Very intimate venue. MWS was personable and is very talented.

It was an awesome time of praise and worship along with songs of the past, present and future (soon to be releases), plus just having some small talk with Michael. When you have 44 years of music to choose from I would imagine it's hard to pick which ones to perform, but he did great and it was such a blessing to be a part of it. The only reason for 4 stars was the time of the concert. Tickets said 6:00 pm, but that was when the doors opened, so we had to wait an hour once we got in before the opening act started at 7:00 pm. Others around us said the same thing. Wished we would have waited till later to show up. Would have had more time at dinner with my spouse.

This Christmas concert featured Michael W Smith and special guest Jordan Smith(winner of The Voice) with the always amazing Nashville Symphony with the uber talented David Hamilton playing piano and conducting!! I have to say the Schermerhorn is a fantastic venue with second to none acoustics! The Nashville Symphony musicians are just fabulous, amazing and my wife and I just love them! We have been fans of Michael W Smith from the very beginning of his career and never miss an opportunity to see him in this venue! The Christmas gathering concert as he called it exceeded all expectations and far beyond! He is just a good man and if you have the chance to see him in concert; GO!!! Jordan Smith has one of the most angelic voices I've ever heard! If you thought he was great on The Voice, oh my you have got to hear him in person! Tears were in the eyes of everyone as everyone from the musicians to us in the audience sang O' Holy Night together!! My wife and I give it a 5* rating!!!!!!!

What a powerful night of music and worship! I have never been to such a wonderful show at DTE, and I have been going to concerts there for over 25 years!

It never grows old to see Michael W. Smith perform, praise, and worship the One and Almighty. It is truly amazing to be able to worship with so many hundreds of like minded people. The ampitheater probably has some loose screws from all of the praise that was lifted High onto the Lord. His enthusiasm and genuineness is clearly written all over his face. I never want the awesome feeling to end.

This concert was amazing! I have no words to expplain the love, God's love that was shown and felt at this performance. It was cool just getting together with others, friends and strangers, praising and worshipping God together.

This is our 5th time going to see Michael W Smith and it was absolutely spirit filled and worth going. Michael is a wonderful instrument of God in sharing his love to all of us.

Smitty never lets his audience down! How he has so much energy amazes me--we are about the same age! He has blessed my life with his music over and over again! I was singing so loud that I lost my voice and my arms still hurt from clapping. I have been having a couple of rough weeks with family and work and his music keeps me grounded in what is really important in life--the love our Lord Jesus Christ! I enjoyed his flashback sequence--I'm old enough to remember them all. Audience participation is always key at a Smitty concert. It is just such an incredible feeling to be with so many people who love the Lord and the energy, love and praise that you feel. I didn't want it to end. Too bad Clarkston has a noise ordinance

The Michael W. Smith concert was truly incredible. Phil Stacy opened and he is fantastic. He was followed by Natalie Grant who put on an amazing show. When Michael took the stage, the crowd went wild. He is a truly gifted artist and strong in his faith in Christ. It was wonderful to enjoy worship music with fellow believers.

This was a wonderful evening at DTE. The message, music and venue combined for a memorable event.

The show last night was turly amazing! He played some old songs, which I appreciated because I saw him back in the 80's, he played some new songs which were great, and he played something from his instrumental album which I now have to get! To see that many people praising God in an outdoor venue was very moving! There were very young kids all the way up to people in their 70s and everywhere in between. What a totally awesome concert!

Great concert by Smitty. Fantastic as usual. Played songs from latest album but also some of his great songs from the past. He is a great song writer, musician and worshiper of Jesus.

Despite winds and torrential rain and hail at times - the show went on and the artists were simply great!!!

both micheal w smith and curtis stephan chapman were incredible. i loved their energy and love for God. if there was any problems it was with the promoter. we were sold seats that did not exist. access to the parking was a mud bog and wasn't till much later that the parking was accessable. however that was forgiveable once the artists came on stage.

The music and worship was fantastic. The only drawback on the whole evening was the weather. Thunderstorms put the start of the concert back and the temperature could have been a bit warmer. Unusual for a late July eveing in the Okanagan

Awesome as always!! It was nice to have seen and hear him play in a smaller venue.

Seems obvious enough on the face of it, but more than the obvious this is a talented pure musician--I expected good, and I expected M W Smith but the raw talent stunned me. He could leave lyrics and expectations outside and spend 2 hours with the band playing pure music and I would happily pay to see/hear it.

We had great seats and Michael was his usual amazing self. This was my 3rd Michael W. Smith concert and the night was filled with beautiful music, old and new, praising our God with song, The night included humor, heartbreaking stories and lots of excitement. Nathan was fun to see again and Justin was full of energy, but the night belonged God being glorified by Michael and his amazing talent. I can't wait to get tickets for his December concert with Amy Grant!

Michael W. Smith was amazing. A humble, Godly man whose music is inspiring. It was a privilege to participate in this event. I hope you have him back again.

We initially went to see Jordan Feliz, but was well entertained by Nathan Tasker. Our problem and why we left early after Michael started was we couldn't hear him very well. We heard more of the instruments, than we did of him. The wife was really frustrated with not being able to really hear him, after we had seen him in Des Moines at Christmas concert him and Amy Grant did. So we blame the sound crew for not having his mic loud enough.

The venue was amazing. The workers were very welcoming and helpful and we had amazing seats. However I don't think there could be a bad seat in the house!

As always, Michael W Smith did not disappoint. He was amazing! Can't wait to go to his next local event in December. I love how he sings from the heart and how he draws us into the song. I often had tears in my eyes from the emotion of it all. It was a great night! Thank you to Monroe 21 for letting a Christian event at their place.

Michael and his band were fantastic. It was a great mix of old and new. We enjoyed the collage of old songs and would have enjoyed hearing a few more. While we appreciate Michael's energy, it did seem a little like he was trying to hard to be "young and hip" on the early part of the concert. It felt awkward. However his solid performance as it went on made for a very enjoyable evening. We appreciate and respect his work with Compassion and hope that they had a wonderful response. Their dedication and work with the will be a blessing to many.

I had high expectations for this concert. It exceeded my expectations by a lot. Highly recommend going to see a stop on this tour or any tour with Michael W. Smith. Jordan Feliz is also a great artist and newcomer Nathan Tasker did great too. Wonderful way to spend an evening!

I have been to several Michael W Smith concerts and this one as with others did not disappoint! The venue itself was great for the size and it was nice to hear him do a mix of both old and new songs. Jordan Feliz and Nathan tasker did extremely good performances as well! I would definitely go see this tour again given the opportunity! I would have liked to have heard Jordan Feliz perform a little longer but was still impressed!

The sound and performances were excellent. Wish there was some time to meet them and maybe get the cds autographed.

He has always been my favorite Christian singer. I have gone to many of his concerts. However, I was a bit disappointed as was some of the other attendees around me. The the first few songs from his new Album Revolution sounded like a Rock and roll band. NOt that I am opposed to rock and roll but it doesn't seem a good fit for him. In addition, we could not hear his voice it was drowned out by the music that was so loud.

I wish I could have arrived after Jordan Feliz. My wife and kids came to hear Michael W Smith, not a full blown shake the chairs around the room concert. Prepare your family with ear plugs for the first four Michael W Smith songs. His new songs are so loud you can see him on the stage, but can not hear one work he is singing. The last 3/4 of the show was wonderful !!! We actually got to hear the Michael W Smith songs we paid for. He was awesome, just wish he wold not change to rock out as much. We love him when we can understand the words he is singing.

Disappointing. Warm-up with Nathan Tasker was good. Jordan Feliz was a high aerobic exercise, but unable to understand most of the lyrics as they were drowned out by the driving sound. MWS came on after a too-long pitch for Compassion International (good organization; captive audience). MWS opened with all his new stuff. The floor and seats were shaking from the pounding bass and driving drums aided by electronic augmentation. Strobe lights (or rotating spots) were annoying. Lyrics were unintelligible. I vowed to leave, feeling I had been kidnapped and trapped in a car at a traffic light with a high-voltage sound system pounding my ear drums to powder. I repented that I bought the tickets. Then, near the end of what seemed hours, he sat down at the piano and sang his old hits. The audience chimed in, and he redeemed the evening. Too late, sorry. I prefer music, not a demonstration of amplification techniques. His first half spoiled what could have been a special occasion with the music that made him a household word in Christian music. I left with a headache. Never again.

This is my third Michael W. Smith concert that I have attended and this particular concert was by far the best. He played non-stop and was able to touch the hearts of every person in the theater through his brief stories and words of encouragement. He is certainly a gift to us from God.

I've never been disappointed at a Michael W. Smith concert until this one in Hagerstown Maryland on April 6. He started out his concert called the revolution with very wild loud rock music. The base was extremely loud to the point that I was almost vibrating in my seat and the music was so loud you could not understand what was being sung. It got to the point where I didn't think I was going to be able to stand it anymore. Thank heavens after about five noisy songs he switched back to his normal Christian themed music which was much softer and very inspiring. The remainder of the show was wonderful.

The show was fantastic! 3 artists, Michael W Smith was wonderful! He sang for 2 hrs! Making it a 3 hr event-well worth it:-)

I knew Michael W. Smith would be great. He always is! I loved Nathan Tasker and Love & the Outcome, too. They were great! My 8yr old son went with me and he loved how they rocked out.

Michael is always great. His concerts are spiritual for us.

I took my daughter to her 1st concert to see Michael W. Smith. Best thing I ever did! The music was fantastic and very inspiring So glad we went!

I only enjoyed the last quarter of the show mainly. The other two groups were fine. I just did not appeciate all the selling of products, and bringing something as personal as sponsoring a child in another country to a captive audience. You would have had more resepct by sending a mailer. I was also not fond of the new type music being put out. You have always been a great praise and worship singer, and it seemed like you were catering to just one group of the people, (the younger generation). Only the portion of the show where you got back to your roots, was I truly inspired once again. I wish you would stay there.

We have seen him 3 times; this venue was very intimate. loved it

Phillips, Craig and Dean is my all time favorite group so you know I had to attend. I have to say that Mark Lowery was too funny and then he sang a song and I was blown away by his beautiful voice. M. Smith is great and the concert was super long. After an intermission, all of the musicians joined in to sing old hymns ... all Gods people were worshiping together. This was as close to what it might be like singing with the angels in heaven ... all praise and glory to God and Jesus Christ our wonderful savior. The venue was old, historic and beautiful .... the perfect setting for this type of intimate concert.

Third Day is always a shash hit, including Mac joking about being the "warm up band"! Micheal W gave a great show as always...we were all in the Spirit and next thing we knew the show was over. An amazing show and great time had by all! Special guest Angie Miller (American Idol) has an amazing voice too!

The concert was fantastic, and Michael was amazing as always! I can't wait to see him again!

This Christmas concert was AMAZING! The Orchestra, the Choir, MICHAEL W SMITH!!!! It was my first Michael W Smith Concert and it was unforgettable. We traveled from NYC to see him and it was SO worth it. I would definitely go again.

I love love love Michael W Smith. He's such an anointed man of God. The spirit of The Lord is always felt at his concerts.

Michael was truly amazing as usual. Hew sounded incredible and God was definately there with all of us. Michael gave a very touching blessing near the end that brought tears to so manys eyes. Jeremy Camp opened the show with his powerful voice and got the crowd excited. Smitty came out after and filled the ampitheatre with his amazing words and I didn't want it to end!! Looking forward to next year already. God Bless to all.

I am a huge MWS fan, so it would be next to impossible for me to say anything negative about the show. It was grand. The orchestra was outstanding. MWS, himself, was as gracious as always. Anytime he is around, guaranteed, I will go to see his show. One thing I would like to see is another type of concert by him. Twice now, I've seen the Christmas show and I would like to see him come through here on another type of tour/show next round! "Be seein' ya again, Michael!" Blessings to all!

Can't get enough of MW Smith. This is perhaps the most amazing artist out there. His vocal skills combined with his piano skills made this an unforgettable evening. Michael shares the show with those around him. This time it was the Virginia Symphony Orchestra directed by the also amazing David Hamilton. Smitty was also accompanied by the very talented Skip Clevenger with this "bag" of amazing instruments. The evening was completed by the group of young people from Tennessee, (sorry, I forgot their name) who did backup vocals as well as a few songs on their own. I would do it all over again tomorrow.

What a AMAZING!! concert. This was my 3rd MWS concert and hopefully many more to come. I hope he keeps coming back because I will keep going no matter what.

they could have use a bit of backdrops for the background so it wasn't so dark. also to get the crowd a bit more excited. to reach out they needed to make it a bit more fun but the songs were great and great to see the friendship that they share.

Yes, I really enjoyed Micheal but I felt that the comedian was very tacky and should not have appeard in a church. I was disappointed to have to watch him for almost a hour. I paid to see Micheal not another person first. Also the chuch that the concert was held at, was not set up of the seating arrangements so we did not get to have the seats that we paid for. We also very unhappy about this. In all I feel that the price that we paid was not close to what we expected.

Michael and his group were wonderful to see and hear. The new songs as well as the classic "Smitty" songs were great. The Choir did a great job !! My wife had been to a concert of his before, but this was my first time and it was an absolutely fabulous night! Can't wait for the next one!

Michael W Smith was amazing as always. We enjoyed the smaller venue as it was more intimate, We also enjoyed the lower ticket prices, It's nice to see an artist of his caliber and fame offering affordable concerts for his fans. Thank you Michael, it is much appreciated!!!

Even though MWSmith has been around a few years his concert was stellar! There were only a few times when it was a little hard to understand his words but the music was golden! I would highly recommend his concert and this venue! Both were Top Notch in my opinion!

The sound man destroyed any chance music would come through. The decibels were off the charts from the bass and drums. I have worked on flight lines where B-52s took off and this was worse than that. It was problematic because I know MWS writes and performs beautiful music. I had to leave the concert and listen to the noise from the lobby. Please let MWS know, for I am sure his sound man had MWS ear monitor set perfect and he was not aware of what we were experiencing in the audience. I will not attend another without ear protection at a minimum, and most likely not attend again. I love his music, just not the way it was blasted beyond listening. FRF

Talented musicians, awesome songs with a powerful message. Michaels voice is as beautiful as it s always been. Well worth being there. Faith filled event.

This was my second time seeing Micheal W Smith. The three hour concert was filled with outstanding music and a wonderful message. It was especially great to see him honor Rev. Billy Graham.

Smitty is never disappointing. He and Jim Daneker, along with a young lady on the strings were unique, authenic and refreshing to me. Michael was as transparent as ever, sharing information about himself, his family, and his God! It is always one of life's greatest blessings to be brought into God's presence through the leadership of a GREAT music minister! Thank you, Dear Michael!

The venue was smaller and more intimate. I had the best seats I have had EVER for a concert - 4th row from the stage. Michael shared many stories and things you don't normally hear at a full blown concert. And he performed new music as well as old faves. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this event and had a grand time of worship!! Praise God, and thank you Michael W. Smith and Illinois State University Braden Auditorium!!!

Very good show. Recommend Mike & Molly that opened the show also. Had great seats. 1st row right beside where he sat at keyboard. Have seen him several times. Love his music and his stories.

This concert had a very intimate feel. The opening act, GraysonReed, was a married couple with only a guitar for accompaniment and they were great! They are both songwriters and shared some personal stories that inspired their songs. (I just downloaded their EP!). They sang for about half an hour. Michael W Smith only brought two band members with him, a woman who played guitar and cello, and a man who played keyboards. MWS himself switched between guitar and keyboard. In a way, this concert had a more serious tone to it as he shared some moving personal stories: missing his father who passed away a couple years ago, sharing how "There She Stands" came to be written after 9/11, and also the story behind "This Is Your Time" which was written after the Columbine massacre. Then there were great moments of worship as he sang several well-known worship songs. One of the best things about Michael W Smith is that he talks to you as if you have been friends for a long time...casual and easy. And speaking of "friends", that is his popular song he closes all his concerts with and this one was no exception. I have seen MWS probably at least a dozen times over the years and I will continue to do so. A beautiful time of praise and worship as well as great music.

Fantastic show--MWS always puts on a great show and is very energetic. He played some old songs, some new songs, and some traditional songs. Loved the show!

1st time i saw hime in concert was in 1985. I had been unable to see him live since 1999. He started the show with as much energy and enthusiasm as ever. He did a mix of new songs, some older classics & worship songs. Was a great night. An added plus to get to hear Stu G on guitar, who I hadn't seen since the last Delierious tour. Looking forward to the next time I can catch a MWS tour and excited for his new music to come out

Michael W. Smith and his team always deliver a very unforgettable concert. Song from the three plus decades of his amazing music. Including new songs from the upcoming CD. Michael always has a way of connecting with the audience through the stories of life and of the songs he sings that have a way that touches where God only can. Any one of his concerts is worth the effort for a refreshing of your spirit.

Smitty always puts on a great show. I love this venue, 20 Monroe! It was a more intimate setting. The music was incredible and inspiring. His opening act Jordan Feliz was amazing also. I am never disappointed at Smitty's concerts!!

MWS was in great voice and continues to put on a great concert/worship experience. He played a lot of his hits including some he hasn't played in a while. He offered several songs from his latest CD and two from the new one coming out in Oct, which were good.

I went to this concert mainly to see Jordan Smith, and he did not disappoint! His pure, clear voice with huge range and power was amazing, yet he has subtlety and tenderness as well.Of course, Micheal W. Smith was the headliner, and he was excellent as well. MWS did most of the talking and interaction with the audience. I wish Jordan had been allowed to do more of that since he is excellent at it, with his great wit and love of chatting up with everyone. The Schermerhorn Symphony Center is a gorgeous venue.

Christmas With Amy Grant & Michael W. Smith, it was my first time to see both. They had an orchestra with them. Was amazing, will see them again. There great voices will lift you up, had a great time.

At 58 years old, Michael W. Smith is still as amazing as ever! He is so talented and gifted and his faithfulness to his craft, his family and to God is just such a wonderful example of what it means to be a Godly man. I've enjoyed his music since he was in his 20's and it's as good as ever! This Christmas concert was a wonderful event - full of fun and worship. Can't say enough good things about the facility (The Fox is an incredible venue), the Fox staff (everyone was very friendly and helpful) and Michael and his orchestra (beautiful, beautiful music and performance).

Michael W. Smith's Christmas concert was amazing. He played traditional and non-traditional Christmas songs, along with a few of his Christian selections. He was also accompanied by a full orchestra and backup singers. We have seen Michael W. Smith on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. It is refreshing to attend a performance where you can enjoy yourself and not be subjected to inappropriate content or language. A wonderful choice for the entire family.

This was my first time at the Fox Theater . Will absolutely come back for future concerts. Was so impressed with the facility which only made the Michael W. Smith Christmas Concert even more special! Thank you !

Excellent music quality. Michael W. Smith is a great singer and the orquesta was fantastic.

It was Michael (no warm up groups) and the full orchestra. He sang the classics, a few of his own Christmas songs, told a few stories, and did a few older songs, mostly instrumentals. Good for those that love Smitty, and those that don't know him, but know Christmas. Highly recommend this. He will not play "his" music, but this is not what it is all about - it is his Christmas Show, not a MSW show. As long as you keep that in mind, you won't be disappointed. This is not our first time seeing MWS, nor our first Christmas show with him. This is becoming somewhat of a Christmas tradition for us. Hope he comes "home" again next year. I have listened to Michael W Smith for 20 years and am always blown away by his amazing musical ability.. This concert is no exception although I was a bit disappointed with concert in that I expected more Christmas spirit. Much of the music was orchestral and although it was beautiful it didn't inspire the Christmas spirit in me or my family. If you just want to be amazed by MWS's music then go and enjoy, if you are hoping for an awesome Christmas experience then this is probably not the concert to go to.

Michael W. Smith is simply amazing. This is the 3rd time we've seen him, each better than the last. It is so refreshing to see wholesome family entertainment from a person that presents an image of humility instead of entitlement. Keep it up Mr. Smith!

The program was a great mix of traditional carols and newer Christmas songs MWS has written. The orchestra was fabulous!

Michael w Smith was an incredible experience! I have seen him many times in concerts back to the 1980's. He is such an inspiration! I have so much more respect for him hearing that his father had died 19 days earlier and still able to get out their and amaze the audience! Felt so lifted up and the next day I was on an all time spiritual high and nothing could bring me down. Keep Going Michael W Smith!!

What a wonderful concert! Michael was awesome as usual! GR Symphony was amazing & The ResLife Choir was great as well. The music was so beautiful, Every part of the concert was so awesome! Bring Michael and GR Symphony back every year to Resurrection Life Church-Grandville!! I would like to see alot more concerts etc there!!

Michael W Smith and the entire night was awesome. Definitely will go again next year. The parking lot after the concert was a nightmare, hoping by next year they can figure out how to have people designated to direct traffic. It seriously took 25 minutes to get out.

The whole concert was awesome and amazing. It was worth every penny. There were times when I got tears in my eyes. I'm looking forward to the next time Smith is in town. I will definitely go again

A wonderful variety of music: instrumental, vocal, solo, choir, secular, Christian, traditional, non traditional. The evening flew by! We got to sing with the orchestra too!

When I paid for the tickets, I thought, I've never spent that much money for my pleasure.... BUT.. It WAS. MONEY WELL SPENT... it was AWESOME.. Michael, Grand Rapids Symphony, AND the church choir... I was surprised at how people oriented. Michall was...THANK FOR A BLESSING...

The Grand Rapids symphony was just wonderful. There was a powerful choir from the hosting Church which sounded awesome! Michael W. Smith was witty and funny, and though he said his beloved father has just died 18 days prior, he was full of cheer! He even played Friends are Friends Forever for the crowd.

Michael's concert was wonderful ! Fun, and a blessing. Would go as many times as I could afford it !! LOVE MICHAEL W> SMITH !!

Was exceptionable. I already plan on going next year and taking along some friends. It was just what I needed as I had been feeling kinda down. I am looking into getting some of his CD's as well.

Michael W. Smith was outstanding! His musicianship was fantastic! The show was coordinated well between the GR Symphony and the Rez Life Choir. Excellent conductor! We enjoyed Michael's personal stories and touches in the first half; the Christmas concert theme/format of the second half was just as pleasing. The bagpipes were wonderful - what a neat feature to include! It was evident Michael loves what he is doing, and more importantly, loves his Savior! The concert was a blessing, and it was a true treat to hear "Friends" at the end! It was 29 years ago this past Oct. that he sang that song in concert @ Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Michigan = fond memories relived! Thanks Michael! Thanks musicians!

The concert itself was wonderful! The acoustics in the church were phenomenal! BUT it was almost a disaster for us. I had bought the best tickets. They came showing section, row & seat. Therefore we didn't feel the need to get to the concert super early. Planned to arrive 20 minutes early but the church had no traffic control so things were really backed up. Arrived with a few minutes to spare. Rushed to our seats. Saw section markets but no rows. The usher told us it was general seating by section!!!!! And they'd try to get us seats together!!! When you pay $60 per ticket you want to sit by your date!!!! If we'd known we would have done things differently. So take this as a warning - just because it lists reserved seating doesn't mean it really is!
