Thos was one of those times you realize it can t get any better. One of a kind talent. Wow! Diana Krall came out with her band, whom at first I resented, hoping to have this evening alone with her. But, they were each phenomenal. The guitar player was the fastest jazz guitar I ve ever heard. He reminded me of Django Reinhardt, and, at times, even better. The violinist was brilliant and plucked and bowed everything up a notch better. The stand up bass was funny and could have entertained us all on his own, he was so good. The drummer was young and kept the music moving in a sexy direction. There were lots of stops and starts in the music that were more instinct than communication. It was magical. I ll do that every chance I get!!

SOOOOO much talent on that stage! It s always a pleasure to listen to musicians who command their instruments—This was the last stop on their tour and I think they showed that in their performance—more like a jam session than a standard fare—I really enjoyed that. Some of my friends who were not accustomed to Krall were tripped up by her accent. But the Orpheum was packed with people who knew her music well. I do wish ticketmaster had a better diagram of the Orpheum and would allow me to pick my seats. I prefer to be in the middle. But we were on the best side as it turned out!

Diana Krall was great! I don't know why I haven't been to see her past concerts. She's been here just about every year. Last year I said I'm going to her concert this year. But, she didn't come last year. My wife was apprehensive being that she didn't know too much about her. She's a Diana Krall fan now. Will be seeing her next year! Sorry not the greatest picture. We were not allowed to use flash.

Diana Krall gets better and better. The intimate setting of the Melody Tent and her trio was perfect. She is an extremely skillful jazz pianist and soulful/romantic singer. See her when she comes around again!

Diana Krall and Company last night at the Tent...Wow....and then some.....i'll keep the memory of that show with me forever. Passion, Talent, Generosity and Beauty....an incredible package indeed. Musically speaking...Oscar Peterson, Rosemary Clooney and Nat King Cole would have to be impressed, no doubt about it....Yeah, i Adore Diana Krall without condition:) And Her Accompanists' really should have agreed to come home with me:) alas! Just so we're clear on this, i was thrilled with Her show~

Diana Krall was amazing. Her voice was in top sultry form, her piano playing was majestical. The combination made for a truly unforgettable concert experience. She was escorted to the stage by her husband, Elvis Costello, who left her with a kiss, but remained to watch the show from the back. The revolving stage at the Melody Tent enabled the audience to both watch her expressive features, and at times view her hands on the keyboard. Her backup band was also in top form, iteracting with her seamlessly. Even for a Diana Krall fan, I left the concert awed and impressed by her show.

Dianna Krall was fantastic! I really enjoyed listening to her play and sing. However, the audience was terrible! They were noisy, rude and made it difficult to enjoy the show. There were women behind us that talked the whole time, people taking pictures and being rude. I would have thought this common at a rock concert but this was jazz! Also would not have expected this rude behavior from the older crowd. I was embarrassed to be associated with the people in the audience.

The Melody Tent is an outstanding venue in most respects. The fact that it's sometimes on the flightpath to the Hyannis Airport is of minor consequence when one as humorous as Diana makes the outside noise an integral part of her audience raport. She was luminous under the spotlight and everyone in the theatre in the round was thrilled to see her head on on several occasions. We haven't seen her this radiant in a while...Her solo piano playing was unusually lengthy for the set, though she humorously returned to one vocal after the Steinway was having difficulty responding in the Cape's fog-shrouded evening. Her keyboard riffs and sultry voice soared, her torches were white hot, her raport with her fans incomperable and the good feeling was returned throughout the evening.

Diana Krall and her trio are not to be missed. Her voice and jazz interpretation is incredible! In addition, the jazz improv -- Diana's piano and her trio -- is amazing! Saw her twice this Spring - once at the Providence Performing Arts Center and once at the Cape Cod Melody Tent. The opening act at CCMT was not great and Diana did not appear until 9:00 (was an 8:00 start) Preferred the PPAC as there was no opening act and she came on right as scheduled!

Have followed Diana for many years...even at the opening of the Montreal Jazz Festival. Saw her last at Melody Tent...just after the babies were born. Must say that last nites performance went to another level. Her piano playing has jumped several levels, if that is possible, and this was the best show ever! My husband and I still wonder...is she a pianist who sings or a singer who plays? Doesn't matter...she is BOTH! Her trio is the best around...all three men "groove" with Diana.

Diana Krall has only gotten better as she continues to entertain her audiences with her sultry voice and "magnificent fingers'. Her talent is exceptional. What a wonderful expereience . Of course, one can not control the stupidity of certain people in the audience. If I were the manager of the theater, I would have taken the woman who kept yelling at Diana and removed her from the audience.

Diana was relaxed, cool, humorous, and moving in her delivery . . . her quartet was top notch - especially the guitarist! At times I had tears in my eyes - the Jobim renditions were smooth and emotional - with just the right touch of Brazilian flair.

Not only was it my first time seeing Diana Krall live but my first time at the Cape Cod Melody Tent. Seats were comfy and had good view. Revolving stage gives different aspect of performance. Diana was her sexy, soulful self!! She takes the time to showcase her band in almost every song. She played mostly standards and a few songs from her newly released CD. I noticed she did not perform any of the songs she has written. I think she has a great handle on what her fans like best. Special surprise was having Elvis Costello, her husband, quietly escort her on stage!

Brian Cultertson and Dave Koz should have headlined this event. The two of them with their bands made the entire show for me and my husband. Although I like Diana Krall, her vibe is for a much different crowd - And that really reflective in the audience at this venue. We are used to a more interactive crowd, not stuffy uptight individuals. To us if you asked about the opening act only it would be 5 STARS no questions asked!

My husband has always enjoyed Diana Krall and was so excited to see her in person. We bought our tickets months ago and he waited patiently for the day. The venue was a spectacular location. Ironstone is beautiful. We bought tickets in the D section and was please to have a seat instead of lawn. HOwever, when Diana came on stage, it was difficult to see her because she had her back towards us most of the concert. Also she kept turning around to see her band members but turned away from the crowd. She should have been turned around on stage towards her audience and band members. Also, I walked back to the rear of the lawn area during the concert and could barely hear Diana. Her voice is very low anyway and she does not speak clear into the mike so I know that the crowd back there were very disappointed. During her part of the concert, I saw alot of people in all areas of the venue, leaving early. I also heard several people comment about her performance and that was why they left early. It's really too bad that she can put on a dynamic performance in SF earlier in the week but drop the ball at this outdoor venue. I know my husband was very disappointed in her performance. Koz and Culbertson actually stole the show, what a fantastic pair they were and quite the entertainers. They were worth the money I spent on tickets for this event.

I've seen Diana perform twice now at Davies Hall. She is very talented. This time I have to say she fell short on her conversation between songs, when she did talk to us she trailed off and was lost to find an end before starting her next song & also with closing the concert. For the final final she only came back on stage once.

First off, The Pearl at the Palms Casino is an amazing venue! All the seats appeared to have a great view. The setting was intimate, the sound was excellent and the acoustic was great. Diana Krall sounds great in concert and her expertise on the piano was masterful. Her band was awesome as well. Great concert. Would recommend.

Diana Krall is a lovely performer. She has a real tight group and they seem to really enjoy playing with each other. I would have liked to see them when Russell Malone was on guitar but that is neither here nor there. They played a great variety of songs. These included classics such as Cheek to Cheek as well as some innovative choices such as work by Tom Waits. The Tom Waits number was a nice curve ball. It threw a little different flavor into the mix besides the expected standards. All the players got a good chance to solo and when someone else had the floor Diana's comping was perfect. Not too much, not too little. They traded fours on a number which is always exciting. Good give and take of sonic energy. My date and I were pleased to see a family sitting in the row in front of us. Although the teenagers in the family were periodically falling asleep it was good exposure to something other than Pop music. My main criticism was the placement of the band members in relationship to Diana. The way it was set up she was all the way to the right of the stage and you could barely see her face. I heard some other audience members complaining about this as well. Another thing that added to this was her hair was in front of her face a lot. Now, it is true that she has very beautiful hair, but I like to see someone's expressions when they sing. Diana mentioned that the band was a little sick. Some cold going around. She coughed a few times while she performed and had to clear her throat. Poor girl. Even with a cold she put on a great show, engaging with the audience, telling of her adventure to the the Baltimore Science center and Aquarium with her twins, and of course she swung both hard and gentle. Like a good romance her playing was both hot and subtle.

She was recovering from the flu when she did this concert. We had second row seats in the pit--I was stoked. When she first came out she was very quiet then explained to us that she hadn't been feeling well. Then she started interacting with the audience, telling stories of her singing, her older relatives and her boys. It gave the concert a very personal touch and I just loved the way she shared with us. Her singing and her piano playing were awesome and it was well worth the cost of the seats to be that close. I would go again and would recommend her music to all.

It was my Valerie's birthday, so when I heard a radio ad for Diana Krall's concert at Atlanta's Chastain Park on the exact date of her birthday I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I booked ourselves some table seats, bought way to much food and drink, packed candles and other dinner essentials, and off we went. For those that do not know Chastain Park as a concert venue, it is an outdoor amphitheatre with different types of seating, from the truly expensive front-and-center dinner tables, to a way-at-the-back park space (where you can picknic on the grass). I had seen Diana Krall live before, back when I was living in Japan in 2001, and she was amazing. More edgy then on her CD's with more pure jazz and boogie woogie elements thrown in. Last night's performance showed those same elements but a little more 'showmanship' thrown in. Her little talks in between some of the songs showed some really funny, quirky humor (she talked about her family life, touring with her 2 year old twins on a bus, and being impressed about meeting a certain mr. and mrs. Obama who were equally impressed when she told them she was married to Elvis Costello). Add the fact that she was backed not only by her trio of drum, guitar and bass, but also by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and you can imagine the lush performances that matched or rivaled her CD's. It was a truly magical night.

This was a great concert and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The venue is very nice (my first time there). It is very clean and well maintained, lots of food and drink options available, plenty of parking, etc. The concert started 15 minutes late. I enjoyed all the music, but I really wanted to hear her sing more than anything else. All the musicians are fantastic, but I don't think it was necessary to have each musician (bassist, drummer, guitar, violin) do an extended solo on almost every song.

Diana was fantastic. her voice was so smooth. much better than on CD. the band was extremely skilled, tight and moved together. three complaints. sound could have been a little louder. there could have been a few more up tempo songs. ad said she would play 800 - 950 pm. she started about 30 minutes late but ended at 9:50, two up tempo songs would have given us more music to enjoy and partially filled the time variance. however, i thoroughly enjoyed the concert and would definitely see Diana again. if you're a fan and haven't seen her live, you should

I have been a Diana Krall for 15 years and have seen more than one of her concerts. Not sure what was going on with her for this performance, but she wasn't engaged and the concert was more of a band jam session than anything. When she did sing, she mostly whispered and she didn't play one upbeat song the entire concert. She also barely connected with the audience at all. I am still a huge fan of hers, but concerned about her well being. Something was wrong. If this was the only concert I had seen by her I wouldn't recommend going, but I know she can put on a heck of a show. It just didn't happen this particular night.

I've been a Diana Krall fan for many years, and have several of her CDs, so I was excited to see her in person at the Orpheum Theater in Memphis. Unfortunately, the concert consisted of far more ensemble than Diana as focal point, with Diana merely sitting at the piano singing, while the group played and took solos. Diana is such a great piano player and that's what I wanted to see and hear. Rather than her and the piano being the "main course" it was more like "salt and pepper" of the concert. Memphis was the last stop on the "Quiet" tour, so maybe they were all tired, but we paid good money and expected better. All told, I was disappointed because there simply wasn't enough Diana Krall in this concert.

Consummate musician and vocalist, Krall, supported by her world class band cast a spell over the audience. Stripped down versions of classics amid fresh new songs proved that very often, less IS more. How refreshing NOT to leave a concert with your ears ringing, yet never miss a note or a word. Even though this was the last stop on her tour, she was playful and intimate with the audience. I went to the show expecting Diana Krall to be amazing. Much to my amazement, she wasn't all that. The focus was on the band, which was great, but I went to see Diana. She didn't seem to be into the show. Maybe she was tired, it being the last show of the tour, but I don't think she sang near as much as I expected. Also, the seats at the Orpheum are small with no leg room. Was hard to get comfortable.

I've always loved Diana Krall's music, but had never seen her live. The Orpheum in Memphis is an intimate venue with great acoustics, so we were looking forward to the show. I have to say that the consensus around us was that she seemed pretty unexcited about being there, was very monotone in any commentary she added, and at one point she even said that she forgot what was next on the playlist, after stopping during a song's intro. One spectator near us commented that it seemed almost like she was "overmedicated" that evening...very disappointing, especially given the cost of good seats. I hope that maybe she was just having a bad night, or was tired of traveling. Her band was very talented and seemed to be engaged, including at least one local musician on drums...

Diana Krall seemed a little lackluster during the entire performance. Not sure why but during her piano playing she said sh*t loud and clear into the microphone. Ok, she said a cuss words we've all heard before, but maybe an explanation, a chuckle or just an acknowledgement of what just happened. While the concert was instrumentally enjoyable, we were rather disappointed that Diana Krall shared the stage *equally with the musicians, often sitting back and enjoying the solos of the others just as the audience did. We paid to hear her SING. The performances by all were great, however, we feel the event should be advertised accurately. You aren't going to primarily see/hear Krall. You will experience a *musical concert.. with Krall singing here and there. All n all, if you aren't familiar with who Krall is, you may not be clear about who the star is of this event.

Between the Gibson and the fiddle and overall sameness of sound, I was bored. DK didn't mix it up enough for my taste. Bass and drummer and Ms Krall jibed together with impeccable timing. The audience, much to my chagrin looked like far side of middle aged ponytailed men with tiedyed mumu attired women. They were loud whooping and hollering inappropriately...perhaps they made a wrong turn trying to get to a Grateful Dead Concert.

Oh my... what a lovely dream come true. I had heard that Diana Krall's tickets were in the $300 range, so it didn't occur to me that I would see her anytime soon. Then I learned she was playing here and checked out the pricing. It was really amazing... I decided I would cut back on my only outings (movies) for awhile and treat myself to this as a late birthday present. I went a the commercial audition in Culver City in the mid-afternoon, and took some extra clothing so I could change before the concert. I arrived 3 hours early to ensure I could find parking, and had the most beautiful time. I walked around and found there was an opening at a communal table for dinner. I sat at the end between two couples and began to bond with Nancy (of Nancy and Bill - I wish I had thought to take their photo) in a restaurant at a communal table. Nancy made a comment about my age, so I asked what she thought it was. To my delight, she said, "early 20s and I had a lovely giggle! I decided years ago that I would get younger as I aged, so I'm thinking that Benjamin Button must be kindred spirits! The pre-show was truly unbelievable. Gregory Porter and the musicians supporting him were outstanding... he has the most gorgeous voice, and it reminds me a bit of Luther Vandross ~ so smooth and silky, utterly controlled yet with such an ease in his delivery. Energetically, it brought quiet and joy to my being. Diana had an amazing array of musicians on stage. I must find all their names. The 'fiddler' reminded me of Jean-Luc Ponty at times... the guitarist brought to mind the stylings of Chet Atkins. It was wonderful to watch her fingers on the keyboard, and her voice is "wonderful, marvelous..." as you know. Music feeds my soul, and tonight I dined a the King's table. To Diana, Gregory, the LA Philharmonic, and each musician with you: Thank you for sharing your gifts... and for taking my spirit on a magic-carpet ride on this enchanting, moon-filled night. It felt like a 2.5 hour meditation... a divine day and wondrous night.

Loved the show. Felt she was allowing herself to be open and vulnerable to the crowd showing her humanness. She was on stage for 1 hr and 40-45 minutes straight. Great voice. Great musician. Her talent is the ability to revive older songs and personalize them with her brand. It's like she has an old musical soul in the present. She was accompanied by fantastic musicians. She gives her everything to the audience!

I brought my Dad to see Diana Krall. It was a good show, but not a great show. She played for about 90 minutes. She kind of played what she wanted to play, but not necessarily what everyone came to hear.

Diana Krall and the Philadelphia Orchestra truly was an awesome show. Diana, her band, nor the orchestra missed a beat. The orchestra complimented her and the band seamlessly. The performers and the performance was just perfect. The only thing I would have changed was to make it last longer! She sang many of my favorites: Temptation, Case of You, California Dreamin', and a new one from Paul McCartney really rounded out the concert.

Picture this, a beautiful summer evening, with no humidity, at the glorious Mann Music Center for the Performing Arts in beautiful Fairmount Park right outside of Philly. An open air covered venue surrounded by incredible forestry and landscaping. The light summer air blowing through my 10th row from the stage center seat. Out comes the entire Philadelphia Orchestra and is seated. Onto the stage walks the stunning long legged blond bombshell Ms. Diana Krall. I've waited 10 years for this. My anticipation and excitement were off the charts. The opening statement is "No Pictures or Recording Please" - I'm disappointed but I will deal with it. Even though the last 10 shows I've been to in the last 3 months every artist allows pictures. Not sure where this is coming from, But I'll deal. She opens with "I can't give you anything but love" from the album "The look in your eyes" - I'm swooning.. She is playing some incredible piano and my partner & I are blown away by the intricacy what she was playing, and how effortless it looked as she throws back her hair in the middle of a rift. I thought, this is going to be amazing, the orchestra was out of this world, Diana's Violin/Fiddle player was mesmerizing. The music was perfect, classic Diana Krall hits mixed with a very nice selection from her latest offering "Wallflower" which I love by the way... The night should have been the perfect night for a huge fan such as myself, but AGAIN.... reading all of the reviews.. Diana was ALL BUSINESS. There was NO interaction with the audience.... the people who buy her music and spend their hard earned money on coming to see her and appreciate her mega talent. It was like she was playing to an empty room doing a sound check or something. I was SOOOO disappointed. I don't know why she does this. But I've read the same complaint time and time again about her. Diana, there are soooo many people who love what you do, and honestly I came there for that reason, to hear your magic and I certainly got an ear full, it was beautiful to the point of tears. But I also wanted to see you and as close to the stage as I was, and as easily as I can see my own hands, you were in my eyesight, but I didn't see a thing of Diana Krall and I'm so sorry to say that my perfect night was significantly diminished by your lack of appreciation for the fans who helped make you the star you are today. You are a performer, and I get that you have off days, but it is part of your career to appreciate your fans. Please do not disappoint them going forward. Regards. P.S. - I took pictures - Would have totally respected your wish had you any interest in respecting ours.

Went with my wife and we both LOVED the show. Diana Krall and her band are incredible. But what really added to the show was her relationship to the audience. LOVED every moment of the show.

Diana Krall and her incredibly talented band played an unforgettable mix of music covering several genres. She is an extraordinary interpreter of other musicians' music. There wasn't a moment during her concert when the audience wasn't riveted.

Excellent concert and performance by Diana Krall and her musicians. This is the second time I have seen her in Baltimore, first at the Meyerhoff and now at the Lyric. Highly recommend anyone trying to see this artist. She makes you feel like you are sitting in a parlor with her as she tells stories of her youth, family, holiday's, origins of her love of songs and artists. The opposite of stuffy..very relaxed, personalized performance.

Diana Krall was phenomenal! I loved her song selection, as well as the decorations on stage. I especially enjoyed how she shared her family history through several stories and memories of her upbringing. She is an amazing performer and I cannot wait to see her again. I was also lucky enough to win the Mercedes-Benz "Best Seat in the House" promotion, which allowed me to sit even closer to the stage. Great performance! Awesome night!

I have listened to Diana Krall for many years and this was the first time I saw her in concert. The talented musicians she had supporting her were an added benefit. If you have never seen her live I recommend it but once is probably enough for me. Seems she has a new added snobbery now that she's married to Elvis Costello. A couple of times she would say this particular song was written by the composer Tommley. She would ask the audience if we knew who he was, I don't of course, but before anyone could respond she would answer for the audience in saying, "of course you don't know him, how could you." Some songs were great when Marc Rubio was accompaning here others were okay. Unless you are obsessed with DK and have to sit right up front I would stick to the 50 dollar range tickets.

This is the 2nd Diana Krall show I've attended...and she does NOT disappoint! This year's show was amazing. The set was decorated in such a sexy vintage way. And her voice, as usual, transports you to another world! I love how Diana interacts with her audience. Talking about her self, her twins, Elvis, and gets requests from the audience of what to play. A top performer in my book and a 100% class act! Can't wait to see her again!!!

An occasional cough, a slightly duskier voice, but a incredible musicality and connection with the audience. It was too bad that Diana Krall had a cold, but the evening was a magical mix of music. Her band and her opening act were terrific musicians and each did a great job. The overall result was great music, a light and friendly exchange with the audience, and jazz, jazz, jazz.

I've seen Diana Krall three times now and this was not up to the previous events. The best thing I can say is that I like her voice/piano, and think her side men are outstanding, so it was still a pleasant evening. Too bad she seemed tired, and, as she said coming on, her voice wasn't in the best shape. End-of-tour trials? Truth to tell I'd rather have spent the money on dinner and a bottle of wine. I'd forgotten why I don't like this venue: impossible to see Diana's face without binocs. Would have been better if they did the big screen thing. I think her best venue is a smokey lounge, where you can get a sense of her, her side men and their glorious play. This wasn't it.

Despite it being very warm temperature wise, Diana and her bandmates were awesome. The music was outstanding. She didn't play some of the songs I wanted to hear, but that's what I enjoy about concerts. You are reminded of some other great songs she does. The only disappointment at the event was some nitwit yelling out to "play like you're at home," followed by "rock us." Diana with her wonderful sense of humor blew her off. Here's a woman playing her ass off, talking about how she misses her family and she gets this idiotic comment.

We paid over $200 to listen to Diana Krall sing. All we heard for the most part was her band members. I thought we were going to hear her sing all of her classy, sultry songs that we paid for. If I had wanted to hear just music I would have not gone to hear her band.

I have been listening to Diana Krall for quite some time. I was ecstatic that she made her way to Sugar Land. I was very please with the concert. The mixer did a wonderful job with the sound. My only suggestion is that the sound was turn up a bit more as it was more on the soft-subtle side. Diana's voice was fantastic. Her voice was exactly the same as when I listen to her voice at home with audiophile speakers. The band was fantastic. Diana didn't hog the spotlight, she was very gracious to let each member of her band shine. This is probably the best concert I have ever attended. She was funny. She seems a bit nervous speaking to the ground, which only added charm to the concert. I loved it and will definitely see her again if she returns to Sugar Land.

Diana Krall had trouble finishing her thoughts when introing songs but her talent carried the day. Her backup quartet was amazing, especially the fiddle. Not too often one hears a jazz fiddle. Her medley of Tom Waits/David Bowie/Irving Berlin was genius. She was a delight.

This was my first Diana Krall concert to attend. I'll preface my opinion with this.. I will agree, to an extent, with the sentiments of others who attended the concert. The concert overall, in my opinion, was pretty spectacular. Her band is phenomenal. Her voice is so sultry and soothing. Her diction and pronunciation of words is crystal clear. She sat at the piano, and I saw her playing, but I don't know if the piano wasn't miked up properly or something. When all of them were playing together, the piano was kind of hard to hear. She did give her band many solo opportunities; but they were so good that I didn't mind. By the reviews that I read, a lot of members of the audience have commented on Diana seeming disinterested or distracted. She did openly admit to having trouble completing her comments; even forgetting some lyrics and openly playing a strange piano chord or two. I'm a performer myself. Sometimes I begin to speak in conversation and then; poof. It's gone. When you're in that moment, it happens. Perhaps she isn't a great speaker? I don't know. She came across my Pandora station a while back and I loved her voice and delivery. That's why I went to go see her. As imperfect as she was in some aspects; her voice was on point. She exceeded my expectations in that department.

Diana Krall is one of my favorite performers. Since seeing her at Carnegie Hall in the early 2000s I have longed to see her perform again. I listen to her music often. She sang only a few songs but those she seemed to forget words and even what song was next on the play list. I hope it was an off night because she is TALENTED! Her quartet was magnificent and covered for her throughout the show. Please come back feeling better!

My husband and I love Diana Krall, but last week's performance in San Antonio was so very disappointing. She seemed to be disoriented throughout the performance. There was more emphasis put on her jazz band, especially the guitarist, than her. Granted, the band members were very talented. It's just that we came to hear Diana sing. More than likely, we will not attend another live performance if she returns. We'll continue to enjoy her music at home.

Smart Financial Center is a Great Venue! But...... the Diana Krall concert was a disaster. She sang very little, forgot lyrics, couldn't finish a thought, flipping hair, and never got up from the piano bench. Played almost no "hits" or songs that made her the star she once was. The concert was principally a Blues / Jazz band concert with too many solo instrumentals. When she did sing a little, amazing! The band is also fantastic.... not what we expected or paid for though. We since have read other city reviews and this was not the only show fans have experienced this disappointing performance. Either she has lost the mojo to perform or something is very wrong, either way.... we are very concerned for her and her future.

My wife and I have been fans of Diana Krall for 20 years. This is the first live performance we have had the chance to see. It was an anniversary gift for my wife. Krall was late coming on stage and she seemed to forget her lyrics. She was not engaged in the performance. We came to hear her sing. She did very little of that. The musicians she had accompanying her were good but I didn't pay to hear them jam. Overall this was a disappointing performance. I doubt I will ever go back to see her.

This is the second time that I have been to one of her concerts. The lighting design for this show was amazing...so in tune with the feel of what she was playing. It really added to the experience. My only criticism was that Diana did not play piano as much as she usually does. It seemed that a lot of the time, she had her legs crossed and was just watching what was going on. I was a little disappointed. The best number was "Sunny Side of the Street" where she played "Handful of Keys" in the middle of it. That was what I came to hear! Her band is great and I don't want to sound as if they are second rate, but I came to hear her.

Diana Kroll seemed bored with the whole performance , and made no attempt to interact with the audience. It seemed more like a rehearsal (one of her few comments was "Oops, wrong key"). The audience got excited when she played a few notes of a Fats Domino tune, but she quickly glossed over to something else.It appeared like she and her combo couldn't wait to get the gig over . Sad.
