had a great time! What a fantastic day for Urban Meyer, the Gators and the fans!!!

The game was great, and the stadium was great. We were even excited to be sitting with the Florida Gator band. Unfortunately, we were two rows behind the sousaphones (tubas), meaning that anytime the band played, we were unable to see ANYTHING in front of us, including the field. The entire section consisted of the band, except for the final 4 rows, which were student tickets. I am not sure why the University decided to put fans in this section. Fortunately, because it was not sold out, everyone in those 4 rows were able to move to the section directly to the left. However, if the game had been sold out, we would have been out of luck.

The Stadium Is generally fun and the food is great. This time around there were some pretty lame fans behind us that asked us to sit down but failed to recognize everyone was standing up in front of us. I got clarification from the stadium management if a group of 3 or more are standing to watch the game you can stand the whole game.

This was my 19th straight Outback Bowl. As always, it's a first class event !! Of course the stadium is fantastic, the entertainment superb, but the best part is the Bloomin Onion if the SEC wins and the Coconut Shrimp if the Big 10 wins.....excellent! One thing I wish the Outback Bow would do is have a hat, visor or t-shirt that just says Outback Bowl without the team names. I have a t-shirt from many years ago and nothing since. Hope there is some thought on this suggestion. Great Job !

I bought the tickets for my husband for our anniversary. We had a blast! It was quite cold but we dressed for it. The game was a close one with both teams doing a great job. I love RayJ stadium!

The football game was good but weather got colder as the day went on. Been to several Outback bowls just wish other team divisions could be asked to come, always SEC vs big 10. I would like to see a West coast vs East coast.

It was a lot of fun being in the bowl game environment. And while the football wasn't the best, it was still exciting the see Michigan and South Carolina. The weather sucked, but that obviously can't be controlled. The thing that makes this review so poor is Raymond James stadium. They sell refillable popcorn tubs, but when we went back to get a refill they were out of popcorn. We went to every concession on the main/first level and they either didn't carry popcorn, or were sold out. We had to go all the way to the top level to find more popcorn. Ridiculous. This was not at the end of the game either. Not sure why they couldn't make more. Before the game even started we went to the bathroom and they were out of toilet paper. Maybe there was a big rush on all the toilet paper early, or maybe it just wasn't stocked very well before the game. The very first concession I went to for food and drinks was out of beer too. This was just as the game was starting. After standing in line for probably 15 minutes, we get to the front to find out the beer kegs are empty. What? Don't they have a process to refill them kind of quickly? Especially since the game is just starting... Anyway, I was able to get the food and soda we wanted so it wasn't a complete waste of my time standing in that line, but others weren't so fortunate.

Great venue, not a bad seat in the place, and we were in the upper tier! Easy in and out but the weather was a downer. This was my first bowl game experience, and I will be returning. Well worth the shivers!

This event was cold to say the least but the purchase and gate entry with ticketing was a breeze.

View was good. Major problem was no coffee or hot chocolate on an extremely cold day. Also when we got there we were told there were no available handicap parking slots and yet when we passed to area there were open spots.

It was an awesome football game!! SEC prevailed, fans were great, a lot more Big Ten than SEC fans though!

Was abnormally cold but still a ton of fun! Everyone should visit this stadium if possible!

I went to Raymond James Stadium two days in a row, the Outback Bowl was the 2nd of the 2 games and was only about 15 hours after the NFL game the previous day. The entire stadium and field had been turned over to reflect the college game by the time the crowd started to arrive. The layout of the stadium is very good for viewing from any seat in the house, but do be aware that the upper level is very steep and not for the acrophobic. The only problem that we encountered was a lack of restrooms. There seemed to always be a line. Concession lines are reasonable and prices are pretty standard for a sports venue. The area around the pirate ship is really cool and well worth checking out. Do be aware that the cannon fire that occurs for Tampa Bay Bucs scores is real and the sound is nearly deafening if you are close to it. If you are volume sensitive or have kids, you may want to sit on the other side of the field. Ultimately the game was great despite the very cold weather and the majority of the fans for both teams were passionate without being obnoxious.

Stadium was 40% full and since it was cold and rainy, definitely would have been good to be able to have the ability to decide whether to go. Stadium was nice especially if warm but parking was bad- prepaid and it was still booked over 30 min before game time and hard to get out. Streets closed on way in tricky too.

Vols had a great game plan and dominated NorthWestern. The bowl experience is definitely better when your team wins. When in Tampa make it a point to go to the BrickHouse, lots of tv's for viewing games, great beer selection and food.

The stadium really screwed this event. The weather was great for football but the stadium only had roughly half of their consessions open. If you wanted anything it was at least a 45 minute wait. The ones that were open started running out of products. Very poor planning on the part of Raymond James Stadium.

We had a ton of fun at this game and the bowl committee did a great job with the halftime show. The disappointing thing was the lack of preparedness for a crowd. I was surprised that there was no one directing traffic 2 and a half hours before the game. It took nearly an hour for us to park our car and walk to the stadium. The other major disappointment was the incredibly long lines and slow service for concessions. More than half of the concession stands were closed and the open ones were understaffed. 25 to 30 minutes in line to buy a drink is ridiculous. I was also disappointed that all of the souvenir t-shirts in xl or xxl were sold out before the 2nd quarter of the game. Was it really a surprise to the stadium authorities that there was going to be a large crowd for the game?

Raymond James Stadium is nice. The lines for concessions were horrible. Thousands of fans stood in line for 30-45 minutes waiting to get water, a soft drink, or food. Only half of the concession stands were open. Next year's National Championship game will be at Raymond James. I pity the fans who will go there if they expect to get something to eat or drink during the game.

Attended the Outback Bowl at Raymond James Stadium, seating purchased on Ticketmaster were awesome. I bought "best available seats" and they were right! some of the few seats under cover, up high in the 200 level and padded seats (platinum section). No problem printing and scanning the tickets. I will absolutely use Ticketmaster again. Loved the stadium (rather small compared to University of Tennessee Stadium) but modern, clean and plenty of room to move around. Had a blast! It helped that Tennessee won, 45-6! Will return if they go back there.

We had a FANTASTIC time at the Outback Bowl. From beginning to end it was what we'd hoped for! We for sure would recommend going to this Bowl to anyone. Tampa is a lovely place to visit!

Average bowl game. Felt cheaply run. Not much to do fanfare wise pregame. The concessions/merchandise stands were as poorly run as possible. The ones by our section ran out of bottled water, chicken, beer, etc. The credit card machines didn't work and staff not friendly. There was not a trophy presentation at the end of the game which was odd compared to other bowls. Game was fun but as an event the bowl just felt average. Beautiful weather though.

Great seats under the overhang so we were in the shade! Excellent game for any Tennessee fan. Great venue for football games at Raymond James Stadium.

I go ever year, and it gets better with time. The quality of the stadium was great.

Northwestern was awlful. How could such a team be selected! The Tennessee band could have beaten them.

I really enjoyed attending the Outback Bowl between Auburn and Wisconsin. The weather was perfect and our seats were pretty good. The stadium is starting to show it's age and the stadium definitely needs new and bigger video boards. Getting in and out of the parking lot was very convenient. The food and beverage at the concession stands like most stadiums these days was overpriced. But all in all I would be happy to attend another Outback Bowl.

The Outback Bowl was amazing, even though our team lost. The Stadium was awesome! The staff was great. The only problem was miscommunication with parking. I called the stadium prior to purchasing our tickets to inquire about the parking passes. I was told that if we purchased our tickets on ticketmaster, we didn't have to purchase a separate parking pass. I was told that was the agreement they had with ticketmaster. Well when we got to the parking lot, this was not true. However the parking attendant made it right - so Kudos to the whole staff!!

I only went to this game since my daughter's high school marching band was performing. I was intrigued by the Wisconsin-Auburn matchup, which turned out to be one of the better bowl games. I do recommend attending the parade the evening before in Ybor city. I'm really appalled at bowl game names that only have the corporate sponsor name, so it would be nice to add a theme to this bowl game name

Perfect seats at a reasonable price. All fans were cordial, win or lose.

Worst job of parking (lack of) control I have ever witnessed. Great event, great job, horrible to be left at the end to fend for yourself..

Even though the weather was overcast and went from a cool day to warm during the game, all was great except the outcome of the game.

Great game and location. Seats were comfortable, too. Only negative is that the concessions were not adequate for the crowd. We encountered extremely long lines before and during the first half of the ballgame. We didn't want to miss any of the game so we waited until halftime. By then, the concessions had run out of several food items and souvenir drinks. Kind of cheesy, but I really wanted a souvenir cup as memorabilia for the game. Didn't happen!

The game itself was great, the fact that one of the top traditions in college football was omitted... Very disappointing! Wisconsin's jump around is one of the top traditions in College football today, & you didn't do it? I took my family to the Capital One Bowl last year, the highlight for my daughter.. Jump Around... This year a huge let down for her, & every body on the Wisconsin side of the stadium, very disappointed.

This was a great football game. As usual it went into overtime. This was the 5 or 6th time that this happened. The game was not very well attended - which was a shame because that Outback Bowl is always alot of fun. The bands are terrific. Half time was great.

Had a fabulous time. The weather was great- no rain !! Seats were good, was surprized at how many empty seats there was though. Staff was very nice. They must have forgotten to tell them about the 5th quarter Wisconsin style because they tried to get us to clear out before the band got going !! But it was a terrific day ! Thanks. Also want to say THANKS for the parade as well. It was FANTASTIC !!. There is something extra special about high school bands in a parade. That was outstanding.

We had a great time, seats were good, but the stadium seems a bit small. Overall, I would recommend.

The game was great, BUT. The stadium is the pits(not that old, but poor design). Cannot believe a PRO teams plays in this location. Take note it is about 7 miles from anything in Tampa right in the middle of a residential area(they do allow tailgating). Pre bowl events are few and far between and not well presented. I am comparing this to bowl games that I have attended in Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans and pro games in Atlanta Nashville. ALSO take note that smoking is allowed in most bars and restaurants in the Tampa area. Bottom line - no go back to the Outback Bowl.

This is a great venue for a college bowl game. Access in and out was very good, easy, well marked. Parking prices are a bit steep. The facility is very nice, concession prices are reasonable compared to other similar locations. That facility was well maintained. The pre game and halftime shows were excellent,

We arrived before gates opened and got in the line to buy t-shirts. Stood in line for 20 min. and got to the counter and the only orange shirts that were left were small. Gates opened so we went in and got in a very disorganized line for the t-shirt table. 20 min. later we get waited on and there are now no 2xl shirts for sister and brother-in-law. Went up to 3rd level and got in food line. Stood in it at least 20 min. (why were only half the concession stands open?) Got to order and there were no more bowl game refillable souvenir cups so we were given tampa bay cups- yuck- we're Broncos fans! Food was good except no chili for hot dogs. I went to get drink refills at beginning of 3rd qtr. Stood in line again then realized one unmarked line was moving faster for refills. seats are comfy and liked the drink holders.

For those of us cheering for the men in "orange" it was a great game, however, "purple" saw very little rain. (Suggest you place a small depiction of the stadium with seat location, market on the ticket.)
