The Doobie Brothers

The Doobie Brothers

The Doobie Brothers Concert Schedule The Doobie Brothers are an iconic American rock act who have run the gamut from mainstream rock to blue-eyed soul. The Doobie Brother's tour dates, which include their 2017 Summer Tour, 2015 Southbound Tour, and stretch back all the way to their 1983 Farewell Tour, have taken them across North America and seen them unite with powerhouse rock performers like Chicago, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ted Nugent and more. Throughout their many incarnations, The Doobie Brothers have been known for their eclectic rock sound, fused with elements of country, R&B and folk music, along with their impressive vocal harmonization. The latter gained the group entry into the Vocal Group Hall Of Fame in 2004, while the former has seen the band sell some 40 million albums over their five-plus decades in existence.

This was an awesome show. They played old songs and new songs. The new stuff had a bluesy kind of feel with some jazz in there too. We had a great time!!!!

The Doobie Brothers put on a fine performance July 3rd at the Tropicana Showroom in Atlantic City, NJ, even though they came off back to back shows Wed & Thurs evenings. They opened the show, real strong, doing some of their most popular songs right from the start! The band maintained this good momentum throughout the show until the final song,"Listen to the Music", was done! I hope they return soon!

Sadly I was not able to attend this show, but having been to nearly 100 of their shows over the last 30+ years, I can honestly say from the heart that these guys Rocked the House! You will never walk out of a Doobie Brothers show feeling as if you did not get your moneys worth and then some. They put just as much energy into shows today as they did when I first saw them as a wide eyed teen. From the opening chords of what will undoubtedly be a song you know and love, to the last strains of yet another hit song, they will have you on your feet, singing along! Wear comfortable shoes to their shoes because you will DEFINATELY be on your feet all night long. I am already looking forward to the next time they are in the area so that I can make up for having to miss a show that was not to be missed.

It was TOO LOUD!!. The volume obsured the melodies of every favorite song and did a disservice to the talents of these terrific musicians... and to us listeners. Sorry Doobies, I still love you, but someone has to SPEAK UP about the volume deafening levels. Or am I the only old *art who doesn't get why that's necessary.

Concert was okay. They should have steered clear of McDonald's songs...sounded like an average cover band. Great job with other songs like China Grove. The two blues songs started turning around the concert in a positive way. Their new song would be better as an instrumental; not much in the way of lyrics. Concert was fairly short.

The guys put on a hell of a show - much better than I thought we'd see. Even though there are only 2 original band members left the whole group did a great job recreating the hit songs from the past. Mixed in 1 new tune and 1 R&B riff but otherwise it was one hit after another. Awesome energy too, no chit-chatting with the crowd for 10 minutes - just picked up their guitars and rocked the joint for 90 minuts. If you were a fan dont miss this show.

THE SHOW WAS GREAT, BUT NOT LONG ENOUGH. tHEY PLAYED A SET AS IF THEY WERE THE OPENING ACT RATHER THAN A HEADLINER. i COULD HAVE LISTENED TO THEM FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER HOUR OR SO. INCLUDING ENCORES, THE SHOW WAS JUST SHORT OF 1 1/2 HOURS LONG. THEY PLAYED MOST OF ALL THEIR "HITS", BUT MISSED A FEW, NOTABLY MINUTE BY MINUTE, AND SOUT CITY MIDNIGHT LADY. OVERALL, A GREAT SHOW!! THEY CAN STILL ROCK WITH THE BEST OF THEM.

This is the third time my wife and I have seen them, but the first time indoors. The music was great and the audience was really into it, but what made this concert really fun was the Doobie Brothers themselves. THEY were having a blast! To see the smiles on their faces and the interaction with the audience was a joy. Keep it up boys.

The band was outstanding and the song selection perfect. I've always loved the versatility of the Doobies with a core of high energy rock. Amazingly, after fifty years the boys put all their hearts into every song. Too bad Centennial Hall doesn't have thr same qualities.

The audience reaction clearly reflected the experience. The old stuff was great and the seniors (including me) were dancing in the aisles. I enjoyed a few of their new songs (the sax player was outstanding and there was a harmonic guitar duet that was amazing). And then they tried to pass off a bunch of new songs in old R&R style and, well...not so much. Even the audience stepped back. While I was looking forward to the concert at Centennial Hall (a smaller venue of 2,500 at U of A), the acoustics weren't great and seats weren't staggered, so one tall person in front of you and it was hard to see. But, ultimately, the nostalgic journey back in time to the days of vodka and sevens and draft beer in mugs with your name engraved in the bottom at the local New York college bars was worth it! Thanks, Doobie Brothers, for taking us back and again proving that the music of the 70s really was the best!

Could be just missing Michael, Simmons could not hit many of his vocals, leaving an unsatisfying performance. Cat Stevens Jr added some needed range for the last encore. The group performed with lots of energy and noise, over the top with electric whining. Don't need to do this again for awhile.

I only listened to the Doobie Brothers music in the 70's, so I did not know every song. It didn't matter - the whole concert was fantastic. Seven musicians with incredible talent playing different instruments nearly every song, solos, duets, - the variety alone was impressive. The talent of each was superb. They saved the best songs from the 70's til the end - the highlight for me!

FANTASTIC!!! There were a lot of us baby boomers in the audience - standing, dancing, shouting, singing (we know all the words). Only disappointment was our tickets did not include "meet and greet" even though we thought we bought those tickets. Several of us in Row 9, felt they had purchased these tickets. We were told 'NO'. Still amazing time.

Heard favorite songs from the past, but the sound mix was not good. Drums and bass were much too heavy while vocals and harmonies were drowned out. Also lots of focus on lead guitar rifts instead of vocals. Some of the instruments even sounded out of tune relative to each other. Net, the sound balance was way off. The Doobies need a new sound engineer.

Opening act JD and the Straight Shot were awesome...had not seen them before but super!! The Doobie Brothers delivered AGAIN...see them every chance I get. The Audio mix was good but the system was lacking in vocal clarity and sibilance. I would loved to have tuned the system before the show but...oh well, I was probably the only one who noticed....or the box in the line array that covered my seat had a high frequency driver that was compromised, I should have walked the room but was too busy being blown away by the awesome Doobie Brothers show. Great job guys will see you again soon! Always the best show...don't stop rockin down the highway!

The Doobie Brother's got the concert fans to their feet at Harrah's Cherokee on Saturday, September 16 in Cherokee, NC. They hammered out classic tunes that brought out the energy from the crowd not seen by me in a long time! From "Long Train Runnin", to 'Clear as the Driven Snow", to " Takin it to the Streets" the Doobie Brother's brought the show to the crowd very reminiscent of the days back in the 1970's during the Don Kirshner's Rock Concert era! You can be rest assured that after 46 Doobie Brother's Concerts that I have been to since 1989, with Harrah's being the best venue and the best concert by them to date, God willing, I will be returning there to see them once again next year! Thank you Doobie Brother's for putting on such an excellent show this past Saturday night at Cherokee!

Even though it was a little hard to understand the members speaking in between songs, the group was great. I didn't miss McDonald a bit. Even though the group is down to two original members, the sound is still there. I hadn't seen the group since the early eighties, but nothing has really changed that much. They did their best to get in most of their big hits and was entertaining for the time they were on the stage.

Attended the Doobie Brothers concert at Harrah's Casino in Cherokee, NC on 09.11.15 I saw the Doobie Brothers in concert back in the mid 70's and was not sure what to expect. After all these years, the Doobie Brothers still have it! Their mix of harmony and acoustics blew me away. I felt like I had gone back in time to the 70's again. They had 4 of the original members. They performed with an 8 member band; 2 drummers (Ed Toth, Tony Pia), 1 keyboard player (Guy Allison), 1 saxophone player (Marc Russo), 1 bass player (John Cowen) and 3 guitar players (Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmons, John McFee) to which John McFee also played slide and fiddle. Patrick Simmons displayed a wide range of vocals just showing that these guys still have what it takes. A night I will always cherish. There is no bad seat at the Harrah's Cherokee casino concert hall, great sound and light show. If you get a chance to see the Doobie Brother in concert, please do as you will not be disappointed in this performance.

This was a tough show for me, having seen Los Lobos and the Doobies in Santa Cruz in 2012. That show blew me away! This show, not so much... The new stage is great, the new screens perfect. My issues were with sound mixing and song selection. At times, the sound was off balance, the wrong things were most present to the audience. It made the acts sound like they weren't ready for prime time, and I knew better. At some point in a band's history, they decide to play what they want, not what the audience wants. The Doobie Brothers are verging on that precipice. I counted three songs in a row that were too deep in their catalog, watched people folding up their chairs and walking. I found myself screaming, "Play the hits!" Too late for some. Robert Cray is the consummate blues man. Been a while since he had a tune a broad audience would recognize. Strong Persuader was closest. Honorable mention goes to Los Lobos, the poor wolves were frying like sausages in a pan in the waning sun.

The Doobie Brothers put on the show of their lifetime this last weekend at Ironstone Vineyards. The sound was superb nice and loud but not distorting with crackling bass. This year for us was the first time we had encountered a new ticketing agency so to speak called \u2018Takin it to the street concert club where for a fee, you re a member of this club and get the privilege of maybe getting in on a meet and greet etc. We were lucky and obtained front row center seats without having to pay extra fees these tickets did include ($50x2) buffet dinner that was pretty bad. Anyway, back to the performance the Doobies were opened by Pat Simmons Jr. doing a solo performance with Dad s help on a number and then Los Lobos took the stage rockin as usual leading up to Robert Cray, doing his blues guitar work. Finally the sun went down and I m sure most of the audience was thru with the 90 plus degree heat all afternoon. We stayed until the last song had played and then started driving down the not so well traveled back/dirt road turning into Hwy. 4. And in a few minutes were driving thru the historic town of Angels Camp but couldn t help noticing the DUI checkpoint set up for Northbound travelers who had one too many. We were staying at the Best Western about a block before the checkpoint so didn t have to mingle with the officers.

An amazing performance. The group did not try to rush through their set which was a real plus. They played a lot of their fast, upbeat pace music as well as acoustic ballads. All members vocals were strong. They seemed to have as much fun as the audience. Unlike many other indoor venues, the sound crew made every sure we were not deafened by the end of the show. My husband and I love the Doobies and see them at least once each summer. We try to make it a little road trip/ getaway. So, we decided to travel 3 hours to see them at the Hollywood Casino in West Virginia. This is a very small venue, only seating 1200 people. The Doobies were awesome as usual and played for almost 2 hours. All of their hits were played along with some older songs that you barely ever hear. The band looked like they were having lots of fun during the show and that makes it even better for the audience. They still sound great and I look forward to my next show.

Up front let me just say: great show! These guys are pros; they played with an energy that really impressed me. My seat was also really good at this venue. It was my first time at the venue and I thought I'd be seated further back than I was, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that my seat was actually about thirty or forty yards from the stage, an excellent distance for a good view. The show overall was excellent. My only complaint is that show times are misleading, but that might be more my fault than anything else. I want to know when the headliner is scheduled to go on. Toward that end, it would be nice to know how many acts will be preceding the headliner. The ticket only mentioned one, so when my ticket said that the show would start at 6:30pm, I assumed that the opening act would be starting at that time. In fact, there was ANOTHER act preceding the opening act, so when I arrived expecting that the opening act had finished and I would be seeing just the headline act, the opening act was just coming on stage. I've got nothing against opening acts, but I wasn't interested in seeing it, so the ticket should have made it clear that another opener would precede the "opening act" in order to allow me to plan accordingly. I'll know better in the future...as it was however, The Doobie Brothers were wonderful and I'd definitely go back to see them again!

This concert was fantastic from beginning to end! We had great seats. We missed Pat Simmons Jr. opening set. Then the big surprise with the amazing Don Felder came out and killed it with so many Eagles era songs. He was fantastic along with his entire band. Tequila Sunrise, Hotel California, One of These Nights, it was like being at an Eagles concert and the crowd loved it when he called us to the stage. Doobies came out next and they were phenomenal. China Grove, Takin to the Streets, Jesus is just alright, Listen to the Music and on and on. The crowd had a blast. The weather was perfect. Verizon Encore Park is a wonderful venue. I appreciate how pleasant all the workers were from ticket takers, security, and food service, everyone was extremely nice and efficient. There is one venue in Gwinnett that I enjoy going to but the security people make you feel like you're in a prison instead of a concert. Great show, awesome venue! Can't wait to go back.

This is the first time I've been able to see the Doobie Brothers live since about 1981. I was amazed that they are still as dynamic as ever (not bad for some 67 year old guys!) they sang a wide selection of music from their entire collection. I am happy these guys are still touring after all these years and they are just as much enjoyable to listen to as they were when I first heard them in the early 70's. I am amazed that not only are they still playing but they are still writing and producing new material. I've been a huge Doobie fan my whole life - every song they play brings back good memories for me - I hope they keep on rockin'. Tom Johnston definitely does not like his audience sitting down - he keeps the crowd engaged and he gets really excited when they get on their feet.

I've have seen the Doobie Brothers many times over the years starting in the 70's until now. They bring the energy, music and total show with them every night. They are without a doubt one the best live bands ever!

I confess I did not know who Don Felder was before the show but I sure do now. He stole it. Rocking great band. Tight and not too loud. Great songs and performance. By comparison Doobies were decent but too loud and the numbers were too long with too many drawn out instrumental solos. It was mostly downhill after their first number.

The Band was GREAT, tight, and really on it. Pat and Tom were SUPER! --The PA System was NOT good, in fact it sucked. The Sound was distored and bad all night. The band was loud in the wrong way, DISTORTED doesn't do it these days. A GOOD PA would have sounded loud and NOT Crispy.

This is the second times I've seen the D Brothers and have to say that I was just a bit disappointed- not in the performance but more by the sequencing of the set list. They started out with a bang- "Jesus Is Just Alright", but then went with too many obscure tunes that didn't keep the audience engaged. It wasn't until the show was about 2/3 over (they only played for 1&1/2 hours) before they got the crowd back into "rollin' down the highway" and on their feet.

about an hour and fifthteen minutes into to the show, the old hippies left their seats and gathered around the stage. At that moment everything changed and the whole 2000 seat amphitheater was up off their bottoms and it was explosive. You could see a shift in the band and everyone was rocking like when we were kids. All of our favorites were played to include south city midnight lady, China grove, eyes of silver, etc. EPIC

A great rock and roll band that has survived because their music just rocks the soul. Their music lives on because of catchy lyrics (go Blackwater), great guitar riffs (China Grove etc.) and a whole lot of memorable music.

This was a great show. The Sound and Vocals were amazing. We were lucky enough to get some guitar picks and a set-list from the stage afterwards. To reviewer JimmyK333, sorry man, you must have been sitting way in the back for it not to be loud enough. People up front were on their feet most of the show which is not easy for an older crowd. Great Show from the 11th row.

Despite the overcrowded feeling at such a small venue, the concert was great! The band sounds great and played with feeling- they looked a little tired, but so did we! Keep on rockin' down that highway- we love you guys!

Awesome. Doobie Brothers were in top form. (Having never seen them live, I was expecting a more docile, less energetic performance). It was electric. The seemingly geriatric audience was transformed when the DB's began their set(s). It sounded to me as accurate as a recording studio performance, regarding the musicianship of the different band members. The base player seemed new, but his vocals and musicianship were top form. All the members were rockin' and I would definitely recommend seeing them in concert whenever you can. THE DOOBIE BROTHERS ROCK! MISSISSIPPI MOON WON'T YOU KEEP ON SHINING ON ME. i HOPE THEY KEEP TOURING.

The Doobie Brothers are my favorite band in the whole wide world and I go to see them whenever I can. Sometimes they don't come over to Ohio and it saddens me when they don't come here. But, I religiously check the schedule to see where they will be. I have always loved their sound. When I was young I used to play the What Were Once Vices are Now Habits album to death- literally going through several eight track tapes of it. I got in on cassette tape, then on CD and it keeps a proud place on my MP3 player. This concert in Akron, Ohio was great. The venue is an old restored theater with great acoustic sound and the grandious architecture is fabulouse. Being a theater it already has great sound and lighting and, therefore, a perfect place for a concert. Comfortable seats (although I admit I didn't sit much) was an added benefit. They performed for 2 hours and did all the hit soungs you might expect, as well as, some surprises including Eyes of Silver which I rarely hear them do in concert but deeply loved. I would love to meet the band sometime and get autographs. I have shaken Pat and Tom's hands from the stage once when I had front row seats in an outdoor venue in Cleveland. I sure hope they continue to come back here near Ohio and do a show. I will definitely come to see them. Wow! I am still realing from the experience and will for a long time. It was one of those shows that, when you hear a Doobie song on the radio, you immediately flash back in your mind of the image of them performing at the concert you saw. Hail to the Doobie Brothers! You are the very best to me and I love you guys wholeheartedly.

They played every one of their hits and they haven't lost a thing over the years. My girlfriend and I were really blown away. There was a comment on a site by someone who claimed that the hour-and-a-half show was not long enough and the band was pantomiming. I assure you it was 100% live!

I haven't seen The Doobie Brothers since 1976, but from what I saw Sunday night, they hadn't missed a beat. They were tight, both musically and vocally, and the song selections stretched over several albums. There was a lot of audience participation and the band was on fire. While only two original members remain, that being Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons, the musicians who filled the vacant spots were top notch. I would go and see these guys again because it brought back a lot of good times for me. I Definitely Recommend seeing The Doobie Brothers on this tour. One of the best touring acts this year. For me, it was money well spent.

Unbelievable that these guys still are some of the Best Guitar players and Vocal Harmony groups of all time and are timeless. They were the first band I saw at Pine Knob as a teenager and their sound is still as fresh as it was back then, quite an accomplishment since most of the classic bands sound more like Karaoke these days. I bought the tee shirt, guitar picks and DVD's Looking forward to the next opportunity to see them in concert, and will be bringing my whole family!

I never expected the Doobie Brothers to be this good after so many years. The vocal harmonies were amazing - 3, 4, piece perfection. Additonally, I have never seen such a great vocal band in my life. The music was great - especially the 3rd song in the set which started out with two acoustic guitars - spellbinding. If you are or have ever been a Doobie Brothers fan - or even liked just one of their songs, this concert is for you!!

I am 47 years old and have been a fan since i first heard "Black Water" at the age of 8, but never had an opportunity to see them live. this show far exceeded my expectations. For a band that has been around 40 plus years they were incredibly tight and energetic! A lot of bands that have been around that long tend to play their songs in a lower register cuz they can't sing the high notes anymore. But these guys sounded like it was 1975. This was my first, but certainly not my last time seeing them live. And I plan on being front and center again like I was at this show!!!

The concert was amazing! From the instant the band stepped onstage, we were blown away by the quality of the sound. Musicianship was complex, layered, and supremely skilled. Vocals were impressively strong, and full of the beautiful harmonies that define the Doobies. There was no down time, with occasional breaks filled by sax, harmonica, and keyboard performances that were powerful and entertaining. The Doobie Brothers are consummate performers who still seem to love what they do, mixing old tunes with newer material, to the delight of the audience. Five Stars for Sure!

Going to concerts is a hobby of mine since 1973! I have a photo album with over 300 ticket stubs! This concert will be remembered as one of the top ten! Right up there with Frank Zappa backstage at the LA Sports Arena in 78, Pink Floyd at the Rose Bowl with the Flying Pig, Cal Jam 1 with Keith Emerson flying upside down at the Grand Piano and the Led Zepplin Houses of the Holy Tour! I saw the Doobies once before wuth Jeff "Skunk" Baxter at the Hollywood Bowl. But this was more intimate and personal! The Fox Performing Arts Center is a very nice Venue. I recently saw The Who at the Staple Center. It was "Legendary"! But this was better. We are all getting older and these more intimate venues are a great way for iconic, timeless classic rock artists to let the fans get to know them a little better! And by the way, the energy that Tom Johnston displays onstage is addicting! And it's what ageless stage presence is all about! Good job Tom!

The theatre has amazing acoustics, even the band was raving about it... At which point a woman shouted "so come back!" to Pat. His reply was "good point!" Haha amazing show, the doobies sounded absolutely amazing. My wife and I had a great time, with seats in the third row of the center section. A time I will never forget.

Our seats were all the to the side wall, but last few songs we got to go up front of stage and dance and sing along and almost caught a pick. The Doobies sounded great, they were really getting into the music and the crowd. They played both old and newer stuff. Nice small venue.

This is the third time I've caught the Doobies. Saw them on Cycles in '89, and back in '94. Since I hadn't seen them in twenty years, I thought they would've lost a little of their edge, but they haven't. They opened up with "Jesus Is Just Alright" and it sounds just as good today as it did back in the early 70's. They played one of the two songs that I really wanted to hear was, "Clear As The Driven Snow" (The other was Another Park, Another Sunday!). In the past couple of years, I've caught the Stones, Heart, Chicago, Elton John, and David Allan Coe. I'm a big Stones and Elton fan, but Coe and the Doobies were my two favorites.

Doobie Bros were great...sound almost as good as they did 40 years ago....Chicago was Ok...Lou Pardini was off key almost all night, Jason Scheff was too loud and off key a lot...Walt Parazaider's replacement blew the solo...can't knock the great brass Jimmy Pankow and Lee Loughnane put out there..They make Chicago what it really is...

Just great entertainment. They came on at 9:10 and rocked continuously until 10:45; no breaks, just fantastic music. Sound system was execellent. Lighting was good and not overdone. If you wanted pyrotechnics, explosions, and smoke you would have been disappointed. I did not. I wanted great music played by masters of their craft and that's what I got. It was an excellent evening of entertainment well worth the cost. What more can I say.
