I left during intermission. It was not good at all. Kids were squeaky... It was just bad for me. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious was good but one song doesn't make the show... In my humble opinion.

One of the best, if not the best, plays ever on broadway. My daughter, 9 years old, wants to see the play again. We love to see plays that is enjoyable to all ages, young to old, and this one is just that!

The "Step In Time" number when Bert climbed the wall was a scene to be remembered for all time. The dancing and singing in that number in the second act were totally engaging and received many "BRAVOS".

We saw Mary Poppins last night and were amazed by the production. The special effects and set design were really exemplary and original. The lead actors were really dynamite - I can't imagine that there are too many shows where Rebecca Luker is matched by those around her. The child actors were really good and the part of Mrs. Brill just about stole several scenes in the show. Overall, we were expecting a good show. We were happily surprised to attend a great one.

This was the second time my family and I have seen this play. This time was even better than the first. This play brings backs memories of when my children were 4 and 6 years old just starting to learn about Mary Poppins. I must have watch the movie over 2 dozen time with my children. The play was actually better than the movie. This play was funny but sad at times. I would highly recommend taking the entire family to see this play. You will have a great time.

What a great show! Don't expect the movie version, there was so much more here! The only criticism our group had was with the statues coming to life was a bit disturbing as with the toys coming to life. Otherwise it was a great evening!

The performance was simply amazing. Great constumes. Humor was perfectly timed. cast played their roles really well. meant for a more adult audience. If you have kids they might be scared of some scenes. the music was fantastic. overall a very solid experience.

We loved the whole experience. The acting was wonderful, the sets were amazing. This was my 7 year old and my 4 year olds first Broadway play experience and they were completely engaged from minute one!!! Different than the Disney version, in case anyone thinks it is a play by play of that movie, it is not. You won't be dissappointed though.

From our front row seats we were thoroughly engaged in the performance from the moment it began. Michael Banks tossed bird crumbs to us, and Bert smiled and winked at my god daughter, to her delight. All of the performers, including the children, were really talented and enjoying themselves. The dancing was excellent and the costumes superb.

The show was AMAZING! My husband has always wanted to see this and we finally decided to go since it is closing in March. We had to watch an impending snow storm the night before to make sure we could actually make it there. Very happy we made the decision to go. It was our first Broadway show, and we are extremely satisfied with our choice. For true Disney fans, this show did not disappoint and certainly made us cry and laugh and cheer. Simply amazing show, cast, choreography, score, sets, and atmosphere.

I saw this with my husband and two daughters, age 17 and 18. We all left smiling. This play is slightly different from the movie, but melds beautifully with it. The old favorite songs are there and a few new ones for good measure. You are never too old to see this-catch it before it's gone on March 3rd!

I have loved the Mary Popppins musical movie ever since I was a kid, and the Broadway musical is no exception. So bright and outstanding! Amazing choreography, music, actors, singers, dancers, love it all. It is very enjoyable for all ages; from kids to seniors. Sadly it is ending its Broadway performance March 3! Highly recommend to go see it before that date! Enjoy! :-)

The play followed the story of Mary Poppins and all of the characters lived up to their expected portrayal. Mary poppins, Burt, the children, the housekeeper, were all terriffic, as well as the Banks, and the housekeeper. Supporting actors and actresses were also good. The sets were perfect and subdued which I liked. Liked it better than the movie...It was supercalifragilisticexpialadocious!!!

This was one of the best musicals we've ever seen. We've been to a lot of Broadway shows and this ranks pretty much at the top of being just really fun and enjoyable. (Along with "In The Heights" and "Hair") Both acts were entertaining and never lagged or dragged. The cast was excellent and the set was the best I've ever seen. What they do with that stage and set pieces is remarkable. All the little "magic tricks" they do with Mary Poppins throughout the show is just pure fun. It puts other favored musicals to shame! This show by far has the best child musical actors I've seen on stage. Mary Poppins is a real winner! This is a must see! Plus, you can usually get tickets for about $50.

I took my mom to see the show on march 10 at 8pm and we have a great time at the show . we sit in the five row in orchestra and the cast did a great job . I met the cast after the show backstage door and they take a picture with me .

Took my wife to NYC as a surprise for her 40th Birthday. Had pre-booked Mary Poppins for the night of her Birthday after a day's shopping all over The City. Centre seats MEZZ , Row - AA, Start Seat 106, End Seat 107, dress circle as I would call it = perfect seats for viewing (not much knee room though!). Show was FANTASTIC!!! Great cast, perfect acting and singing with amazing set changes & some clever uses of space & lighting. Looked across at my wife often as she joined in with the song favourites, such an uplifting show. If you like Mary Poppins the film just a little bit and want an enjoyable, true to original (with stage poetic license e.g. statues instead of penguins), memorable experience on Broadway then see this show. Mary Poppins can really fly you know ;)

Mary Poppins is an all time childhood favorite for me. I bought my Mom tickets for Christmas & we were so excited about seeing this show. I was a little hesitant about how they would translate the movie to the Broadway adaptation. My hesitance was totally unfounded. This show was absolutely PHENOMENAL!! Of course, there is some variation from the movie - as with any Broadway adaption - BUT it is slight & the depiction is just AMAZING!! We had so much fun. It was MESMERIZING from beginning to end. I applauded so much my hands hurt ;). I would recommend that everyone & I mean EVERYONE take the time to see this show, you will not be disappointed. SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!!

This was indeed a fabulous show! A classic you have to see...bring the entire family...the kids will love it. The $150 donation after the show was well worth it too. You go back stage, meet the cast, get autographs and pictures and a close up tour of the props and scenes. I highly recommend everyone see Mary Poppins!

I find the Disney movie boring and it took me several times of falling asleep to actually finish the movie, but this Broadway show is AMAZING... It covers the rest of the books and not only the first one like the movie did! I didn't like certain parts so I'm not giving it 5 stars but the bottom line is that I would recommend this show to EVERYBODY :)

I have to say the play it's self was amazing all the characters were wonderful to watch. I must add the woman who played Mary Poppins part was a delight. She was so beautiful and had such a great smile she made you smile by just watching the show. This was my second time seeing and I would do it again and again. I ended my NYC trip on a high note by attending this Broadway show. I was pleased to have spent the extra money to sit in the seats i got. ($144 row DD seat 2-8). an incredible view of the entire stage. I would recommend it to everyone.

We bought these tickets as a birthday present for our 16 year old sons (we were lucky enough to get them on sale!!) and planned a whole day in NYC culminating in seeing Mary Poppins. We are all huge Disney fans, and were anticipating a great show, but nothing prepared us for what a wonderful production Mary Poppins is!!! The sets are mindblowing, special effects are absolutely mesmerizing. The story itself and the acting are top notch. Above all, though, the quality of the SINGING and the DANCING is beyond belief. You just sit in awe while watching so much talent on one stage. What a wonderful, wonderful experience!!! SO glad we were able to share this as a family - - memories of a lifetime!!!! :) FYI, we sat in the Mezzanine, center of row AA on the railing and row BB. I think being up higher gave us a better view of the whole stage and the entire sets than the people had who were sitting downstairs in the more expensive seats.

What a wonderful show! It does not matter how many times you have seen "Mary Poppins" before in other venues, this performance was spectacular! Mary and Bert were phenomenal in their roles. My only problem was that the children's voices were difficult to understand where we were sitting.

It was my grandkids first Broadway Show and they absolutely loved it. They loved the music the dancing and Burt walking on the walls and ceiling and Mary flying right in front and over them. My thanks to the Ticketmaster agent who gave me the heads up on the seating location. Great experience all around and to see the joy in the kids faces makes it all worthwhile!

I was a bit disappointed in the first act. I was not prepared for scenes being cut from the movie and new songs added. I enjoyed the second act much more. The cast did a spectacular job. Laura Michelle Kelly was "perfect in every way". Steppin Time was fantastic.

The Theatre itself is amazing - but the show beat it! The Story has changed a little and I missed the first trip with the pengiuns etc. And if you are not a native speaker, you'll hardly understand every single word. But you'll understand the story, cause you already know it from the movie.

I surprised my 4 yr old daughter with tickets to the show for her birthday! She was so excited! The theater provided cushions for the children which was really good for her. We sat first row balcony which in my opinion were the best seats because you could see everything! My heart was filled with so much joy as I watched my daughters face in awe when Mary appeared on the stage. My daughter knew all the songs and smiled from ear to ear when they sang Jolly Holiday (which is her favorite)!

I thoroughly enjoyed the show and I'm excited to see it again real soon. One of my childhood favorites and will continue to remain this way. The entire cast did an amazing job....they brought everything to life....and I was not only in the audience I too was a part of Cherry Lane.

Broadway's Mary Poppins was fantastic. We had traveled, saw tour version at the Dorothy Chandler in LA, and at the Kennedy Center in DC. Yet, seeing the show at the New Amsterdam was over the top! We brought friends who felt the same. Loved seeing our lovely Kelly dancing in the ensemble. The Banks' kids were particularly precocious. Bravo to the cast!

My Mom and I went together to see Mary Poppins, the show was great. The talent was amazing and the visual effects, lighting, and set were really something to see! it was magical!

i have always loved mary poppins, especially when i came to the country to become an au pair (i'm from brazil). i bought the movie, and the spectacle is slightly different with some more songs and extras. i LOVED it, like i actually knew i would. seeing mary poppins flying away in her umbrella made me feel like a kid again :) totally worth it!

Great for an afternoon with the kids. The play was fantastic and the music was wonderful. The show gets only 4 stars because of the venue. New Amsterdam needs some major overhauls. Specifically, they need additional access to the mezzazine level and additional bathrooms.

What an adventure - appealing to my 5 year old nephew and to my 82 year old Dad! The costumes, the set changes, the music, the lighting, the singing and most of all - the special effects - were all amazing! Dialogue was sometimes hard to hear & understand due to a combination of acoustics, volume of character, music in the background and British accents - but once you know the story, you can fill in whatever you miss! Would definitely recommend it for all ages!

I finally did it!! I went to my first Broadway Play and I brought my son and cousin to their first. I enjoyed it more than they did. They are 6 and 14 respectively. I smiled throughout the play and almost came to tears knowing Mary Poppins was leaving the kids at the end. I know it is only a play, but it is the same when I watch the dvd I've owned or when I watch it on television. It is a must see for anyone of any age. I will probably take my daughter who was supposed to go, but did not that day. The ushers were also awesome despite the fact that we were several minutes late. I plan on making Broadway Plays a monthly, if not weekly occurrence. I still can't believe that I did it.

Unless you have no child left in you, this show will touch your heart. The acting, singing, sets, and effects are all great. We did miss some of the Disney scenes, and some of the music was different from the movie, but the overall experience was well worth it. Our party ranged in age from 20 to 93, and we all came out singing!

The performances were wonderful. My favorites were the chimney sweep and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Definitely a must see. This was a birthday gift to my daughter that turned 19 and she loved it

I've asked my 5 year old what her favorite part was and she can't come up with ONE......she's got several and says, " I love all the parts!". She loved the Supercatchafra.....number, still trying to sing it! Loved Mary Poppins flying over the audience. Loved Chimchimeny numbers and EVerything about it. The only thing I didn't love was the steep steps in the upper section we were sitting in. I never thought of myself as afraid of heights BuT I just couldn't look at the stage while standing/walking down to my seat. Definately a great show for kids!!

It was truly a magical event! The singing was beautiful, the tap dancing was fantastic, and the special effects were awesome. My five-year old daughter was mesmorized. The songs brought me back to my childhood. And I am sure my daughter will remember this, too! Her face full of amazement and wonder - priceless!

Mary Poppins was wonderful and we liked the location of our seats. The only exception was the lack of any leg room. The theatre was beautiful and the stage was choreographed very well. The actors and performers did a wonderful job. Thank you for a enjoyable evening.

This musical was one of the most amazing performances I've seen on Broadway (Chicago, Hairspray & West Side Story so far). Been on March 22nd and the kids that performed that night were the best. Also of course Mary and Bert were awesome!! I recommend everyone tot visit Mary Poppins when visiting New York City.

What a wonderful afternoon my mother and I had seeing Mary Poppins! The matinee cast on St. Patrick's Day was fantastic; I was a little surprised at first that the play was a bit of a departure from the movie I adored as a child, but the new musical numbers that were added made it more of a Broadway show. The special effects were amazing; my mom and I are still wondering where Mary went when she flew up past us into the rafters!!! Definitely worth seeing by fans of all ages!

I took my daughter, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. They loved it and my daughter-in-law had never gone to anything like that before. Today she is hooked! She said she got on line to see what other things Gammage had to offer. My granddaughter said in the car "I wish Mary Poppins could come to my house so she could teach me to fly like that!"

What a great play! My three young daughters (ages 2,4,and 6) just LOVED it and were able to follow the storyline and sing along to all of their favorite songs from the movie. Their eyes (and mine!) grew wide with amazement when Mary Poppins flew out into the audience as she departed the set in the closing act.

We have seen this show twice so far and the second time was as good as the first. If you are looking for a great family activity this is it. My wife and sons were out of town this weekend so I took the opportunity to have a "Daddy Date" with our 9 year old daughter. Every seat is a good one and the atmosphere of the New Amsterdam is special. The only negative is when the mostly nude statues come to life and start to dance around. That is a little freaky and I'm glad we didn't have seats closer to the stage than we did. Other than that the performance gets a two thumbs up, way up!

This play was full of magic. The voices of the cast were amazing. I loved Mary Poppins voice. She was flawless in her performance. The dancing was beautiful........My granddaughter loved when the scene where all the chimney dancers were dancing and the one character danced on the ceiling.

As a grandmother to three little girls (8 and under) , I was delighted in watching their faces as they laughed and clapped during the show on Dec. 27th. We were fortunate to have front row seats in the mezzanine but they never sat back in their seats... their chins were always at the railing. You are always hesitant when purchasing tickets to a show, wondering what their reaction will be,but they absolutely loved Mary Poppins. What a great afternoon.
