After the intermission Bjork's voice sounded like it was giving out a bit. She wasn't hitting her high notes and her voice was pitchy. Her choice of songs in the second half felt like they were random or optional, lacking the cohesive passion of the first half; not a compelling set list. Second half her short dress was wavy too informal and the heavy dark clogs on her feet, ditto. Huge let down after the Vulnicura music and costume of the first half. Second half of the show had intermittent lighting problems and visual back projection problems. First quarter of the second half of the performance the stage was bare of any set design projections. And when they did show up they were projections of slimy snails finally reverting to her signature visual tone projections in a different color palette than the first half.

Goose bumps from the beginning to the end. Bjork is the most innovative artist of our time. Her talent is unlimited, she can conquer any genre or musical style she sets her mind to. Admittedly, you either love or hate her there's no middle ground with Bjork. Her show started off with songs from Biophilia then led the crowd on a tour of her greatest moments from her previous recordings. When she started a thumping club beat version of 'Army of Me', she had the entire crowd in the palm of her hand and never let go for the rest of the way. Her encore 'Declare Independence' from Volta was dedicated to Trayvon Martin. Raise your flag, raise your flag higher and higher...Bjork is the queen.

I love concerts, therefore I expected a lot. Bjork was awesome in general and her song echoed very lovingly at the Hollywood Bowl. I especially loved how after every song she would let out an ever so cute "Thank You," to her appreciative audience. However, it almost feels like it should have been at an opera house where's there's rules against crazy behaviour and flash photography...wait no...no photography at all please. So, my issue was with everything else. T-shirt selection: three. None had Bjork, or the tour dates, and the designs left a lot to be desired...bummer. Bought one anyway :/ . Video screens on the sides that allow the people in the nosebleeds to see: OFF...that is from her. All they displayed was the same video that was behind her on stage; no Bjork, nor her crazy hair, nor her costumes, nor the choir, could be seen, or guessed at...unless of course you googled her later and clicked on images. Lighting: no budget. The concert was devoid of much lighting design or anything that would envelope the audience and make us feel like we're right there in the moment with her, nope, nothing....however there was minimal flashing and crazy lights (on stage only) for the very last song when her and her choir go crazy and look like they're having a blast, and you're left feeling like, "oh look, they look like they're having fun over there, well that's nice..." And then that was it, thank you for coming. So even though I absolutely love Bjork, the concert was a bit of a let down.

Bjork is astounding; this show was amazing & absolutely genious. The combonation of this venue and album and artist I will remember as a once in a lifetime experience. If I had musical Tesla coils I'd use them everyday.

WOW- what an amazing show! First of all, the venue is so cool. Even the entrance to the museum had been "Bjork-ified." I wish I was able to get there at 6:30 to check out more of the exhibits! Next, the actual setting for the performance was so cool! The stage was round and in the middle. It seemed like a private show - Bjork was so close!! Videos and moving features only enhanced the awesomeness. The sound was fantastic. I am so so so so glad that I was able to attend this show. Spectacular. Also - she played a few of my favorites that weren't from Biophilia! The pleasant surprises lasted throughout the evening!

Literally mind-blowing. The venue (NY Hall of Science) was amazingly beautiful. The stage setup was awesome with the crowd on all sides and only a rope between the crowd and the stage. At points, Bjork was directly in front of us, like 5 feet away. Five or six double-sided video screens were arranged in a circle above the stage... playing visuals from the Biophilia ipad aps (which could be played in another part of the venue... along with other Bjork-related exhibits). There were large, custom made instruments on stage such as a tesla coil, a gamelan/celeste organ, and some other strange, huge objects. Along with a roughly 10 person Icelandic choir, a live drummer, harpist, and "DJ", Bjork sang all the songs on Biophilia plus more from her past in a performance lasting about 2 hours. The finale was amazing and everyone was blown away. The first night of NYC residency at the Hall of Science in Queens was out of this world.

I was literally less than 5 feet away from Bjork while she wailed into the microphone the songs "Mutual Core" "Hollow" " Thunderbolt" and "Pagan Poetry." To be that close and see her intensity, her focus, her passion-- is inspiring. I'm convinced that this venue was the PERFECT venue for this show, this album. The instruments invented for the show, the use of iPads, the production value-- the wonderful choir-- that SICK drummer-- could only be done in the round and with less than 700 people. The show was about an hour and a half with two encore numbers. Bjork delivered. Completely. Best yet-- the VIP ticket I bought was completely worth it. I got to meet Bjork after the show and see the AMAZING project going along side this fantastic exploration of science and music.

Bjork is one of the best vocalist of the century, sounded great friday nite in Queens, looked great too, but only if you could catch a glimpse of her straining your neck to look past all the obstruction of a very poorly designed set, and choir back up girls blocking your view. Set design, lighting, and distracting girls in terrible shiny costumes looked like a high school production, from 1988, at a midwestern HS with a very small budget for the theatre department. It was a disaster visually. Best part were the musicians, harp player, percussionist where superb, sound was mixed well too. but That was it..At many points I just closed my eyes and listened, but I wonder should I have done that, with the CD in my apartment, and looked at poster of Bjork, and saved myself $150 instead?

Ok, I was very excited to see Bjork, this was to be a very intimate show at the Science Hall. I arrive at 7:30. I grabbed a glass of wine , I see a few downtown celebrities, Kim Gordon, As Four, some famous fashion photographer. I bought the 150.00 seats because.well standing and general admission can trying. we go to our seats and dispite having seat numbers are told the seats are first come first serve. OK???? So no problem we moved and figured it out. THE THE PROBLEM ALL OF THE SEATS WERE LIMITED VIEW..THE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS BLOCKED THE VIEW IN THE BACK...HELLLO HARP, THERE WAS A SPECIAL MOVING PROP AND A LARGE ORGAN. WE MOVED TO THE OTHER SIDE AND HELLO DRUMS, HELLO STUFF.. THIS IS COMPOUND BY THE LARGE CHOIR SHE HAS PERFORMING ON STAGE AS WELL. I REALIZED THAT THEY PUT ALL THE celebrities in the area with the best venue of the stage STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT . The music was lovely , howeve on a small stage she has at least a dozen woman " dancing" and singing around her. the stage was too crowded to really get a sense of her as a performer and it was under lit ( bjork in the dark..anyone) Perhaps this will play better on a larger stage but as a show was a fail and was disappointing. The fact I paid 350.00 when I could have paid less is crap. The management knew the seats were crap and should of price the show better. Also at that price perhaps the Talent should play to the audience spending the money and not not the "cute" people upfront. I get all the conceptually stuff but it is a show of the talents artistically ability to pull it off , with all the gear on stage and the choir ,the bad lighting, it was muddled... The price was just not worth it for me.

Biophilia Live was the best musical performance I have attended. I hadn't seen Björk previously, and I was expecting a "rock concert" vibe, but this is really something more on par with the Metropolitan Opera or LA Symphony in terms of pure quality. Björk has put together an astounding event, rife with professionalism and surgically precise musicianship. She never once missed a pitch, and her voice sounded identical to the albums. Still, even with all the technological wizardry and musical precision, Björk managed to make the whole thing feel very organic; her preparation and painstaking rehersal of the choir was so good that it became invisible, giving the whole thing a pagan campfire air. Two hypersmall criticisms: 1. the seats/standing are excellent (you are literally 10 feet away from the performers wherever you are), and Björk does a good job rotating to give everyone a view. That said, she relished a bit too much attention on the $1,000 seats. Yes, they are paying 10x as much as everyone else there and mayhap should get 10x more Björktime, but this seemed an odd élitist statement from an artist that doesn't strike me as such. 2. The sound system is beyond compare, but the undulating concrete walls in the hall of science occasionally turn everything into a bit of a sonic muddle, particularly when harmonies get very intricate or volume gets very loud during the encores. A small complaint though as sound overall was very good.

I've been to a whole lot of concerts and I have never seen anything like Bjork. We saw her at MSG at the end of the Volta tour, but before that saw her at the Apollo at the start of the Volta tour, the day Volta was released. Bar none the absolute best live show I have ever seen. And her opening act Spank Rock was also awesome (at MSG opener was Santogold before she hit). Perfection.

Bjork, the band, and the chorus sounded amazing. The only thing that was disappointing was that there was no video of them on the big screens. I saw on her website (the day after) that she wore some really interesting costumes so it would've been nice to see that on the screens. If I'd known that, and also that the stage would be super dark with only dim spotlights I would've brought my binoculars. She was on the screens for a minute at the beginning but from the message on the screens before the concert started, she didn't want anyone taking photos or videos. I guess the screens would've made it easier to do that? I guess a smaller venue would be better to see her. All in all though, the music is what matters and that was really good.

Björk is always a treat. The show was stunning and avantgarde. The only downside was the AWFUL opening act. I could not find any mention of the band's name, so I don't know who it was. As for the "music" these morons were playing, it was just overly distorted, booming noise. Yuk.

Because she hadn't played in L.A. in almost six years, I decided to attend both this show (Hollywood Bowl) and one of her Palladium gigs, thinking they'd be considerably different. The Palladium gigs were advertised as being Biophilia shows, so I assumed this one would feature some older material. I was wrong. However...the fact that I expected something a little different did not at all take away from this show. Bjork is an indescribably amazing talent who is probably not capable of putting on a bad show. It was tough seeing her in such a big place after having sat mere feet from her at the Palladium, but the music was of course amazing. If you have not seen Bjork live - or even if you have - you really should go. There is no one else like her, and no other concert experience like this.

Having see her on 2 other occasions I can say that this show was very average. She seems to be simply going thru the motion and doing the minimal required to get the show done. Not really much energy or motivation expressed in this particular performance. Disappointed really.

Amazing!!! I had been waiting 10 years to see her, and since she wasn't going to San Diego(which was fine because the Hollywood Bowl was beautiful) I decided to drive to La! From the visuals to the fact that she wanted everyone to enjoy the experience and not sit there and take pics or record it was great. What an experience, hands down the best concert I have ever been to, and I have been to over 1,000 I am assuming. Her voice was the best part, she sounded even better live than on her cds!!! Soooooo glad I chose the h. Bowl cause she played more of her old stuff my favorites including Hunter, Joga, and Unravel!!!!

Bjork will just go on forever sounding amazing, both in voice and music. She continues to evolve and provide something creative and beautiful. She actually surprised me how much she can "rock out", especially at her age. I will never miss another Bjork show, and I suggest you do the same. The opening band, who's name escapes me, probably because I'd just assume forget them, was seriously lacking. I sort of understand why they were chosen, because their sound is more or less compatible with Bjork's (music only), and they are trying to be really "cool". LOL That's the best I can say about them. The front man can not sing to save his life and it's pretty annoying. Yes, some famous "singers" can't really sing (Bob Dillon comes to mind), but this guy seems to think he actually can sing. Most of the songs drown him out for the most part, thankfully. Nothing original though, and very forgettable.

I loved it. Amazing show. Only CON was that the upper deck video / LCD's were not used enough to show the performance. The second song played on live video of Bjork and then not again for the rest of the show. Although it did show the same projections as what were on stage, the LCD's were fuzzy. Perhaps you will replace them soon.

I was excited to see Bjork in concert because I really enjoy her music but more than anything because of her artistry. Although I'm happy I saw such an established artist live, I was very disappointed in the overall show. It was SOOOOO bland. It was SOOOO impersonal. The only thing we got from her besides the selected musical repertoire was a "thank you". That's it!! Oh, once she said "thank you very much". On top of of this, impersonal was made worse by not showing close ups of her throughout the show. That would've at least given you a better view of her slight movements or a facial expression. I can say I saw Bjork live, but it was nothing to write home about. Disappointed.

I don't know of a soul that didn't love the show-at least the couple of hundred people around me. Bjork's state presentation of her videos and electronic show were an added plus to the show. Her voice was spot on, the performance started to the minute on time. I was not aware that we would not be able to see her actual performance because the large screens showed just her electronic videos and while they were wonderful (and new even for some of the older songs) I had NO IDEA what her headress or actual stage costume looked like until the next day!!! We missed the encore, maybe it provided the close up stage view. This was the only disappointment for me, other than that, it was kinda like being in church. In a good way. As you said sweetly "Thank You" , Bjork.

The Hollywood Bowl holds 18K people. The large video screens throughout the bowl were never used to show close ups of Bjork's face, band or back-up singers. You never felt connected to the artist or the show. She was a small speck on a large stage. Which is a shame because her outfits and expressions are amazing. And the crowd was horrible. We were sitting in front of someone who would talk over the beginning of each song and explain to her friends how that song was done differently at the Palladium and of course how much better the Palladium show was.

First off, I'm a big fan so I was very excited to see her live for the 4th time over the last 20 years. The show was very mellow in a minimalist sort of way. Her voice is absolutely amazing but the music suffered power and strength. The biggest complaint from everyone around me was that they never put her on the Jumbotrons (large screens) so we never actually saw her perform. Not sure if she did this intentionally or not but unless you sat in the first 20 rows for big $$$, you never actually had a good view of Bjork. Big bummer as she is so visual. We did see plenty of squiggly lines and starfish on the screens.... whoopee! FYI: if you see this tour in a big venue sit close or you may want to pass on this one...

Lazy, lazy, lazy. I have always been a huge Bjork fan, and I have seen her perform through the years, including Hammersmith in London. But this was the laziest performance ever, and I wonder why I didn't just stay home and listen to the CDs. If she speaks not one word to the audience beyond a repetitive 'thank you,' and the two musicians on stage make most of the sound from pro-tools, and the chorus do the same lazy bopping thorughout, and Bjork does nothing but a shuffling jig, then it is as if the audience is being ignored. No connection, no care, no giving. Not even the video graphics were leading edge, like Bjork's used to be in the days of LynnFox. More like watching screen savers, with a few blips of creativity. I am not alone in my reaction -- there was even a heckler in my section shouting to demand "why am I not at home listening to the CD!" My feelings exactly.

We took the Park and Ride bus from Pasadena--great, convenient service and the best way to get out of the Bowl quickly after the show. No waiting for your car to be "un-stacked" in the parking lot. The Hollywood Bowl was clean. All of the employees we passed (and I mean every single one) greeted us, many offered to help us find out seats. We bought a bottle of wine and a beer (which cost us close to $50). Why lease events mean we can't bring the normal boozy picnic isn't explained and buying alcohol on-site is pretty expensive. The opening band was awful. Literally just noise. No one around me seemed to enjoy it either. It was so loud. The opener wasn't disclosed before the event. Maybe they didn't have one lined up. Sounded like the venue just pulled in some employees working the refreshment stand and handed them bass guitars and a drum set and told them to go to town. Bjork's performance was great but it would have been nice to have more of the stage action projected on the screens. I understand Bjork was running her crazy starfish slides on most of the screens during the beginning of the show but halfway through the performance, the screens were blank--not being used for anything. We were left to just watch tiny Bjork dance on stage from afar. And our seats weren't the farthest away from the stage. I can only imagine how hard it was to see from the very back. I saw a picture of Bjork's second/final outfit after the show and discovered she was wearing the most insane porcupine headdress. The porcupine headdress would have been nice to experience live, you know, since I paid to see the Bjork live. I paid enough to have the Hollywood Bowl experience (tickets, Park and Ride, drinks). It would have been nice to have seen more of Bjork.

Part of the charm of seeing Björk live is watching an incredible voice come out of such a tiny woman. I've seen her before and it can be an fantastic experience to watch her prance around the stage, belting out crazy notes, and ending every song with and adorable "sank you!" Why it was that she did not allow The Bowl cameras to project her face, or even her body, onto the screens so those of us more than four rows back could see her, is beyond me. Her second song was the only song she allowed to be projected to the wider audience, past that it could have been a body double on stage for all I know. She even took the time to change clothes, which she released pictures of online the day after and looked incredible, but what's the point if you can't see it until you sit down to your desk the next day? Its true that her voice was still on point, but I will never see her live again unless its in a much smaller venue.

I love Bjork and she was on my bucket list of shows to see (top 3) but this concert was very disappointing. I had mid-range seats ($117 each) and I could not see her at all. There was no camera person near her that took video to feed to the large screens so people could see. Sometimes there was nothing at all on the screens and when there was, most of the video seemed dated and not nearly as interesting as her music videos. That said, seeing Hyperballad live is one of my fav experiences. She sounded fantastic!

Bjork last night at Roseland . . . sigh. Like her country of Iceland - verdant, harsh, ethereal, volcanic, geysers, raw-ness, myths, lush, barren, drama. . . Bjork is complex. Her beats deep, her voice soaring, and all the while, she prances lightly, effortlessly, like a pixie. Her caravan includes one guy running loops, sounds, etc., 20 whirling dervish choral singers and a harpist. So much energy coming from the stage, as to lift the hairs on my arms and back of my neck. Bulgarian Women's Choirs meet Mozart meet . . . well, Bjork. She crosses the line between complex harmonies and the most satisfying pop deliciousness one could ever imagine. She is magical and leaves me breathless. Generous, joy, spirited. Gorgeousness. Thank you for your gift, Bjork.

Show was great. Björk is amazing. Difficult to get a good place to stand. Some of the big instruments blocked some of the view. Photo/video strictly prohibited. The security personell saw to that... But the music and the background visuals are mindblowing. Loved it.

Amazing show! Sound, Lights, Instruments, Choir and of course Björk! I was one of the first 50 in line, got into the Roseland Ball room dropped my coat ($3) grabbed a beer ($7) and head straight to the stage. There's a VIP seating area(ground) close to one side of the stage, and the other 3 sides are an amazing experience up for grabs, although it seemed like everyone could appreciate the show, as Björk and Graduale Nobili would move around the stage from song to song. Photography was not allowed, and as much as I would like to have a great close-up picture of Björk, I'm glad that I didn't miss a second of her performance. Being 5ft from Björk, and the entire set up is both priceless and unforgettable. The Harnessed Teslacoil was mind blowing and frightening. I kinda wanted to see a bird fly into it. The Pendulum Harp, Gameleste and the Pipe Organ are signs of evolution in music, nature and technology. Manu Delgado (my corner) is an amazing Percussionist, and I couldn't understand some of his instruments. I'll do some research I guess. Zeena Parkins, representing the Newyorkers, played the harp flawlessly. The beautiful icelandic girls from Graduale Nobili were also amazing, bringing life and joy to the stage. The show's encore set (Possibly Maybe, Náttura, Declare Independence) was the best way to end this amazing journey. I want that to be the end of every Saturday night in my life. Áfram íslands!

Quite possibly the best concert experience of my life. To start, the ticket-buying process was a breeze, and my friend and I ended up with great Center Orchestra seats. There was a brief scare when Ticketmaster mistakenly sent an email to seated ticket holders that was meant for those with General Admission tix, and I briefly thought we'd lost our seats, but the email was quickly recalled, and everything from there went perfectly smoothly. Kings Theatre is gorgeous, but I never saw it before the renovations, so I can't compare it to its former self. And of course, most importantly, the performance was breathtaking. Björk's vocals were in great form, and she delivered them with passion and sincerity. Alarm Will Sound really brought the music to life, both the new Vulnicura pieces and works from Björk's back catalogue. There was also a brief moment where Björk stumbled on the hem of her dress and almost crashed into one of the string players, but they didn't so much as break the rhythm. And the combination of Arca and Manu Delago gave the music a lot of muscle and a sense of the unexpected. The highlights of the night for me were "Family," "Notget," and "Come to me" because they really brought all these forces together. Last night I found out a friend missed out on Björk's April 1st show at City Center because of an issue with StubHub, so I'm really grateful that Ticketmaster made the process so easy for me.

Bjork played 14 songs 9 of them were from her new album. I'm glad I got to see her play considering that I feel she's one of the best artists of our time. I just can't believe she didn't play one of her many hits: I would of settled for "hyperballad" or "All is Full of Love".

Great venue. Goosebumps during the first song. Clear, beautiful voice. Have to admit to dozing off during the first half. The second half was much more engaging. Could actually see Bjork after she removed the weird head dress thing and the songs were more energetic.

I have been waiting to see Bjork for over 15 year. This was a total bucket list event for me. It was a rights of passage. I felt like rainbows and unicorns were flying around me. Bjork was onstage with an 18 piece band mostly strings. SO EPIC. The music was haunting. There was a 20 minute intermission. The show started at 3pm and was over around 5:30. What a dope time for a Sunday! I came in from CT for this show and I was back in New Haven by 10pm. My life is no complete. My only issues was. You are not allowed to take photos or video. After waiting this long. I was pissed I could not take a 20 second clip of all is full of love. I tried. Trust me I did. Kings, you need to rethink this one. We are in an age of technology. It's a good thing. :-)

I've seen Bjork's live performances before, & they've been some of the best shows I've ever attended. However, this show, supposedly "stripped down", was slow, dull, lackluster, and very down-beat. The visuals projected behind the string performers were not very interesting, & in a way they contributed to the "one-note", plodding feeling of the show overall. Bjork's voice still sounds amazing, the instruments sounded good, but the songs were all dreary, slow-paced, & "down". And the biggest "hit" she sang was saved for the 1 song encore. If I had seen Bjork only perform live at this particular show, I'd never bother to see her again. But I know she's capable of putting on incredible shows that can take you through every emotion, high & low, thrill you visually, and get you up on your feet and dancing your butt off. So I'm hoping this is the last time she does this kind of show, where she just paces across the stage singing her most depressing songs. In a beautiful theater like Kings Theater, I expected more theatrics, more "show". I could've almost gotten the same thing out of this show by just staying home & listening to her albums.

I was absolutely blown away. A week and a half later and I still cannot get the show out of my head. As always, Bjork's stage presence was captivating, and the wardrobe was beautiful. I especially loved the choreography with the choir, and thought that each choir member having their own mic really added to the sound. The lights and lazers were awesome and it was overall, for lack of a better word, magical. I wish I could relieve it again and again.

I've seen Bjork once before in NYC and it was at a more intimate venue, but the Echo Beach location luckily wasn't corporate-crazy-large and was still intimate enough to really impress everyone equally! Fun location, especially at night when the moon is shining down and the cityscape is in the distance. Though still sticking true to the Biophilia theme, this show was pulling songs from all over Bjork's wonderful discography, Bjork was really feeling every single lyric, and the crowd was in awe!! Bjork was smiling, and each performer and stage crew member obviously was loving it too! The crowd was singing along. Truly an unforgettable performance, I've enjoyed every show I've ever bought tickets for, but there's no way in heck that any performer will be able to top this show and the energy it exuded for quite some time! I was really happy that although this being the second time I saw her, it was still a different type of show and wasn't just a rehash of what I've seen before--she just gets better and better! There's nothing better than when the audience members all have smiles on their faces and are living in the moment, all realizing that they are part of something special & great!

I love love loooove Bjork! This was my first time seeing Bjork live and my first concert experience at the Hollywood Bowl. The acoustics sounded wonderful in this amphitheater and, in my opinion, only complimented the beauty of Bjork's music. Now I've seen a number of Bjork's live performance DVDs and know that she and the rest of her wonderfully talented musicians and back up singers can and will put on a great performance. One of the things I really looked forward to a month back when I bought my ticket, was being able to see all this live. Well, sitting up in the M1 section that evening really made me wish I was born with hawk eyes. Yes, binoculars are admitted, but PLEASE give us a big screen to look at the next time she does a show here! Also, I recommend taking the Metro to the Hollywood Bowl. $5 day pass will get you anywhere in LA until midnight. You'll save time and money.

The show was unforgettable! for me to think i would never see Bjork ever in my lifetime and actually seeing her and experiencing her flawless vocals and getting to hear her say "thank you" in her adorable ice land accent was out of this world. I love how she put on good visuals for the audience on the jumbo screens. she wanted us to focus on her voice and her entertainment rather than just stare at her face. I have 20/20 vision, so seeing her from my distance (section M1) was fine by me. Overall one of the best shows I have been to :)

I was in heaven the moment I saw the stage... She played in the round with all views leading to fully taking her in! Bjork was beautiful, quirky, pitch-perfect and had energy to spare. The Icelandic choir was a symphony of perfect harmony that complimented Bjork's trade-marked wail phenomenally! I was beyond impressed! She was channeling electricity and wind-operated machinery to create sonic rhythm. The percussionist was working overtime, switching expertly from quirky pad to quirky instrument and all of it was incredible! As a singer/songwriter and percussionist, I took in every moment of sumptuous creativity and no one does it like Bjork. For this to be my 1st show, she's been a mentor since my beginnings as an artist (in my teens) and this show fulfilled my every wish, with the exception of her playing Pagan Poetry... which I can Youtube... The harpist was so talented. Every, every moment was perfection! If you are waiting to see this show...DO IT!!! I would give her more than 5 stars but that's all I'm provided here. I've had a Bjork high since Saturday night, and it's Tuesday, and the fever hasn't faded yet!

The show was stunning--no surprise! She always knows how to bring something amazing and unexpected to every tour! The venue was in a gorgeous place--a little out of the way, but I stayed at a lovely hotel in Richmond, so it was actually perfect. My only complaint is that the event staff was constantly talking--either telling people to move or just chatting incessantly, even during quiet ballads. It was so annoying. I think the event staff just plain sucked. But definitely a show to remember!

Just when I think Bjork can't set the bar any higher, she pushes the envelope even further. The show was pure magic, gorgeousness and powerful. The choir sounded amazing and I liked their choreography. The venue, as set up, the bay view just seemed an extension of the set. There was a full moon which made the views even more incredible. "Possibly Maybe" was brilliant with the electricity; you couldn't have matched the revamp so perfectly. Gorgeous tones, vocals, David Attenborough intro was way cool. Costume and wig so great like she was this mad scientist doll, but beautiful. I can't say enough, but thinking of booking Tuesday concert too. It was that good. It was exquisite.

While Bjork's voice continues to be beautiful, powerful and haunting, the show was really not worth the money nor the time. While the theme was supposed to highlight nature, music and TECHNOLOGY, the reality is that neither technology nor nature were showcased very well. It felt highly repetitive, boring at times, and completely uninspired. The displays, minimalist choreography and lack of any other effects, made this the most blah show I have seen in a long time. It would have been more appropriate for a small and intimate small bar venue. It was the briefest of shows at barely at 1 hour. The worst was that for some reason, the entire area was blocked for 90 anxiety provoking minutes, much longer than the concert itself. We all had to seat in our cars in the parking lot w/o moving and no information about what was going on. It was not due to traffic, but I suspect, Bjork and her crew were transported out of the venue while we all had to wait. Really NOT COOL! Then to top it all, they charged $8 for a half glass of Coke and $5 for the smallest bottle of water. Really?!

I felt like I was morphed into Outer Space. Totally blown away how well she has preserved her voice all these years. Her multimedia musicians were incredible, the choir was beautiful in every way. The harpist...Mamma Mia. I hope you go and experience Bjork. There's no other artist like her. The venue is smaller - Bjork walked past me going on/off stage. There was just a velvet rope between us. The security guards were very professional and efficient. They really did a great job honoring Bjork's request to not snap pictures of her going on/off stage.

I'll start with the good parts: ***** Bjork and her oh-so-amazing voice, just as powerful as ever: 5 stars ***** The Icelandic choir. Their singing as well as their expressive dancing. Awesome. One of the rare occasions where the live show sound is tighter than the recorded version: 5 stars ** The sound at Craneway was bad. Boomy bass, harsh midrange.. the only reason I don't say one star is because the mix was okay, you could actually hear Bjork: 2 stars * The theater in the round. I know she wanted to do this but... she spent pretty much equal time on all sides (maybe slightly less toward the front so-called VIP section). Since the stage has four sides, *at least* 3/4 of the show I couldn't even see her face. I paid for front section tickets and sat in the 5th row. I would have preferred to be in the 20th row with a pair of binoculars. If I were to see the show again I would not buy VIP tickets (unless I got the whole VIP package, including the reception). With the non-assigned seating at the Craneway the people who were standing (something you couldn't do with VIP seats) got a better view at half the price.

I'd have a too say the concert was incredible and unforgettable!! I wished it was longer! Only Bjork can pull off an amazing show with electrifying thunder bolts and large pendulums that rocked the Craneway. She played a few songs from the past and most from Biophillia. Her funky dance and hair was a crowd pleaser! And when she spoked to her fans with her cute Icelandic accent, it made us light up with ecstasy! Her voice was beautiful...and high notes were perfect! THANK YOU BJORK for such an amazing experience!!! Definitely a not to be missed intimate concert!! As for the venue, Craneway Pavillion at Richmond had beautiful skyline views of The City. The sound and acoustics was pretty crisp. Hope more concerts are held at the Craneway. There were signs along the way and plenty of parking. Although the drive may be a ways for some, it was well worth it. A true fan would never miss a Bjork concert!
