It sounds like a cliché - but Abba was truly amazing - a "Blast from the Past! High intensity, energetic, performances and lots of invited 'audience-participation' made it loads of fun! Literally non-stop music with lots of opportunities to sing along to the many songs, that represent a feel-good part of our national history. I highly recommend this show - it was uplifting, and left us feeling good about the world!!

Concert was as I expected. Music was good. The venue was nice. There was not as many people as I expected. I wonder if this was due to the type or amount of advertising.

I thought Frida and Angetha were very, very good. However, there was a feeling of "Karaoke" in the air. There was a ton of "backup" sounds going on and it was very obvious. Bjorn at least did a little singing into the microphone, but I didn't see Benny sing (or lip sinc) once. Why was there a mike in front of him? He didn't even pretend. Also, his piano was turned away from the crowd, which made me feel a little suspicious of exactly how much of the sound was actually coming from his playing. But enough on the negatives.... The girls were totally on top of their game. I couldn't have been more satisfied. Bjorn did a wonderful job with "Does Your Mother Know". They sang every ABBA song I'm aware of. And they were very gracious to the embarassing small crowd that turned out to see them. But one thing for sure - the people that did show up showed up because they all (including me) LOVE ABBA!

Overall the performance was good because of the music. The group of 6 of us agreed pretty much that the sound of the lead singers, and singers was very muffled and difficult to understand the words. The stage was boring, very plain, very white, JUST did not grab you and did nothing for the overall performance.

Knowing who Abba are dates many of us. But, there was nothing dated about the production, performance and Oh My God energy at Abba Mania's show! Everyone, young and old needed no encouragement to stand, clap and dance to most songs with one notable exception. The audience sat in quite reverence and shared tissues during "Agnetha's" personally inspired "The Winner Takes It All." "Agnetha's" and "Frida's" voices and harmony were spot on and did I mention they are gorgeous? 30-40 years of stage sound technology advancements added so much depth to today's enjoyment. The only reason not to see this show is if platform shoes are personally repulsive.

Hated it, hated it, hated it. Cheesy, kitschy, dumb. All I wanted was for them to sing the Abba songs, not pretend they were them. They affected a Swedish accent, called themselves by the Abba band members' names, dressed like they lived in the 1970s, had the bands' hairstyle, etc. It was really appalling. I closed my eyes just so I wouldn't have to see how ridiculous they looked, but it didn't work because they would refer to each other by the band members' names intermittently in between songs. They kept on having the audience sing with them, put up hands in the air, sway them, and do other cheesy stuff. I left after about five songs, and would have done so sooner had the opportunity presented itself. They're not Abba, they will never be, the audience knows that, they know that. Just sing the songs in tribute to the band, not pretend to be them.

The music should be in the background and the Microphones for the singers should be a little louder. since they were so low we really couldn't hear them clearly over the instruments. the sound tech said "I am doing the best I can". bad excuse!

This was such an awesome concert - well worth the wait since I bought the ticket in June. The group, who dressed up and even looked somewhat like the original ABBA, were so good at what they did. They even got the crowd involved many times and I even saw many older seniors (70-80's) getting up and joining in the music. Such a great time. The only downside was when we left the theater it was pouring down rain but the concert couldn't prevent that.

An amazing venue in a 90 year old restored downtown San Diego theater. Comfortable, and not a crowded feeling. All seats were filled with ABBA fans (mostly women), who enjoyed every minute. They danced and rocked to the songs. They sang along. My 10 year old daughter enjoyed the acts too, singing along with most songs. The two singers were terrific, changing hair and costumes a few times. We had a great time and would return to the theater for another show. Parking was right across the street. Downtown was filled with shoppers and those taking in the sights. A fun evening.

Totally unremarkable. They did the songs, they tried to make it fun, but they just didn't pull it off. Maybe it was the poor (attempting to look sweedish, I guess) wigs. There were even times I would have sworn the performers were lip-syncing.

Although music was good and entertaining for the most part, the dancing was a bit mechanical and jokes a little flat. Did not seem to be able to completely engage the whole audience. As a result the few people that were standing blocked the view of those who weren't. A tad bit ameteurish. Did not enjoy the less popular Abba solos, instrumental and vocal.

It was a fun show! The music was wonderful & the gorgeous gals were entertaining - they were all amazing singers! The costumes were sometimes tacky (mainly the guys'), but I think that may have just been how it was in the '70s! I would definitely see them again! My wife and I walked out after the 5th song. It's a shame there are no refunds. Three to four times a year, we attend 3-4 concerts, plays, shows, etc, for almost 15 years now. This was the most disappointing show we have ever seen in that time frame. If ABBA saw this show, they would not be happy for the (mis)representation. The band was severely amateurish, to the point my wife and I thought we were watching a high school show. Everything was canned, bad acting and all, including the interactions with the audience. Nothing was spontaneous. It was all painfully pre-planned. We knew something was not going to go right with this show as soon as they walked out. The wigs were horrible. Absolutely horrible. The outfits were nothing like ABBA's. The backup band was obviously, in watching them, was not engaged at all. No smiling, nothing...just a couple of musicians playing their instruments...with a somber face.

Plain, is how d describe the show. And although the delivery (vocals) was good, the visual aspects lacked excitement. The dance routines appeared too rehearsed/unnatural. Both female singers wore way too much makeup-they reminded me of Barbie dolls rather than the 70 s soft, natural looks of the girls. I also think the whole production would have appeared more interesting if they had a background screen with maybe the real ABBA s concert performances.

It was fantastic. I never got to see Abba, but if you closed your eyes you'd swear you were at one. For two hours I was 35 to 40 you're younger. A sentiment I'm sure was shared by many in the audience judging by ages of most in attendance. However there were numerous younger people there also. I notes one young woman who attending with two older women's and at first she seemed bored to be there, but later was cheering with the audience. It's nice to be able to recall your younger days occasionally.

Although outside of the typical age demographic for this show, my fellow millenials and I were thrilled to come across Abba Mania while perusing hip concert options. The performance did not disappoint - a very convincing Agnetha wowed the crowd with vocals, while a somewhat less convincing Bjorn explored the stage and kept the energy high. The greatest surprise of the show came at the very beginning, when the announcer introduced the cast as all-Canadian. "Is this what Canada is like?", I asked myself. My friend replied, "stop talking to yourself, we're in public." It's fine though. Anyway, with the election coming up, it's nice to know that our neighbors to the north will be able to keep me entertained if I have to relocate.

As the evening began, we noticed that their was an unusual amount of elderly people in the crowd (75 plus). As the concert began, the crowd was mellow. So we relocated up a few rows and were able to stand and dance throughout the entire concert. By the end of the concert, 90% of the crowd was on its' collective feet.

In general, I found the show entertaining at best. The girls were fairly good; the two guys were at best just there. Especially, the one portraying Bjorn. He couldn't even play guitar and had zero personality. If they should return to Raleigh again, I hope they will find someone who has more stage presence and can at least play the designated instrument.

This concert was painful on the ears. Absolutely horrible. Did not do justice to the original ABBA. It was a trainwreck of screechy music. People were leaving before intermission. I left at intermission. The balance was terrible -- all you could hear were drums. The mics were out of balance with way too much treble so that the ladies' voices sounded screechy. They also used the same dance routines for just about every song. It was the worst concert I've ever been to.

The show was great -- even for a crowd of seniors; realize thirty-six years ago the same crowd were not sporting canes or gray hair. The band continued to pump everyone up and by the time Dancing Queen was played -- no one wanted to leave. I attended the concert with three generations of ABBA music lovers and we all appreciated the show. Question: Was this the same group that performed at the Chaq. Institute during the summer of 09?

ABBA1
With the exception of a couple of solo performances (by Agnetha), this was the weakest of the ABBA Tribute groups I have seen. The group seemed better suited for cruise ships. The girls didn't sound anything like ABBA (not that I expect them to sound exactly like the original). Overall, they weren't that good. The Bjorn character showed plenty of energy. However, "Benny" was lifeless on the keyboard and seemed bored (I could tell since I was i in the 5th row). The group tried to update some ABBA classics and the group's live nuances through dancing and audience participation. Overall, the effort fell short and people would be much better off going to see ABBA the Music or Bjorn Again (the best ABBA shows out there).

This was a great concert. The music, dancing, costumes, etc were outstanding. There were people from 2 to 80 years old and everyone was having a great time!

We took my 2 1/2 year old grandaughter to the show because she is a big fan of all Abba music after seeing Mama Mia. She sang and danced in the aisles. The event staff moved us from the mezzanine area to eighth row center stage and Maggie was able to go right up in front of the stage and danced and sang her little heart out. It was an amazing experience for her and for us to see.

I attended the concert with five friends. Everyone enjoyed the energy of the concert. Thought trying to get the audience to participate was great. The girls' voices were outstanding. Very pleasant evening.

The theater seemed to be too big for an average crowd for the show. Understandably, more girls than boys. But to tell you the truth, if you are the kind of person that loved abba muisc for the genius of music, you are going to love this group re-presenting it live. Speaking for myself, I went there only cuz my wife wanted to go, but although "the man...grrrr" is not likely to sway and clap with the soft tunes of Fernando, thank you for the music, I found myself clapping with the rest of the crowd, its catching! The singing was sensational, their voices blended beautifully, I gotta admit, although i thought the solo pieces were punctuated by heavy breathing (ofcourse, they moved and sang, wot wud u expect), it was a graceful show put up by the group. They should avoid trying to get the crowd on their feet for songs that are meant to be heard with heads n hearts swaying with the tunes. It was like standing for two lines of the song and then u are trying to see whether u can sit without having to see butt of the person in the next row up-close. Some songs are just not for dance, neither for claps but only for heart to enjoy. But...I will give them 10/10...great performance...worth my money. We left the place happy and for me, thats what counts.

Music was great. Performers were just ok. Not enough pazz in the show. Performers tried but couldn't get audiance to really get involved.

We have always loved ABBA's music and ABBA Mania was a great chance for us to enjoy it. We loved each song and the invitations to join in and sing and dance with the performers. They were VERY friendly and fun to watch. We would definitely go again!

Truly a great show. We enjoyed the entire show. The only thing that could have been better were our seats. We were excited to know we were in the third row orchestra seats. However we were not aware we would have a partial view and the music speakers would be sooo loud.

Whoever played Anna has a beautiful voice. I enjoyed the song selection very much. However, all of the dancing around the stage by Anna and Frieda was overdone. I always remember the group standing and singing together on songs they were all involved in. Benny and Bjorn sat by themselves playing their respective instruments and Frieda was only a little more involved.
