If you like the big band era, the Andrew Sisters, nostalgic war songs, etc. then this is for you. The dancing and singing was top notch and the show included a military salute to military in the audience. The brass in the band, the pianist, the percussionist were all very impressive My husband and I loved this show!

It isn`t often we get this style of music around here. I was really suprised when we saw it was coming.I liked the way they connected the song into a story of those times. I grew up listening to my mom`s recordings on the original wax.

The band was excellent and was able to recreate the sounds of the major bands of the "big band" era. The six dancers and singers were also able to set the stage for the era and brought back memories of those times. All in all I enjoyed the show, both the excellent music and the dance routines.

The performance was excellent and the actors were fabulous! I took my Mom who is 93 and I enjoyed it just as much as she did. The songs were so memorable to her and I was amazed how well the performers danced-the little blonde has more energy than all of us-her facial expressions were so great! I was so touched how you recognized all our military service members in the audience-without them we would not have our country. Thanks for your continued excellent shows at the Cobb Energy Center! Tool my 90 year old Mom and the show delivered exactly as expected. Nice to hear that big band sound and go back in time. With half the seats unfilled though it was disappointing to me that it wasn't promoted more. The very best part was to see a show where they showed regard for our service men and our country. At a time when the entertainment world is so liberal and all about making negative political statements it was great to be around such a crowd. Especially considering the age of the cast members.

The performance was fantastic. The Singers and dancers were phenomenal. The band with only thirteen members were beyond belief. They sounded better than most much larger bands. I thought the acoustics in the theater could be better or perhaps the sound system, microphones, etc. could use some upgrading. In places, some of the vocals sounded a little tinny. Overall a fantastic performance that we truly enjoyed and would certainly do again.

It was an excellent show. Not too long and with great music. The only problem was the over amplification of the band. In this venue the acoustics are so good using mics and amps can overwhelm the voices of the singers and speakers. Started out in the center and moved to the side after intermission and could then hear better. Singers and dancers were very good and the band a joy.

Very entertaining. Great dancing. Wonderful music. Liked the musicians becoming part of the entertainment and not just sitting in the background the entire time. Volume of music sometimes got toooooo loud. thought it was just me, but saw another woman with her hands over her ears. Some of us haven't lost our hearing yet, so it hurt our ear drums some times.

I have now seen this show 3 times, taking others to this one of a kind show and have not been disappointed on any level. Although this is a nostalgic revue of the classic, memorable music from the roaring 20's through World War II. dance and music , it is also a celebration. It goes full circle from the innocence of a country to the harsh reality of war, separation of loved ones to hope and finally victory. The music reflects the times, the emotions, and with the fist rate actors and actresses singing and dancing through it all was nothing short of an exhilarating experience. They are none stop telling the story verbally, singing or dancing. The choreography is sharp, reflective and full of expression of "the mood". Their enthusiasm is contagious. Their songs are heartfelt. The tribute to all the armed forces is poignant and important to acknowledge. It is important to remember their sacrifices. In a current world stressed as it is, the show is a much needed reminder of where we have been and that we cannot lose hope but protect what we hold most dear...our freedoms.

The dancers were the best! The music struck a sentimental chord. The only negative was when voice and band hit a crescendo it was too loud to distinguish either. But on the whole it was wonderful and picked me up. Though a bit much on the military. The nurse and sailor were great. Boogy woogy bugle boy was great but all that marine, air force, ETC. Was too much.

In The Mood was a look into a time when music helped to raise the spirits of the entire Country. Just coming out of a horrible depression and right into World War II the nation had more than it's fair share of challenges. The big band era music was joyful and upbeat and it certainly managed to get you on the dance floor. The band in this production was as good as anything from the 40's. They flawlessly wound through year after year of hits and favorites while the singers belted out the tunes with clarity and emotion. The swing dancers were incredible, they had a winning combination of style and stage presence that kept you mesmerized and glued to their every move. It all came together to make a totally delightful evening of fun.

The music of the big band era was alive and reminiscent of the great music. The band, singers and dancers were outstanding. Over two hours of over-the-top performances in music, singing and dancing. Aptly titled "in the Mood" because it definitely put the audience 'in the mood' to have such a great performance. Several of the people attending told me they were 'repeat attendees' - that's how GREAT it was. A very good memory.

Loved the music, reminded me of listening to the music my mom and dad enjoyed. Loved the military acknowledgment.

What a way to celebrate a birthday. The performance was better than expected and well worth the price. There were many wonderful selections from the bands of the era. Thought it would only be instrumental, but was pleasantly surprised with the performance of the singers/dancers. Overall a GREAT show.
