This show is one of the best I've been to. I'd never been to the venue (the 6th & I Synagogue in DC) but was surprised how great the acoustics of the room were, and how beautiful it was a s well. I was only vaguely familiar with Joe Henry (although his song "Civil War" had become a song addiction in the weeks before the show) and knew John Smith from his tour with Lisa in 2011. The mix of the voices, including Ross Turner on drums, banjo and singing, was truly wonderful. Any time you can see one of all of these artists, take the time to do so. Slainte!

Casio Kids was SUCH a treat. Their style, instrumentation, their modesty-- it was a whirl of absolute goodness. They exuded passion from all their songs, and they were truly appreciative of the crowd. They even came out and talked to my friends and I, took their camera out and we had group shots! They were so, so friendly! Such fresh beats! And don't get me started about STRFCKR... it was mind-blowing. They somehow magically intertwined their heart-stopping, planet-exploding music with the colorful make-up they put on. The energy that flowed between the audience and the stage was an ocean of bliss, colors, limbs and sweat and positive vibes. They played all my favorite songs, interwove the super fast, dancey songs with the slow bouncey ones smoothly. Most importantly, they really, really looked like they were enjoying themselves because we were too. They even let us all go on stage and dance. It was a mad rush--exhilarating--pure anarchy: I couldn't believe they let us do that! Afterwards, my friends and I got to meet a few of them too! :)

If you are like me, you love all kinds of music, so I listen to most all of them. But sometimes there is a special voice that just stops you in your tracks--- and keeps on doing things vocally that surprise you. Sometimes, the synergy of talent between voice and musician is intoxicating. That is what a Nicole Henry show is like. Go see her and let her magic take you.

Love Crocodiles! They delivered an awesome show. One of the most underrated and unappreciated bands of today.

The band started late... very late, but it was worth the wait. Polacheck nailed it. Dominated the stage with her choreography skills and deep voice.

With an amazing voice that switches genres, reminder of Amy Winehouse to the looks of Ron Jeremy- Har Mar Superstar embraces who he is and puts on a show!! His voice is amazing, his songs are a little all over the place, but no matter what he's crooning- he's singing well!! He and his band put on a fun show and the crowd ate it up! The Virgins were a snooze fest and could have been any number of bands. Their songs don't sound original, their energy level is low key and people started trickling out early on. Besides their one hit song- I would pass

The main attraction was the opening act - locals Twin Sister. Their unique music charged the atmosphere in the place - they stole the show, and we will be hearing much more from them.

Yes, I am an Editors fan, and I ve had Editors Fever for quite some time, but I was unprepared for their dynamic live performance. This is a band that has truly mastered the stage - this was a ROCK SHOW in the truest sense of the word. I went with my daughter, who while not necessarily a fan, was impressed at the quality of the performance - and we ve been to a lot of concerts together (I started taking her when she was 2, she s now 38). The venue is beautiful inside, the restroom clean, with an adequate number of stalls. Security was present, but unobtrusive. Staff was helpful and polite. Although the venue is 90 miles from my home I would not hesitate to go there again - it s easily accessible, and on the weekends there s ample, inexpensive parking. If you appreciate a great live performance, see this band, not to mention their music simply rocks!

Made the trip to Toledo, Ohio otherwise known as the glass city. Frankie's (the venue) was easy to find, and I felt safe outside in the parking lot. That being said, the opening acts were very good. Frankies just has this sound quality in the room that is impressive. Mobile Deathcamp took the stage and in a mix of yin-yang that only Todd Evans can deliver, the three piece pummeled the heck out of you with their hard hitting lyrics, and speed-metalness that can hardly be believed unless seen. In between songs, Todd would laugh and joke with the crowd. With Scott "Cracker" McEachern on drums and Boe Skadeland on Bass. An awesome time was had by all. The band always meets and greets at their merchandise table and they truly care for those who follow them.
