The All-American Rejects

The All-American Rejects

The All-American Rejects wrapped up the summer of 2013 as the main support act on Blink-182's 20th Anniversary Tour, but the quartet from Stillwater, Oklahoma, is no stranger to headlining their own tours. They hit the road for the first time back in 2001 and have been delighting ticket holders ever since with their captivating, high-energy performances. Their hook-laden music has a tendency to scoop listeners up with its catchy melodies and tasteful pop arrangements. After forming in 1999, the band reached critical acclaim with their 2003 debut album, The All-American Rejects.

Round trip was three hours, but soooooo worth it! I loved the venue itself, location wasn't too great. Parking was a bit of a pain to find, but I've decided that it is in most college towns. The atmosphere was great. I bought a ticket for a friend and we both thought we would arrive early enough to stand by the stage. Well, those hopes were somewhat dashed when we saw the line wrapping around Liberty Hall. I was bummed when the security guard threw away my pop-tarts. My friend and I were able to get fairly close to the stage, and with the staggered flooring, we could see over everyone. The concert started at 7:30 and The Architects performed for roughly an hour. Just before 9:00, The All-American Rejects began their show. I have been a fan of AAR for over a decade, I grew up with their music. Tyson Ritter sounds amazing in person and he has quite the stage presence. I would love to go to another of their concerts.

These men sure know how to put on a show. I've seen them about a dozen times, and even flown across the country to see them. That's how great they are. They know when to have fun and joke with the audience and dance around. Tyson is such an entertaining frontman. You can tell they all put their hearts and souls into each show. They have upbeat fun songs, they always play their hits, and they slow it down a few times for some more passion. They always have an amazing set list. SEE THEM!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!

My friend Ash and I went to go see The All American Rejects but fell in love with Boys Like Girls performance. The energy they brought they projected to the crowd. They performed popular songs as well as new ones. I loved how personal their performance was very intimate. I would see these guys and The rejects again at this venue and pay the extra money for meet and greet wristbands again!

I saw All American Rejects during Warped Tour '10 and I was blown away. Tyson was beyond hilarious, and he looked mighty sharp in the white suit he was sporting. I'm dying to see them live again because I loved every minute of it. They literally had the biggest crowd there, I was in awe. Waiting for their next tour, buying tickets as soon as they come out!

This show was unbelievable! AAR and Boys Like Girls were amazing!!! Not only were both acts on point with the crowd and engaging, they both put on an amazing show with theatrics and a few covers. They came out into the crowd multiple times and made it a personal show. The venue was perfect for that intimate feel. Definitely a show I would recommend and see over and over again

The show rocked! Parachute was the opening act and warmed up the crowd for the rest of the night. I really don't know most of their songs except for Kiss Me Slowly but I thought they were great. Boys Like Girls was next and they rocked the place. They really had great stage presence and crowd interaction. It was also great that they sang most of their old hits/songs rather than play new ones. At one point they stopped playing in the middle of a song to call out a girl filming them play since they wanted everybody to just enjoy the show. I thought it was pretty embarrassing for the girl but at the same time he was not really being a jerk about it. Last act was All American Rejects and I thought they were great as well.. They played a lot of new songs but played most of their hits as well which was my favorite when they sang Move Along and It Ends Tonight. The show lasted about 4 hours well over midnight but all in all it was a great show.

First of all, The Grove of Anaheim is an amazing venue to attend a concert at. I love the tiered sections of the audience and how you don't have to be close to anyone if you don't want to. Be honest, people. You've had some smelly armpit in your face or that tall guy who just doesn't care that his enormous head blocks your entire view of the show. The tiered levels and the wide open space makes this venue very accommodating. Parachute was great; they really pumped up the crowd and got the blood flowing. Will Anderson, the lead singer, even jumped down from the stage and ran through the crowd singing one of their songs. Boys Like Girls were next and like they said, "They're back, baby!" BLG have been absent from touring lately, working on their new album coming out in a month or so. They brought sexy back with hits from all of their albums as well as introducing new stuff. They brought a fan onstage who claimed he was the "Life of the Party" (one of their song titles), and he danced on stage as the band played. Another female fan was brought onstage to sing Taylor Swift's part of "Two is Better Than One". This girl looked like she was going to faint as Martin Johnson, lead singer of Boys Like Girls, talked to her. Good thing they brought her out a chair. All-American Rejects were the headlining act. They started out slow, but the show definitely picked up, bringing back songs from all of their different albums from the past 10 years. During a break in the set, Tyson shared the story of how "Swing, Swing" became a song of theirs, and it's not as metaphorical as you may think. Overall the show was pretty amazing and kept me entertained from start to finish. I definitely recommend this show!

I don't listen to Boys Like Girls, but the guitarist I was standing was so cool, he was posing for pictures and even handed me a pick when I asked nicely and smiled at him. The lead singer was super interactive. It was fun even though I don't listen to them. As for The All-American Rejects, this was my 9th time seeing them. They never fail to amaze me. They always put on an amazing show and you can feel the music in your bones. They have impeccable stage presence.

I had bought these tickets mainly for All American Rejects, and I am glad I did. The Ready Set, wasn't the best. Boys Like Girls were okay, they played older songs so that was good, but their stage presence was poor. All American Rejects were FANTASTIC!!! They played all of their older great songs, and their stage presence was fantastic. The lead singer made jokes, they interacted with the audience, they had a segment when they played intro's from movies (over the rainbow, the storm troopers march, jurassic park).

My wife and I (in our mid 30's) went with our 18 year old daughter. My daughter LOVED it and even did a meet and greet with one of the bands that was only $20 more. All 3 bands were great! We all enjoyed it but ended up being 4 hours long... You could even tell all the college kids were running down a bit by the time AAR came on (having been there almost 3 hours already). Venue was great. We were about half way up the main level and it was GREAT. Nice, close/intimate setting. Overall great concert and would go again. ALL 3 bands were worth going to hear.

We loved the All American Rejects. This was our 4th concert by them this year. Always fun. The crowd loved them. We did the meet and greet afterwards my daughter is always thrilled to talk to them she loves their music. The music was great.Although the entire concert was three hours long they were worth the wait. They always make us sort of concert dance along. At some venues we wear ear plugs because some bands can not really sing they sort of shout at the crowd. We did not have to wear them for the Rejects. They sing their songs. Tyson got the crowd moving and he talked to people from the stage made it fun. We noticed that he is going out into the crowd more and singing to them . We think that is awesome . Of course you can only really do that if you can sing which is probably why most bands don't. The band itself plays very well. They seem nice so approachable. We think they love what they are doing. We love seeing them. There music is so good we can listen to it together in the car. The group is going to play in Texas soon, Tyson shared that this was the home of a girlfriend from his younger days. Hope it all works out.

The concert was unbelieveable! Parachute really got the crowd going. I wasn't to thrilled at first for Boys Like Girls, but they completely changed my mind. The Ready Set is a new band that went first. They know how to pump up a crowd! I think Boys Like Girls stole the show. They were fresh, interactive with crowd, and got me off my seat the whole time. I don't know if All American Rejects are worn out because the lead kept singing to the drummer and singing sideways most of the time. He was nasty and there were young girls in the audience. They played all their hits and a new song called Heartbeat or something that was long and made me yawn. OVERALL, boys like girls was my highlight even when I didn't really know of them. Great show!

The bands were great and highly entertaining. Boys Like Girls particularly exceeded my expectations by staying on stage during the break before AAR was to go on, and took pictures and talked to the audience. The bass player spoke to me in Italian and gave me a big hug with his eyes closed, so I think I'm in love now. I got a random lady to take a pic and it came out really cute. I was impressed with the Ready Set. I previously thought of them as like a Nickelodeon group, but that guy was pretty cool. My only complaint is more about the venue, Mahalia Jackson in New Orleans, not seeming to know how to go about handling the meet and greet. They weren't sure where we were supposed to go and I ended up getting my pass from a t-shirt vendor using my ticket receipt, which was not the receipt for the meet and greet. But it all worked out and I got a photo op with AAR, to it was all good.

The concert was great! the band played with a lot of energy and was very entertaining! The Venue was not set up the best, it was a rock concert and they had sit down seating. They were touring with Eve 6 which was also a fun band to watch. The concert was a good length, you didnt feel shorted once the show ended. We were able to get the the very front of the crowd and be right up against the stage which he interacted with very well. At one point he even got off the stage and was pushin through the crowd.

First off the venue was so small that even though I was near the back of the crowd I still felt close to the stage. But once AAR got out I got pushed to the front were I can literally count tyson's eyelashes. HAha the set was pretty long.. about 12 songs.. and def my favorite part was when Tyson came out into the crowd while he sang MOna LIsa, and I pretty much felt him up. ha my hands were all glittery because he was wearing his "glitter shirt" like at the VMAs..and my hands smelled pretty much like BO but def worth smelling over and over since its TYSON RITTERs BO! the smell is still on my hands and I dont even mind :) ..oh and I saved the specks of glitter that transferred from him to me. overall small venue, closeup of AAR, hello kitty guitar pick, and glittery fun= GREAT CONCERT! ..def looking forward to seeing them again!!

Despite the cold weather, the show was great. The opening band, Anberlin, came out and had a fun set. :D Of course, my friend and I were there in full support of the All-American Rejects, which did not disappoint (despite the fact that the lame Taking Back Sunday fans started cheering TBS right before the Rejects came on, which had to suck for them. Whatever.) Even though they had two acoustic shows earlier in the day and were completely tired, they put on a hell of a show that a devoted fan like me will be raving about for a year. :) Tyson was charismatic and spot-on and so much fun to watch, Nick and Mike kicked some serious @ss, and Chris played his heart out. The Rejects set was the middle one of the night, and since the show was so great (and the Taking Back Sunday people were pissing me off) we left after the Rejects set. While a few of my favorite songs were missing from their set (old and new), it's an evening that I'm not bloody likely to forget. Thanks, guys - you made my year! SEE YOU NEXT TIME!

The night started with plenty of energy. Anberlin kicked off the show but it seemed as is they were maybe the second or third band on, very electrifying! Taking Back Sunday full of energy. Didn't know many of there songs, but after hearing them live i'm going to have to take a better look into them. I've listened to AAR before and seen them perform before (@ Blink 182 concert), so there were expectations there. By the end of the night, they surpassed them! Great show. Great setlist. Taking Back Sunday was decent. They had okay music and the croud was sorta into them. I think more people attended because of AAR, and my thoughts are only because only a few songs were known by people. AAR took the concert to a new level and Tyson Ritter of AAR was very much into the music and into the croud. The fans were awesom and the music was even better. We stood sorta in the back, near the sound booth... it was perfect to see the stage and be in the middle.

Awesome atmosphere, awesome performances, awesome venue!!! the Venue is large enough to host bands of this significance, yet small enough that it only has a 1050 person limit. It was pretty much an awesome concert. I really wish we got there earlier (traffic) so we could get better spots. We stood at the far left by the velvet rope stand so I could only get side photos of them. When Nick looked my way I started waving like crazy and got him to say hi to me. :) Tyson came out without his shirt on with gold glitter all over his body. He even went as far as singing on the booths. My bf who wasn't even into them said they were pretty good. Taking Back Sunday was decent although I haven't been keeping up with them, and Anberlin were okay as well. Very cozy and intimate concert compared to the ones at TD BankNorth Garden Make sure you have comfortable shoes on because the pre-shows take forever.. but when AAR comes on stage it will be totally worth it!! Crowd was a bit subdued for Anberlin, rowdy for Taking Back Sunday, and enthusiastic but not out of control for AAR. Each band was tight and poured out everything for the fans. WOW what can I say except - EXTREME time! I didn't care for Anberlin and Taking Back Sunday was good but I have to say the highlight of the show and the reason I went was to see The All American Rejects - THEY ROCKED! Ty was very funny with the interaction of the crowd - sound system was excellent could hear his voice very well and they rocked out with an intensity beyond human control! They did a lot of their hits and out of all the songs they did 99% of my favorites. THIS IS A MUST SEE EVENT - HIGHLY recommend it and THANK YOU AAR for a great concert experience! Will be a fan always! Only thing I did not like about the whole thing was all the downtime between each band to re-set the stage - took 30-40 min between bands - was kind of boring.

This was my first experience at the Hidalgo State Farm arena. The venue was small, but really nice. The Ready Set opened the show - I had previously seen them at Van's Warped Tour. What's nice is that when you see them live, it's more rock as opposed to the bubble gum pop you hear on the radio - same goes for Boys Like Girls. I've also seen AAR before (also @ Van's Warped Tour). They put on a solid show. Crowds need to learn how to mosh and surf down here, but otherwise the atmosphere was pumping & $80 bought me four hours worth of entertainment!

I had originally gone to go see AAR but was blown away by Boys Like Girls - they were awesome! The Ready Set was actually also really good; I had previously heard some of their music but wasn't a fan - their live performance changed everything. Overall the show was great but loved The Ready Set and Boys Like Girls.

This by far is one of the best concerts I've ever been too. The opening act The Ready Set were far better than I expected them to be since they are a young band. Boys Like Girls were just awesome. They have been my favorites since they started. AAR were AMAZING!!! I love them!

This concert was great from the opening band, ready set all the way to the All-American Rejects. The stage was very close to everything and everyone which made it very interacting and intimate. The energy of the bands was great as well, super fun!

it was a nonstop concert, they kept going and going for four hours, worth the price of admission.

AAR lead singer looked and acted drug-fueled, clearly in need of a bath and a meal, and spoke appallingly in-between songs. I've been around long enough to have heard the F-bomb enough...I didn't need to (nor expect to pay to) hear it probably 100 times through the course of a music concert. I saw a family with young teens walk out on the concert...as they well should've but should not have had to. While he sang fine, the in-between songs was HORRID as was sometimes watching him sing. At one point, after writhing during a song on the floor and pressing himself up against the microphone stand while standing up, he said something about needing a cigarette and having enjoyed group sex with the band onstage since that's what he felt he had just done...um, I think he was in his own little drug-fueled moment there. It was sad. After singing the final song, which he seemed to indicate was the only reason people were there or were at least waiting for the most, the band just walked off the stage and the lights came on...no "thanks for coming out (and paying me to act like an idiot)", nothing. Very rude...but pretty much on par with the rest of the "concert". This is New Orleans...I've spent a lot less for a lot more quality. Very very disappointing. The opening band was "ok"...until the lead singer stopped singing to diss someone in the crowd for being on their phone Facebooking or something. He went on a rampage about needing to be in the moment with them right there and not posting on social networking or whatever. Really?...I mean, the venue was about 1/8 full (I've never seen this place so empty!!!) - you're not that popular, apparently...so lose the attitude and be glad ANYONE went to see you or wants to post about you or video you...and btw, they likely were there for AAR anyway. This guy made a jerk of himself but at least used no foul language - more than I can say for AAR. The whole thing was just awful.

I'm not a big Ready Set fan, but I was super excited to see Boys Like Girls and the All-American Rejects. I came for the Rejects, but BLG was great too. Both of the bands do a great job of owning the stage and igniting the crowd.

First off let me say OMG I MET BOYS LIKE GIRLS :D it was such an amazing time, and after the concert they even came into the crowd. The whole entire theater was packed(in a good way). The whole crowd was jumping to EVERY song and we all were just having a great time. I even crowd surfed :)) the bands were AMAZINGG !! The Ready Set, Boys Like Girls, and The All-American Regects. Boys Like Girls was fun to sing along to and jump around but The All-American Regects involved the crowd in the concert. And he has the funniest dance around the stage, that alone is a reason to go :D

I LOVED IT! I see a LOT of shows...& wasn't expecting to LOVE IT! They took me by surprise! Before seeing them I'd call myself a casual FAN - after seeing them ON STAGE, I'm HOOKED! They BLEW It out of the PARK! Before Friday I knew the Rejects had some fun songs, NOW, after putting on a show I didn't want to end, I'm SOLD! I'd see them again in a HEARTBEAT! In fact, I'd travel to see them & LOOK FORWARD TO IT! Energy is an understatement! They COME OUT busting out of their skin! Tyson is a MANIAC! Ya gotta love it! He's FUN and NUTTY and I just LOVED watching him perform! He's a PERFORMER! Crazy outfit - some striped baseball looking pants, spewing profanities, but somehow fitting & likeable! He was jumping and dancing and actually ROLLING around on that STAGE! Boy is he charismatic with these AMAZING blue eyes you can see from what seems like MILES away, and a TOTAL TRIP! He's FUNNY and FUN with SOME CHOPS to BOOT! He talks to the audience and REALLY keeps you engaged! He told GREAT stories about their ups and downs and their journey from small town Oklahoma. He has the right mix of craziness and humility! In the end, I somehow felt like I actually got to know them! That's THE TICKET! GOD, I wish them EVERY success! & though I left absolutely LOVING Tyson do not sell the rest of his band short. They were ALL putting it out there!! They didn't rest for a second! They played their GUTS OUT! & they've got hits! Though, I swear, there wasn't a single song I didn't like! My favorites were Move Along and Gives you HELL! JUST AWESOME! I smile thinking about it!

When All American Rejects came on I screamed my lungs out to every song. Not a bad song in the set. They opened with Dirty Little Secret which is such a crowd pleaser. The set was hit after hit and only a few new songs but the new ones they chose were amazing. Heartbeat Slowing Down is amazing a really dark song. That night I found a new love for AAR and their music. Tyson Ritter is such a good frontman. He really knows how to get the crowd involved and is totally nuts while on stage. I would go see them again in a heartbeat.

Well the band is way better in the radio, plus didn't expect to be trampled by a horde of teenagers. The sound wasn't that great

The All-American Rejects and Boys like Girls were amazing!!!!! They are my two favorite bands and I am so excited I got to see them together! The one things I did not like that much was how they rushed everyone during the meet and greet!

wonderful concert! GA so no seats. I wouldn't go if you don't like being pushed around or standing. The AAR and BLG were great and it was so fun. My legs almost fell off after but whatever. People were a little crazy but it was so worth it. TONS OF FUN.

All American Rejects was defintly better then Boys Like Girls. Boys Like Girls interacted with some of the crowd but not most. All American Rejects interacted with the whole crowd, and Tyson (the singer of All American Rejects) has a great personality and nows how to put everyone in a great mood. The overall show was amazing, and i would defintly go to see All American Rejects again in a heartbeat. Boys Like Girls I'm not sure about going to see again. The Ready Set was very good also, bringing great energy to the stage.

The lead singer was so obviously on so many drugs, he made it difficult to enjoy the show. I felt bad cheering on a drug addict who struggled to sing the same songs he has been singing for ten years. They should really give it up.

They played a great set list and were amazing!! Even when the power went out due to the weather outside, they played acoustic and refused to let not having power ruin the show for everyone! Also the meet and greet was so much fun! We got a signed poster and got to take a picture with the band, if you had a camera! The All American Rejects we're very disappointing however, I couldn't really understand what they were singing throughout most of the songs. The only downside was there was a good amount of time in between set changes. I highly reccomend going to see them!!

I was up in the balcony so maybe this made a difference, but it sounded so tinny to me. The music drowned out the singing, i was very disappointed. Oh and there was an actual moment where the microphone went out and Boys Like Girls had to sing the acoustic version of the song. Smh
