Real Pro, not event an emergency flood warning from a patrons cell phone threw her. She worked it into her act, got a few laughs and calmed the audience. The only negative ...the show started a half hour late. almost bolted. If you count her warm up act it was longer.

My party and I were very disappointed in this show. She redid all her material from talk shows, etc., that we all already seen. Furthermore, though we can all appreciate political satire, her race-related jokes were not smart nor satirical. Best stated, it was like amateur hour at the suburban comedy club, at best. The bet thing about her show was the opening act, Todd Glass.

Imagine Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryor had a kid together ---- YOU GOT IT - THAT'S SARAH SILVERMAN. She dances on the edge and keeps pushing it further and further out - just the way they did. She finds the subjects that no one talks about - and she does. SO FUNNY!!!! THANK YOU SARAH. KEEP PUSHING!!!

Sarah came on and left the stage being as sweet and innocent as ever, regardless of all the dirty things that came out of her mouth. Her honesty about using this tour to try out new material was well received. The random stories and note book of unfinished jokes helped the show move on. Was really impressed with how well she handled a guy who tried to hagel her. Her ability to act like nothing was bother her made it appear as though the guy was almost a plant, until he got kicked out. I thoroughly enjoyed her and Frank fielding random questions from the auidence members as way to close the night.

Sarah was very funny as usual and not as offensive as I expected her to be, less attacks or mocking of religion, races, etc., than usual. Her opening act was also very good.

Chicago Theater is an amazing venue no matter where you sit its a good seat, I was 16 rows back dead center floor amazing seat!! The beautiful Sarah Silverman put on an amazing act non stop laughs and last 20 mins she did a Q&A and let the crowd ask her questions. Hands down best show I seen in a very long time!!

Sarah was as good a live comedy show as I have ever seen. She had the crowd laughing and crying sometimes at the same time. Not for young children or old bible thumping non sinners but I thought I was going to have side cramps from laughing.

My husband and I first heard about Sarah Silverman from our adult children. They thought she was very funny. Then, I was both impressed and tickled when I learned that she had called upon grandchildren to head down to Florida to urge their grandparents to vote for Obama. Recently, I happened to read that she was coming to the Filmore in Detroit, Michigan for a one night engagement. Since we had never seen her on T.V. or in person, I figured we should go see her show. She was hysterical!!! Her humor was so intelligent, creative and original in its take!! We would definitely go see her the next time she comes to town, but we would bring lots of friends with us. We often go to NYC for GBroadway. She was as entertaining as a hot new show.

She just has an off the wall sense of humor and is like no other comedian out there. She will get crude in such an innocent way - lol. The only negative was the Q&A at the end. The crowd, which I was a part of, gave her nothing to work with and tried to be funny vs. letting her be funny. I wish I would have thought of some good questions and helped her out. I thought of plenty the next day.

Sarah Silverman was not as funny as i expected. He had some strong material, but alot of letdowns too. Crowd was a bit drunk and rowdy, with a great deal of hecklers and people too busy talking and checking their cell phones. This may have added to the mediocre rating. Sarah did handle the hecklers and unattentive people very well. She is great at improv. Opening acts were average at best.

Tig Notaro & Todd Glass opened. Tig started off slow, but finished strong. Todd flat out bombed (which was surprising to me, he's usually great). Sarah also started strong but seemed to derail when a few stragglers up front took their seats. Additionally, a few innocent hecklers set Sarah OFF just by suggesting bits or praising her (which was really weird). It seems that the road is getting to Ms. Silverman.

The best part of the show was Tig Notaro, who was Sarah's opening act. Her short 10 minute set was witty and very funny. The second comic was so bad, that I have blocked his name out of my mind. He spend hit 10 minutes yelling into the mike in a terribly annoying voice. Unfortunately Sarah had to follow his horrible act. Sarah had some funny material, but she seemed to struggle with the crowd. She followed the show with a Q&A that didn't seem to go anywhere, and had very few laughs. The Fillmore is a very uncomfortable place to watch a show. The seats are all narrow plastic folding seats on a flat floor. This makes it very hard to see over the people in front of you, and you get to know your neighbor very well.

I thought the show was a lot of fun. Loved her opening act, the middle comedian was OK, and Sarah herself was hilarious. The Q and A at the end was kinda long and lame, but the audience did not help that with their lame questions to Sarah. I would recommend seeing the show. Fav part was prob Sarah's comedy songs.....

She had some good new jokes. However, she ended up picking on three members of the audience and was unwarrantedly aggressive and mean about it but most importantly she was not running the show. She came unprepared, had to revise her notes over and over again, and the show felt scattered and random.

My husband and I was not happy with her comedy. We went to this show for our anniversary thinking that it would be something funny to do and enjoy but the joke was on her. She was not prepared and had no material that was funny. We tempted to walk out several times but because we had paid a decent amount for the tickets we stayed for the sake of it.

I love Sarah Silverman. She is one of the funniest. Now, at a small club I expect comics to be working out their material and testing things out. On a large tour (& when you're paying a lot to see a show) I expect a more polished set where material and timing is worked out for the most part. The material was funny overall, but the overly slow pacing and chaotic flow made it less funny. There was too much focus on heckler's and not in her typically quick-witted response way but it distracted from the show. I really wanted to love it but sadly it was only okay.

My friends and I paid $92 bucks to watch a set that should have been performed at an open mic night at a comedy club, we didn't even get the watered down drinks. Sarah has put together some marvelous comedy shows together in the past, but this was not one of them. She was constantly going to her notes and at times even mentioning that she was trying out new material, what kind of comedian does this kind of thing? On top of that, her set was comprised of the types of jokes that she has favored over the last six years or so, she calls it,"going to my happy place." It's high time she diversified her presentation and came up with some original ideas, I'm sure she has it in her. I must say however, her acting ability and her ability to communicate with an audience was her one saving grace this evening, that's why I gave her the extra star.

I love Sarah, but this set just isn't funny. It's 90 minutes of abortion and religion jokes. She came across as angry and defensive. She had a meltdown in the first few minutes when she saw someone checking their text messages and went on a rant that was frankly embarrassing. And then she closed out the show by having someone who is religious identify themselves so she could mock them. I left very disappointed

First thing she does upon coming on, is to apologize for the increased security due to a "threat", then said she wasn't going to be political (which is partly why I love her), she then proceeded to "pick fights" with audience members for no apparent reason, and then proceeded to "phone in" a string of random timeless stories. I'd prefer to stay home and catch her on an HBO or her new Hulu series.

Silverman and her opener were excellent. MGM seems oddly unprepared for large crowds, given it just opened. Over crowding at the elevators, escalators, auditorium itself at the end of the show, was not mitigated by several employees standing around with signage directing the masses of people, sort of like an afterthought in the over the top glam of the venue. Titanic like.

Had looked forward to seeing her perform for months! As my husband put it "it's like she just phoned it in" Her opener was better than she was. I guess everyone has off nights but this was not the Sarah Silverman I had expected. Her material was all over the place and she kept putting on her glasses to read from her clip board.... She was just not very funny. It made me sad actually cause I have long been a huge fan.

After knowing about Sarah Silverman for some time, I was excited to finally see one of her shows. I rarely give a one star review, but she deserves it. The best part of the show was the opening act comedian, who said she just flew in from LA. But despite apparently having just arrived, she was well prepared and delivered a quality performance, without pauses or referring to notes. Then Sarah Silverman comes out, and she doesn't even come close to the opening act. She came across as someone living off her fame and going through the motions. She came out with a clipboard of jokes, which she put on the stool, and would pause repeatedly to refer to it without any subtlety. While some of the jokes were somewhat funny, there was never a moment where they roared with laughter. The jokes were mostly of the toilet humor variety, which is okay but others have done those kinds of jokes much better. I noticed some people leaving during the event and I considered leaving as well, because there was nothing really to stay for. She told a political joke very early in the show, and said that was her only one and she didn't have any more. But, later in the show it seemed like she couldn't help herself and got back into political opinions. This received a mixed, uncomfortable response. I just can't think of any redeeming value in Sarah Silverman's performance. Her performance seems to rely nearly entirely on her fame, mediocre toilet humor, and the audience agreeing with her political views. But for everyday audiences just looking to see a good comedy show, laugh, and have a nice time, there's little here to offer. The opening act comedian came across as more hungry and more eager to impress.

I am not familiar with this performer's typical style or material, but my husband is. He was really excited to see this show. We were both pretty disappointed. We were really surprised how little political / world events material she had. There certainly is enough material in the news these days for any comic to work with. Her material seemed mostly centered around potty talk, and crass locker room humor. These are of course humorous topics, but they seemed way too big of a focus for a comedy show of this length and caliber. I'm pretty open-minded, liberal and not much offends me. This show offended me only because it was not a good value for my entertainment dollar. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

In her usual Silverman fashion, she killed it. While at moment it did feel a little scripted, she tried to interact with the crowd which make it feel more personalized. I do wish she was a little more political given her political voice on twitter - but I'm sure there's a reason she was straying away from the topic. Great stories that left the entire crowd howling. Really not sure why she is receiving negative reviews - must be conservative crowds...

Sarah's very smart, and is a seasoned pro at keeping audiences off-balance to make you think and laugh. BUT. She (and her lead-in comic) relied way too much on excrement and sex jokes. We are not prudes at all, but most of these jokes were just juvenile and cheap, more gross than funny.

I felt that with the political event of the day she should have material reflecting the mood of the country. We bought tickets expecting that. When asked about it she responded that she needed more time to develop material. She said she was not like Chris Rock who developed material spontaneosly. I will buy tix to Chris Rock next time.

Sarah Silverman is wasting her talent on filthy attempts at humor. What? Isn't that what Sarah Silverman does? Well, no. The Sarah Silverman I wanted to see in Durham this past Friday night was the quick witted, sharp-tongued, true-to-life comedian - even if she did spill out body fluid slang and throw up disgusting imagery of family, friends and The Almighty. I expected her to be funny, and she just was not. I waited for it, but it never came. I laughed because I wanted to laugh. My laugh was there. I was there. Sarah was there. The comedy just stayed in the hotel room for a smoke or maybe flat resisted to come off the notepad she read from half the show, which was downright distracting and unprofessional. The elements of her performance were on target and her delivery was extraordinary. She was just not saying much that was funny. She was independently, desperately offensive and obscene without being funny. She just did not capture the sold-out crowd - demonstrated by lack of a standing ovation at the conclusion and a rush out the door like few I have seen for similar Carolina Theater comedy performances sans smiling faces and chatter/buzz heading out - apart from a "get-me-outta-here" chant that I started under my breath when I first stood up when the house lights finally came up. The last 40 minutes of the show were agonizing, and I truly almost fell asleep. The offensive nature in the topics of abortion, God and sex and menstruation are prime for Silverman to showcase her abilities. Instead, she pounded them relentlessly to blank stares and dreams of ticket cost refunds. The redemption is this girl is good, a super talent - she just didn't show it to us.

We were looking forward to this event. Had an early dinner in Windsor, then headed over for the show. First of all, directions for parking were non-existent. We tried to park near the casino, but all "regular, non-VIP" lots were full. Finally found a spot, and made it just in time for the start of the pre-show. The first comic was .... eh. Not great, not terrible. About what you would expect. When Sarah came out, she initially started off OK. Her jokes were OK, her delivery was OK. She was reasonably entertaining. After about 30 minutes it went downhill. She simply was no longer funny. She kept checking her "list" of jokes and looking at the time, and commenting on the time. Sort of figuring out how much longer she needed to stay up there. Many people began walking out - which she probably did not notice give the venue was enormous and she probably could not see what was happening beyond the first 3-4 rows. Overall a total waste of time. And not cheap - when you factor in the border crossing fees, dinner, parking and of course the actual show. I will not come to this venue again (nor will I go to see Sarah Silverman again).

Went to see Sarah at the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor on January 14th. Very nice venue but the show was terrible. The four of us were so looking forward to the event as this was a Christmas gift. Spent $240.00 for tickets for 4. The warm up comedian wasn't funny. Sarah was even worse. She rambled on and on about nothing. Kept waiting for the punch line which never came. She seemed totally unprepared. I know she had a cold because she kept blowing her nose but really?? Cancel if you don't have it together and refund our money. I felt like it was total disrespect to the whole audience for Sarah to be so unprepared and not funny! How could she not have noticed all the people that were walking out in the middle of her show?! I also overheard after the show many discussing how awful the show was. NO ONE WAS LAUGHING!! Can we get our money back Sarah Silverman???!!!!

This was my first time seeing her and I really enjoyed it! I love how she makes the best of any situation. She had a bad cold and blowing her nose on stage didn't stop her from making us have a good laugh. The venue was kind of loud and people kept moving about. Wish people would have been more respectful so we could all enjoy the show!

The opening act, Todd Barry, was great but it just wasn't his crowd. Sarah Silverman was disappointing. It was the first show of her tour and it showed. Her material was rough and uneven. It was as though she hadn't worked through how the jokes were to flow. She would do a meta thing where she would bring up a subject and then say "put a pin in that" and never return to the subject. It was annoying and frustrating. It also didn't help that she wan't feeling well, which is not her fault, but it definitely affected her performance. Overall, I wish that I had seen a performance later in the run so that, hopefully, she would have had time to work through the issues. Overall, a waste of an evening.

The opening act was terrible but it was still better than the headliner. My wife and I were expecting much much more from someone with Sara's resume. We could not even rate it one star but your survey made us pick one.

When I purchased Sarah Silverman tickets I had a certain expectation of how the performance would be. That expectation was exceeded. She is smart, funny, completely inappropriate and vulgar. I loved the show and recommend it to anyone that enjoys polished comedy.

It was bad! She didn't want to be there. She wasn't focused at all. She had 1 good joke that was executed poorly. Very disappointing. I bought these tickets for my husband's birthday and needless to say it was a bad idea :(

I was irked that the warm up guy came out late and I was unimpressed by him. Sarah was good but I was hoping for more stuff on Trump and I thought she'd be naughtier.

I thought the show was terrible, she was gross, raunchy, crude and a little funny. There is so much material out there and she stuck to a few gross topics. There should never be any jokes about 9/11. There is nothing funny about that. Then sat in the parking garage 30 min not moving to get out. Hard Rock should have managed traffic better,

Love the venue, but Sarah wasn't funny. All over the place with her jokes and just wasn't hitting the right notes. Her opening act was funnier.

First, I was too far, and could not see her face, even though I was low in the balcony. Makes it difficult to appreciate a comic. Not the venue's fault. Second, I was expecting more, for some reason. I couldn't hear it all, either. I think the fact that I couild not see her facial expressions put a damper on the evening for me.

I'm going to start off saying I was kinda tired and it may have affected my attitude, and I like Sarah's work. Always have, and even when it's not as funny it's always interesting. Sarah made and announcement before hand about no cell phones, that was pretty strong, and yet shortly into her set people start whipping out their phones for photos and filming. I'm not a performer, but it bothers me as an audience member to have someone holding up phones in my field of view, or directly in front of me, sometimes for minutes. Sarah got into a, conversation is not the right word, nor is argument, with a man in the front row who pulls his phone out directly in front of her and starts checking his messages or googling something, who knows. The exchange went on far too long and I believe ruined her timing and rhythm. And I believe, ruined it for the rest of the audience. I'm sure he couldn't wait to post it to his narcissistic face book page. When did we become a society that doesn't believe it happened unless we see it on someone, including our own, facebook page? I know we're all facing an alzheimer's future prospect, so maybe the thinking is you'll put all your, could have been, experiences on vid for when you can't remember them anymore. But you won't be able to remember where you put them, so let it go and experience the event as it was meant to be and quit selfishly ruining everyone else's experience. Sorry Sarah, society is full of rude, selfish narcissists who can think only of their own desires, if they can only remember where they left the video of them. We as a society have lost any respect for others, and for others intellectual property rights. It ruined the show for me and it makes me not want to go to shows anymore. Just because you have the ability to video everything doesn't mean you have to. And once someone asks you not to and you do it anyway, what does that make you, besides a jerk? I can only imagine how she felt. Even this review form encourages you to upload your illegally obtained photos and videos. Come on people. What's next, we're all going to be wearing a gopro on a helment 24/7? And who really want to see your poorly executed, poorly lit, unfocused, grainy, shakey videos anyway. If Martin Scorsese is sitting in front of me, maybe I'll be indulgent. Otherwise, keep it in your pocket.

I was mostly disappointed with Sarah Silverman's performance at the Hard Rock Live last Saturday night. She was not horrible, but she was very average--expected her to be much funnier. I was also disappointed that she did not talk at all about the upcoming presidential election, Trump or Hillary. The opening act was abysmal.

Having seen her specials on TV, I know she is capable of SO much more. I can only remember one great moment in her show, it was when she spoke of requesting a male TSA agent to do her pat down. Otherwise, it was if she really didn't care to have prepared for a more entertaining performance.

Sarah put on a great show...at first. She was making me laugh so hard in the beginning, i had tears in my eyes. She then brought political views in to the mix. I was paying to to get away from all the political crap for a little while but she brought it in to the show. Making fun of religion can be be funny, but she took it to a point at the end where most people in the audience seemed uncomfortable.

Was so excited to see her as all 4 of us are big fans. However, show was flat. She seemed to just phone it in. Mentioned how she only had certain amount of minutes to perform so she could get paid. Some funny bits but overall a huge disappointment.

I wasn't happy that the show started 15 minutes late. The opening act was good, the woman was engaging and funny. Sarah was OK at best. She called out the idiots in the crowd who were using their cell phones and that was well received. Overall her bits were not funny enough to warrant a positive review. And the venue is not conducive to comedy acts.
