What a terrible year at the SB Mariachi Festival. I don´t remember being so upset over a concert. The performance by Mariachi Vargas was fair to poor. The crowd kept waiting for a something exciting to happen. Ana Barbara came out to sing 4 songs, there goes the main event. Pablo Montero lacked professionalism on stage. Bad planning and bad performances. The local mariachi bands outdid the ¨professionals¨.

I have been a fan of Ana Barbara for many years now, i was impressed to see she is a true singer and a proffesional vocalist. She performed acustic style version of many of her hits and also some awesome covers that sounded like her own songs! Ana Barbara is also a great dancer and super funny on stage, i loved the show!!!

Ana Barbara is a great entertainer and singer. She has been around for 15 years now so her repertoire is amazing (she often combines medley's of hits into one song). She truly represents Mexico's culture and traditions, displaying so many sounds in one night. She stays true career hits with costume changes, background dancers, lighting, and dance moves, it's all amazing. The first part of her show begins with a current single or classic single's like "Loca," "No Llorare," or "Que Ironia." During mid show she pays tribute by covering songs from her biggest influences in music, which are Vicente Fernadnez's "Aca Entre Nos," Jose Alfredo Jimenez' "Caminos de Guanajuato," Marco Antonio Solis' "Como Me Haces Falta" and "Si No Te Hubieras Ido," and the unforgettable Selena with "Carcacha." She ends the third set of her show with her biggest hits like "Bandido," "Lo Busque," and "Rompiendo Cadenas." After many petitions from the screaming crowd she returns for an encore performing one last song! The entire show is energetic, warm-felt, and engaged with the croud, often brining fans on stage to sing or dance along. She changes costumes quickly so she doesn't let the energy die down one bit. The best part of the evening is the opportunity to meet Ana Barbara in person, thanks to her official fan club access. Can't wait to see Ana Barbara once again in Los Angeles, or possibly in Las Vegas. I wonder if Vegas offers Latin stars the opportunity for permanent shows because Ana Barbara would be a great opportunity for many people to watch in Vegas!
