This was the 3rd show in Florida and probably the last show of the year. Or possibly ever for that matter. These guys were so ahead of the times when they first hit the airwaves. It's still hard to categorize there music, as it is so unique. Unfortunately they got caught between the 80's and 90's music change over as well as internal conflicts. This show was absolutely phenomenal! The music has more than stood the test of time. They played damn near every song from the first 2 albums, and there isn't a bad one in the bunch. Hope they continue playing in the future, or maybe even putting out some new music. Truly a great band and a great group of guys!

The band was right on! Sebadoh plays great together. They played some older stuff and more recent. I would deffinetly go see them again!

What a blast!!! 7 Seconds still has it! After 30-something years, these old school hardcore vets still bring the goods on tour. With a setlist chock full of "hits" from their first release to their latest album, a great time was had by all. Driving and aggressive, yet catchy tune after catchy tune was the order of the night. Singalongs galore! Last minute added opener the Zero Boys also killed it by surprising everyone with how great they still are after all these years with their take on melodic hardcore. All the bands sounded great and the bouncers at the venue even let the occasional stage diver have their fun without getting booted out.

These guys can still bring it. It was a great show even though the venue is way too stuffy for these guys. Show 5* venue 1*. They really started to jam on the last few songs and I wish they had let it hang out a little more on some of the earlier tunes. All in all a really good night.

It was a great show with great sound and a great set list. Superchunk is re-invigorated by the political situation in our country. This new album is one of the best albums of their discography.

Adam Franklin and Swervedriver just keep getting better, smarter,- more powerful in their performance. This was not just a band replaying their songs from the early 90's- They did play songs from all 4 earlier albums, plus a few great ones from the one they just released, but every song was an intense structure of sound, re-invented each time they play it. Consistently loud, but not overwhelming-there were moments of shimmering beauty throughout and Adam floated his voice over and through each composition. At the best times, the feeling was something like seeing a great jazz musician, like Miles Davis or Mingus play- a few minutes of explanation in cultured tones- then we are thrown into a sprawling, sonic experience. The encore set featured a thrilling version of Last train to Satansville, the band's take on a classic blues theme turned into a sort of existential trip to mental hell, and a glorious re-invention of 'Duel" that as far as I can remember, finished the night.

I had not been to a show at Ludlow Garage since 1971. This is a nice intimate seated venue. Most of the crowd was respectful, except the folks talking on the front row, who received bad looks from the band. Sound mix good, but I couldn't hear backup singers. Jesse's vocals not as rich as they were, but he can still hold a note. Band sounded great. Ridgetop, Ride the Wind, Darkness Darkness, Get Together. Good show.

First of all, made this one of my top five punk rock shows ever...and what a show it was! The Local 662 venue in St. Pete is great and the perfect size for an amazing "punk rock" experience! The opening act: "Johnny Unite Us" continues to make a name for themselves  in the Tampa Bay Punk Scene! They played a very energetic set and they certainly set the mood for the rest of an unforgetable evening..I expect to see more of them and you should look them up too! "Gonad Rehab" took over and immediately kicked things into "hyperdrive"! These guys grab you by the throat and won't let go until your face is purple and just when you think you had enough, they get faster! Their cover of "I don't want to hear it" by Minor Threat made me wanna start a fight and I'm a wimp so that should tell you something! Look them up! Now! The opening bands have done their part and now it was up to the "Brigade" to bring it! They opened with "Violence" which shows how confident they were with the set they had prepared for this show! The guys played loud, fast and perfectly! Shawn Sterns vocals continue to spread a sense of urgency and emotion that it's impossible to turn away from and in the same way they did 30 years ago! They had the crowd going and by the time they started playing "Modest Proposal" which is one of my all time favorite songs I had no energy left! I had to reach deep and got the batteries going until the end of an unforgetable set! Their skill and level of playing defy belief! They were amazing!  But that was not the best part! The best part is how approachable and friendly these guys are! They give new meaning to the word fame! As well known and legendary as they are already among us punk rockers they took the time to greet everyone, took pictures and Shawn Stern even bought me a beer! How amazing is that? So if there's anything I would like this review to do is to send a message to all those young kids listening to Punk Rock music in their bedrooms and reading good books and feeling different right now! I was a skinny guy from Puerto Rico the first time I heard "Violence" with no hope of ever meeting the guys who played such an awesome tune but sometimes dreams do come true! I just shared a couple of beers with Shawn Stern from The Youth Brigade, got up on stage on sang "I Hate My Life! It can happen! Don't give up!
