The fireworks were okay, perhaps the highlight of the entire thing. The concept of having different areas was pretty well-thought out, and having an outside family fair was better than the actual event itself. There were some pretty bad factors: 1) the population: I'm not a local myself, but if you are a local, then you may feel a little bit like an outcast. It was WAY too many people there, you had to wait 10 minutes to use the bathroom or 30 for a drink. Plus the tourists can be a little out of hand 2) Drugs: No regulation on the drugs. You have to be careful if you are military. There were too many areas smelling like weed. 3) Overpriced drinks/Lack of variety: No way in HECK should you pay $9 for a liquor shot. You were much better off getting a mixed drink at the club or buying your own bottle of liquor for $20 minimum. Plus they lacked variety and ran out of the best liquor they had to offer. 4) No seats: Bad if you wore heels to the ocassion 5) Fun value: Many of my friends left after the fireworks. I left around 1 or 2, which is abnormal for someone who parties until sunrise. Overall: It was okay at best. Don't expect too much out of it. Some of my friends who went to Zanzabar said they had a better time there, which is sad because of its poor reputation.

Jamey Johnson, Colt Ford and Josh Thompson all put on great shows. The guy that sang w/ Colt Ford even played a few songs, including a great one called "Camoflauge". The only thing that would have made the night better would be if Josh Thompson got more stage time. He's great!

Pro's : Inside out of cold. 3 bar areas to move around in. Con's : 1) Had to wait for an opening in bar area that we liked (was not real long, but a wait). Most people moved from bar to bar creating opening to allow others in. VIP section was best (more money) because you had a seat to enjoy your friends and relax with drink after dancing - we did not have. Drinks - expensive but free outside of bar in the casino. Next was coat check - well since we did not have VIP and coat check was full, we had to carry our heavy jackets around with us. People were having fun inside at the bars, it was just not what we wanted. The FREE closed off street activities going on outside were - lots of people dancing and partying to DJ music along the street. Plus it was cold so we wore our coats in comfort and had a BLAST!! MOST IMPORTANT - A Big Thank You to all the security walking the cold night watching over us to ensure safety to all. YOU DID A GREAT JOB!!!!! South Lake Tahoe NYE was ALL we had heard and one of the best!

For $75 a ticket, the event was a bit high-priced. It was nice to have hors d'oerves, but I figure most of us had dinner first and weren't that interested in some fried finger bites. Also, with it being New Year's Evem and such a high entry fee, a few drink specials would be appreciated. The band, Le Freak, was in pretty sharp form, and the go-go dancers were a nice addition, although they were completely out of sync, and only two of the dancers seemed to have any skills. Stage and lights were very plain, and should have been a bit more innovative.

All in all a good show. Great seats and a great price. 4 acts and all were good. Surprisingly, not as high energy from the bands as I expected being New Years Eve and all, but I would see it again.

It was nothing less than fabulous!!! The best consert ever!! It will be hard to ever top this concert and not to mention that we were able to celebrate New Years Eve @ the best concert of the year w/Jamey Johnson!!! I have not had this much fun in such a long time. We really got our money's worth and was able to add to our list of favorites by adding Colt Ford in to the mix!! I would suggest to anyone to go to this concert and I would go again in a heart beat!!!! Best Concert Ever!!!!

Good idea. Fun costumes, cute girl dancers (not bad for a pay check of $100 per show, tryouts for Cowboy Cheerleaders are next year). The band sounds thin. The sequenced music you play along with would sound better with real horns and real keyboards (I know, but then you'd have to charge more). You have the right tunes, you just need a thicker sound to play all those 70s-80s tunes. Good showmanship.

Poor music choice -- felt like dancing in a car dealership as we were surrounded by showed cars (just like in a showroom) -- just weird -- over 2hrs waiting to get a taxi after the event. They were not set to have such a party.

Total waste of money for underage people, could have enjoyed the food area and Ferris wheel without paying for a ticket. Not to mention we had to pay $30 for parking

I thought the ticket was to go eat at the food trucks, listen to the different bands and stages of music and the ferris wheel but it was actually to go into the grass park area where you are some what closer to the fireworks and music stages. It wasn't worth the $37 to go into the park when you can see the fireworks outside of the park. Also the only live band that I saw was Fiji. They had another section for Hip hop and trance which was just playing CD remixes. Next year I'm not buying the ticket and staying outside where its less crowded. Keep in mind that you are on the grass. I wore shoes which were comfortable but I saw so many girls ate it because of their heels sank in the grass. Luckily it wasn't raining or else it would've been super muddy.

I couldn't have picked a worse venue to spend New Year's Eve at! We were herded like cattle into pens in order to drink an alcoholic beverage and couldn't leave that area until either you finished the drink or threw it away. So every time I wanted to get my drink I had to leave the entertainment, which also sucked. This was a poorly organized event and I should have just stayed home and watched, 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, it would have been a better time.

-This was a fun event, later in the night was more fun than the beginning. -I liked that they had 21 and over sections to prevent underage drinkers, however it made it difficult to hang out with our whole group (we had two 20 year olds). Next year, they should have maps / itinerary's of the night and what is going on. Was kind've confused at the beginning.

Nice space, great decorations, awesome food, well organized, safe, classy place, classy guests. The music was better in the beginning ( live music) but latter was only DJs - way too loud and not a great variety ( for example. even in the "Latino" room 90% of music was salsa, but other rhythms ( cha cha, rumba, samba, marenge etc) were missing, it got boring after few hours. Similar in other ballrooms. Not even one place or one little break with something "classy" like - ballroom dancing ( slow waltz, foxtrot, etc). And is it called "Glitz and Glamor Gala"?! More disco and rock gala! Not very impressed with the music. But everything else was nice. Also, temperature in the Tiffany Ballroom was very low so people complained many times but they did not turn the air-conditioning down(:

I spent 40 dollars on this event hoping that it would give me a good time and a great New Year's party, however with everything so spread out is was hard to find areas you were looking for. If you brought someone under the age of 21, you were screwed. The only bars that were available were fenced in and only allowed those over the age of 21, which I understand as to why, but with the dance floor being 50 feet away from the fenced in area and you were not allowed to go anywhere with your beverage, leaving you in this fenced in area, it made it really difficult to have any fun. My underage guest had to wait outside the area by herself, while me and my 21+ year old friend, just trying to have a drink on New Years Eve, waited in a ridiculous line to get up there and spend way too much money on very poorly mixed drinks. The bartender was not good at all, and with the craziness going on the bartenders were definitely not up to the amount of people they had to cater too. After spending too long on getting drinks we had to chug down the drinks we had so we can leave the fenced in area to join the rest of the party and our poor underage friend who was just waiting for us. I am sorry to say but not much longer after that we left, wasting quite a bit of money on this event and ending up not enjoying ourselves at all. We left way before midnight, and headed to another New Years Eve party. There would have been an easier way of doing this. Fencing in areas that were 18+ so that event workers could ID those who entered and marked those who were underage with an X or some sort of stamp. That way they can still have a bar, but have the bartenders look for that mark like every other underage club or party. That way those who brought underage guests can still have a good time with their guests and still get the alcohol they desire to have for their New Years Eve Party. Definitely was not the Party of the Year!

I would only rate this event as average. The parking was really bad. And parking to pay for was really expensive. Once I got to the entrance I was able to get in with no problem. However it was not until I wanted to venture into the VIP section that I realized that the ladies who checked me in did not give me my wrist band for that section. I had to go back to the main entrance and get the band I needed. It would be nice if next time they would pay attention to the tickets so people would not have to come back. Other then that the party was great. Entertainment was wonderful, drinks was good, and people was merry. It was one of the best New Year's Eve parties I have been to.

This event sucked. Buying a ticket was not even necessary as the part of the event that required a ticket was just a watered down version of the free stuff outside. Alcohol was extremely overpriced and the selection was crappy. Food vendors were in very poor condition and I highly doubt any of them would pass a health inspectors visit. Security was a joke as I saw four or five people in front me just sneak into the area I paid $37 a ticket for. They just walked right by the people who were scanning tickets (did not have wrist bands) and then joked about it when they were on the other side. Supposedly had 30+ food vendors but only enough tables to seat 50 people. They had fireworks every hour but I've seen better from the people who live down the street from me. Did not even stay for midnight because the event was so poor. I wish I could get a refund.

Tickets were a good deal. We really enjoyed all the fireworks shows, especially the grand finale. We got access to different music stages and enjoyed using the Happy Hour Hawaii app to get discounts on drinks. The only thing that should be improved is the food offerings. We wish the food selection had been bigger and not so expensive/overpriced!

The stages were a bit close together that was the only annoying thing, from the reggae stage you could hear the hip hop stage. It was great overall though. Red Bull people flying down from the sky and a foam pool thingy by the rave stage. It was great! :)

Very good time! Band was excellent! Food was delicious! Some changes that would be nice for next time would be if the beef could be pre-sliced. Waiting for the server to slice the beef and add to your plate caused a long line thru the buffet. Also, if more casino tables could be added next year. We did not get a chance to play due to all the tables were full.

Everything was great there. Its the first time I've ever been to Moretti's. Don't know how it is other than New Year's Eve but I would love to find out though. Wings were drastically under seasoned but still tasted good. I was disappointed that they didn't have 1800 silver or gold which is one of the better tequilas. Other than that everything was fine.

Seem like it took a while for the concert to get started. All the performers were not entertaining. Jamey Johnson is a good singer, but he is lacking in performance. He needs to interact with the audience more. There was no enthusiasm about him. The potential is there, he just needs to express, relate and connect with his audiences.

That was a New Year's Eve party. Thanks to those freaks. Gotta like that music (I'm the big 50: 2010 - 30ish = 1980). The wig wearing, buffed up crooners took a few breaks, but blasted the old dance tunes out longer than my winded and lightly intoxicated brain could keep track. They looked like they were having fun and made sure we had fun. The Glass Cactus is a great venue when they can use the deck, but when the outside temps keep you indoors and the paltry, advertised appetizers and conspicuously sorta available midnight champagne don't meet even low expectations it was just another average night club. Didn't notice that much, though, cause I was busy having a real good time. C'est chic!

The preshow was better than than Jamey Johnson's performance. Jamey was drunk and had a hard time with his own songs. He didn't have enough of his own songs for the show and was reduced to singing songs of other artists. The crowd was drunk and asleep, and most left after he sang "You Should Have Seen It in Color", which he killed.

I have been to lots of concerts, and all the concerts at the Expo center, and I have to say that Jamey Johnsons was the absolute worst I have ever been too. That was money and a New Years eve wasted. The best part of the whole thing was leaving. It was too loud, you couldn't understand the words and Jamey acted as if he moved very fast he would break. The stage was bare and nothing to activate the excitment or interest of the people.I've seen larger crowds at funerals. A total waste.
