Excellent music and show! Music could have had the vocalist do a few more songs. She was amazing!

The best 4th of July experience we've ever had! Great people. Easy check in. Personable staff. Great seats!

Event started on time and was well worth the money for reserved seating as the lawn seating filled quickly and looked cozy. The lawn probably had the best viewing for fireworks, but we were still able to see them from our seats in section 101, Row A, plus our seats were dry and we had cup holders for our drinks :) The SF Symphony and Military Band were exceptional and entertaining and I enjoyed it immensely. The only downfall to the entire evening, and the difference between 4 and 5 stars, was the greater than 1 hour, exhaustive wait in a long line, with our car in park, anticipating getting out of the general parking lot....next time will pay the $20 for preferred parking. We saw many people walking or riding their bikes in...they must have been to the show last year. Also, minor detail, a video was shown and the screen was directly above our heads, so we were unable to see it. Would have been great to have a screen on the back curtain behind the musicians.

I was disappointed in this event. I felt the symphony's music selections were poor, being how we were there for the 4th of July. I had been to one of these concerts many years ago, and it was great, enthusiatic. This show looked like it was a budget production. They could have put the flag out during the performace for peats sake! I heard others around me with similar complaints. The fireworks were good- best part of the show. Getting out of the amphitheatre was a nightmare!

The symphony was great, the fireworks okay, but the parking issue will cause me never to attend another event at Shoreline. The concert was a little over 2 hours. Getting out of the parking lot took 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Fireworks to low and difficult to see. Pacing slow. Orchestra and guest orchestra out of sync. Over 1.5 hours to get out of parking. Very poor.

The show and the symphony are always great, the fireworks were a little above average. Can't give it five starts, because the prices for drinks and food are way too high. If you are going to charge $8.50 for a glass of wine (in the main bar area), you should at least have a selection of better wines. And $9.50 for garlic fries is outrageous, they are not that good. Live nation could do a better job with handicap parking. Shouldn't have to walk way around a barrier to get to the gate.

The concert and fireworks were spectacular as always. I would rate them "amazing". However, the concert was two hours long and it took us two and a half hours to get out of the parking lot to go home. That part I would rate "poor" at best. Therefore my unfortunate overall rating of "average". I expected a challenge leaving, as we've encountered that before, but this was way beyond reasonable. I will want to go again, but my wife says she hopes I enjoy it alone; she's not going again unless we figure out some better parking solution.

We really enjoyed the show. The SF Symphony was great, and it was really nice to see the military band. Our only issue was getting out of the parking lot. It took more than an hour! We thought this was a fluke, but after talking with friends we realize that it is always like this! Therefore, we will probably not come back to this venue.

The theme, Hero s , was not supported by the program. The celebration of our country s independence should be a display of patriotism. Honoring our country s armed services was given short shrift. The anthems of each service should have been introduced prefixed with an invitation for current and former member to stand to be recognized, and the anthem played long enough to be recognizable. This year s honoring of service members was disrespectful. The color guards of at least one of the service s would helped. This would have bolstered the pride that we all should have in our country as represented by our flag. While our country has inequities, it is still the best country on this planet. Try living elsewhere. This year s program had all the earmark s of being put together at the last minute. The theme of the program was not on the Ticketmaster site when tickets were first offered, only being posted later, indicative of being determined later. The introduction of each piece was a sop to the program theme, forcing unsuccessfully the piece to fit the theme. The program was salvaged by the spectacular fireworks show.

The selection of music was fantastic. The vocal offerings by Capathia Jenkins was touching and fantastic! The only reason the review is 4 stars is that we could only see half of the fireworks from the front portion of the amphitheater. We were sitting in section 102 in the 2nd row so we were able to experience live orchestra rather than amplified sounds. Loved it and will make it an annual tradition.

It was the first time I visited this amphitheatre. This show was great with the music and firework. The acoustic was good which made the music sounded wonderful. There was food and drinks to buy. It was an enjoyable experience. The only problem was parking and lining up to enter the venue. It took me more than 45 minutes to get into the show.

The show was very nicely done. Some guest singers attended as well and music scores were done for some the famous Pixar movies. The fireworks were great, couldn't ask for more! The reason for 4 stars is because the lines to enter were so long and I missed beginning of the show:(

I have gone to the SF Symphony and fireworks event for the past few years, and it s always amazing to listen to such wonderful music and see the fantastic fireworks. I would definitely go again and recommend it, but DO NOT get the VIP Mini Club upgrade. It is a complete waste of money. You get nothing special except access to a random little bar, but there are already plenty available in the general area. So you might as well save the $50 for the supposed upgrade and use it on food and drinks there. Just buy a regular seat ticket and you ll be good to go.

Great way to celebrate the Fourth of July! Fantastic music from the SF Symphony. They would play along with some movie clips which made it even more entertaining. A special guest sang a few popular songs as well. The highlight of the evening are the fireworks right above with the symphony playing. To sum it up...Wow!!! This is a wonderful venue for couples, friends and families. Sit in the reserved seats or bring your blankets and sit on the grass area.

came up from san diego, for another concert, and decided to catch the SF symphony 4th of july show as well. great venue with nice acoustics, great views from all seats. crisp, clear overhead screens for viewing as well. great food and beverage/alcohol options on grounds. great music with soloists and vocalist, plus super fireworks with symphony playing to cap it off! would have been a perfect score, one hour plus traffic jam on the way out killed some of the good feelings.... but not all! so off to charlies donuts on el camino real for cronuts!

This was my first symphony experience. The San Francisco quartet itself was a delight. I think the draw back was the positioning of the firework display (behind the venue itself) which is weird. It really doesnt matter where you sit if you going just for the fireworks. you could actually sit in the park by google for free if thats all you want to see. Thats pretty disappointing! Also the parking lot was a nightmare leaving the facility. The attendant had no control whatsoever directing traffic. One lane was leaving car by car while all the others were stopped for an hour with no movement. it was totally unorganized and drivers soon were funneling into that one lane. It was a free for all. when you pay 40 bucks to park, you would think there would be some sort of organization. I think if these issues were resolved it would be an ideal venue to see something like this. It is worth seeing but i think ill try the display at sf, in foster city on the lake, or even the park in front of google!

Viewing of the fireworks were difficult. The fireworks were shot off behind the concert area, opposite of concert SF symphony. The netting behind the lawn also blocked the viewing. I recommend for future events to have fireworks shot off in the direction of concert front and overhead.

We have to going to Shoreline to see the SF Symphony and watch fireworks for several years now. It is always a great show! The symphony plays family-friendly selections, and the fireworks display is terrific. They typically have a singer join them for one portion. This year they had a singer who had been on The Voice (I can't remember her name). She was wearing a dress coat down practically to her navel and her boobs were barely in her dress. Normally I wouldn't care about that in the least, but it was completely inappropriate for a family-friendly show. I could see the embarrassment on the part of some of the mothers around me with young sons. Otherwise, the symphony delivered a top notch performance, as always, and the fireworks were a blast! hehe Our first year it took three hours to get out. Now we pay for premier parking - totally worth it! Or park outside of Shoreline and walk or bike in.

The concert was nice and we enjoyed the music. But the lawn speakers were not on. So everything you heard was from the main speakers around the stage. It would have been much more of an exciting experience if the music had been more of a surround sound thing. Over all it was enjoyable, but with all the families and everyone talking, I wish the music would have been broadcast in the lawn.

The SF Symphony delivered a fantastic performance of familiar classical and popular music. The venue is well designed and comfortable with comfortable seating and good amplification for an outdoor setting. However, it took over 90 minutes just to get out of the parking lots. Bad design complicated by the staff bailing long before the last car was out. Find another way to get there or pay $40 for preferred parking.

The SF Symphony played a great selection of songs. I loved their shout-out to "Bay Area music" and played a song from Pixar's "Inside Out." They also played a set on John William's movie theme songs, with the relevant snippet from the movie playing on projector screens. The fireworks were also pretty good, with the SF Symphony playing patriotic songs in the background. I wished it went on for longer, but I would say it was a good 20 minutes? The only complaint I have is the venue parking. We were debating whether we should park further and walk, or just try parking at the venue lot. We decided to try for the parking lot, and going there was fine, as there were a lot of parking attendants directing you to your spot (and taking your $10 of course). However, once the show ended, it was a free for all S*** show. There were no parking attendants inside the parking lot to direct traffic, and I ended up sitting in my car for over an hour before my I just had it and muscled my way out of there cutting off everyone around me (sorry to those I cut off!).

The advantage of being inside Shoreline for the fireworks show is the fact that you get to hear the music synced with the fireworks show. It was pretty cool. We packed a picnic and ate it on the lawn. It was a bit breezy at the top of the hill, so we ventured down a bit.

We loved the symphony and the fireworks. The musical performance was outstanding and the fireworks were really fun. That was a great way to celebrate the 4th. The parking process both getting and getting out at Shoreline is quite bad. The flow is not controlled well, the lot is not lit for finding cars, and the exit circulation is quite poor. It put a real damper on the evening and would make us reconsider attending another concert there.

Unfortunately, the ticket issuer, Live Nation, didn't indicate on the ticket or the website that there were multiple activities before the concert at 8p. It simply said doors open at 5:00p. There were wonderful activities and shows we missed before the main concert, because these peripheral shows weren't stated anywhere in the purchasing process of the ticket.

I highly recommend that everyone do this at least once in their lifetime. The only issue was the traffic for parking. Shoreline opens up at 5 for the show at 8 and there is a reason for that. Make sure to get there early. The music was amazing and you could hear it no matter where you are sitting and the cheap seats have the best view of the fireworks!! The fireworks were in time with the music and it lasted for almost 20 minutes!! I am definitely doing it again next year!

The San Franciso Symphony and the Fireworks were awesome!!! However, it took an hour to get out of the parking area, onto the highway, so the whole experience ended on a lower note. Section 203, Seat 7 and 8 were the worst, because our view were the people going back and forth to their seats in the section in front of us, and the ushers' heads the WHOLE time!

We were surprised that the entire SF Symphony orchestra was performing and they did a superb job. The fireworks that accompanied them worked beautifully and lasted longer than we would have thought. Overall this was a great event. It was our first time to the 4th of July Fireworks spectacular. Having the SF Symphony Orchestra there playing in person was a real treat. The performance was great, loved the accompaniment to the Mickey Mouse Cartoon and particularly the Star Wars rendition for the fireworks. The performers who sung along to the Sound of Music tracks were energetic and well received. Single greatest disappointment and what MUST be fixed is the traffic/parking issue. It took us a ridiculous amount of time to get both into and out of the event. If you are going to offer paid parking on site you NEED to have more than TWO people collecting money from two stupidly long lanes of traffic. We left early and took over an hour to get into the event from the freeway, missed the singing of the star-spangled banner and the start of the event cause we were trying to park the car. Need less people waving traffic through intersections and more people collecting money. People can park a car next to another one in a row we're not idiots. On exiting the event the traffic was even worse waiting nearly two hours to get out and back onto the freeway. I've attended other events at Shoreline and it has never been this disorganized or poorly planned.

Great concert and fireworks...too bad we missed the first half. We arrived off the freeway 45 minutes before the concert and didn't get into the venue until after they went into intermission. We were within parking lot range and then they sent us and those behind us off to wonder through the Googleland and eventually way back to a remote parking lot that turned out to be very close to the venue...There was plenty of parking , terrible traffic control by the venue folks. Why not just send us that way in the first place we were on the same street/intersection. We attended this concert last year and had no problem. We will think about it maybe next year. The Sound of Music part was boring.

Had we know we would have sat on the grass. All we would have had to do is turn around. We had to make our way back up the stairs and find a place where the screen didn't block the view. This was my 4th year of attending this show with friends. It may be my last. The program was above the heads of most of the audience. The jazz pianist showed his virtuosity in his improvisations in the Rhapsody in Blue piece, but the audience only wanted to hear the United commercial. This was balanced by a childish medley of Disney songs. What ever happened to a concert of patriotic songs at a 4th of July concert? Exiting the venue after the concert was difficult made worse by the inept traffic control. It was obvious that no one trained those responsible for traffic control in how to conduct traffic. Fireworks were average.

The San Francisco symphony and the fireworks were spectacular. There were families with little kids and grandparents, and all seemed to have a good time. The only thing that really disappointed many families was the Radio Disney raffle after the show. They left with some unclaimed prizes!!! There has to be a way to call more winning numbers. After all, thousands of people were still there and ready to claim these prizes.
