The Flaming Lips

The Flaming Lips

Bringing their neo-psychedelic flavor to a whole new generation of fans, the Flaming Lips released their most recent album, The Terror, in April 2013. Later in the year, they released Peace Sword, an EP of songs inspired by the film Ender's Game. The Flaming Lips have constantly been on tour during the past three years, with an average of two dates per month. It's an impressive schedule, to say the least, especially if you're familiar with how one-of-a-kind the band's live shows are.

Chappo opened and were great. Mac Demarco played next. He was extremely entertaining. The Lips complete the night. I have seen them before and they did not disappoint. Always an incredible visual show, from the balloons to open, the giant robot Yashimi vanquished, riding the unicorn, singing in the ball to the rainbow to wrap it up. Insane. I'm going back if they come again

The show was terrible. Wayne was super drunk and apparently stoned, plus he had no voice left to sing with. Pomona show is gonna suck!

I love the Flaming Lips. I think their music is unique and brilliant. And I love the fact that they put on a true show and make it a fun concert. But, as someone who really loves their music, I'm always frustrated at their shows b/c they don't play enough songs (they're so busy playing with balloons and fog machines), and they change some of their best songs (e.g., Fight Test, Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots Part 1) from up-tempo, danceable, big beat songs into slow, acoustic sing-alongs. I wouldn't mind the sing-along once, but to miss out on the big beat versions of Fight Test and Yoshimi was very frustrating. If you've never seen them, you must. Go see them! They do a unique, fun, good feeling show. But, if you're a fan who really loves their music, be prepared for more of a fun show than a true concert.

The Greek has always been one of my favorite venues because of the setting. Wayne immediately awknowledged this beauty and shared it with all of us. His encouragement to sing along was so heartwarming and uplifting that I couldn't help but let it all out. The night was perfect. If I had any form of criticism, it was not the guests, but the staff, a little more freedom to dance when it suited our fancy would have been kind. Instead we were consistently told to return to our seats. Love, Dance, Be Free.

I've seen the Flaming Lips many, many times and let me tell you, I've never seen them do a bad show. Their show has evolved from power guitar rock with touches of whimsy to music as performance art, but I love that the band has kept evolving, instead of churning out record after record of the same stuff. That being said, this latest incarnation has been around for a while, with newer things being added. The band being born was definitely a new addition since the last time I saw them, and it really got the crowd going. As soon as the lights on the stage went up, everyone stood up, and stayed that way for the whole show. You've gotta be captivating the audience for the majority of the people to stand when they have seats throughout the entire performance. That's the power of the Lips.

This concert was great. The Greek Theatre in LA's Griffith Park is a beautiful place to see a show. The show was assaulting to the senses, with so many things happening at once: the light show, the video show, the camera attached to Wayne's mic that allowed us to count Wayne's nose hairs, the confetti and streamers Wayne shot off, the fog machines, and Michael Ivins hair to name only a few. The music was well done with one exception. They butchered one of my favorite Lips songs, Fight Club, by playing with it in a sarcastic way. I have no problem with groups remaking their hits, but the way they treated this beautiful, lush, musical cosmic journey was disappointing. It was almost like they were making fun of their music. Still, after all that, I had a great time seeing the Lips for the first time.

Over all the Flaming Lips never disappoint, but maybe it's something with the crowds in LA since they don't support the entertainment. So many times Wayne had to be like " Come on guys..." or " hey sing along" that it was kinda annoying. I've been to numerous Lip shows and never had to see them try to pull excitement out of the crowd (and I've witnessed this with other shows as well!!) Maybe I'm bitter since I just LOVE the Flaming lips and had to sit in the "nose bleeds" since all the lamers seemed to get all the good seats, bummer for true fans! My first time at the Greek Theater and liked it, but I feel that the Lips set was one of the shortest I've ever seen! The venue was cool but if all the shows run short because of the neighborhood around it, I'll think twice before seeing my favorite groups there!

i love the flaming lips. back in 06 or 07, they put on one of the best shows i've ever seen. even though i love the stage theatrics, backup dancers, and all that, i'm disappointed they decided to turn some of their best songs into slow jams. they can't keep asking the crowd for energy if they don't display their own.

Everything you have heard about The Flaming Lips is true. Their show is an orgy of sound, light, and groovy weirdness. Rear projection, weather balloons, confetti, dancing animals, puppets, stage blood, these guys do it all, and they do it better than anyone else ever has. No kidding.

The show was spectacular with lights, confetti, balloons, and dancers including myself! I was picked to dance onstage with the band as a dancing girl yeti! Best night of my life! the opening bands were pretty good, nothing spectacular. i liked the sound of ghostland observatory but their songs started all sounding the same after a while. the flaming lips put on a really entertaining and engaging show. as i heard they do at most shows, the lead singer rolled around in a giant ball, and they had a bunch of people in random funny costumes dancing on stage. there was a lot of energy =D

The Flaming Lips concert at the Greek left me quite disappointed. I mean it wasn't a bad show at all, but I had been led to believe that their live shows were more of a spectacle. This had some visual interest, but I wasn't too impressed by what I saw. They sounded good, but it somehow was lacking the energy I was hoping for. And what the hell were all those cosutmed "dancers" who never left the side of the stage???? When I saw them I thought there was going to be theatrics, or a chourus line, or something! But they never came fully on stage. I also really wanted to hear "Vaseline", but that is personal choice, and the fact that they did not play it is not a factor of the overall experience. Lots of interesting folks outside before the show, lending to the air of expectation of a level of performance/theatrics that never happened. My sixteen year old son was very interested in seeing the Lips perform live, but also came home unimpressed with the overall experience. One last thing, they released a bunch of really big ballons/beach balls and the audience kept them bouncing for almost the entire show. Fun, but also somewhat of a problem when they kept getting into the line of vision. I am usually very happy with whatever I see, but I guess l had higher expectations for this legendary band, so I have to give this concert a rating of slightly better then mediocre.

From the beginning this show had the feel of a smaller venue. From an intamate hello from the bands lead singer Wayne, to all that are attending. To a very personal dedication to a "follower". The bands entrance onto the stage from a visually stunning wall of light and imagery. To them exiting through a sonic wall of sound. Made for a welcome return to the city that they would have come from if they hadn't come from 0KC.

The Lips get better every time I see them. Seeing them play "The Soft Bulletin" was an experience I will never forget. The thing about the lips is they really seem to understand that while they play live a lot, the audience is not the same every night and to the audience the show is an event, and they always make it special.

Brian and I went to the Flaming Lips concert last night at the Tabernacle. In true Flaming Lips tradition there was lots of confetti and streamers flying through the air, not to mention the lighting effects or the giant balloons bouncing through the crowd. During the song "Waiting for Superman" one girl went to the edge of the balcony tossing handfuls of dust into the air. It wasn't until I noticed that she was crying that I realized that it wasn't dust that she was tossing. It was ashes. As morbid as it may seem to be at a concert and to have the ashes of an unknown dead person sprinkled on your head, it was actually very touching. When I'm at concerts like that I always feel this sense of unity with the crowd. It's a collection of a thousand people I have never met before but we have something in common. Like a thousand kindred spirits.

Ahhhhhh, where do I even begin...I have seen the Lips a lot of times and I must say the show in Nashville, TN at the Ryman Auditorium on 5.18.11 was the best show I have seen thus far. The history at this venue and the ambiance is one that can not be outdone in my opinion.I drove from Memphis to Nashville to see them and it was the most AMAZING freak fest ever. I actually got to meet Wayne Coyne after waiting around for about 2 hours after the show. I was dead set on meeting this genius, this enigmatic figure, this musical demi-god...Wayne Coyne. He was extremely friendly and talked to some of us for a really long time. I was truly in heaven and can never get enough of the Lips!!! They never disappoint. It is a cornucopia of awesome stage props, fantastic lighting effects, balloons, confetti, strange sounds and visuals that will blow your mind...and of course the best artists in the biz. Words, pictures, even video cannot capture the full vibe of what is truly going on. You must witness this rite of passage for yourself.

Seeing Wayne come out into the crowd at a small theatre like the Ryman Auditorium was the start of what would be one of the best Lips shows I've had the pleasure of attending. Nothing (short of glitter) was left out of their incredible spectacle of a show, including an amazing level of energy and excitement the Lips bring to every show. They were honored to be there, as they explained before and during the show, and their energy showed it. Another excellent show and the Ryman, and one of the best shows I've seen of any band. Having been to over 10 shows at the Ryman, this is the first one where I forgot that there were rows and rows of benches, and also the often touchy, sometimes overbearing, ushers and security.

The Flaming Lips concert was hands down unforgettable. From the minute that they walked on stage they definitely know how to put on a show. There stage is one of a kind, changing to every song that played leaving the crowed mesmerized. It was an intimate crowd allowing everyone to have a clear and personal experience with the performers. They know how to work the crowd. Another few things that I particularly enjoyed would be the giant hands that Coyne uses as a prop along with his signature megaphone! Ending the concert with Do You Realize was the perfect parting gift! And you can t forget all the confetti, fog and balloons! I love The Flaming Lips! For those of you who have enjoyed the Flaming Lips music for years like I have, attending one of their live shows is an absolute must. Do not miss an opportunity to catch these guys live!!! The experience will only add to your appreciation of the band. I've never been to a show where the band made such an effort to ensure the audience was having a good time. From the confetti, to the balloons, to Wayne rolling out into the audience in his huge space bubble, to the 2 giant disco balls flanking the stage, to the laser lights and smoke machines, the very entertaining video backdrop, the guy in a bear costume, the dancing kids on each side of the stage, on and on. The show was a spectacle of sight and sound that will put a smile on your face throughout the show. One of the best live acts I've ever seen.

But the good kind. The awesome kind that wears bright colors just 'cause and gives you a series of high-fives as they help you onto their bad-ass, interstellar craft. The kind that makes you feel welcome as soon as they start playing, no matter how long you've been listening to them. That kind. They're genuinely talented, genuinely fun, and just... genuine -- the kind of band you'd want to kick it with after the show not to feel like you're famous, but because they come across as genuinely GOOD people. From the opening number (that looked more like a closing number, with all the balloons, confetti, and confetti-filled balloons) to the encore (ending with the always sublime "Do You Realize?"), every single song had a vibe and atmosphere all its own. You want badassery? Wait for "The W.A.N.D." You want tenderness? Make sure to sing along with the whole place to "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots." You want weirdness? Get your laser pointers out (which they hand out before the show) and make sure to "SHOOT WAYNE!" like the screen says during "Vein of Stars." I don't know cliche it is, but this show wasn't just a concert -- it was an experience. Whether you're a die-hard or just a casual fans, do yourself a favor and watch the Flaming Lips, live. Before I'd seen them, I was told by a friend it would "change my view of concerts, forever." Was it lofty? Hyperbolic, even? Sure. Luckily for me, however -- he was right.

I was so excited for this show! I went ahead and bit the bullet for the deluxe "VIP" ticket, and let me twll you, I was not in any way disappointed. We were given the royal treatment, early access to the venue, soundcheck, and as an added bonus, a signed copy of an original art piece created by Wayne Coyne himself. Not only that, buy after the soundcheck, Wayne, Steven & Michael met all the VIP'S in the lobby for a meet and greet and picture taking!!! Then we were allowed to leave the venue and come back before they opened the doors to the general public and get right up to the barrier for an excellent view of the shenanigans! The opening warm up act, Klangstof, from the Netherlands, were superb. And then the main event! It was a HUGE party! Confetti and giant balloons from the get-go, a spectacular psychedelic light show, costume changes and dancing creatures, inflatable rainbows, Wayne riding a unicorn through the GA crowd on the floor, as well as a rousing cover of David Bowie's "Space Oddity" with Wayne in the human habitrail again going out in the audience, a beautiful outpouring of love from the extremely wellhheeled and pleasant crowd on the form of hundreds of cell phone lights. The band were so impressed with this the had the lighting tech turn off all the stage lights while Wayne & Steven performed an extremely poignant rendition of "Waitin for Superman", two encores... These guys really know how to give their fans a show! I was already a huge Flaming Lips fan, but this show made me a true believer and I know that when they come back to town, I will definitely be right there, as close as I can get to the front! You should be there too!

1st time seeing the Flaming Lips live. Decided to go all-in with meet & greet. I have enjoyed following Wayne Coyne's antics for years. Tour management took us into the Tabernacle during sound check. The full band was on stage; the lighting and sound were set for the concert. There were about 12 of us that got a private concert experience taking pictures & videos until our phones maxed-out. We listened as Wayne, Steven, Michael & band worked out little sound kinks while playing significant parts of 6 - 7 songs. Wayne came off stage talked to us while working through adjustments... much cooler than my description. Next, met Wayne, Steven & Michael for 30 mins. took pictures w/them and rec'd a artwork w/personalized autographs. Oh, then we were treated to an amazing concert and live-art show. I'll never miss another nearby Flaming Lips show.

This was technically my second time seeing Geographer play live, as I was first exposed to them at Clif Bar's Cykelscramble Event in Marin in September 2015. Unfortunately, that day, I had my boys with me, and they wanted to go home by the time Geographer started playing. So, this was really my first concert where I got to dance and see the band from VIP section. It was perfect for what it was supposed to be; a 45 minute set that was part of a much bigger New Year's Eve event with many other bands and stages. Highly professional and committed to their songs, they sound just like they do on their albums. You aren't going to hear anything less than they're best performance. Even iPhone recordings hold up beautifully and true to their studio sound. I love to dance, so for me, it was sadly over way too quickly as I lose myself in the dancing and moment. I honestly wish I could hear these guys play every weekend and just dance. Love them. Keep up the great work, Geographer!

Such a spectacle! Balloons, confetti, lights, inflated characters, Wayne Coyne on top of the crowd in a hamster ball, ... He is quite the entertainer. Fun fun fun. Everyone should see them once in their life.

First off, Tame Impala was amazing. I had listened to both of their albums before and thought they were okay but their live performance was ridiculously legit. They twist turned their songs into something appropriate for the enormous venue. So good. Now, Flaming Lips, were just sublime. Musical performance perfection. I'd heard so many stories about them live over the years and I finally got to see firsthand how incredible they actually are. I was blessed to see them around Halloween. Wayne Coyne cane out in a prom dress an got a bucket of blood poured over his head. Then they started playing. Jeez that was amazing.

Never do the words "Flaming Lips Live" fall on deaf ears when spoken in my presence, the thought of seeing the OKC bands audio/visual assault in a small arena for the first time (as opposed to their two prior Boston performances at BOA pavilion) appealed to me that much more. We arrived late for the opener and although there was some hype surrounding one of Ghost of the Saber Tooth Tiger's members (who just happened to be the son of the late, great John Lennon) it appeared as though we hadn't missed much, judging from the three tunes they played to close their set. Tame Impala came on and displayed their brand of psychedelic indy pop which seemed tame enough until their frenetic style and sweet harmonies took me to that place of blissful abandon. This was my introduction to the quintuplet from down under but I hope to be reacquainted soon. The Flaming Lips, what can I say that hasn't been said before about the fearless freaks from Oklahoma City who have persevered through so much to continue sharing their message of love, hope and mind fuckery to the masses? One thing is for sure, their visual performance and aesthetics are unparalleled and the new show and setup did not disappoint. From the LED "tentacles" to the huge projection screen and lasers galore, their display is akin to swimming a coral reef on DMT to a soundtrack of simultaneous hope and despair. We were wholly sucked through the emotional wringer of their sometimes melancholy, mostly joyous and triumphant setlist all cast over Rorschachian projections and the "energy" that coursed the intertwining veins that circuited through and over Wayne Coyne's playground of a stage. The jester, in his sprite-like future garb, had us in the palm of his hand and strongly encouraged audience appreciation as if to summon us back from the abyss that the overstimulation of sight and sound had dug for us. Though I always enjoy a good celebration and unleashing of the freak in us all, I've seen livelier performances from the Lips. That being said, this particular fan's overall enthusiasm and appreciation was,at times, a lot like the display of psychedelia I've come to expect at a FL show...Splashes of simulation churning over waves of existential pondering.

This show completely blew my mind to pieces that I am still trying to recover in order to patch together my conscious mind. The light show associated with their unique and positive sound drew vibes of love, passion, and happiness from the audience. It was a truly unforgettable show. The only thing I would change is their set list. I wish they played more songs from older albums like Clouds Taste Metallic and Transmissions From the Satellite Heart. That's just a matter of personal opinion, though.

This concert was a birthday gift for a best friend. I was planning on attending the Phish show at Southlake. As fate would have it I was at the Flaming Lips concert. I was blown away. This band was a very unique experience. The major themes of the show were nurturing, be in the now, and love. Wayne is a composer, and his band is a tight small orchestra. The music was harmonic, sonic, and terribly pleasurable. The light show blew my mind. The venue was amazing as well, very intimate, great acoustics, and the crowd made Reno proud. I will seeing the Flaming Lips and attending concerts at the Grand Sierra for years.

As someone else has said, The Flaming Lips are one of the top ten bands everyone should see before they die. It's true. The performance is astounding, triippy, unforgettable, and happiness-inducing. Wayne mentioned that a civic group in the town of Wallingford had tried hard to prevent the concert from happening, and I can't figure out why? There's never a riot for they come in peace. The light show itself is worth it, but listening to them is beyond fantastic.

This show was amazing. What a way to help Liberty Hall celebrate it's 100th year anniversary. I knew this show would be special from the moment it was announced. Liberty Hall is already one of the best venues to see a concert in my opinion. For the Flaming Lips to bring their mega stage show presence into such a small and intimate setting was just magical. The whole show from start to finish was like being engulfed in a giant blizzard of love. I've seen the Flaming Lips before, but this was a night like no other. It completely blew away my already lofty expectations. Love, love, loved!!!!!

I have been a Flaming Lips fan for a few years now, and I have been itching to see them in concert, so this was an awesome opportunity. My sister and I arrived at the venue way too early. Last time I saw a concert at the Cove, there was a line to get in and seating was limited. This time we just walked right in (very friendly security), and put our chairs right in the front row. We came back out at about 7 p.m. and some people were milling about. Drinks were overpriced, but what can you do? The opening band started shortly after 8 p.m., but it was hard to tell. The stage was too low and it was hard to see anything even from up close with only a few people standing around the stage. I had to walk up to make sure that there was actually someone playing the ambient music that was piping through the speakers. After waiting another 30 minutes or so, we saw Wayne pop out and thought the concert was going to start, so we left our chairs and went to stand up t o watch. We stood for a long time through sound checks and other issues. Seems like things were a bit disorganized. When the show started, it was phenomenal. Wayne warned the crowd what was going to happen, and then he majestically rolled above us in his transparent bubble. We were close enough that he rolled right on top of us. What a cool trick. Musically, the Lips were amazing. I had been warned by a friend that the live shows weren't great because Wayne can't sing on key, but he was great. Apparently he has taken criticism to heart. I saw a live version of "Do you Realize" on Letterman that was awful, but this show was terrific. They opened the show with confetti and balloons. It was surreal. The music accentuated the lighting and staging. They were surrounded on stage by people dressed in a variety of Wizard of Oz suits. This was never explained, but it was cool. Behind the band was a giant screen that showed strobing images of a naked Asian woman hitting a cymbal, closeups of Wayne's face at the microphone (hence the title of this review), and other various images from giant eyeballs to naked, dancing women. They played a few of their hits like "She Don't Use Jelly" and "Yoshimi" with a mix of current and older tracks. I was a bit disappointed with the playlist and the playing time. It seemed to take too long for each song to start, and the concert ended at 10:30, so they were only on stage rocking for about an hour. I was also disappointed in some of the fans. Some people weren't paying attention to the music and they talked during the show. This detracted. The encore/finale of "Do you Realize" was phenomenal. Beautiful Euphoric. Overall Flaming Lips were great. I was hoping for more spontaneity in the playlist and a bit more crowd interaction, but hey.... what do you expect?

This was my very first Lips show. I am not among the legions who know every word to every song. I was clearly uninitiated - I really only know about 4 songs. But I have always heard such great things about Flaming Lips shows from the confetti to the giant bubble ball, etc. Well, the show didn't disappoint. It was magical, psychedelic, funny, spectacular, and the music was transcendent. I almost cried during "What is the Light" - it was though this song captured every deep and inexplicable feeling and knowing I have ever had about Love and the Universe. The light show accompanying it was amazing - constellations up ahead and on the stage screen. It was JUST beautiful. The night was a dream. and I was transported. Now I understand the wild enthusiasm with which people describe the Flaming Lips live experience. I have seen THE LIGHT!!! <3 <3 <3

I really liked the Flaming Lips in concert. The venue had very cool architecture. This being my first open floor concert, I wasn't sure what to expect. I get back pain after standing for long periods, but during the concert I was able to sit in the balcony about half way through and get a center seat. The theatrics of the concert were really cool, everything from lasers to the lead singer rolling across the crowd in a plastic bubble! The only thing I didn't like was the opening band. They sounded a little too screechy for me.

A Flaming Lips show is not just a concert, it's a performance art experience. The Show was incredible, as was the quality of the performance and level of audience engagement. It felt like it was about a thousand degrees on the Aragon floor but the crowd was great, and the band was so intense it was mesmerizing. If you're on the fence about seeing FL, get the tickets and go. You will not be disappointed.

I had been waiting for a long time to the Lips! It seemed every time they would come to Atlanta, I would be out of town. I'll have to say, I have seen the UFOs at the Zoo and this show was just as good except there wasn't a spaceship! I was so happy that Wayne got in his hamster ball and ventured out into the audience! Not too far, but just seeing that was cool. At times with the music and the balloons everywhere it seemed so magical and dreamy like when they played "Vein of stars" which is one of favorites and dedicated it to a boy that was in the hospital. I left happy and inspired, So beautiful. Afterwards I heard some teenage boys saying how beautiful and inspiring the show was - don't hear that every day from teenage boys!

At the concert I got a t-shirt that said "I experienced The Flaming Lips in concert and It made me a better human being". I couldn't agree more. It freaks me out how much i feel like the concert changed me and my perspective on life in general. Not only do The Flaming Lips create amazing, psychedelic, unique music but they offer you words of wisdom and things to help you get through the day. Their philosophy on life and their open minded-ness and kindness and love is contagious. I can't help but feel complete and content ever since seeing them. This was my first time seeing the flaming lips, and I can say without a doubt that these men sure do know how to put on a show. Right from the beginning we got to watch the band walk out of a giant vagina onto the stage and then Wayne, of course, walks on top of the fans in his giant space-ball - And this was only about the first 5 minutes of the show. These guys know how to rock, even if they did play their hits like lullabies. I loved being showered with beautiful music and love and confetti for the evening. It was a most wonderful experience.

The show was wonderful. The venue is a bit smaller which allowed a level of intimacy with the band that is hard to achieve in a larger setting. The music was wonderful (and LOUD!), opening band included (wicked lil drummer and bassist). The Lips are great as are the people who go to see them. I went by my onesy and was immediately swept up in to the small community of Lips fans around me so that by the end of the night I had not only seen a great show, but shared it with a group of people and felt the connection that the music is all about.

No point describing the Lips experience. You have to be there to feel it. Just dress up in your favorite Halloween costume and join the party. What an amazing show! They sounded great, had tons of eye candy, and the audience behaved just like you should at a Lips show. The experience was much like a birthday party for thousands of happy people. The only downside was their set list. From the opening notes of "Race For The Cure" to the final words of "Do You Realize," The Flaming Lips deliver a dizzying performance of gleeful bliss. If you have never experienced one of their shows, or it's been a while, grab them while you can. Between Explosion in the Sky, and the Flaming Lips everyone in the audience was given a laser pointer and you could only laugh and think, 'only the flaming lips.' Then the grandest entrance was made, as we all make our entrance into the world, through a woman's LED psychedelic vagina, or at least that's how I remember coming into the world. Then, from riding a gorilla's back to balloons to turning off all the lights and holding up a mirror as a target for the laser pointers to ridiculous amounts of confetti and fake smoke The Flaming Lips rocked the night away. Don't know how this show didn't sell out. Denver crowds are a fickle bunch who don't understand what they're missing by staying at home. Or maybe they just want to run/mountain bike/rock climb/ hike mountains, and sleep.

The vibes from opening act Explosions in the Sky perfectly complimented the epic beauty of Red Rocks...by the time the Lips birthed themselves onto the stage I was on cloud nine! The Flaming Lips have always put on a spectacle, but this show featured more raw musical virtuosity than I've witnessed before (especially from the ingenious Steven Drozd)--they used less backing tracks, and Wayne's often shaky vocals were flawless in the thin mountain air! The set list was all I could ask for, including a rendition of "Bad Days," an old favorite that I've never seen live before!

Truly excellent evening under the stars with the Flaming Lips. The band was in perfect form, treating a full-capacity crowd to a long set of favorites plus a few special treats and new material from the upcoming double album EMBRYONIC. It was wonderful to see longtime Lips fans mixing it up with folks who likely came out just because they live nearby. There was a woman & her early-teens daughter near my group who had never heard the band outside of TV ads & such - they had the biggest grins on their faces all night long!! The sound was great, glad that we were way out in the middle of the park so they could play nice & loud. Didn't get to see Stardeath & the White Dwarfs directly as we were chowing down on very tasty BBQ in the food/beer garden, but they had a pretty tight sound from where we sat. Great selection of reasonably priced micros by the way!!!!
