She was amazin! I hate they kept her from impacting in the crowd as she usually does... would have liked to hear more of her older stuff...

Joss Stone at the Space at Westbury the Show was amazing Joss is such a talented performer her voice was absolutely spot on, hitting all the highs effortlessly. The Joy and gratitude she projected made this show so intimate and special. Her playful nature and chatty song explanations were genuine and heartfelt not seaming rehearsed at all. Joss enjoyed preforming and truly feed off the emotion of the crowed, it felt like she was surprised at the adoration and appreciation she was receiving. Joss projects such a warmth and happy nature while preforming it draws you in. This was truly a show I will remember forever. I ve seen a lot of shows and this one rates right up there with some of the best I've seen Queen, Aretha, Jeff Beck and Radiohead to name a few. I highly recommend catching Joss anywhere you can, she s an immensely talented little thing and so cute to boot, so get out and support her you won t be disappointed.

Awesome show. Love Joss and her band even more now. Great music selections. Only one encore and it was with a ballad :(. Just didn't get enough of her. Autograph seekers (10-20)were made to wait 1.5 hrs after show, her shower, etc. She was polite and generous but I think that wait time was a bit rude.

Joss lived up to rep BUT standing for over three hours is a bummer. Poor view all night which made this a bust. The Casino manager told us the set up is performer preference so Joss cose to make us stand all night. We'd rather have a table-with chairs- so everone has a better view and maybe another drink too. We left a little early because we got tired of standing and poor views all night. Come on Joss, we're here to enjoy your voice and the music and wath you perform. Why make us stand all night? Tickemaster needs to clearly show what performer preference is for the show, i.e.: standing only versus tables and chairs, so we can make an informed decision about which shows we will attend.

Joss Stone should be seen live! If you have ever enjoyed Joss Stone on the radio, you really should see her in concert. She is a great live performer. Still goes barefoot!

A fantastic show in a great venue. Joss was having fun and so was the crowd. I brought 4 coworkers that had never heard of Joss Stone and each of them very much enjoyed the concert. Cannot wait to see her again.

This was a great show. The Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom is a great venue. This is a small enough place to feel up close and personal with the artist while having enough space to dance and move around. Joss played a nice variety of her songs and kept the audience engaged. Her band was fabulous and she showcased some of their talents. I was concerned that I wouldn't last since she started sort of late for a Friday night after a long work week, but once she started her performance gave me a second wind.

Great performance by Joss! She really got the crowd singing swaying & dancing. We really loved the warm up band Vintage Trouble!!!

I just saw Joss Stone perform with Dave Stewart at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, CA. It was an acoustic set which is perfect...it allows Joss's amazing voice to shine. She seems so down-to-earth, so just plain cool! Her voice is amazing and I can tell that singing is as natural to her as breathing. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because she only performed for 1 hour. The venue was not full and the audience was not super-enthusiastic so it's possible she just lost interest. Those who are fanatical about her music would have stayed to listen all night. If you get a chance, you must check out Joss Stone for an authentic musical experience!

Saw Joss Stone on her last American Tour at Avalon in Boston. She was AMAZING! If you have the chance to see her live, GO! What a voice! , What a performance!

From the moment she stepped on stage barefoot, her vocals were on point and she had the crowd in a lather. A band that was worthy of all her cd's made this night even more enjoyable playing all her hits. She sounded just like her cd, but even better.Go check her out!

This concert was one of the very best I have been to. The venue is awesome--the Sound Board at Motor City Casino in Detroit. If you have never been, do yourself a favor and make it a point to go there sometime. We booked a room at the hotel. Everything is there--once you valet your car, you don't have to leave for anything--great food, 2 floors of casino, gift shop, etc. But back to Joss. She is the ultimate performer. She interacts with the audience and makes you a part of her show. Everyone who was there enjoyed her and her show. It was a good two hour show and was wonderful from beginning to end, even an encore.

Joss Stone took a pause on her World Tour schedule, and stopped at the Sound Board in Detroit, Michigan, where she gave a soulful, heartfelt performance. She would not settle for her audience to stay seated, and went out into the crowd to bring people together and be with her in her performance. Then, the party started! In her trademark bare feet, Joss performed for over two hours, demonstrating that "soul" is in the heart, and has nothing to do with race, color, or culture.

Got a little nervous at first as the crowd stayed in their seats but Joss came into the crowd on the third song and pulled people out of their seats and that turned the concert around and made it a lot better.

fabulous concert, not only is this singer talented but was totally interactive with audience. she sang, told stories, came down into audience making this the total experience for concert goers. I actually brought a friend that was only into country music and light pop and she loved it. This little Bohemian Princess with the Pipes of Soulful Bliss is a must see. She dances around the stage barefoot, smiling and bringing the audience into her platform like someone inviting you into their front room. A Night I will Remember Forever!!!

Joss always puts on an amazing show. If you ever have an opportunity to go to a Joss Stone concert GO! Don't give it a second thought, it is well worth the money. I had front row seats, but the fact that there were seats was a little annoying because we wanted to get up and dance, but we didn't want to be rude to the people behind us. Joss fixed this! She came off the stage and started pulling people up to the stage. Security almost had a heart attack and tried to stop people from going up, but Joss started singing to them that she knew what she was doing. After that the concert was on! Amazing voice! I love how she incorporates the audience into the show, but it is not annoying like some vocalist where they practically let the audience do all the signing. I hate paying to hear the audience sing and not the artist.

I've been to many concerts at Humphreys in San Diego and this concert was by far the best. The energy that Joss brought to the stage and the incredible atmosphere created made everyone wanting more. Joss Stone is such a genuine artist. Every member of her group reflects her beautiful passion and energy, and it radiates to the crowd. Loved the duet she did with Vintage Troubles lead singer too! I want more!

The opening act Vintage Trouble was very good. Joss Stone was so good! Her energy is awesome! Only downside is that I wish she would have played longer.

The venue was great and Joss was incredible on stage and kind and amazing in person! My idol and I hope one day to meet her again and possibly open for her!

I just had one of the most wonderful nights of entertainment ever! I saw Joss last night in Detroit Michigan USA. She was fabulous. Artia Lockett and Ellison Kendrick (both outstanding singers) were backing, Jeff Watkins, great on sax. AJ on guitar, Pete Iannacone bass guitar , and Tony Royster Jr on drums and trumpet-not sure and Christian Lohr- keyboard. Everyone was in top form. She did not do any of her new songs, but that didn't matter. She came out to a mostly older crowd but an appreciative one. It was a seated venue, but after the 2nd song she came off the stage to urge everyone out of their seats and come up front. That really put things in motion. I have always wanted to see her up close, and this did not disappoint. She is absolutely beautiful! She is beautiful inside and out, but her physical presence is stunning. Her voice was very strong and sounded perfect. She seemed very happy and upbeat and her personality was at the top of her game. She even sang happy birthday to someone's mother in the crowd. The crowd was responding more and more as the night went on and you could see her feeding off the love. She always seems to enjoy the show as much as we do when she has a good crowd. She is a very positive person and really likes to interact with the crowd. She is truly talented and does not need to stick to a script. She can adlib and sing what she wants. She ended in her typical style with "Right to be wrong" and passed out yellow flowers.. they may have been sunflowers. Do not miss the chance to go see her if a talented soulful singer and fun are what you like.

It was really nice, I recomend everybody to go in her show! I also did not have any problem with parking and tickets!

Joss was sparkling! I enjoyed the cover band too. Best Buy Theater was annoying with all the tall people up front so nobody could see over their heads! They have to find a better way for the audience to view the stage.

After missing the show at the Highline Ballroom a few months ago and seeing the entire show that she posted on YouTube I knew I couldn't miss this performance. She didn't disappoint. Her backup band and singers were great and she didn't miss a note all night. The biggest part of her stage show is that you can tell she is having so much fun up there that she would probably do it for free. I wish her more success but with that comes the fact that I won't be able to see her in a small venue again like this.

Joss Stone is unbelievable! She truly is an amazing artist and performer. She was very talkative throughout the show to engage the audience and was absolutely beautiful in person. Her voice was flawless and sang alot of her greatest songs!!!! It was kinda tiring to wait for her after the opening act but once she came on, the music revived everyone! As for Vintage Trouble----phenomenal opening act to rile up the crowd. They had everyone dancing and get pumped up. They were the BEST opening act I have ever seen. High energy and overall FUN!!!!!!!! Their music was so original and refreshing to hear GREAT music. I can see why Joss Stone picked them. They really complimented each other. Let me start off with the casino ballroom very unique 1899 music theater that hosted the likes of ,Led Zeppelin,Jimi Hendrix,Janis Joplin just to name a few you could feel the ghosts of the past in the ballroom it was awesome . Very nice acoustics and lighting the pa system was perfect The staff was very helpful and polite.The concert was general admission and we walked right to the front of the stage that had alittle barrier about a foot from the stage that you could lean on we were there early and had to wait about a hour for the show to begin but i will tell ya its well worth the wait :) . The opening band Vintage trouble also from the uk took the stage at around 8pm and wow what a reception the crowd went wild ,A cross between blus,soul and gospel you could hear alittle James brown and Al green and the lead singer had the moves of old school elvis,james brown,and MJ and a very soulful voice awesome show . Now time for the Princess of soul the one and only Joss Stone came out with (for gods sake) give the power to the people Joss came out with alot of enthusiasm and was dancing all over this little tiny stage i was like Wow she was right up in my face and singing to me one on one what a experience and as she moved from side to side she kept coming over and was so close what a great energy joss was getting from the crowd her voice was soft as velvet and sounded awesome right on key perfect pitch and entertained the crowd for well over a hour and a half ,Her backup singers are the best ! I highly recommend that if your a Joss stone fan like myself get there early and get to the stage it is so worth it LOVE YOU JOSS your the best and will see you again Thank you for such a memorable concert that i will never forget Jimmy :)

Of course I expected Joss Stone to be great and she lived up to her reputation. She was gracious, fun, and what a voice. Truly captivating! Hampton Beach seems to bring out the best in many artists. They just seem to feel comfortable there. She sang a mix of old and new sons and a few covers. She definitely bridges the gap between old and new and brings back some great classic music for younger audiences to experience. The surprise was the opening act, Vintage Trouble. These guys rocked! James Brown, Solomon Burke, Lenny Kravitz are some of the comparisons that come to mind. High energy, great spirit. These guys are going places or should be. Definitely check them out. Hopefully they will tour smaller places on their own sometime soon. Would go see Joss or Vintage Trouble again any time. They were both excellent!

Even though it rained- the show was fantastic! Joss Stone is an incredible preformer!! Her band rocked it!!! would see again for sure!!!

I went to see the venue and thought it was fantastic. Joss played what the fans wanted to hear. One thing that will never make sense to me is forcing fans to line up on the sidewalk a mile long to get in for over 1 1/2 hours ? Simply let's them in as they arrive and enjoy what the hall has to offer. First come first serve works. Who ever thought of making fans stand outside needs a wake up call. Standing room on level one with alcohol? Why wait outside ? The balcony is for older fans who want to sit down and works great. Wake up danforth hall and change bad ideas.

My college aged kid and I braved the rain and were able to relish in the amazing vocals of Joss Stone last Thursday. She is so incredible. She can bring down the house even after an hour straight of singing. Her pipes should be a British National Treasure! The venue, Chene Park is perhaps the best venue for a concert I have ever attended. Right on the Detroit River. It was beautiful, and a great atmosphere for a summer evening concert!

Joss NEVER disappoints, and this was evident during this show. Saw a bit of Charles Bradley, glad he's back and healthy, and he did a great Sabbath cover to end his show. THANKFULLY the entirety of the pavilion is covered, as it was POURING that night. Joss was ever the lovely siren, serenading us through her catalog, and the reggae song she played was great. If you EVER get a chance to see her, do it! Venue is pretty cool, too. Nice watching bands perform with the Detroit River and Canada as backdrops. Only problem is the ushers are a little green.

Joss Stone brings a positive energy to the stage when she takes the mic. Her show is light and fun - it seems that she really enjoys the performance. Couple that with her great vocals and you are in for a musical treat. Then there is the venue. The Chene Park Amphitheater sits on the Detroit River so guest have a great view of the water and passing boats during the show. It was an awesome date night event!!!

I still have goosebumps! Charles was amazing. Joss was spectacular. Venue, best in Michigan.

Her interaction with the crowd is only surpassed by the ease in which her vocal instrument delivers. My wife and I bought tickets with no prior exposure to Joss' music. We are now the converted.

I am a long time fan, but this was my first time seeing Joss live. Her voice has captivated me on recordings for over a decade, but hearing her in person exceeded all expectation. She is a rare talent who can pierce your soul and transport you. She exudes everything positive, and the vibe of the show was uplifting in a way I've never experienced. A pocket of pure joy and love in a wearying world. My only complaint is that it could have been longer, but then again, 5 hours would still feel too short to me. With the amount of energy and soul she pours into her performance, I can only be grateful for each song. Thank you Joss for a unique, unforgettable experience. Come back soon.

Have seen Joss Stone, several times, in the last 15 years. She is the one performer that still has it going on! I have never been disappointed by her sound, or the way she moves her fans!!

Can't say enough good things about Joss Stone. Really am not sure why she's not a bigger star than she already is. Makes the other female singers out there sound like pretenders! A must see. The venue was great as well.

Came on @ 945, Sheepdogs two nights earlier came on BEFORE 930 and played until after 11. Talked for 5-10 minutes between each song and was nearly incomprehensible for whatever reason. Actual time playing was very limited although her time on stage lasted until before 11pm. How about playing for 90 minutes for that price. One blues song in the set list.

I GOT TO THE THEATRE IN TIME TO GRAB A DRINK, A SANDWICH AND MY AISLE SEAT. JOSS PERFORMED MOST OF SOUL SESSIONS VOL. 2 AND A FEW SONGS FROM PREVIOUS WORKS. I'M PRETTY SURE SHE DID SUPER DUPER, FEEL IN LOVE WITH A BOY, SPOILED AND JETLAG. THE SONG I LIKE MOST OFF SSV2 IS THE REMAKE OF SYLVIA'S PILLOW TALK, MMM... BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER IF SHE DID IT OR NOT AS I SAW THIS SHOW 2 YEARS AGO AND AM ONLY NOW WRITING THIS REVIEW. SHE HAS AN POWERFUL VOICE AND IS BEING DUBBED AS THE PRINCESS OF SOUL, FITTING... :)

As an audio engineer I have a hard time going to see music because usually something bothers my ear but the Joss Stone concert was sooooo well mixed. It was like listening to a recording and the venue was great. This was my wife (a singer herself) and I's first time going to the Sound Board and we really enjoyed ourselves.
