World Championship Ice Racing

We purchased the tickets with the impression we'd see some real racing. The event started 30 minutes late. The announcer and sound system was so poor that you could not hear him or understand what was going on. This was nothing more than a bunch of people riding around in circles on old equipment that kept on failing. The "course markers" kept getting dislodged and blocking the course, they wouldn't stop the "race", they just let the riders cut the course and go around the markers. No real racing at all. If you want an expensive night out watching bunch of jokers play around on ATV's on the ice, this event is for you!

I have seen this on T.V. before and seeing it in person was just too cool.

The event was great....however they didn't let us in right away & there were people standing outside the doors. Now if that's their policy ok...BUT...we could see 3 security people standing inside chit chatting while we were standing outside dealing with panhandlers asking for money. People with children...at the VERY least they could have stationed 1 outside & asked them to move along....not very safe.

Awesome event! We went as a family and we all agreed that we would like to see this event back in Toledo, but it should be better advertised.

I took my 6 1/2 yr old son to this and we had a blast! Lot's of action and entertainment. I would do it again if it came back into town!

The ice races are always entertaining and an overall good family outing! Very reasonable ticket prices make it affordable as well. They add something different every year to keep people coming back. The kids classes and this year the scooter classes make it more then just watching the pros race. We have gone every year and will continue to go as long as they have them. Even if your not in to racing its still a show worth seeing at least once.

This event was awesome! We all had a good time and it was very kid friendly! Loved all the extras included. I am definitely going again next year!!

That was the first time I have ever seen such an event. I have told ALL my friends with children to come next time the races come to town. My son and I are new fans.

The World Championship Ice Racing was a good time. It was fun to watch something that you don't see often - quad and motorcycle racing on ice as well as pit bikes and go-karts.

I took my son in law and grandsons. The boys enjoyed the show. The show started to drag on.

Ice racing was very good!!! Did not care to much for the armature's was boring and took away from the real racing.

The colisuem does not have a big enough arena for them, but overall it was fun! Loved the barstool race!

It was our first time attending this event. It was boring. The most exciting thing was watching the zamboni machine.

I had bought these tickets for my dad for Christmas and was very pleased. I thought I might get bored, but it was Fascinating! Everyone should go, it is so cool what they do on the ice and watching everybody tried to stay balanced and not spin out or topple over. There were some intense races!

The coliseum is just too small to host an event like this. While it is great for small kids, as an adult I found it boring. Tracks too small, laps too few, too few racers in races. I did enjoy the look on my 5 yr. old nephew as he watched the races.

Took my Grandson to see the Ice Racing and we had such a good time. The various types of racing was incredible. I will definitely go back again...

I was unable to go but my son went with his grandfather and cousin and it is all he has been able to talk about for two days! He had a great time!

We had a great time. We saw sports, courage, commitment and enjoyed it !

This was a great event and my son and I loved it. If they come back again next year we'll be there again.

Watching bikes, mini bikes, quads, and go carts racing on ice was definitely unforgettable!!! The riders were amazing and put their heart into the race, first time I have ever seen racing on ice, but definitely isn't the last !!!

This was our first time attending so we were unsure of what was going to happen and when. The racing started 15-20 minutes late. It was hard to understand the announcer. Other than that, we were right at the start/finish line so we got to see several close finishes. Our family had a lot of fun!

REALLY A GREAT TIME, BUT ITS LOUD SO IF YOU BRING THE LITTLE ONES GET THEM SOME EARPHONES OR EARPLUGS. IT WAS A FUN TIME AND RECOMMEND IT FOR ANYONE.

First time ever watched this on ICE and it was awesome! Definatly looking forward to attending more in the future! GREAT Show!

This was the second year to attend the Ice Racing in Fresno and I would go again next year! Missed seeing the street bikes they had before but what a great show. Recommend to all ages!

Fantastic fun for the whole family. We sat on the edge of our seats the entire time!

This was a great thing to do together as a family. My fiance and I took our 4 1/2 yr old daughter and she thought it was great! The fact that our ice couldn't hold up to their bikes was kind of lame but understandable with the intensity of it. There was a girl racer which my daughter idolized :). Very unique sport and would definitely suggest it to families with younger children. Plus, the arena wasn't very full, we got to move up to the second row. Talk about a close up ;)

Good fun. Would go again in the future to see this.

Show was okay, I thought it was going to be better.

The limbo was cool. Otherwise it was way to small of a track. Not enough riders and not enough action to keep me entertained. Ok for younger kids not adults.

I have to say I was excited for the event. Then I was deeply disappointed once it started. It looked like the "racers" were having more fun then the audience. It contained cheezy special effects. The racers had too small of a course, with minimum laps to race. Barely any passing occurred, first in the corner, first to the finish line; made for a boring night. We left, along with many others, after an hour. We were hoping it was going to get better, it didn't. It was a sad night! I was going to ask for a refund, but I considered it a donation.

We've been going to the ICE racing events in Bloomington every year since the first year they started touring there 10 years ago, and I have to say I was disappointed this year. The sound was horrible, no one in our section (or anywhere) could understand the announcer, and it started late. It felt like there were a lot of filler races, because there weren't as many pro racers as in previous years.(i.e. most prelim heats with 3 riders instead of 4.) An amateur rider literally almost took down the starting gate; he ran straight into it on the START. But in general, there just seem to be less "pros" each year, and less competitive races. Overall, I did enjoy it but it just isn't holding up to previous years. Kids love this event. If you've never been before and can get a good deal on tickets, it's worth checking out.

This is not a bad review on the Coliseum itself, but more about how the ICE race event was managed. For the $80 it cost for 2 adults and 1 child, I felt it was overprices for the performance. Lot of filler racing with very amateur wannabe's. Trying to start amateur heats was a mess and the start/finish gate almost fell over because someone ran into it before they even started. No one seemed prepared or looked like they new what was going on. Not much actual competitive racing. The Announcer was a joke. Screwing up names, pausing because he messed up or couldn't think of what to say next. The actual competitive racing was great and hats off to those racers for a good show, but for the money I expected a better organized event from the Coliseum. I can go to STL for same cost and see much better organized event. I think this was about a $10 per person event.

Very enjoyable evening! Lots of small kids there -- could have started a 1/2 hour or hour earlier. Great to see local amateur riders having some racing time as well.

It was a great event. I got to see my brother and cousin race. All the racers were really nice and met kids afterwards and gave autographs. Very cool

Over all it was a good time. It was a little disappointing that the "final" race was only 5 laps inside such a tiny arena. The halftime show also was a disappointment. I commend the guy for doing it with one leg bug come on, a wheelie, standing on the bike, and more wheelies. That wasn't really entertaining at all

Bought tickets as a gift and took the whole family. Everyone enjoyed it and we are so excited to see it again in the future.

Could've used some more music or smaller events. Unfortunate main announcer was not able to attend. Overall it was good.

Not a bad event for a one-time experience, but not worth the price (as evidenced by the completely empty high-dollar sections in the arena).

The actual event itself (the racing) was amazing. However, there was too much lag time in between the races for various things like the zambonie, intermission (which we really didn't need), etc. And it would have been cool to have a mini-stunt show during intermission if there had to be one instead of turkey bowling.

We had a really goodtime lots of fun not just a race they make it a show with scooter racing in addition to the quads and bike well worth the $17 front row tickets

All levels of ice racing entertained the crowds. Local contingent struggled having little ice to practice on here in Florida. Good Saturday evening

Of course, this was event was awesome! My kids loved every minute of it and our favorite was the mini go-karts. If you ever get a chance to see them, then don't even think about it; just go!

A must see! This is a night of fun for the whole family!

this is our 2nd and last time attending world championship ice racing. the racing was very boring after only a few " heats" and the outcomes matched the first time we went last year. it seemed that the race winners were pre determined. the exhaust fumes made us dizzy and it was ice cold in the arena due to having to keep the exterior doors open due to the heavy exhaust fumes.

nice event wish would come around more often miss the cold weather stuf

Ice racing is fun to watch. Some of the races are exciting and some are funny, like the guy trying to race on a flat tire. The only shortcoming is that there are too few entrents in some of the races.

the racing is action pack and fast. There is such a wide slection of racing there is some thing for everyone to watch and cheer for. fun for the whole family and it is at a great price.

Wish there were more of the go carts!! And maybe less amature stuff. Otherwise, there was alot of stuff going on. We had a good time and would probably go again.

This was a great family event lots of excitement and laughs would definitely go again when they come to town.

Great show, was hoping for another win for the wild child but over all a great time.

Two of my husband's favorite things are motorcycles and hockey on ice. I bought him tickets to this event for Christmas and it was favorite gift just anticipating it. The event reinforced that was a favorite gift!! We both really enjoyed seeing this exciting racing in person.l

The show was great, but we could not understand what the announcer was saying. We were only 3 rows up, but still could not understand him. All we could hear was the echo of his voice. Other than not understanding a word the announcer or the drivers said, the show was great !
