Was really impressed by the band. I have seen them once before and was more impressed this time. The jams were more concise much as Phish's are. Sultan's of Swing was cool as well. Cayman Review or Alive Again were my favorites.

trey and classic tab were great. jennifer hardwick rocked it, as did the (very young) trombonist, and trey played tightly with lots of energy. although there were a few duds, they played lots of old stuff (most of the first album in fact), which was wonderful. trey also did a solo acoustic mini-set, which was cool. the show was really long. the venue was also great. it was cool to see them in a smaller space with good ambiance. the only problem with the venue was the sound. the music sounded ok, but it wasn't really loud enough, and you couldn't understand what trey was saying when he talked. also, the beer lines were WAY too long. they needed to set up more bars. the crowd was ok. the chick who puked violently all over the very crowded sidewalk at set break was kinda awesome too. actually, the awesome part was watching an entire team of high school cheerleaders (in uniform) walk through it... the guy who puked all over the seats right behind us was less awesome.

Absolutely unbelievable show. The energy was pouring off the stage into the crowd and bouncing off the walls. I have never seen Trey so together and on his game. The band behind Trey are special musicians and I really felt privileged to be at the show. "Push on till the day", which I've heard live 5 times now, is definitely a the top of my list. All I can say is amazing musicians, great music and incredible fan base. Dont miss this band. Scalpers were asking $150 a ticket, I would've paid $500 and not thought twice about it.

I've seen Trey with every adaptation of his solo work. I've seen him with just Tony and Russ, then with Ray also, all the way up to when he had a 10 piece. I rather enjoyed Trey's 10 piece, but honestly, the way they played on 2/16/10 was just terrific. It was an extremely high energy show. Russ and Ray were totally pumped and Jennifer was awesome, as usual. New edition, Natalie, was great and it was a really cool atmosphere when Trey introduced her; very familial. Trey, as is always the case these days, was phenominal; ever evolving in his sound, technique, and phrasing. Don Hart's pre-tour re-charting for the horn section really paid off. They were solid and the chords were big and juicy. If there are tickets still available at your local venue, you'd be a fool not to go. Best $40 I've spent in a while.

This show was incredible. I have seen 3 shows at the Electric Factory, and all three were great. This was my first Trey show, and it did not disappoint! I went with my boyfriend who is a Phish and Trey fan and has seen them both several times, but even he was raving about how great this show and both sets were. Props to TAB for some incredible jams, solos for each instrument, and great backup vocals. What a great vibe and experience!

Trey Anastasio has been one of my favorite guitar players, song writter, and all around musician from the first time l saw him joined with dave mathews in philly for a project called dave and friends in 03 and since then I have followed him from the end of phish through his five year solo act with seventy volt parade , to tad ,and back to phish in hampton 09. When I arrived at the concert hall I felt a bit out of place , so many people were dressesd up but of course their were plenty of steriotypical phish fans to blend into, but seeing people so dressed up made me more excited getting the feeling I was about to see something completely new and I was right, the orchestra meshed perfectly with trey hipnotic solos and lyrics in a generation of so many movie remakes and lazy stale music it is refreashing to see and hear something so creative that speaks to a range of generations musical preffences. To have such stunning classical music mixed with powerful electric rock and roll and have it sound the way it does is just for lack of a better word incredible. I look at music from entirely new perspective, I pray it will be release for purchase.

I have seen hundreds of shows and too many to list with Trey on Guitar and this was just a stand out performance. It was very emotional and so intimate. This had been a project in the works for many years. However, the audience did not match the typical symphony visitors. I will admit that I was moving my head up and down throughout the performance, but other people were up dancing. Especially during the unexpected encore with Tropics, everyone at least was moving. The strings really amplified Trey's guitar abilities.

The schemerhorn symphony center was incredible as well as the symphony. How all those musicians could play perfectly with Trey (whose musical talents are also impressive) was rather dumbfounding. The sound system was impeccable. It was great fun to see all the Phish fans there (many like me their first time at the symphony) and enjoying it so much. I can't wait to go again. I want to suggest the symphony line up Joe Bonamassa and Susan Tedeshi. That in my estimation would be the only way to top this event. Loved it!!!

This is the 2nd time I've had the pleasure of seeing Trey and his band and they did not disappoint. Led by Trey's infectious energy, every member of the band gave it all they had. There was a new backup singer, a guy who joined the 2 women, who not only played a mean sax but also had a beautiful and strong voice. Several of the songs were ones I had not heard before but I enjoyed them a lot. My only criticism is that Trey's mic needed to be turned up and the keyboard player could have been louder also. He was doing some very complex playing but it was difficult to hear at times.

Guitarist extraordinaire Trey Anastasio's long overdue return to Houston last Sunday was a mind-blowing experience! Trey is touring with a fantastic group of musicians, and his ensemble was a great example of the whole being greater than the sum of it's the parts. They covered a broad range of musical genres, but with each selection, there was great orchestration and interaction between players. Trey guitar work was superlative, with great energetic extended jams and solos that built to exciting crescendos. The show was a really joyful musical experience, and an inspiration to lesser guitarists such as myself. My only complaint was the horribly self- absorbed inconsideration of the many of the chemically-lobotomized Phish fans, who from the very start of the show, refused to sit in their seats (to the frustration of the rest of us) and aimlessly flailed about (like they had a rubber spine) for the entire night, uncaringly obstructing everyone's view behind them, and apparently oblivious to the amazing performance that was happening on stage :-(.

Been to a bunch of Phish shows over the years, this was my first TAB show. Now of course wish I'd gone to more. Impressive blend of the familiar, with the not so familiar. Super talented group of musicians combining jazz, rock, funk, reggae, and pop. I will not miss the opportunity in the future. Trey seems energized, enjoying his life, and his other band. Have to say, it was also nice to see them at the Fillmore in Denver, vs the small and crowded Ogden. Great experience.

Trey really brought it on all accounts, including his unbelievably crack band, & stunning staging & lights! Every tune seemed to top the last. The musicianship throughout, to a person, was stellar & there was palpable joy among the musicians onstage as they tore through their repertoire. Trey is not necessarily the most talented guy onstage--much to his credit. He is surrounded by seasoned journeymen going toe to toe with him every step of the way & milking the best from every bit of material covered. The concert was filled with surprises & crackled with wonderful energy from start to end. There is no quit in this band as they seamlessly went about their business of burning the house down! I will see them again when they return, without question. Highly recommended by this newbie! BTW; The FoX is a wonderful venue. I was ticketed GA on the floor but migrated to the upper balcony, back of the hall in the nosebleeds & loved it from up there! The show sounded & looked incredible from my perch in the rafters!

I love high energy shows. That energy that gradually brings the crowd to it's feet as the music and band begins to build. That feeling you get when you pity the band that has to follow this performance? In the recent "Kansas - Miracles Out of Nowhere" rocumentary, the band recalls warming up Aerosmith and Steven Tyler's reputation for pulling the power cord on the warm up band if they move the audience and become too difficult an act to follow. They set up a dummy power cord which he eventually went to pull, nothing happened and Tyler practically gave birth on the side of the stage. I saw this type of buzz when Kenny Wayne Sheppard played the Greek Theater in LA in 2014 warming up Los Lonely Boys. KWS left the audience in buzz while "reigning" down upon the main act. Well this is the type of buzz the audience had throughout this amazing performance. The drummer-amazing almost "Keith Moon-ish" type performance. The backup singers who made up the horn section had great chops. Keyboards & bass left nothing on the table. I haven't said a word about Trey Anastasio. This clearly is a must see performance. You will not be disappointed. A guaranteed 5 star show that will leave a buzz on for you.

This was an incredible show for us and our friends who road tripped up from Northwest Arkansas. Have been seeing Phish since 1994 and are now approaching our mid-40's. TAB is an amazing collection of musicians; Trey really serves as the Band Leader and gave it everything he had, while sharing the spotlight too. The set was loaded with classics, probably 8 songs from Traveler CD and a few new ones. Two full sets and a 2 song encore. Highlights included the longer and well jammed Gotta Jibboo; Burlap Sack and Pumps; Money Love and Change; Sand and Push On to the Day. Architect was stunning as well, as Trey beamed his guitar reflection across the audience. In short, some of the new "phans" criticize TAB, but on this cold icy night, I would not have asked for anything else (well, I would have liked a "First Tube").

I m not a big fan of the LC indoors, they tend to pack us all in there like sardines, but I suppose it just depends on who you re seeing and how good the concert is\u2026because for the TAB show I didn t mind in the least!! I ve seen many Phish shows, so I m already a fan. This was my first solo Trey show and he didn t disappoint! It was a mix of his new songs, old songs, and a few Phish songs thrown in for good measure. The band itself was fantastic, loved the horns (you go girls!!) and the mixture of percussion (ranging from your standard drum kit to calypso drums). If you get the chance I would highly recommend you take it, you ll be happy that you did!!!!

first show Ive seen in months. What a show it was. Huge smiles all around. He was jumping around and conducting the horns like a mad scientist. Shine. High energy Super charged Push on til the day. Nice Cayman review. He looked really happy and healthy. His guitar sounded soo sweet. When most acts would typically end their show-he launched into an acoustic stellar mini-set. Nice Joy & Water in the sky + bathtub. Set break. Nice sand. After midnight the show got a little long and silly. He showcased Jennifer Hartswick too much. You know the heavy Horn player chick w/ the really big voice? Well, they launched into a black dog from Zeppelin. Potential is all that would amount. She took the lead vocals which Trey should never attempt. She was shrieking and wailing & hurting my ears. Morgan was shaking hher head. Bad to worse- they encore with First Tube. A bunch of squealing feedback & swinging the guitar shennanigans ensue. After a 2nd set that was light on vocals to begin with, it was just not a strong of a finish. It can't take away from all the magic leading up. Long show. Great show-ended badly.

I didn't know quite what to expect from this performance, but it was a great night of excellent musicianship at a beautiful venue. I cannot say enough about the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, it's simply amazing and I would jump at the opportunity to see a show there again. Trey was spot on for almost the entire night and obviously humbled to be in the presence of such an incredible group of musicians. It was great to see him in a new light and displaying talents I've always known he had. The setlist was simply superb, opening with Divided Sky and following with other beautiful Phish classics like Brian and Robert, The Inlaw Josie Wales and Water in the Sky (dedicated to Trey's sister who had recently succumbed to a long bout with cancer). Pebbles and Marbles and First Tube provided a rocking end to the first set, and even if the show were to end right there I would have been completely satisfied. The second set featured Trey's epic orchestral composition Time Turns Elastic and ended with an incredible version of Guyute. All in all, this show was definitely worth the 3 hour drive from NJ and if you have the opportunity to see one of these rare performances I would consider it a must-go.

I attended April 20 and 21 at Chicago Theater. Over 40 songs and 6 plus hours of music with not a repeated song. More than half of the songs were regular Phish songs, and April 21 saw the band roll out 9 songs the Trio had not played yet on this tour. Have seen phish 25 times and Trey Anastasio Band 6 times. With the Trio, Trey really stepped up with lots of guitar effects and nice jamming, rather than sharing time with the horns and keyboard. Russ Lawton was a machine on drums and Tony buoyed the rhythm with a steady bassline. The venue was gorgeous and the sound stellar, with 3600 in attendance each night. If you are a phan, you will not be disappointed catching this lineup.

I've been to Phish shows, Dead, shows, and every other kind of musical group you can think of. This show has been officially put into my brain as one of the best I have ever been to. The rhythm was tight and heavy as Trey played a fantastic variety of styles. There was no down time even in the slower songs. The bass was heavy and holding, the drums consistent and intense keeping up and adding at just the right times, and Trey was tearing it apart. This trio doesn't get together often so take advantage while you can!

Trey's performance was great! He never disappoints. The fact that we're used to seeing him play to an audience of 10s of 1000s and this venue only held about 800 made this one very special. I felt like he was just up there playing to a crowd of friends instead of him being a major rock star playing a concert. I also loved the venue! The stained glass and Jewish symbolism was so beautiful. The acoustics and lighting were great too. I just wish the merch stand wasn't cash only but I am pretty sure that's not the venue's fault.

Quality of the show was very good. Technically very professional, high standards were set by the performer as well as the venue. Will go again!

I like Trey, but the horn section, whether playing their instruments or singing, are what make this band worth seeing. :-)

First off, YMUSIC leads this off by telling us that they are all wearing stethoscopes hooked up to their earphones so they can keep in synch with their breathing and heartbeat. You bet, I don't know of anyone whose breathing coincides exactly with another's, let alone 8 people and to have their heartbeat in synch too, no way. Guess that's why they sounded so out of touch with each other. The bearded violin player who purposely would play two strings at the same time that were not complimentary of each other was I thought an error, but he did it several times so it must have been a written part of the score. Out of synch and out of tune. Trey Anastasio, after a purported 30 years of making music should be able to play his guitar better. Picking out one note at a time and repeating the same up and down scale over and over reminds me of when I first learned how to play an instrument. At least the orchestra lent a hand at trying to make some music out of this.

First time to visit the "BOWL" WOW. One of the best places I've ever seen a concert. Amazing setting and incredible sound. The LA Phil provided the perfect companion to Trey. It was magical.

The Taft Theatre is an amazing place to see a show. Seeing Trey and his band was tight and completely blew me away. TAB didn't make me miss Phish one bit. It was fresh, creative, and new. The opposite of nostalgia act. Trey pushes the boundaries of music. The lights were off the hook.

The show was packed at the Charlotte Fillmore and so much fun. Trey puts on an amazing show with his band of talented musicians. The band has it's own sound different from Phish but still incredible music. And Trey as a frontman has a great presence and persona that makes his shows special. Great time!!

Trey is always good, but this show out of over 50 TAB shows I have seen was the best energy of any TAB event I've attended. I have seen Phish over 100 times, and the energy of this show rivaled even Phish. What a treat!

Trey Anastasio's show at HoB New Orleans on Sat Feb 8 was OUTSTANDING! Even my girlfriend, who had never seen Phish or Trey solo before and knew none of the music before hand, thought it was amazing. Go see this band!

Awesome set list and a lot of energy from the band. I was concerned about being in the pit because for these types of shows it usually includes a lot of people who are, well swaying for one reason or another. Very polite crowd, no issues, will see Trey the next 100 times he comes through.

Great, high-energy show. We were expecting something a little mellower, but were blown away. Looked like Trey and the band were really enjoying themselves. Sound at the Pageant was better than I've experienced at past shows there. Crowd was into it (always helps). If you get a chance to see TAB, Do it! You will not be dissappointed.
