I'm a newcomer to the Wolf Parade scene, this was my first show and i was a little unsure of how they would sound live. They sounded AMAZING! Mixing their playlist up with music from their newest Expo 86 and older material from Apologies to the Queen Mary, and At Mt. Zoomer, they played for a long time and brought a lot of energy into every song. They were troopers about some technical difficulties, keeping a good sense of humor even as the crowd was growing impacient. Really impressed with this band, i highly reccoment them!

As much as I like the new album "expo 86" I was longing for more songs off of "Apologies to the Queen Mary" Also, I seem to enjoy Spencer Krug songs a little better overall.

Perfect show, perfect venue. Terminal 5 gets hammered for having bad sightlines but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary last night. Had a seat on the railing of the first balcony and couldn't have been happier. Sound was great too. I'd return to Terminal 5 tonight if I could. Warm up acts Zola Jesus and the Moools were strong - definitely into the whole playing NYC thing. Crowd was supportive. Wolf Parade were amazing - humble as heck and rocked every song. Wished the played Language City.

the first opening act was uninspiring and forgettable. the second was just terrible... it seemed that their only aim was to make as much noise as possible, and to be as annoying as possible... completely loud, off key, really really bad singer. wolf parade itself wasn't bad, it seems, but the sound was so terrible that it's hard to tell. very muffled... instruments weren't clear, and all the voices blended together in a not good way. really bad acoustics. unfortunate because it seemed like they would have sounded great if some sound adjustments had been made!!

They weren't very talkative with the audience, but that doesn't matter because Wolf Parades music dominated the night. It was impressive to see the singers switch off. Both have unique tones and make for an enjoyable listening experience. My only complaint . . . the crowd was catatonic. I thought NYC would have had more in her. Anyway, great show. Check them out. I would be most curious to see them in a festival setting like Bonnaroo or Summer Camp.

Good band, but too much new material was pushed last night. The brand new record may be fine, but those tunes are still largely unfamiliar & they lacked the same hooks or response the earlier stuff delivered. This hurt them especially early on, and they never fully recovered from it. They never got to the point of really setting the room on fire, and the energy was sucked out a few different times by over-doing the new. They would have fared better if they sprinkled in new tunes with the same occasional frequency they went back to old familiar ground. It was gutsy to focus on the new record as much as they did, but this approach probably would have translated a lot better in a smaller room.... where they could've gotten away with playing the entire record from start to finish if that's what they wanted to do.

I really wish people would stop the clapping. I don't go to the show to hear you clapping in my ear.. let the band play and give them the respect they deserve. And those guys shouting "This Modern Love"... is that really what you came for?

In my humble opinion, these guys are the most exciting band today. Not only are their record's amazing, but their live performance is 2nd to none. They're humble and honestly appreciative. The amount of passion, energy and emotion they put into their shows is truly astonishing and Friday night's show in Atlanta was no exception. The boy's were in top form as they tore through their discography. If you have the oppportunity to see this band live, do yourself a favor and be there. It's incredibly inspiring to watch these guys play and you'll thank yourself later. My only wish is that they played longer. It's not that they played a short set; it was probably a little longer than the average show and I'm sure they were exhausted. Selfishly, I just didn't want it to stop; only a GREAT band can evoke that feeling!

I bought a wolf parade album in 2003 and always knew they had the sound i wanted to hear live. Nov. 12, 2010 Atlanta, Ga (7 years of dedicated listening) I brought a former band member and lover of music who had never heard their stuff. we were pumped from start to finish and i think he enjoyed it almost as much as i did. great set list, great energy, great sound... absolutely outrageous!!!

It was an average show with minimum lights and what not besides the music, which can still be good, but the vocals were overpowered by everything else and the band didn't interact a whole lot with the audience. And the show ended early it seemed (11?). The japanese band that opened for them was interesting. None of their lyrics were in english but they were decent enough. Overall just a decent show.

This was a fantastic show. Fantastic, as in, one of those shows that makes you weary of going to another show because you fear an inevitable letdown. Everything here was great, from the scorching opening band (Japan's 'Ogre You Asshole'), to WP's song choices to their intensity to their sound to the fact that they played for nearly two hours. And the venue is a winner as well. The Troc rocks.

Great show, but short: I guess it was ok because they didn't waste time talking like some nerdy bands do. I like bands that just play. They're my fave still! they rocked philly a few years back, and they still rock now.

Highlights: I'll Believe In Anything Cave-O-Sapien $4.50 Yuengling drafts (Sadly, this is decent in comparison with the usual) Lowlights: Sitting Indian style behind an affectionate couple making out in front of me. Crappy opening band. Would have liked to seen a band like Plants and Animals or Parlovr.

I was front row, leaning on the stage. Spencer was directly in front of me. Absolutely amazing live and the band is the nicest group of people. I hung out with the band for 30 minutes after the show, which was easily the greatest moment of my life. Wolf Parade is a must see.

Awesome opener from Japan! Wolf Paraded kicked ass, played great variety of new and old back to back. High energy performance... Its always great when you pay money to watch a band play and it seems they might be enjoying the music even more than you are (if that is even possible). Love down to Earth Canadian bands that play their instruments like crazy mad men!!!

Wolf Parade did an amazing job in fulfilling their job as musicians. They are extremely talented, and it shows through their live performance. I had a lot of fun and The Wiltern was beautiful and luckily the crowd was awesome for the most part. I enjoyed the enthusiasm that Wolf Parade was able to establish. I most definitely recommend to fans to go out and see them at some point in their life-they were worth every dollar and my time.

This was probably one of the best shows I have ever been to. The staff was really friendly at the venue (although I wish they didn't do the wrist band thing for the pit) and the sound was great. Wolf Parade put on such an energetic, and fun show...I didn't want it to end. And I felt like they really wanted to be there. They weren't worried about the time, they just played. I also loved the opening acts, everyone was fun and it was just a great show overall. I will absolutely buy a ticket for their next show!!!

Wolf Parade was great. The opening acts were great. The only thing I wish was different was our seats. We had a nice view from the balcony but I was so jealous of the people in the pit.

I go to a lot of shows but the atmosphere at Wolf Parade was unlike anything I have experienced before. It was a dance party/love fest and everyone had a communal sense of excitement. The showed opened with Japanese rock band Moools who were a pleasant suprise and well recieved. Once Wolf Parade got on the stage the venue was immersed in sounds, many times the audience's singing overtaking the vocalist. They were on point musically and added just enough varience to make the song interesting but still recognizable. Also, they did a great job of mixing the new stuff with the old to please fans of all their albums. They are astounding performers!

This is one of my favorite bands out there today, but I have to say that I did not enjoy the show as much because it was an all ages show. This city and venue do not have the slightest clue how to make a show like this work. This is probably the last all ages show I will attend at this venue.

Wolf Parade was excellent dispite the mellow sunday night crowd. Wolf Parade made a good selection of old & new songs to balance out the taste of the listener. In conclusion, it was the best possible way to end a long weekend.

Over the past few years I've heard nothing but great things about the shows at the Beachland Ballroom & Tavern. Over the past 4 months or so I have been able to experience the Beachland for the first time seeing three show. All three have been memorable to say the least. With that being said I was just so moved by the music that came forth at the Wolf Parade/Moools show. I heard about Moools through a friend but getting to see this 3 piece pound out their love for rock and roll was certainly one of the best opening bands I have seen in the 40 years of my life. I seriously almost wept at the intensity that they brought to the stage within the first song itself. They won the love of the crowd and I was feeling like these guys deserved and encore. 5 stars to this band out of Tokyo. I had originally planned on attending the Iron Maiden show at Blossom which was set for the same night as Wolf Parade. But having seen Iron Maiden several times in the 80's I decided that this may be my only shot at catching Wolf Parade live. I was not let down nor did I even think that I would be. I was incredibly impressed at the love and passion of music that these 4 gentlemen bring. What great persona they share with the crowd and you feel the warmth of their kindnesses in between the chest pounding riffs and swelling keyboard sounds that steal you away moment by moment. I have only been made to be a devoted fan of these guys. There is something to be said about a band that brings the music and also makes you feel appreciated for coming out to see them. They let you know that at the end of every song through their smiles and gestures and not because they have to but because they love to. Their intent to make great music is undeniable as well as give their hearts to the crowd for a few hours. Thanks to the Beachland Staff as well for just being a five star group of the friendliest workers I've ever experienced in the music arena. Cheers!

Loved every minute, every note. I don't know how some people in the audience just stood there and watched. I couldn't stop moving! The guys rocked. They were friendly and funny and we hope it won't be too long before they come back to see us in Cleveland.
