Despite the score clock crashing mid game, we enjoyed ourselves. The rink smells like locker room (like most hockey rinks - there's no place like home), the seats were great, the beers were well priced, the bathrooms were clean and stocked, and the staff was friendly. Typical junior league hockey. We even got to see a local kid play.

Took our 5 yr old grandson to his first hockey game and it happened to be kids night ! We couldn't have gone to a better place for him to have the time of his life, everyone at the Cambria County War Memorial was fantastic all the kids were treated like they owned the place! Every sponsor gave each kid something ( free meal tix,shirts,balls etc) W e will DEFINITELY be returning for the next kids night!!

Great hockey at a great price. Family/ kid friendly. The opening night pyrotechnics that filled the arena with smoke and delayed the start of the game by almost an hour, was a seen right out of the movie "Slap Shot", or at least it should have been. If you were'nt there you missed a great show. The Tomahawks are a great organization that truly care about their fans and it shows.

Pretty much anywhere you sit in Johnstown War Memorial, you can get a good view of everything happening on the ice. Play itself is of higher quality than you might expect from amateurs, especially this young. Food, beer & merch are all far more affordable than at NHL or AHL games, and the overall experience is far more fan friendly.

What a great time for our kids!! Parents enjoyed it as well! It was our first trip out to see a hockey game. Sadly it was the last home game of the season, but we are already planning our trip out in the fall...considering season tickets even!! What a great night for a family outing.

This was our groups second game this year and each time our group is getting bigger. We are all considering season tickets next year. Great cheap fun! No way you could get nhl tickets this cheap, especially right against the glass! Go tomahawks!!!!

It was fun way to experience hockey live. Much cheaper than the NHL, but still a fix for the live action. Sat behind the bench, and it was a cool experience, but hard to get into the game. I would definitely go again.

This team may not play like the NHL All-Stars, but they are the most fan and community involved team we have had yet. The promotional games with the free gifts and events are very family oriented. The team is very friendly with fans as well. The games are fast paced and hard hitting plus all the seats have excellent view of the ice. I hope this team will stay in Johnstown. Parking is a little difficult, and food lines are a little long but it is completely worth it.

Had a great time watching The Johnstown Tomahawks! It was a great substitute for a little hockey since the NHL season has been such a bust! The staff at the War Memorial were so accommodating and friendly, snacks and beverages were reasonably priced! It was a great family day!

The Tomahawks played an excellent game but lost in the shootout. They skated well and made few unforced turnovers. Excellent venue and good food. Great way for a hockey fan to spend New Year's Eve.

The game was fine. The ticket process was an absolute nightmare. We essentially purchased a seat that didn't exist. Our tickets were to be right behind the goal. Since twenty tickets we sold in a nineteen seat row, we were left with 2 tickets for 3 people. Instead of great tickets, I wound up with my 11 year old son sitting on my lap. The ticket people and seating assistant we of no assistance at all.

I wasn't sure what to expect when going to watch the Tomahawks play. I was amazed by how hard they played not to mentioned how hard they hit. Definitely was a good time just wish they didn't run out of pizza at the arena haha. Definitely plan on going back to another game. Only thing different is I definitely will not sit in the spot i did. It was a giant pain trying to look around the coaches and players who kept getting in the way. Maybe section 15 next time.

It's nice to have hockey back in Johnstown and the team has been playing well. They won this game 5-0. With no end in sight for the NHL lockout, the Johnstown Tomahawks offer the next best thing. It's a close and intimate arena and they've had games there for years so they know how to make it a good fan experience. I recommend going to the War Memorial Arena and seeing some great hockey! And tell Chopper "Hi" for me.

Who would have known that the war memorial double books seats just like airlines. I got to the game with my family and somone else was in our seats. I spent the rest if the night trying to console a very sad little boy.

The Johnstown Tomahawks game was amazing! The Cambria County War Memorial was very easy to find, and easy to get out of after the game. The facility was super clean and the bathrooms smelt good and looked good also! The food smelt delicious wish I knew it would of been so good I wouldn't of ate before the game. Seats were also decently priced. Lots of fun and had a great time! Will definitely be back to watch the tomahawks next season!

Zamboni broke down, ice rink was exceptionally cold. Otherwise it was a typical sporting event. Although we did have to leave end of 2nd period because the rink was exceptionally cold.

Venue is the classic War Memorial. In pretty good shape for it's age. Very easy to get to and get around. Decent concessions and prices. One odd thing, my seats were listed as 'Club - Lounge'. They were good but I have no idea what 'lounge' they are talking about.

I enjoy taking my 7-year-old grandson to Tomahawks games because of the family-friendly atmosphere. I especially appreciate the member of the Jets who, after the warm-ups were over, came back and tossed a "real, cold puck" to my grandson. He enjoys the game and the fast action of hockey. Getting to talk to some of the Jets before the game was a bonus, and getting a puck was icing on the cake. His first question after we left was; "when is the next game Grampa?" Taking time for the young fans really pays off.

Great game! Exciting hockey. Fun intermission entertainment. We had seats right behind bench...fun being in the action but view was blocked at times due to coaches standing on bench. At times I saw nothing but the coach's back. Would take a row or two behind next time or the side opposite the benches. Overall great fun, great hockey, great prices!

Always love going to watch the Tomahawks. When you cant afford to watch the Pens this is a good hockey. I always pay the extra few bucks and sit on the glass in the party pit. Great seats and always an awesome crowd. Johnstown loves their hockey and it shows when they have a good crowd turn out

Watching these games of the Johnstown Tomahawks is great. Lots of fun and excitement. We attended the next to last game this year 2014. It was fan appreciation night. Lots of freebees given away. The staff at the Cambria Co. War Memorial is friendly and helpful. We always enjoy attending events there, especially the hockey games. If you want a nice evening out, I would recommend attending. Getting tickets is very easy. I have no connection with the Tomahawks or the War Memorial. We live in 40-50 miles away.

This was my families first Tomahawks game and we had a great time. Very family oriented event. We loved seeing all the fundraising efforts promoted and the involvement of local businesses and organizations included. Can't wait to see our next game April 8th.

The arena is small and quaint, very easy to get to. $15 to sit right on the boards. You cannot beat it! The mascot came and sat right beside my son. He had a great time!

the game was ok. what I didn't like was when they turn off all the lights and started to announce the vets, you could not see the people standing up in there seats. cause it was pitch dark. then they play the national anthem in the dark.. plus I didn't like them turning off all the lights in between the periods and then turning the lights back on during the game. for people who have problems with there eyes this is hard for there eyes to adjust. don't care to go to another game. I might time will tell.

Taking our grandchildren to see to Johnstown Tomahawks play brought back old memories from when I would drive to Johnstown to watch the Chiefs play. The kids had a great time and so did gram and pap. They were excited and the awesome thing was they got to see a shoot out, which the Tomahalks won! Its a kinda of a long drive from State College but worth it. We shall return. It was a shame to see so many empty seats, so if you ever want to go watch a good hockey game the money spent was well worth it. While we were there we found out Rick Boyd is the general manager, he was a former chiefs player when we went, keep up the good job Rick.

The game itself was great. Awesome atmosphere. Normal prices for beer and concessions. My particular seats were directly behind the players box/benches. Many obstructed views. All in all, good event, plan on going again, no question about going for different seats in the future.

We had glass seats that were great . The Johnstown war memorial is a nice venue with an outside smoking area . The beer prices were good at $6 for 25 oz cans . Parking was fairly close and the venue is easy to enter and leave . I will be going there more often after this experience .

The Johnstown Tomahawks and the Keystone Ice Miners are always a great matchup in the NAHL Junior Hockey League. This game was no exception!! Highly recommend seeing a game if you are in the area.

Event tickets for Tommahawk game should never be sold to public in sec.# 3 row B,as the view is obstructed by the coach and visiting players.

Well, sadly, the Tomahawks didn't really show up for the game, but the arena is small and rowdy and the hockey was fun. The venue is small enough that there is no bad seat. We enjoyed the reasonably priced food and beverages and parking was cheap and plentiful. Highly recommended.

it was faith and family night which i know is always crowded. so i got tickets online to make sure we could sit together. the only tickets offered online was glass seats which sound cool, but the home team never sits down, plus the coaches stand in your way too. we had to get other seats.
