It would have to proven to me that there exist a better venue that the Bijou to appreciate the talent and music of two formidable groups as we saw in Knoxville this past Sunday night. Their musical depth was very refreshing to experience! A must see!!

If you are a fan of Frank Sinatra or Billie Holliday type music, this show is for you. John Pizzarelli does a good job handling the Sinatra songs. He's not quite Old Blue Eyes, but he is a very good singer and great guitarist. Catherine Russell is just a vocal phenom. Incredible range and power she truly understands the subtleties of Holliday's genre. She can give breathless quiet notes and then just power through when it calls for it. I do want to take the time to praise the ensemble accompanying the stars. Besides John's guitar, there was a grand piano, regular bass ans drums. They were all excellent on their instruments. They were definitely in synch with each other and it showed. The entire show had crisp, clean and clean sound. It was quite refreshing to hear instead of the over blown sound from the other shows (here's looking at you Brian Culthbertson). Lateky the sound mixing has been atrocious but this show was just spot on. Enjoy this show. This is a really great show for the genre.

I was in the infield and had a great time - it was like a big party! However, watching the actual horse racing was almost impossible. There was also no area to view the horses before they went to the starting gate. The entire finish line area was taken up by the VIP tent so no way to view that from the infield. From a party/drinking/music perspective, the infield was great. But if you really want to watch the horses and the racing, I would not recommend the infield. I wish I'd known this ahead of time!

If you think that Jamie and Adam are lots of fun to watch on TV, you'll love seeing them in person! I brought two HS girls and they had a blast. Buy a ticket in the front section if you want to participate in the show -- they use volunteers from the audience to demonstrate some fun stuff... We generally sit in the balcony, but this is the type of show where you want to sit close.

I am convinced that Joe Tomino (drummer) has at least 8 arms. This band are so tight and so exciting to watch that everyone just seemed to stumble out at the end in a state of shock and awe. The Mercury Lounge is a great venue. Small enough that you can get close enough to really watch the band and excellent sound system.

And that is a good thing!!! Went to this show expecting to get the band that I had watched on YouTube doing those introspective and folky sets for KEXP online. NOPE. They rocked. In addition, they rocked pretty hard. I was blown away with their energy and their enthusiasm to just put on a great show. Will definitely go see them the next time they come around!

This was my fifth time seeing them live, and honestly they do not disappoint. They really out-did themselves. The concert was great. They really know how to throw an awesome concert. You don't know a wonderful concert until you've been to a Down With Wenster one.

Brought back a lot of memories. Cudos to lead singer for being a first responder on 9/11 and serving in Iraq.

Sean Kingston was wonderful!!! My only complaint is the show was 1 hour long. $55 for an hour long show? No thanks. Never again.
