Doppelmoppel

Germanquartet Doppelmoppel is one of the most intriguing lineups in improvised music. The group came about in 1981 when brothers Conny and Johannes Bauer, both trombonists, decided to form an ensemblewithout bass and drums. One wanted Helmut Joe Sachse; another wanted UweKropinski. Two trombones and two guitars are Doppelmoppel—named of a Germanwordplay on an expression meaning, "redundantly duplicated".

I love live music! I used to go to a ton of different concerts and festivals. Then I saw the Hives at Coachella. They were so good that when they finished with their set I left the festival. I have never since been to another concert of any kind again. Why even bother, the Hives cannot be topped...

I've been a fan of Chimaira for a while, but this is the first time I've been able to see them in concert. What an incredible show. They were extremely high-energy, and they rocked amazingly hard. The mosh pit filled up the entire room, and even a couple of girls joined in the fun. The opening acts weren't anything to write home about, but Chimaira was 100% awesome beginning to end! Love you guys! Much respect. \\m/ -_- \\m/

I've seen this band multiple times and they just get better with time. The tightness and punch delivered by Soulive was on full display at this show. And a real treat to see them in a smaller venue like The Paradise.

This show rocked from beginning to end. You'll have to forgive me for not being able to recall the names of the opening bands, however, they're were also amazing, especially the opening band from Pomona, CA.

This was advertised as a Irish Christmas music evening when it was basically their regular set of music (Which I"d give a B- or a B) with a couple of Christmas songs thrown in. Was looking for a musical kick off of the Christmas season. This was not it.

The venue is so cozy and personal; I was literally sitting 30ft away from Mandy Moore! I thought it sucked that I couldn't take pictures, but I realized it probably more comfortable for her to not be constantly photographed. She really opened up about the making of her album and I felt she was being a genuine character, not like some celebrities. It was awsome that she preformed a few of her new songs after the interview. Her voice is gorgeous and carried well on the sound stage. Plus I got to meet her after and got an autograph!!! I'm going to be back at the Grammy Museum all the time!!
