The show as a whole was amazing. The performers were all excellent. The music was uplifting & had my entire family moving & grooving But Richie Valens stole the show with his La Bamba performance. The actor also played a few other parts & he did not disappoint.

The band was energetic and just awesome live. You could tell that the crowd in Ojai was filled with friends/family of the band and that was truly the atmosphere at this small venue. New music they played was as good, maybe better, than the old stuff we were so nostalgic to hear! :) We will very certainly be keeping an eye out for any concerts they do locally in the future. Renewed super fans here!

At one point, Gonzaga was ahead by 19 points and then almost threw it away. Tennessee took the lead for a lot of the second half but Gonzaga rallied! Go Zags!

Johnny Legs is AMAZING! Always has been and always will be! The specialty drink (Professor Lequizamo) was fantastic with the keepsake mixing containers. Great venue as well with the intimate setting. Every seat felt like you were right there.

This was the fourth time to see Franz Ferdinand in a year and it was the best. Every time I saw them it was in a progressively bigger room, with the Wiltern being the biggest. The crowd was awesome and the band fed off it putting on an amazing show, outshining the other three performances and giving me the most memorable experience.

It's so worth the $25-$30 to see these guys. Evan Dando plays a mixture of familar songs off It's A Shame About Ray and Come on Feel as well as some solo stuff and excellent covers found off Favorite Spanish Dishes and Car Button Cloth. Just him and his electric guitar. The only negative about his set is that it's 30-40 minutes long when this guy should be the headliner. He's absolutely amazing live and this is probably one of his best tour performances in a few years from what I hear. Soul Asylum plays all their singles & hits as long as some new stuff and exude so much energy you can't not be entertained watching them. They still sound great and Dave Pirner seems happy to be up there and engages with the audience a lot. Overall this show was a fantastic surprise and one of the best I've seen this year or in any recent years! Don't hesitate to see either bands whether on this tour or another later. Didn't stay for Fountains of Wayne but certainly worth the ticket price to see these other two legends if you're a big music fan or just want to relive your 90s teen years for a couple of hours.

Royale is a smaller venue with a lot of charm. Never had to wait in a long line for the bathroom or bar which is always a bonus. There's a coat check ($3) which is a nice feature for the cooler months. There are couches and tables on the sides of the venue as well as an upstairs with seating and balcony area. The crowd for M Ward was fun and respectful - no pushing, minimal talking between and during songs etc. Much better overall experience versus The House of Blues (or the House of Rules as we like to call it) We would definitely see another show at The Royale. M Ward put on an amazing show full of energy and gratitude for his fans. Such a true performer with a one-of-a-kind voice.

Fortunately, I read several of the recent reviews prior to attending the show. So I had an idea what to expect. If your goal is to see an icon perform in an intimate environment, go. If your expectation is to see Mr. Berry perform like he did 50-60 years ago, don't go. The slower blues songs stood out performance-wise. The crowd singing along with the favorites helped make the faster paced songs more enjoyable. The band does a nice job supplementing Mr. Berry's playing. His daughter is a very good singer and harmonica player and has a good sense when her dad needs her vocal and harmonica skills. Opening cover band was pretty good.
