Saw them in April at Webster Hall for the "Weapon" tour which covered a lot of the new album plus some hits. Really enjoyed that but this show was purely a greatest hits performance. Absolutely loved it!

Three of us drove from Phoenix, AZ, to see three bands we've been listening to for over 20 years all perform on the same stage. Was SO worth it. As I've heard horror stories about the "hip", snobby concert-goers in LA (not my words nor my experience), I must say this was not the case. The crowd, being quite a mix of ages from teens to fifty-year-olds, was amazingly polite and not "snobby" in the slightest. They danced near the stage and/or just enjoyed the show from seats. YOUTH CODE: Was not familiar with this band much, and we arrived in time to see their last two songs. My buddy was blown away and bought their CD immediately after their performance ceased. They were really GOOD and that girl has some anger and a voice perfect for the performance. HAUJOBB: Oh my God Haujobb was great (I've only seen Daniel live with Covenant and he really brings energy to his Haujobb show!). Hearing some classics and the new stuff live was a true treat for this fan. I need to see DSTR, now! FLA: Front Line Assembly took the cake for the best line-up (Delerium, Conjure One, and Fear Factory all on the same stage at once? YES!) and best choices of songs to perform. SKINNY PUPPY: Skinny Puppy, being the headliner, of course received the most time on stage and, as a fan that's seen them (and Ogre live solo) a few times, I must say this was their best performance I've seen in-person ever. Wow. The only downside is that the concluding song, "Assimilate", has been performed with Bill Leeb in past concerts, and for our finale of the tour Ogre had the lead singer of Youth Code come out to perform with him. Don't get me wrong: she's a lot easier on the eyes than Bill is, but it's not what I was looking forward to, as it seemed we were all just watching a 52 year old flirt with a 23 year old to industrial music. I would've much rather seen Bill, a former member of SP, rejoin his comrades for a classic song :)

Only complaint is I wish Haujobb would have opened (or not played at all) and more Youth Code. Haujobb just really didn't fit the lineup, and have to say the performance was mediocre at best. FLA, SP and Youth Code nailed it!

Skinny Puppy, need I say more? If you are into industrial music at all, you should know who this band is. If you don't know, find out. Skinny Puppy started making bizarre hard edge computer and synth based music when most of the black clothes and eyeliner set were waiting for the next Sisters of Mercy album to come out. I saw them tour off of their first few albums back in the day and the performances were always amazing freak shows. Well, they still got it. Last nights show brought out the freaks in droves, and we all were treated to new tracks and old favorites. And yes, OgRe still puts on an amazing crazy costumed show, but unlike the early days, he actually came out for the encores and talked to the crowd a bit, very cool. Go see this show.

Their set I felt was a little short, but beyond that they were absolutely phenomenal. I can just imagine what they would be able to do if they had a bigger budget to spend on performances. As it is, that's the best show I've ever been to at that size of a venue. Even better than GWAR in my opinion.

You never know what to expect at a Skinny Puppy show, and this one was no different. With such a large repertoire of songs to play, the band always manages to surprise me with the ones they do choose to play. They played an excellent mix of old and new stuff (new as in off of "Mythmaker") and Ogre's costumes and stage equipment were interesting and unique as always. I won't spoil it by saying what he wore or what his stageset was like, but it was definitely as good as, if not better than, their last stage set from their "Mythrus" tour. Less gore and blood, but still, an amazing show. I was the first person in line and had the perfect spot up front against the rail, and it was well worth waiting in line for five hours. If I had more cash, I'd follow them to every date, but this time could only afford to see them when they were close to me. But the show was excellent, the sound quality and songs played were first rate, and my only complaint is that the opening band "VVerevvolf Grehv" was boring. It was like one long guitar solo and it felt like it would never end. But no complaints about Skinny Puppy!! :) Go see them so that they make money and can keep surprising fans with tours!

Impressive show! Great stage set up and Nivek had awesome masks/costumes, visuals were done well, and on neat mateials, lighting was good as well. The set progressively got into their older and older material which is a good way to keep the excitement up. My only complaint is how early they played/ended!! (9-1030) I had friends that missed the show altogether b/c of this... it also felt like the show was over so quickly but considering they've been around for 26 yrs, I am not surprised! I could have watched them all night!!

These guys haven't missed a beat in the 25+ years they've been making music. I saw them in San Fran Sunday. It was a good show but the sound was a little off- too much bass. The Portland show was spot on perfect. They were engaged with the crowd, and played tunes from every part of their career except The Process. I can only hope that the show in Seattle on Wednesday is as good.

Well, I've not had a chance to see SP before, but a friend of mine and I are big fans, so nailed some tix and went last night (11/1/09) GREAT STUFF! The opening acts were.... Interesting... not my thing so much, but I guess they did ok for their genres... Kinda... but short sets that kept things mixed up, so all good there. Then SP came out and it hit the roof! GREAT Stage performance, presence, action, production... Cool costumes, fake blood, Awesome (if short) encore. Bottom line: If you are even SLIGHTLY thinking of going to this show, GET YOUR TICKET NOW! This was one of the best concerts I've seen all year.

Not an engaging experience for the audience unless you like singers that try to look like Klan members/aliens/wizards. The songs have been "updated" and are more danceable but really aren't as good as they used to be. Unfortunately, the video show doesn't go with what Skinny Puppy has historically been about and for some reason, they play videos of monster trucks. I've always wanted to go to see Skinny Puppy play as they've been on my playlist since the early 90s, but it's clear to me that their music and the experience of seeing them live is something that is passable.

I have been a long time fan of bands such as VNV Nation and Skinny Puppy, spending quite a bit of my youth at the Batcave in NYC when it was in business. I have not been to a show to see either band for a while so I purchased tickets when both were billed in one show. The morning of the show, I thought maybe I should request a refund when I realized VNV Nation backed out of the tour. I then figured I'll go and see the show anyway since the chances of me getting a refund are almost as good as hitting the Mega Millions. Upon arrival, there was a surprisingly large crowd waiting to see the alien dressed Pup perform his tunes. While lighting and atmosphere set the stage for what looked to be very entertaining, Skinny Puppy performed only ONE classic song, Smothered Hope to close the show! Are you kidding me? To pay almost $50 for a ticket to see one classic track? I'm sorry guys, but quite a few people were already gone before the end of the show expressing huge disappointment. You figured since VNV pulled out, they would put an EXTRA effort to entertain, aside from their outfits on stage. This did not happen! I understand the notion of performing new tracks to promote current albums, however, MIX IT UP a bit. What's the big deal? Hmm, I'm beginning to wonder just why VNV backed out? =p

Skinny Puppy was cinematical and danceable = great! Front Line Assembly had a nice concise set as well. Only saw four songs from Haujobb, but I'm not into the more recent material from him/them so not a huge loss. I know Youth Code (from having seen them a couple times before) killed it (from second hand accounts) and I wish I could have made it in time for them. Overall, great time. Great sound, nice room.

Haujobb and Front Line Assembly really stole the show as far as I'm concerned. The Skinny Puppy performance was really great and well polished, which one would expect given their veteran status within the genre. However, it appeared to be the same set and play list that I saw in February. That was cool, but I was hoping for some more obvious differences between the two shows. I really wanted more of Haujobb and FLA! I hope they tour together again soon!

This was a great show! Seeing Haujjob, FLA and Skinny Puppy all within the same show is a very unlikely scenario and as well worth it. Youth Code was fantastic as was Haujobb and FLA was great! Skinny Puppy's set was basically a repeat of last year's tour almost down to every song (except for the encore) so that was one disappointing element if you happened to see them last year. One major problem was how short the initial sets were. Youth Code only got about 20-30minas well as Haujobb. FLA was also a short set. The wait between Haujobb and FLA and FLA and Skinny Puppy were pretty long... Waiting for Skinny Puppy got to be almost intolerable. It's unfortunate that the first three sets were so short and the wait between the 3rd and headliner was so long. It would have been nice to hear more from any or all of the bands! For a two piece band, Youth Code puts a lot of energy and emotion into their very limited time. Their mix was amazing and I was very impressed by them. Haujobb was a surprising set. Their mix was equally amazing and Daniel Myer's playfulness and interaction with the crowd during their also very limited set was great fun and added a lot to the night! When FLA finally came on, their set was a sonic assault of bass and drums. Some of their subtle nuances were lost in the mix but, what a great show to see. Bill Leeb was just as happy to be there as everyone else and I have to tell ya, he's a funny dude when he wants to be! After a grueling wait, Skinny Puppy finally arrived. If you saw the Live Shapes for Arms tour last year, there is nothing new to see on this set. If you haven't seen it, then you can expect all the theatricality that accompanies a Puppy show, a great mix and a lot of depth with a varying range of tracks to hear. The setlist (though the same as last years) was fantastic... Mixing old with the new and less frequent tracks like Hexonxonx, The Choke, Smothered Hope and VX Gas Attack mixed with a lot of cuts from Weapon including the revamped Solvent. The talk was limited and the spectacles were many with Ogre going through various costume changes and interaction with the set pieces. His right leg was in a brace and towards the end of the night, seemed to be causing him a great deal of pain (at one point needing help off the stage) but he powered through the set without so much of a wince and played the whole set with an astounding encore to follow! The great thing about this show is that everyone was so happy to be there. FLA was just as excited to be touring with this lineup as the more unknown Youth Code was. The Boston crowd doesn't always seem to be as emotionally involved as other crowds so it's a challenge for a lot of these bands to perform as it is. Boston got just as involved as the bands and everyone had a great time. I preferred to see FLA other than VNV (though I did miss VNV) and hopefully this isn't the last of these types of shows!

The show was absolutely awesome. However, it seemed quite short. Only 1 song in the encore. It all ended by 9:30. I think there was another event at the venue starting at 10:00 and the band may have been rushed. Looking online at the set lists for other performances on this tour I am quite sure that ours was shorter. But still, they managed to play a great mix of new and classic songs and I really need to see them again. (Sadly, they did not play Grave Wisdom!)

It was the best night of music performed by Ogilvie, Bennett, and Crompton, all served on a platinum platter dripping in toxic waste, blood, and subconscious eye candy. Visually stunning to watch them perform. Ogre's costume and act was great in sync with the projected lights. Their music is timeless, played in new fashion made listening to them again amazing. The music was nonstop and energetic, my eyes were glued to their every move. On the other hand, Atlanta was aweful. The venue at The Loft sucked unless you were in the front row. The fans in Atlanta were selfish jerks. I would give 5 stars if not for Atlanta. If your concert is standing only, best to be on the side the big box is on. The show focuses in and by the box.

Opening scene: the record begins it's eerie spin of "Love In Vein," as a crippled, masked Ohgr creeps from the left corner of the stage clinching his stainless steel walker. Costumes were amazing as always and layers were shredded between song sets. I don't want to give too much away as it would not come close to doing justice. The only way I can explain it is I felt like I was someplace else in a different time and cEvin was taking all my requests. A really cool mixture gathered in Chicago and I think/hope left feeling as euphoric and nostalgic as me. A real ear ringing "greatest of" tours - DO NOT MISS THIS ONE. PS. Saw Skinny Puppy last night at the Ogden in Denver. I first saw Skinny Puppy in the 80s, when "Dig It" was relatively new! Ogre et al still rock the stage hard - the show was great. The sound was just right - loud, with great bass. It wasn't too loud, though, where you come out of the show with your ears ringing and hurting (think Ministry! Love 'em, they're just so frickin' loud live). Lights and video were interesting and entertaining. Good set up on the relatively small stage, too - they placed the keyboards especially well. Cameras and pictures were allowed, which was cool. Ogre's costumes were interesting, as usual - the Grand Dragon/KKK one was pretty out there.

I don't think there will ever be an industrial show that will top this one. Three icons of the genre - Haujobb, Front Line Assembly, and Skinny Puppy playing back to back. Honorable mention goes to Youth Code, although they really aren't my thing. Both Haujobb and FLA had very short sets, and I really would have liked more Haujobb, but it was still amazing to finally see both bands. But Skinny Puppy. I was absolutely blown away by their performance. This was the fourth time I've seen them (all from GWotR or more recent), and this was far and away the best I've seen. Ogre dominated the stage, playing songs from all of the various eras and just about every single album. The stage show was fantastic, and I ended up singing myself hoarse by the end of the night.

This show was everything I knew it would be....absolutely amazing. Anytime you get the opportunity to see the forefathers of the artform that you love-DON'T MISS IT! Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly were exactly flawless. Haujobb and Youth Code were also amazin opening acts.

We traveled from Florida to see Skinny Puppy and Frontline Assembly. I was pleasantly surprised by the venue. It was an awesome event in a great venue!

It was so worth the trip to St Louis to see these guys. Even the opener was good, and aside from a hiccup with the sound (which likely I am the only to notice thanks to my job as a stagehand) all was well.

This Skinny Puppy show was a must see though I must say that the 2 shows I saw in Ybor and Chicago earlier this year were better. Seems they are getting a bit tired and need a break. Nevertheless, if you can see any SP show, I would highly recommend it.

A rare treat seeing Front Line Assembly; hopefully they will return in the near future. It was great to actually see Ogre's face this time. The energy of the noise was awesome! The only downside was the opening act: not sure who they were though a seemingly neo-hitler song was not welcome and a surprise.

This was the first time seeing them since they were at metroplex. I had a great time & FLA was a great surprise since they were not on the original ticket! I was a little surprised the crowd wasn't more active & they were busy recording the show on their phones rather than enjoying the moment, but I had a blast!

The venue was absolutely perfect for this band given the open courtyard setting. Great interaction between the crowd and the band. Sound system put holes in your body it was so powerful. I am nearly 50 but I felt like I was 21 again and my 15 y/o Daughter who is also a Puppy fan called it the greatest time she'd had. The only disappointment was not hearing their greatest hit "Assimilate", which I understand probably didn't get played due to the time constraint. it was the Lyricists Birthday, so I think it was a special night for him too.

I attended the Dec 5 Skinny Puppy show. Audio for all four bands was excellent, the venue was clean with good access to bathrooms, food and drink. I had not heard Youth Code before, and I was impressed enough to buy an album. Front Line Assembly and Haujobb played well, and the Skinny Puppy show was - of course - unforgettable.

The show was amazing! First time I got to see Skinny Puppy and they didn't disappoint. The stage show that they had going was insane! After the show I felt like I was on acid or something. It was just pure art. If anyone hasn't seen them by now, I recommend going ASAP before they split like all the other great bands have done.

These guys never fail to blow my mind/tickle my third eye. The world keeps trying to sear it shut and they pry it open. ohGr has one amazing stage presence and he emerged looking like a cross between a geriatric, a KKK member/Inquisition judge, and the skeleton from Bosch's "Death and the Miser". ohGr sends up a semiotic smoke screen and cevin Key keeps our heads ringing! I love these guys.

Last time I saw them in Nokia they blew my mind and inspired me to run home and write music. This time not so much. The sound was way off and the vocals were missing the proper FX. They chose to many songs that just droned on with no form and the over all show had no energy..

Without boring you with details, I would like to say that Skinny Puppy's theatrics, sound and set list were among the top 3 shows of 2009. Flawless. This rating is not a joke, as I have attended somewhere around 50 concerts this year. Please attempt to see this band on this tour, they are getting older and surely will not be around forever. The fact it was held in the comfort and acoustics of the extremely under utilized Nokia Theatre only enhanced the experience. Thanks for caring.

What can i say Skinny Puppy just keeps getting better as technology advances. The sound was not as outstanding as durring the Mythmaker tour but i have never heard River's End sound so good! Ohgr was on point as usual, visuals were good, and cEvin is a genius! Lights let something to be desired but overall the show was fantastic can't wait for the new album

This show was so crazy! All the lights and sounds plus Ogre's unforgettable stage presence and overall performance. Everytime I see them I am never let down until the show is over. I was rolling so hard and there was sexy girls in short skirts dancing with me. It really makes the time I waited for their return to Cleveland all worth it. GO SEE THEM!!

With the knowledge that Skinny Puppy has had a true following of fans for decades and with myself never being to one of their shows-I now know why they have such a devoted fan base. It was incredible, in a word. The music overall and especially percussion, the light show and for sure Ogre's costumes. Their music stands for what many believe in, as well as myself. When my 16 year old son wanted to go, I was a skeptical parent. But I have now found myself wondering and looking to see when they will tour again in the Cleveland area. Thanks Skinny Puppy and HoB for a great night.

Wonderful show! I think it started off a bit slow but after the first two songs everyone was really into it. About 20 years later and Skinny Puppy is still going strong. I took my boyfriend who isn't even that big of a Skinny Puppy fan and he had an absolute blast. You need to see them perform at least once in your life!

The concert was fantastic. Ogre as always was wearing some weird costume and one could not see his face till the encore. Skinny Puppy is so unique that it's hard to describe them but one thing for sure, they can take the audience on some surrealistic trip.

Skinny Puppy has another great concert tour they are pulling off. For some reason SP likes (or their managers like) to pair them with lame opening acts (with the exception of Godflesh and Thought Industry long ago). I cannot tell you how many puppy shows I have seen and the opening act is such unrefined junk you want to gouge your ears out. VvereVVolf Grehv is another such opening act consisting of a guy with a laptop and electric guitar, playing every damn note known to humankind in a blistering cacophony of brain boring chaos. I seriously think this guy is probably the worse guitarist I have even listened to as well as an aweful midi programmer (I have done both for well over 20 years). I wanted the ground to open up and swallow this guy whole. The opening act is about 30 mins long (thank golly) and SP is about 90mins.
