Missy Elliott
Missy Elliott's performance at KCON 2013 alongside G-Dragon proved that the five-time Grammy winner is still a force to be reckoned with. The performance was reminiscent of Elliot's early live shows, as she strutted back and forth across the stage decked in a black and fluorescent-yellow leather jumpsuit. In concert, Elliott takes her audience to new levels of funk, with plenty of sexy style. With lavish dance moves, strobes and raw, assertive power, she infuses her live shows with enough energy to burn the place down.

My lady and I attended the concert. I was not familiar with T-Dogg's music but after that night...he can add two more to his fan base. Vashawn Mitchell was equally as great. Performing "Nobody Greater" as well as his other songs. The one who really walked off with the show was Ms. Kim Burrell herself. Her most poignant and bittersweet moment was her impromptu tribute her best friend Whitney Houston. Performing "I Look To You", Ms. Burrell even did a spot impression of Whitney. Despite technical problems with the sound at War Memorial, it was overall a great concert to be seen by all.

Great little arena. Very family friendly. Seats where great for a frugal price. Definitely locals, everyone knew everyone. Pretty much everyone was friendly but there was a little tension almost like invading their space :( I would definitely go again and ignore that. Had a great time.

All the dj's/performers put on amazing sets and I enjoyed every second of the event. Shout out to the paramedics and security and police officers for saving all of the lives that you did, never let the negative comments get to you.

We sat in section 212 row 12 and it was terrible. We could not see most of the arena, felt like we were watching the game through a long narrow window. The gondola in front of us covered most of the scoreboard and we could not see the banners or light show on the ceiling. 356$ dollars for three tickets and I would have rather watched the game at home. Terrible hockey game watching experience. We also had to lean way forward to see the section of ice closest to us if the play was along the boards and we could not understand the referees at all. They did a great job on the concourse but missed the mark on the upper bowl seating for sure. Very disappointing.

I am still amazed and in awe by the way Donnie and Marie can perform ( sing and dance ). I have loved them since I first saw the Donny and Marie show in the Philippines. I lived in AZ now and they are SUPER FABULOUS!! I love you guys and hopefully you remember the girl that keeps clapping and moving on the second row front. You are too awesome for words!!!!!

The Bagdad theater as always represents Portland well. The line wrapped around the building on the very first evening of summer, the long line happy, feet shifting, voices rising in anticipation of the event. Some clutched tickets in their hands proudly, others in groups or alone, eyes glossy, darting at the other faces there on Hawthorne that night. After filing in, exchanging my ticket for a signed book from the Author, and shifting through the crowded anteroom, I opted for the concessions line. Why not what could be better a nice cold "local made craft brew"? Choosing the IPA, clutching my book, 20 min. later ( long lines ) I headed up to the balcony open for such occasions as book talks and late night movies. Yet after looking down on the room I found a surprising lot of single seats unoccupied from the height. Ah HA!... scoring a good seat because I had a solo seat was a dream come true. 6 th row! The show was everything I hoped it would be. At times I am sure I resembled a little girl watching The Beatles unload off an air plane in the early 1960s, I envision myself pulling my hair and screaming until my eyes roll back in my head and I have a seizure. However that's just my reaction to Mr. Bourdain, not the venue or show. Other than the minor glitch with he sound system in the very beginning and one of your employees walking into the spot light 25 times, it would have been smooth, and perfect.
