Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney has been anything but idle during his post-Beatle years. In 1971 (within one year after the break-up of the Fab Four), McCartney formed the rock band Wings which would go on to produce numerous hit singles and enjoy strong album and ticket sales during the decade of its existence. Wings' most successful and highly acclaimed album, Band on the Run, stayed at the top of the U.S.

What can I say that could convey to someone that missed this concert would understand. It was Paul McCartney. This bloke is the greatest entertainer of the century. He played for 3 hours. He looked great. He even played some nice lead guitar on some jam songs. What a catalog of music. The only thing missing was Ringo. I was so glad to hear Nineteen Hundred Eighty-Five and In Spite of All the Danger but sorry he didn't play Junior's Farm on this night. Paul's voice was a little rough but, hey, he's 75. His hearing must be going a little bit too because when I was shouting stuff out from the upper deck seat I had it was like he couldn't even hear me. Oh well. Glad I got to see him probably one last time. He's the best!

The "One On One Paul McCarteny" Concert on 9/23/2017 in the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY was fantastic and one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Every thing abut the concert was great, from his singing, to his story telling, his playing of the various instruments, to the electronic displays and laser lights and even the fireworks (that I learned afterwards singed the inside of the Dome) were just amazing!!!

Paul McCartney was absolutely amazing! He played for three hours straight! There are times during the concert such as when he is singing Yesterday and think "This is Paul McCartney!". If you have the chance to see him don't pass the opportunity by! You will get your money's worth and more! Also, a shout out to the staff at Barclays Center. I have never been to an arena with a better staff!

I've seen him already 3 times and he has never disappointed me. His shows are always sold out to every Beatles loving soul. He's a really extense repertoir of music to sing along to for hours and hours, both as a solo artist and as member of the legendary Fab Four. This is the kind of spectacle the whole family can enjoy. Younger generations still have the opportunity to be treated with the greatest showman of the Earth!!

Paul's performance and his band are awesome! While I knew the dome in Syracuse is a sport arena and the acoustics are not the best, there is no air conditioning and seating is uncomfortable benches, never-the-less I was thrilled with the opportunity to see Paul McCartney in concert. He is truly amazing and is like the "energizer bunny" with his only pause being after 32 songs, just before he stunned us with 7 more encore songs. WOW! I enjoyed his choice of songs he shared with us and truly loved his stories, as well as his tributes to John and George. As uncomfortable as it was I would have sat there longer and only enjoyed more if he stayed longer. I have no idea what condition I'll be in if I'm lucky enough to reach 75 but Paul is in great shape and sounds just as good as ever. Any Beatles fan is sure to love his performance: A Hard Day's Night (The Beatles song) Junior's Farm (Wings song) Can't Buy Me Love (The Beatles song) Jet (Wings song) All My Loving (The Beatles song) Let Me Roll It (Wings song) (followed by 'Foxy Lady' jam by Jimi Hendrix) I've Got a Feeling (The Beatles song) My Valentine Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five (Wings song) Maybe I'm Amazed We Can Work It Out (The Beatles song) In Spite of All the Danger (The Quarrymen song) You Won't See Me (The Beatles song) Love Me Do (The Beatles song) And I Love Her (The Beatles song) Blackbird (The Beatles song) Here Today Queenie Eye New Lady Madonna (The Beatles song) Four Five Seconds (Rihanna and Kanye West and Paul McCartney cover) Eleanor Rigby (The Beatles song) I Wanna Be Your Man (The Beatles song) Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! (The Beatles song) Something (The Beatles song) A Day in the Life (The Beatles song) (with Give Peace a Chance snippet) Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da (The Beatles song) Band on the Run (Wings song) Back in the U.S.S.R. (The Beatles song) Let It Be (The Beatles song) Live and Let Die (Wings song) Hey Jude (The Beatles song) Encore: Yesterday (The Beatles song) Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise) (The Beatles song) Helter Skelter (The Beatles song) Birthday (The Beatles song) Golden Slumbers (The Beatles song) Carry That Weight (The Beatles song) The End (The Beatles song)

The concert was the Best Concert that I have ever been to and being that I am 66 years old that is a feat in itself. Even though it was extremely hot...Sir Paul was above and beyond my expectations for a Concert. He was humble, Amazing, and Countless Words to express my compassion for him...Thank You so much for putting together such a venue for us. If you have not seen Sir Paul...time is of prime, as he is not getting any younger; and I suggest you put it on your Bucket list today...you will not regret it... Love you Paul since I was 12... :) Tink Amazing is my Rating...

It was a gorgeous Upstate NY day with summer-like weather. We arrived early to avoid traffic and settled in for a long wait. I wandered up to the Dome and saw a bunch of people waiting with signs and cameras and found out that Paul was going to be arriving soon. After retrieving my wife, we positioned ourselves and in a few minutes the road leading up to the Dome was blocked off and a big black SUV came around the bend with a smiling, waving Paul McCartney! No doubt as close as I'll ever get to Sir Paul.... The time finally came to enter and the irony is that a place named after an AC company (Carrier) is not air-conditioned. It was a little sticky and water was more of a necessity than just a want. Showtime arrived and Paul launched into "A Hard Day's Night", the first of 39 songs performed that night. He did songs from The Beatles, Wings, solo albums and even the first song the Quarrymen (forerunner of The Beatles) ever recorded. Paul shared humorous stories about some of the songs and some of the people involved like Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, along with his tributes to the fallen Beatles, John and George. The explosions/fireworks for "Live and Let Die" were amazing! The crowd of 35,000+ enjoyed each and every note. Near the end, he brought an 18 year girl onstage who was shaking and crying, telling Paul how she had a picture of him in her room that helped her recover from surgery. He gave her a big hug and signed her arm Paul calls this tour "One On One" as he feels like he wants to relate to each person there on a personal level. It really felt that way. This isn't something he has to do, he does it because he loves doing it and we all oved watching and listening to him do it. His voie may not be as strong as it once was (he's 75 years old for crying out aloud), but nobody was complaining. Thanks again Sir Paul, it was a gas!

Paul McCartney at the Carrier Dome on September 23 was an amazing show. At 75, Paul was great, playing for 3 straight hours. He played many of the classics and what people wanted to hear! My only complaint is the heat inside of the Carrier Dome. With the pressurized roof, there is no HVAC at the dome named Carrier. Ironic, I know. Had to be over 85 degrees in a packed indoor stadium. Next year, lets have Paul at New Era Field!. Show was awesome though. Would do it again. Venue 4 Paul 5

How do you say AWESOME TIMES INFINITY!!!! I'm completely shocked that whatever those sound guys did - apparently section 101 is the sweet spot for the completely terrible Dome Acoustics. The heat was intense - but the intensity coming of the stage and the audience around was just beyond words can describe. If you are any bit a fan - run as fast as you can to see him when he performs. I go to many concerts - and this one will be hard pressed to beat for almost 40 years of seeing shows as being the best ever.

If you are a fan this is a must see event, but you probably already know that. It's called One on One likely because Sir Paul shares a little story every few songs that make this concert experience extra special. Some performers don't even talk to the audience and just go through their routine. Not here. McCartney seems to enjoy the walk down memory lane and let's us in on moments that gave him a chuckle, a surprise or a tear or too. Wonderful tributes to John and George, his first wife, Linda, and his current wife. This was a memorable evening that I'll be talking about for a long timel

My mother, myself and my 17-year-old daughter went to see the show. My mom saw Paul with the Beatles back in '64 and this show seemed like a must-see. Paul sang for three hours straight without a break or even a sip of water. He sounded incredible and we were amazed at his energy! My daughter said she recognized more songs than she even realized were his. He covered Beatles songs, solo songs and songs from Wings. This show was so incredibly worth the drive and the money and the almost unbearable heat in the venue. You must see Paul McCartney and you will not regret it!

I'm a huge Paul McCartney fan. This was my 7th Paul show over a span of 28 years and 5 tours. This was by far my favorite. (And the first 6 were incredible!). The man is 75 years old but was a young man on that stage. Three hours straight of the greatest music and his incredibly tight band that he's been with for decades. If you're hemming and hawing about whether to drop the bucks, DO IT!

Sir Paul McCartney did not disappoint. Despite near 90 degree heat outside of an un-air conditioned venue he provided a wonderful 3 hours of beloved music. The band was polished and versatile. Paul had exceptional humor, stamina and musicianship. Paul s voice can still deliver, but you can hear the ravage of time, and multiple consecutive nights of touring. The special effects were spectacular and the view from, granted - expensive - seats, was unobstructed. Had a great time remembering.

I saw the Beatles when I was 14, and I have seen George perform (before he passed away) and Paul perform twice in the past. I was expecting to see a good concert, perhaps a bit nostalgic, but what I saw was a ROCK concert in every sense of the words. That place was on its feet the entire three hours, the audience sang and danced with every song, and Paul and his awesome band rocked the rafters! They played a good mix of Beatles and Wings songs, note for note, word for word the way they were originally written, but my favorite was Helter Skelter -- it's one of those songs that's always better live, and it did not disappoint! All in all it was an AMAZING concert that I'll be reliving in my mind for weeks and months to come! What a great night!

I've lost track how many times I've seen Sir Paul and I have never been disappointed! How many other "iconic" musical legends perform for three hours straight? While some songs seem a little hard for him to pull off vocally these days most are flawless! A great backing band makes all those hits sound just as they should. I have seen Sir Paul on every tour since 1976....fan for 54 years! Although his voice is a little more horse than years ago (you're allowed, Paul), he puts on one of the most amazing shows I have ever seen. If possible, they just keep getting better! He's talented, charismatic charming, witty, endearing....need I go on? And, his appeal is not just with us oldies, the range of ages is amazing! If ANYONE has the opportunity to see Paul perform, they would be fools not to go. The venue was excellent....driving out of the area, being an unfamiliar out-of-towner, was very difficult. I got lost....highway signs not marked. And, section 106 is not as it appeared to be on the map...107 would have been better. But, I was close....I've been 6th row center on the floor and I was 6th row center in 106...still amazing!

This was my 10th Paul McCartney show in 27 years. This particular show at the new Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI was another amazing event. This time my wife and I took our teenage kids with us. A family event that everyone loved. Everyone around us was singing the songs from the soundtracks of our lives. My 23 year old daughter & I went to the concert together, she is not as big a Beatles fan as I; she said that Paul was excellent, the best entertainer/musician that she has seen! Full of energy, great storytelling from years past, and seemed so comfortable on stage, we were surprised that he was so vibrant as he is in his mid 70's now. The other band members were also excellent, and Nassau Coliseum was a very good venue to view the concert, even the upper sections afforded a good viewing platform. Highly recommend.

It took me 53 years to see McCarthey live in concert. ( I was eleven when the Beatles played Ed Sullivan). Great show with an accomplished band. At 75 Paul obviously doesn't need the money, but still loves playing. I really have no regrets for waiting so long because this show was like opening a vintage wine, worth the wait. Paul played old Beatle tunes, Wings, and some new stuff. He even brought his 55+ career full circle playing a song he recorded, pre-Beatles, with the Quarrymen. and performed some production tunes, such as The Benefit of Mr. Kite, which like most Beatle material recorded after 1966 was rarely played live. That, and Pauls contrasting, solo, acoustic performance of Blackbird made for a interesting night.....with great sound, video, fireworks, and light show as well. I could have done without the backlighting spots aimed at the audience at times, but that was not overtly overdone, just lingered a bit too long.

I had reservations about seeing Paul again for the 20th time but....WOW! I am in total awe..... He was in top form and he played over 3 hours non-stop.....Every song was delivered well and Paul delivered one of his best performances. His voice was 90% but that's understandable considering this was the 2nd night of a two night series. I am not a huge fan of Paul's new songs and he did play about 4, which was fine. But ever other song was incredible. It is amazing how Paul can re-hook me every time I see him perform. It is also great to hear Paul describe how he actually writes the songs and give tribute to Lennon and Harrison. To say it plainly, to see Paul McCartney do Give Peace a Chance comes full circle....... Do not miss this show.....

What a loaded question. My girlfriend had no idea what was going on when we were escorted to the stage. I was so nervous I was asking myself what the heck I had done... But Sir James made us feel so welcome that I was able to propose to Kara in front of 20 thousand people and not be nervious at all! How great is it when your life long dream of meeting Paul comes true for an event where you are asking your best friend to marry you??? Thank you Paul and everyone else who made this dream a reality! I have been to a handful of concerts but I have never been to a concert where I could truly say the power of live performance has demonstrated itself to be superior to a studio album until this concert. Sir Paul McCartney and his band put on an inspirational performance that final made the case of where live is truly more impressive!!! The very first song played was "A Hard Day's Night" and it floored me!!! I have heard that song before hundreds of times. And I have heard video recordings of it from others, but nothing could compare, will compare to what I experienced on September 27th at NYCB Coliseum!!! More importantly it made my wife's wish to see the former Beatle and Legend of Rock'n'Roll live come true! Thank you Paul McCartney, Ticketmaster, and NYCB Coliseum for that night!

I have been a Beatle fan since the age of 3. It never ceases to amaze me how Paul can still perform for 3 hours straight with the same passion as he had when he was a young lad. Tributes to John and George made me cry. He is just a true inspiration to anyone with a love for music. I would go see him any day....any way...Truly I remain amazed. love you sir Paul!

I have loved Paul since I was a kid and he never disappoints. His concert was wonderful, as usual. I love the way he speaks to the audience between songs and the stories he tells. His energy is amazing! Loved all the songs he sang--old and some new. Dedicated songs to George Martin, John, and George Harrison--very touching. Did a long encore. The concert was more than 3 hours and I'm still flying after 3 days!

For 75 yrs old he played for 3 hours. All the favs plus some new songs. I would not recommend buying Fast Lane ticket upgrades. Email is misleading that these lanes open 20 min before other gates. The gates on both sides opened before Fast Lane, so nothing was Fast about it.

I have never seen any of the Beatles live. It was a great opportunity for me and my son to see a living legend. At age 75 Paul hasn't missed a beat. He played 3 hrs was very entertaining. Highly recommend seeing him if you never have.

I saw Paul McCartney in 1990 in Ames and thought it would be fun to see him again. IT WAS. He played for almost three hours and played more songs than I thought possible. Great stories behind many of the songs as well. The band was great and seemed to be having a very good time. I was with family members in Omaha instead of Des Moines, but it was a fun night for all.

This was my fifth time seeing him I'm a huge Beatles fan. But this time I knew what to expect watched ta concert of his on YouTube. He has a great backing band but his vocals aren't that good anymore. Song station was great except for he didn't Play The long and winding road on this tour. I will always see him when he's near my area.

Unforgettable... We may have had to endure bottleneck traffic through weather that looked like the apocalypse, but, as he has for over 50 years, Paul managed to bring an inextinguishable beam of light, optimism, energy, and fun to Tampa Bay and it will be a cherished memory that I will always carry with me. He powered through a three hour setlist of unmatched classics with a vitality that far defies his age. By the time he vanishes from the stage behind a puff of confetti and energy, it feels as if you've seen a huge, almost ritualistic 3-hour magic show - but that's because there's actual magic in the air when one of the biggest legends on the planet plays you his most iconic songs and tells you the stories behind them along the way... he somehow manages to make being in a stadium/arena with thousands of strangers feel truly intimate and fits SO MUCH into the relatively brief period of time that condenses an unmatched career of over half a century. He makes sure that nobody goes to a Paul McCartney concert and feels cheated - regardless of how much you paid, you know you're getting excellent value for it along with the experience of a lifetime ... ✨ It is such an honor to get to experience a McCartney concert. We may live in a crazy world, but, simply put, Paul McCartney just makes life better...

Nearly 3 hours of nonstop music! His energy was high and his backing band is fantastic. I've seen McCartney before, and while his voice has worn over the years, his exuberance more than makes up for it. He knows what his fans want to hear and gives them exactly that along with some witty banter throughout.

This concert started slow... I only recognized 2 of the first 7 songs. From there on it built to a very entertaining, electric at moments concert. The big screens weren't that big and not place where everyone had a good view.

The Paul McCartney concert was fantastic. We had never seen him before and his concert lived up to the hype and good reviews. We wish now we had also seen him when he was in Tampa 12 years ago. Loved that he played so many songs from various years. He played on at least 5 different guitars plus two different pianos. Hard to believe he played 3 hours with no intermission! He was great! Still humming some of the tunes....

Seeing Paul perform live was a dream come true for me. The concert was nearly 3 hours with no breaks and no opening act. Paul is now 75 years old and was amazingly high energy for the whole show. That is a long show to perform at any age. He sounded so good. I go to a lot of concerts, and this was the most expensive concert for me but totally worth it. Anyone who loves Paul McCartney and the Beatles will not be disappointed. There are legends who do short shows and fans leave feeling disappointed and somewhat shortchanged. This was actually the opposite of that. I would find the money and travel (this was 100 miles from home) to see him perform again. It was that good. Paul's band was also the best. I give high praise to the staff at Amalie Arena in Tampa...so friendly and helpful. Stayed in a hotel along Riverwalk and was able to walk back after the concert along Riverwalk with lots of other fans doing the same thing. It was such a wonderful night!

This is the 2nd time I've seen Sir Paul and it was better than before. I love it when the whole audience is singing, especially Beatle songs. He just kept going and going and going just shy of 3 hours. I noticed more this time than 4 years ago that his voice is really showing its age but he could literally stand there for 3 hours and I would be just as happy. He loves what he does and that really shows. Loved him since I was 10yoa and that will never change and yes now I'm 64!!! I hope he does another tour and I'll be there no matter what.

For once since seeing him for the first time (with Linda) in Worcester, MA in 1985, I listened to my wife, Kate, and got two floor ticket (Floor 1, Row 13, Seats 7 & 8) for this event. And, it was worth every single nickel that I spent to get them! Paul McCartney is simply fantastic! I mean what rock act today can fill up an arena and do so by selling out on the very first day within minutes of the tickets going on sale. Hmmmmmm, -----let me see, no one, that's who! Sir Paul is the only one still capable of this extraordinary feat! Lastly, who still gives you a three hour, show nowadays? Hmmmmmm, ------let me see, no one, that's who! Please don't miss this guy! You'll live to regret it!
