Here Come the Mummies

HCTM was a brilliant show in a fantastic venue. Recommend seeing them if you ever get chance!

Great music and super entertaining show. The fact that some of them came out and signed autographs after the show was a great touch.

If Kool and the Gang were 5000 years old, they'd be the Mummies. This show entertained from start to finish. Supremely talented musicianship and tongue-in-cheek song writing make this a show not to miss. We had no earthly idea what to really expect and it turns out they are not of this earth! Show was great from the back of house entry to the very end. We'll be back!

This was a show of shows. The guys in gauze know how to put on a crowd-pleaser unlike anything else. Non-stop up-tempo funk rock at its best. Many a smooth segue from one song to the next. As this was their first Columbus show I hope they were pleased with our great music fan audience knowing all the material. If you missed this show don't miss them the next time they come to town.

There's no way 5 stars can possibly cover how unbelievably amazing it is to spend an evening with Here Come the Mummies. Brilliantly funny, somewhat insane, just dirty enough to make you feel a little naughty for loving them so much and all presented by one of the hardest working groups of musicians I have ever seen. They give 100% and they give it 100% of the time. The horn section is so tight it makes you want to scream "Owwww" throughout the concert and afterward these guys offer up mummy hugs in the lobby. You can tell these mummies truly love their undead life and their joy and exuberance is contagious. If you haven't seen them, you are in a serious state of deprivation....get out there and get mummied.

This was by far the best live show I have ever seen. Hands down these guys put on an unforgettable show. If their music does not make you happy and put a smile on your face, you need to check your pulse.

Here Come the Mummies has an awesome, funky sound that is enriched by brass - trumpets and saxophones - and lots of percussion. In addition, their vocals are an awesome blend of harmonies. The Mummies are so much fun to listen to! Their songs are quite interesting and you just want to hear them more. I would definitely recommend seeing them in concert to appreciate their amazing talent. Note: There are a few songs that are more "adult" in nature. Only negative thing about it was the venue - not much seating so we stood the whole time.

The Mummies, of course, are a great act to see live. But the real treat was the young, hip band out of Nashville - Space Capone. If you think Nashville music is only country twang and sentimental slop, then you need to see this band. They are the real deal - high energy, superb musicianship, funk and soul and jazz...you will be hearing much more from them, no doubt. If you like to dance and groove, see them any chance you can.

Bottom line, the Mummies are great! The Vogue was completely over sold. It was to crowed to enjoy the show. Way to crowed to even go get another drink. If it was advertised that a different band was going on first, we would have waited the hour in a bar instead of standing listening to that crap. So..... Vogue=Yuk....Mummies=AWSOME

Here Come the Mummies always put on a great live show. Their music is tight, the sound is great, the stage show is even better. If like their music, but have never seen them live, you are missing at least half of the fun. And if you've never heard the, you are missing out on all of the fun. They are a hilarious and extremely talented funk band. Do not miss them if they are anywhere close to you!

I've seen the Mummies 3 times this year and each time they are fantastic and a must see.

This show was totally worth the $30. Feast for sight and sound. Danced my ass off. Ears are still ringing. Blaring horns and tattered mummies everywhere. Would definitely do it again.

This is the best live music show I have ever seen in my life. Unbelievable, unique, professional and completely on the money with musicianship and showmanship. Why aren't these guys national stars??? WOW.

It was the first time seeing the Mummies live. What a fantastic group of musicians and performers. The music was non stop for almost two full hours. Their sound engineer did a wonderful job. The clarity of all the instruments and vocals was excellent. Not the usual low end muddy drone of bass and kick drum like the opening band. We brought somewhat skeptical friends with us. By the end of the night they purchased every one of their CD's. That is saying something these days. We will be back again and again. Keep up the great work!!

These mummies are good!! I would recommend this show to anyone who enjoys Rock and Roll and likes horns. Great show. Aarrrgghhhh!

Outstanding show. This group is a "must see"!!!!!!

As always another awesome Mummies show, so good infact that I plan to see the Toledo show on Thursday June 9th. If you never saw the mummies and your thinking about it...stop thinking and get your tickets. BTW, Bring your camera and take a photo with any of the Mummies after the show.

This is the fourth time I have seen HCTM and it is always a fantastic show. They do amazingly long sets with no breaks. And they even do multiple-song encores. Everything flowed together (one song into the next) a little more effortlessly than previous shows I've seen. And they didn't do "Believe in Things" as their opener, which had always been my experience. Not a judgement, as I understand it probably gets boring for them, just an observation. They obviously love what they do and that comes across to the audience. You CAN'T not have a good time at a Mummies show. If you don't have a good time, you must really be trying to be unhappy.

I attended the Here Come The Mummies concert with 4 of my best friends. We had a great time. The Mummies were awesome and they put on a great 2 hour show, non-stop! The St. Louis Pageant Theatre was perfect for the event. Only suggestion is when the tickets says 'general admission' be sure to arrive early so you can get a seat together.

If you have not seen Here Come The Mummies, you need to add it to your bucket list. These guys rock for a solid 90 minutes. If they come to a venue near you, you need to be there. CAN I HAVE SOME BOOTY, CAN I HAVE SOME SWEETNESS...............

Show was great. I love that the Mummies are playing bigger venues. The crowd on the other hand was not so great. The crowd is much much different now than what it was approximately 2+ years ago. The first time I saw these guys play was at The Patio in Broad Ripple many years ago with a young and vivacious crowd. I've probably seen 30+ shows. The crowd at this event is a much older group of people that do not seem to have any type of concert etiquette; pushing and shoving and being rude appear to be the norm. The crowd is most likely older due to the Bob & Tom exposure. Very dissappointed that we had to wait 2+ hours after the doors opened for the show to begin. It would have been nice to at least have an opener.

There are a lot of great live acts out there, but few come close to the experience of a "Here Come The Mummies" show. Incredibly tight playing, powerful horn section, pounding percussion, and some of the best funk and R&B around. It's impossible not to grin and sing along at their shows, and their rabid fans demonstrate this at every performance that I've attended, this one included. Hearing them on "The Bob & Tom Show" is entertaining, watching them and 600 fans sing "Pants" is something to behold. If they come to a venue near you go out and get tickets, you'll love it!

You can't beat Halloween weekend with the Mummies...unless it's New Year's Eve at the Egyptian Room with the Mummies (already got our VIP tickets!). Friday night they did a lot of their recently-released CD, (which we could tell some attendees weren't familiar with) but they did all their "hits" & had the crowd in a frenzy all evening. For those of us who'd listened a lot to the new release, "Carnal Carnival", it was the "greatest show on Earth"! There were so many fantastic moments, it's hard to single out just a few, but the lead trumpet player (Testa Verde) climbing onto the bar for a solo is always great; "Attack Of The Weiner Man" & "Pants" always bring down the house, plus Oozie & Java doing a baton-passing routine with their giant "Freak Flags" (during new song "Let Your Freak Flag Fly") is sure to be a mainstay in their set...as long as it's not a windy outdoor show! Here Come The Mummies are WORLD-CLASS musicians, next time they're around be sure to catch their act, the energy they expend is, in itself, something to witness, & the songs are some of the most-memorable/funny you'll ever hear. Do yourself a favor & pick up their DVD "Undead Live" from their web site for a hilarious introduction to The Mummies, before they COME to haunt a town near you!

These guys never fail to deliver!! Seen them 92 times and have NO plans to stop!!

Very entertaining , the showmanship was outrageous, marvelous costumes, witty lyrics, high energy performance, would definitely go see again and highly recommend seeing them, you won't be disappointed.

Being a "Mummies Virgin" was not sure what to expect but I figured what the heck the tickets were only $20. Well have to say it was the best $20 I ever spent and would spent more to see them again. I never had this much fun at a concert. What great musicians. The horn section was one of the best. They had everyone dancing in the aisles. They were so engaging for the whole audience. Wish they played more in this area. Will be on the look out for when they return.

These guys are just awesome every time I see them. Even with new members revolving around the core group, they are tight.

This was the 4th time I have seen this group and they never fail to impress. I wish more people knew their music. It is definitely what I would call Latin Funk. They are the most talented musicians you could ask for. They show was incredible. Lots of good energy in their music. It will get you on your feet the minute they parade into the concert hall. I would recommend to anyone if you get the chance go see them. You will be hooked!

What a great night. I have never been to a concert where the band had so much energy and seemed to have so much fun. Can't wait to see them again.

Their energy is always great i freaking love them.

First, the theater: There are NO bad seats in the Embassy Theater. Don't pay a premium if you don't have to--visibility and sound are great everywhere. Second: the band. From their very dramatic entrance to their closing number, Here Come the Mummies rocked their bandage-bound asses off with their original funk-rock music. The professionalism was as high as I have ever seen in nearly 50 years of concert attendance. Not only was the music tight and ambitious, the showmanship was unparalleled. The best compliment a band can receive (and I say this as a performing musician) is that, to the audience, the show appeared tailored for that one audience, and as if the band was really having fun. Because they come out in full mummy regalia, you know they are not taking themselves too seriously, although they could given the caliber of their musicianship. The songs are original and irreverant.I don't know whom to credit for the light show (the band or the theater), but it, too, was tightly choreographed and fit the rhythm changes perfectly. I saw Tom Petty this year, and this show stands on par with that in terms of musicianship and professionalism. Don't miss this band!

These guys are phenomenal! Not only great musicians, but great showmen as well. They put on the best most entertaining show, and then back it up with funky, toe-tapping, danceable funk music that is as good as anything you'll hear on the radio. If you ever get the chance, DO NOT MISS HERE COME THE MUMMIES!!!

Was in St. Louis for business and looked up live music a couple months ago. Found HCTM and started listening. As a musician, I could instantly tell these guys were the real deal! Couldn't wait to see them! Saw them on October 19th and they were one of the richest bands I've ever seen. Horns were killer and the entertainment factors was through the roof!! I've already told many if my musician friends about them and everybody us amazed at these guys. I would easily see them again and again. HCTM rocks!!!

Had a total blast at the House of Blues in Cleveland to see Here Come The Mummies!

Super fun 70s funk in costumes. Makes you want to dance. The lyrics are so clever. Their talent is unmateched.

A friend introduced me to the Mummies recently and suggested we go to see them at the Birchmier in Alexandria VA. . I first went to the internet to see what and who these guys were and hear their music. I was intrigued and found it entertaining enough to want to see them.. THE SHOW BLEW ME AWAY! THEY WERE FANTASTIC. To start, these guys are seriously good musicians. They know their instruments! Superb vocals and entertaining songs. Their energy level made me tired just watching them as the moved around the stage and into the audience. Sooo entertaining to say the least. The band rolled from song to song without even a hiccup. This lasted the entire show which seemed to go by too quickly. As for the venue (The Birchmier)...great sound and lighting, The Birchmier wait staff is super good too. Having seen the Mummies on YouTube originally, I wondered how they would be able to pull off their shenanigans in a more intimate venue like the Birchmier.. The Mummies did not disappoint! The sound and lighting techs were really on their game too. Great sound and lighting effects. A+++++++++

Great music! Especially the brass section. Makes you want to move around! The dancing Mummies were energetic, fun, cool. Not too much else happening on the stage. They rocked the house. The energy level is so high that I was tired after the show. 20 song set. You get your money's worth.

My first time seeing the boys in bandages in Texas and they were fantastic! I have caught them several times in the midwest over the years and they always put ona terrific show. The costumes and some of the lyrics may come off a bit corny but these guys know how to play! Catch them any chance you get, you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I got tickets to see Here Come the Mummies with our free ticketmaster vouchers. We honestly had never heard of them before and decided to check it out on a whim. We are so glad we did! We had a great time, The mummies are all incredible musicians and we had so much fun dancing! It was our first mummy concert, but it will not be the last. They have two new fans in us!

I know it sounds strange, guys dressed up in a band, but don't miss their show. It's addicting!

The culture room has a really cool set up for bands. I really liked it. I had never seen Here Come the Mummies before and it was a really great pleasant surprise. They are a good quality band with real musical talent. I would definitely recommend them!

Awesome night. Some of the mummies were not there but it did not really matter or you could not tell the difference. they were so full of energy that there was never a dull moment. Would recommend to anyone that likes to have a fun time.

This is quite possibly the most talent loaded band I've ever seen! These guys are so tight and exude so much raw energy on stage. These guys are so talented and entertaining. No one was sitting in there seats the whole time. The Mummies played for almost 2 hours straight with a lot of entertaining songs and solos by each of the members. They can play! Audience participation is a must! With all the high energy of the band, jumping and running all over, you can't sit still.

HCTM were amazing as always. The best horns and sax I have ever heard. The energy in the place is always high the whole time, nonstop! An experience everyone who likes live music should have at least once, then you will be hooked just like me.

The best, most absurd, wonderful band out there! Maximum energy and they give it their all the entire show. If you haven't seen this band, do so. Funk has never been so much fun.

My hubby introduced me to these 'creature features' after hearing them on a morning radio station. I'm not a real fan of talk radio, but I'm a "freak" about talented music/ians so he encouraged me to listen to a couple songs; I was immediately hooked. I didn't think it could possibly get any better than the snippets I'd seen, but man-oh-man was I wrong. From their grand entrance into the theater (through all the fans and providing high fives along the way) to their encore performance - my booty didn't sit down. I love that their personalities shine through in their dance and music and that their fun and high energy is just as infectious throughout the audience. They are incredibly creative and their musical abilities, in my opinion, untouchable. I am a fan for life!

Energetic and fun with incredibly gifted and talented musicians. A funk jazz genre that all music lovers will enjoy.

My fiancé and I are 31 and 23 respectively. I had never heard of either band/DJ and we agree it was the best concert we have gone to. The musicians are not only making upbeat music but energy in the room with their crazy dancing. If you like to move this is an awesome venue and band to see.

If you like a great show, it's the Mummies. If you like a great horn section, it's the Mummies. If you are into outstanding purcusion, the Mummies have two who are fun to watch. The four part vocals and guitar work are excellant. But the show is just over the top. These musicans put on one of the most high energy fun shows to watch I have seen. They move constantly with routines that make each song a unique experience.

TOP-NOTCH performers playing Funky, Groovin' Tunes that are ALL HITS! It is an honor to see all of these talented musicians on one stage having FUN! They will be performing on a 4-night cruise from Ft. Lauderdale in January 2012 playing EVERY SONG they've ever written. No other band comes close!

The music was fantastic, and the showmanship of the Mummies was unrivaled - they had such great energy throughout the entire concert! I've seen several great shows over the years, and this was easily the most fun show I've ever attended.

We drove up from Chattanooga, TN to catch up with some friends and family at the "Mummies" show and all everyone can say is "Funky" to the max. If you didn't make the show or haven't caught a Mummies show you are missing out on some of the tightest music and lyrics being put out nowadays. Don't miss out of this great group of guy's...

Here Come the Mummies are exhilarating and entertaining. They put so much effort into their performances. I saw them live on television and that was what got me hooked. A bunch of mummies playing funk. I brought along my boyfriend and a close friend and they both only knew the basics about the band, and they still had an amazing time. They thought the snow was hilarious. And that's just it, it wasn't just music, it was a show. They are incredibly fun to watch.

Everyone said this band was great live, and they certainly did not disappoint! They are my favorite band, the energy, musical expertise, humor and playing 110 minutes non stop is what makes them stand out from the rest!

Non-stop high energy the whole night. Fantastic set list- with a great mixture of songs from a lot of their albums and EPs. Space in front of the stage for an up close experience with these excellent musicians. The energy from Here Come the Mummies sparked the energy of the audience and bounced it right back at the band! Please bring them back!

This was our 4th time to see them and we were nervous because we heard the theater was all seats and how could we see the Mummies without dancing?!! But, thankfully they had a dance floor right in front of the stage! The band played some of their best older stuff and some newer- which were all fantastic!! We wished they played closer to us in N.J. more often.

Although, this band is relatively unknown in Florida, they are a HUGE talent. They are tremendously undervalued at $20 a ticket. If you have never seen them live, do yourself a favor

The Mummies were on their game, as usual. They are not only excellent musicians, they are great showmen. if I had to sum up the performance in one word, it would be"fun"! They just make you want to jump and shout because they are so good.

This is our 5th time seeing HCTM at the Pagent. We love their show and their music! They always put on a great show. Just wish The Pagent would drop the opening act or find something worth sitting there for. The opening act has been very bad all 5 times. Still love The Mummies!

This was my 3rd time in a year watching this band and each time it's an amazing experience. The 2nd and 3rd time I took friends/family who had never heard them before and they all said they loved the band and are now fans. The Mummies go directly into the next song with no delays during the entire performance. You gotta see the "cow bell" part of the show as well........good times! Someday I hope they play the song "never grow old"....one of my favorites

HCTM always put on a great show. They are energetic, entertaining and amazing musicians. The shows are always a little different with the mix of songs they play. I have seen them around 8-10 times and will go back because they are that good! Their songs are fun and it is always a party!

ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS WE'VE SEEN IN YEARS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. WE WILL SEE AGAIN SOON.
