This was the first ballet I have attended by Orlando Ballet and I could not have been more pleased. My five-year-old and I both enjoyed the costumes, set design, and excellent production. Facilities were nice, easy to find our seats, professional staff. We can't wait to see The Nutcracker in December.

This was my first time in years going to a ballet and my husband's first time. It did not disappoint. The Orlando Ballet's performance of The Nutcracker was incredible. From the very young children dancers to the adults the dancing was flawless. The live orchestra was one of the best parts of the performance. The musicians were incredible and didn't miss a note. I had heard in the past that there was just going to be a recording so I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and there was a live orchestra. I would definitely recommend this performance to anyone. It is a major event though so act and dress accordingly. There were limos and people in suits/cocktail dresses everywhere. It was a great date night for my husband and I around the holidays.

I am able to compare this company with the Royal Ballet and English National Ballet amongst others. While not as good as the Royal Ballet (what is?) I consider them better than the English National Ballet and most provincial ballet companies. They are world class and I always try to see them when in central Florida although I live in London and have plenty of opportunities to go to the ballet. Cinderella was a wonderful performance with first class dancing and choreography. Highly recommended.

My family and I attended the Cinderella show on Saturday and we had another great day as a family! Cinderella is my daughter's favorite princess and she was in awe of the whole production!! I am not a ballet lover. I bought this by mistake thinking it was for the broadway opera Carmen, and turn out to be a ballet. For a ballet is was enjoyable. The second half was a lot more entertaining than the first. I did enjoy watching like I said but would not repeat it. Not something I loved. I you are a ballet lover then I would recommend watching this then for a first time

My wife and I traveled to Orlando for a weekend getaway, and as part of it we planned to see the show. We had read good reviews from the company on the web. To our surprise and disappointment when we sat down in our seats we realized that the orchestra pit was empty! I would have expected that a presentation by a professional ballet company would have had a live orchestra as part of the show. For a moment we even thought that somehow the orchestra was backstage somewhere. Unfortunately this was not the case, and the performance was to recorded music. The lead ballerina Areum Chung did OK, but the quality of the rest of the dancers was regular.

Overall the ballet wasnt bad. As a former dancer there were just a few things that were hard to get passed. For example, they were not together during the most of the performance, the lifts were labored and awkward, and some of the scenes were odd and choppy. In addition, i was surprised at the length (it was only an hour). The time frame was a little short. Overall it was a nice mid day event. I would see another ballet that they had a little more time to work on.

A wonderful piece of entertainment!! Very talented dancers/athletes who seemed to enjoy their part. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very imaginative choreography and simple sets. It was a shame more tickets weren't sold for the matinee, but are balcony seats were exchanged for very nice seats in ORCRGT.

This was a beautiful rendition of the Romeo and Juliet story! I was particularly impressed by Arcadian Broad, who played Mercutio. He had so much character, and his dancing was so energetic - a total pleasure to watch!! The show wasn't as good after he died, but it was still an overall great performance! The partner dances between Romeo and Juliet were very elegant and moving.

We attended the matinee and final performance for Romeo & Juliet and were thoroughly entertained and amazed. Entertained by the liveliness of the ensemble of dancers in the village and by the moving fluid performances of the lead dancers who brought their talent in dance and their personalities to act the story. Amazed by the physicality of the dancers especially in the scenes involving lifting and leaping. Artistic Director, Robert Hill's interpretation of this beautiful, tragic story in dance was refreshing!

OUTSTANDING. Minimal scenery, magnificent costumes, terrific dance. Friday principals Romeo and Juliet were great. Performance was stolen, however, by magnetic energetic performance of A. Broad. Have avoided Orlando Ballet last several years. Director Hill was stuck on pathetic performances, e.g., Battle of Sex I and II and III, silly Halloween staging, among others. I feared what Hill might do with Prokofiev, however, he did it proud!!!! Next up is Carmen. We will give that a try too.

Loved the show, didn't like the video which gave away music and visuals. Wished more of the choir was from the balcony. Missed the "roasting swan" dance of years ago. And they really have to change the parking plan - have the cars enter at the FAR end of the lot rather than have them back up for 3 blocks at the entrance to Bob Carr!

This was an epic experience - the combination of the Orlando Ballet, Winter Park Bach Festival Choir & Orchestra, and soloists. There is no substitute for live music and live dance. Carmina Burana is often performed as a concert only, but this presentation demonstrated the need to include dance. Congratulations to all involved. Hope to see another collaboration soon.

I attended Saturday evening up close, left side. The soloists were load and clear for a wonderful performance. Sunday afternoon, I sat in the balcony with a better view of the dancers. The soloists were a little harder to here, but the chorus and orchestra music was good. Better value for price.

Well performed show but it was ruined by the constant talking between two children and their mothers. When asked to please be quite for the consideration of others, they ignored us. Venue staff would not remove them or ask them to move.

Commanding sound with the Bach Festival Choir and Orchestra. The soft (childrens) voices from the audience added to the sensation creating a spiritual "surround sound". The soloist's were each in themselves chilling and perfect to the entire production. The ballet was transcendent. Dancers got to shine and showcase their talent in wonderful ways. Costumes were befitting this production. Hearing this is Latin was very compelling. Brava and Bravo to the entire production of Carmina Burana.

If that would have been a highschool performance it would have been ok. But whoever calls this real ballet obviously has no idea. There was no orchestra, the stage looked like a movie screen and the dancers were less than mediocre, not synchronized & the show was only an hour long........A complete Joke.. If they pay me for this show- I wouldn't go! What a waste of time!!!! If you've been to a Kirov balett before or have seen performances in Europe before- you'll know what I'm talking about! Even the NYC city ballet seems like a top ballet compared to this one...... My 9 year old daughter was NOT amused..... This was a classless " family event"... Thank God I didn't pay more money for it- however , 70$ for 2 persons for this crap was way too much! But at least I know now never to go there again for any other show.

What a terrific show! Apparently Cirque Du Soleil and the Orlando Ballet have done three of these, we have been to the last two (including this one). Truly wish that they would record these performances on DVD, even if they only sell them at the Orlando Ballet and they are the only ones to receive the profits. Wouuld love to be able to watch them over and over again. Not only are the performers terrific, but having all those different components and shows all under one roof is just wonderful. You truly get a taste of so many different styles of artistic ability.

It was a good performance. It seemed a little bland in the first couple performances, the dancing was great, just could have used a little more "flare" or color in wardrobe, could have made a bigger impact. But I'm no expert on ballets though. I think the combonation of the Cirque performers with the ballet dancers was amazing! Very good! Would love to come to another performance with Ballet/Cirque combined! Price range was affordable for everyone. Keep ticket prices lower, more guests will come.

The combination of clown gags, circus performances, and ballet dances turned out to be very successful. I like everything there: performers, music, choreography... I regret that I did not go to this Showcase last year. There is possibility that I like it so much, because I'm Russian, and ballet and circus are our things :) But the wild enthusiasm and excitement of other spectators tells that I'm not alone in my opinion. I recommend everybody to attend this performance.

Great show, only 90 minutes long but laughed and had a nice time. The theater is small so all seats no matter where you sit are good! Drinks are expensive but if you want a nice cocktail they are available. I would love to go back and see both a try Orlando Ballet performance and a Cirque Du Soleil performance, this was a nice combination and the artists worked very hard! Some adult references would recommend for smaller children under 16.

This performance was a masterfully choreographed concert. I was entertained from the very first number to the very last. Guest choreographer Peter Chu was magnificent. However, the highlight for me was Arcadian Broad. This extremely talented 16 year old gave me chills. He choreographed, he played the piano and he performed. WOW!!!!! Watch out dance world, here he comes.

Four of us attended the Saturday night show; three of the attendees were out of town guests. We LOVED the beautiful display of dance, acrobatics, athleticism, and skill. Because all of us are over 60, we especially enjoyed the use of familiar melodies such as "Singin' in the Rain," "Cabaret," " Love Story," "Diamonds are Forever." The James Bond number was also a hit. We all felt that a couple of the pieces sort of went on too long; enjoyable, but just too long and a little hard to understand. Perhaps we are a little on the unsophisticated side. The more traditional ballet numbers were absolutely stunning. We also thought it would have been nice to have something between the acts - perhaps a movie "trailer" to let us know what was coming up or even the name of the movie. We also wish they would have done a full, and more spectacular dance to Hooray for Hollywood - such an iconic end to the show - it deserved more flamboyance. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the show and know that our "suggestions" are not criticism - just observations. Thank you so much for a wonderful, memorable evening.
