Great seats!! Game started out like a house on fire!! Both teams scored on their opening drives...then it slowed down till half. Temple took over the second half and the final was 30-10

The first half was a defensive battle by both teams even though Temple showed signs of being able to move the ball at will if they could eliminate some sloppy errors. Aggressive play calling and execution dominated the second half for the Owls bring them their sixth victory and making them eligible for a Bowl Game for their second straight season! I was fortunate to attend this game with my son, a sophomore at Temple, and we enjoyed a great game and some valuable family time on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in October!

Veterans Stadium was a child of 1970s thinking; specifically, that a city could have one stadium for both baseball and football. The general result was a stadium that didn't work for either sport. Thus, Philly (and many other cities) built one stadium for each sport; for the Philadelphia Eagles, this was "the Linc." This stadium can hold over 69,000 fans, but this game had about one-third that amount. Thus, good seats were available for not a lot of money, and lines were generally short at both bathrooms & concessions. It is also close to a subway terminus; and riding mass transit is DEFINITELY recommended when attending events at this area. Visibility and audio is good in all seats. Big screen video monitors were visible and useful throughout the stadium. Security is (sadly) pretty tight -- you absolutely can NOT bring any opaque carriers into the stadium, and that most definitely includes purses. We used gallon-sized clear plastic bags for our stuff, and it worked fine. No surprise on two counts: outside food is strictly prohibited, and food at stand is WAY over-priced. I mean, $5 for a hot dog?!? It was cold in the stadium, but what do you expect for a football game in November?

What a game, what a game. The best college ball always rides it out until the last second, and this game certainly did that. I am a bit biased as a Temple alumn, but even if we hadn't come through with the victory, I still would've thought it was brilliant. A few scuffles around our section (on the Nova side, ahem) for some reason, but the Linc security staff did beautifully. So here's a nod to the security fellow who made that trek up and down the 102/103 steps more than a few times.

2 years in a row the Temple-Nova game has gone down to the wire. College football is back in Philly! You can't beat the value - it's about 1/2 the cost of an Eagles game and it's really good football. We'll definitely be there next year and I'm not an alum of either school!

I purchased alumni tailgate tickets and reserved parking only to be turned away after sitting for 60 minutes to get into Lot K. We were not the only people affected by this poor planning. Lincoln Financial Field also sold 1286 reserved parking spots at $46 according to the event parking supervisor for 1100 spots. We finally gave up and parked across from the Holiday Inn in a private lot for $20. By the time we made it to the alumni tailgate we had 30 minutes to eat hamburgers and hot dogs, drink some well needed water. Then our horrible frustrating event experience continued with standing like cattle in a line with pushy people some drunk and forcing their way thru the line for over 30 minutes to get into the stadium before kick off. Lincoln Financial Field did not have enough security or metal detectors to get the crowds in on time or to control the crowds. Of course we missed kick off. We would have loved to see the whole game, but felt with our experience getting into the game that if may be replicated upon leaving. So we left after half time to avoid the fear of sitting in the car for another hour or more to leave. Plus we were running below 1/4 tank of gas due to the unexpected wait time to get to parking. Our family has attended numerous Phillies and Flyers games over the past 30 years and never experienced what we did with this game. We had the worst sporting event experience ever.

I've been to hundreds (perhaps 1000+) football games, but Temple's complete domination of Penn State may have been the best! The ever-pompous PSU fans were actually speechless as they witnessed their team start the season with a L - as in LOSER. Temple open a can of whoop ass. Absolutely beautiful!!!

One of the worst large scale events I've attended. It was very chaotic/unorganized. We missed kick-off and half of the first quarter due to the fact that they were not able to accommodate the number of people through the gates. Lincoln Financial Field has a no bag/clear bag policy yet we had to wait for bags to be emptied or searched. If this is an NFL stadium that has a seating capacity of over 69,000 and this game was sold out, they should have been better prepared. I appreciate the security and safety precautions, but I paid for an event & it would have been nice to be in our seats for kick-off. We waited an hour or more to get through the gate.

It was the worst sporting event of my life. The security was horrible, waited in line forever. The concession stands were terrible. The lines were long and didn't move. The bathroom was so hot standing in line and waited forever. Do not take children here. A big corporation like the Eagles, they take your money and don't care about their fans. I will never come to this stadium again. Also, leaving the stadium on the escalators was a nightmare.

What a turn of events! Have been going to the Penn State vs Temple game for over 30 years and never would have imagined Temple dominating the game! Disappointed by my fellow Penn State fans around us, Using vulgar language and insults. Not even to Temple fans !When other Penn State fans with children asked them to stop they gave them the finger! (Who by the way they said and did nothing to deserve) Displaced anger- Penn State was simply out played, even Franklin admitted that. It stings to lose a game, especially one we have not lost in over 70 years. But come on folks, we are better than that. We have lived through worse then losing to Temple!

I rated this 1 star for several reasons. First, when we finally got into a parking lot, other tailgaters (who only paid for one spot) took up 3 or 4 spots and would not move their stuff for other patrons to park. POOR SPORTSMANSHIP. Someone needed to "police" the lot to make sure this wasn't happening. 2nd- really, two toilets for a parking lot. Pretty sad that people had to hold up blankets at a fence so people could "go" along the fence. 3rd- long lines to go through the metal detectors. Lastly, the foul language and gestures coming out of the fans was just over the top. Overall, just not a great experience.

Overall the game and the seats were fantastic. I had prepaid $46 for a parking spot and was refused entry to the parking lot. I was directed to another parking lot and told my paid parking would be honored. It was not. I was directed back to the lot where I had paid for parking. It took me 1-1/2 hours to get parked. That was horrible. The directing of traffic by the local authorities was pretty horrific too.

The tickets for the Temple Game were a bit pricey to begin with, especially since the team was not doing well. We paid $155 total for four tickets - which given the experience were definitely not worth it. The ticket master page didn't give us many options in seating and kept telling us that limited tickets were available, which is ridiculous since maybe 6,000 people if that were in attendance. The only options that the site kept giving us were on the opposing side, which was fine - it just would have been nice if the look for other seats option was working right. The game ended up changing the week of the event from noon to 7pm, which again is super inconvenient and the email gave no rhyme or reason for it, other than "please show up at this time". This wouldn't have been as bad if the weather reports weren't showing such low temperatures. When we got to the event security was giving everyone a hard time about their bags and what women can take into the game. This was no where in the print, or in any notifications when we purchased the tickets. A lot of frustrated people were picking fights with security who were explaining that all major stadiums have adopted this policy since the Boston Marathon bombing. I had been to multiple Phillies games next door after the bombing and was never once told that there was a size limit on my bag. They were also giving people a hard time about things like blankets - on a night that was in the low 30s. The game itself was OK but the entire situation leading up to it was horrible.

I frequent the Tri-State area for many reasons. I have always enjoyed the weather and the wide variety of activities offered all year round. It's really awesome. NYC is just soooooooo go-go-go, that makes me tired and crabby. I love driving, but loathe driving in NYC. You're really meant to be walking around, utilizing the awesome public transport system. NYC events are very popular and the more so, the higher the prices tend to be. So, taking into account I was already dropping money on a plane ticket and rental car (with family and friends in the area, it's rare I have to find accommodations), I decided to check Philly out. I know NFL games tend to sell out and are all day events, with tailgating and parties. I settled on a collegiate football game because of the price point and better available seats, and PARKING!!! Area restaurants and bars were cheap compared to the exorbitant prices in the football stadium. It sucked that they stopped serving alcohol after the half, but I totally understand why. It would have been wonderful to have seen higher attendance, but it was nice to not fight for the bathroom or queue for the concession stands. I would definitely be checking out other events in Philly.

Temple Owls gave it their all against a top 20 team, but fell a bit short. They are by far the best 1-9 in college football with loads of future upside. Especially impressed with the freshman quarterback, very skilled who played with a maturity far beyond that of a freshman.

Penn State comes to the Linc to play Temple every couple of years. It's the only time we get to watch our Nittany Lions in person. We're able to purchase great seats in the club level. We really enjoy the indoor concession area, there are lots of food choices and plenty of seating, and you never have to worry about the weather. The game this year was exciting! I missed most of the 1st quarter after having left our tailgate 1 hour prior to kickoff. The backlog of spectators at the security gate to enter the stadium was horrible. I was seated next to an expansion joint in the stadium which fans insisted on using as a step. I eventually moved to another empty seat due to the constant flow of people who didn't feel they needed to use the actual steps at the end of the row. The level of profanity and vulgarity was inexcusable... and that was by fans from both teams. Never again!

Game was great, seats were great, the borderline annoying temple contests between every break was annoyingly loud, just like at the flyers. Chill. Speaking of chill, nice job not broadcasting that you can't bring anything into the stadium. Seriously? Can't just look in a purse or small bag? The female supervisor at the Verizon gate was out of control rude. Getting in was tedious as given the no heads up to fans used to beaver stadium and the seemingly understaffed gates. Love the stadium and glad I got to enjoy it.

I always have fun because I have good seats. The Linc sells beer and the food is good. I recommend the barbecued pulled pork sandwich. Temple plays well, and good teams like Penn State, Maryland, and some from the MAC come to visit. Prices are cheap and the views are good. The stadium is clean and the people are friendly. I do not like tailgating in the parking lot sometimes if it's windy. You can bring food and snacks into the game, but they need to be unwrapped or in a clear container. Temple's Diamond Band is great and the Pep Squad is awesome. Temple always has some sort of event going on like free tailgating or kid events.

I have been to many soccer, concert, football and baseball events in the Phila. area area and this was by far the worst traffic I ever experienced going to the Linc, Ciziten Bank or the Farg beause the facility was not prepared for the event. This event was in the morning with no additiional events occuring at one of the other stadiums and the traffic/parking was very poor as was the cost for parking and the lack of assistance by those getting paid at the event parking. Even with all the excitement that occurred throughout the game, the fact that this is becoming a good rivalry, and the beautiful statium it is played in I am sad to say it's not worth going to a large venue Temple game like this again with the lack of competency in those that organized it.

We (Penn State) won, so of course this was a great game for me. I enjoyed the tailgating and thought that things ran pretty smoothly considering that there were so many people there. We went to customer services and got sit-down seats that were marvelous! I plan to write to the President of Temple to complain about the disgusting behavior of students wearing profane T shirts and screaming that profanity at PSU "guests".

You REALLY need to ask people if they want to sit on the Owls side or the Nittany Lions Side. This is the 2nd time I went to see the game at Lincoln Financial Field & both times there were problems between the PSU fans and the Temple fans. Allow people to choose which side they want to sit on. Thank goodness I kept peace in my row ONLY because I earned my BS from Penn State & my MA from Temple.

$ 30.00 for 200 level seat, fill the stadium... you over priced the seats. Get them there (people), make it a TRUE Home Field Advantage. I had 8 tickets there.

Why didnt anyone publish that the K lot was going to be limited? Line all the way down Patterson Ave and NO ONE Can turn into the K lot with out a green pass. Post it on a site so people know and can move to other lots, dont let some in then expect to stop the rest from coming in. Such a waste. Inside they should cut the alcohol sales at half time. WAY TOO MANY Drunks

Overall we had a good experience supporting the Owls; however, the foul language that we had to endure was extremely upsetting. It seems that the young fans in our section had a very limited vocabulary and it made the event less than great. A Penn State fan sitting next to me apologized for the behavior of other PSU fans in our section stating that their language and actions were inappropriate and were annoying to him as well. We have attended many Temple Basketball games and have never had to be subject to such vulgarity...and it came from young men AND women. Shameful!!!!!

horrible seats - not sure who to blame for advertising club box seats when there is no difference between this section and the general grandstand seating

Great time at saturday's game - only thing that could have made it better was a Temple win. I recommend the ticketmaster service - great seats, fast and easy to use. Honest prices and all around great day.

The game was good but we had problems getting in because of the new clear plastic bag policy. We were not told that this policy was in effect for any event other than Eagles Football. My wife had trouble getting her medical supplies in. For this reason I probably will not attend another Temple game.
