This show was an epic blend of ballads that made you swoon, jigs that made you want to get out of your seats, dance that made you shake your head in amazement, stories that made you want to travel to Ireland and jokes that made you fall in love with all the performers. If I didn't have to work this week I would have followed the tour bus to the next show! Glad I have the cd's and DVD to enjoy this troupe for a long time!

I was 2nd row. I held Sierra Kusterbeck's hand. Made my night. Versa's music and energy is un-matchable these days. They put on such a good show. Anarbor and Dangerous Summer were awesome as well. They def. were all fit for a tour like this. I would see this show over and over and over again. In the picture my hand is in the middle :)

As a newer fan of Deerhunter I was worried the show might not be worth the ticket and the drive into town. As it turned out I was worried for nothing. The first opener wasn't bad, the second opener rocked out in an upbeat but mellow fashion, then the kings of mellow rock (Deerhunter) got on stage and failed to disappoint. Bradford Cox and company brought it on with a ton of tracks from their newest record Halcyon Digest, while mixing it up with older tracks from Microcastle and Cryptograms. Deerhunter was very interactive with audience, they made jokes and were very entertaining in between songs. Super cool band, they sound awesome live, check em out!

I first thought I was just getting a great double bill with both Brendan James and Tony Lucca at the same event. Not only did Matt Duke make an outstanding opener for them, they took the stage TOGETHER. Wow! They did a song or two of each artist together, then Brendan James stayed on stage with his band while Tony Lucca took a break. After a few songs, Tony returned for a song or three and Brendan left to take a well-deserved break. They played amazingly well together and the camaraderie was shining through all night. If you are a fan of these guys, you simply must see this show!

The opening act, David Versati, was magical and said the whale was a beautiful emotional musical roller coaster ride. Must see!

Great set, non stop music. really tight performance. After seeing White Denim six times this was the first time with their new line up. Very interesting to see how they did the old songs without two guitars.

This show is one of the best I've been to. I'd never been to the venue (the 6th & I Synagogue in DC) but was surprised how great the acoustics of the room were, and how beautiful it was a s well. I was only vaguely familiar with Joe Henry (although his song "Civil War" had become a song addiction in the weeks before the show) and knew John Smith from his tour with Lisa in 2011. The mix of the voices, including Ross Turner on drums, banjo and singing, was truly wonderful. Any time you can see one of all of these artists, take the time to do so. Slainte!
