I really enjoyed all the live music. The show was a nice opportunity for some up and coming to put their music out there for us to enjoy. It was a thrill to see Mitch Ryder and Mark Farner captivate the crowd. Martha Reeves was a drag, I did not enjoy her performance. Alto was the "sax monster" he literally blew the roof off the place!

I've seen Dianne Reeves Perform at DC's Howard Theatre and recently in Baton Rogue and she was phenomenal both times. She was so riveting I was disappointed when the show ended. Dianne does not disappoint. Her vocal skills and acrobats are jaw dropping. I drove 4 hours to see her perform. Her trio was superb and the musical director Peter Martin smoked the Steinway! The Baton Rogue Symphony Orchestra was awesome as well.

Stan Ridgwy, accompanied by his wife Pietra Wexstun on keyboards and an electric guitarist, was just amazing. I can now cross a major item off my bucket list! He joked a lot with the crowd, bantering back and forth with the audience, and took requests for all his great songs, including Stewart Copeland's theme for the movie Rumble Fish, "Don't Box Me In", "Call of the West," "Tomorrow," "Lost Weekend," "Camoflage," and "Drive, She Said," and Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire." He played a long set and just about the only song he didn't do, out of respect to his late bandmates, was "Mexican Radio." Stan was as sharp as ever, and I felt really lucky to be able to take in this amazing show. He was very pumped for the show, affectionately referring to the mostly older crowd as "we're the last of the Mohicans."

A spectacular array of musical talent and prowess playing the classic expression of American music, that is what Rumble and Twang was at BB King NYC on Saturday, September 7th, 2013. What a treat it was to enjoy the show these musicians put on at such an intimate venue! Every seat in the house is a good one at BB King. Rockabilly rules and these cats know how to lay the law down! AWESOME!

The acoustics of the Berklee Performance Center make it a great place to witness and listen to good music. The performance was top notch due to wonderful and talented musicians and the incredible playing and song writing of Kurt Rosenwinkel.

It has been years since I have seen Curtis Salgado live - I hoped that my memory did not fail me as to his strong and charismatic voice. Curtis did not disappoint - rather - he was truly amazing and on top of his vocal / harmonica game. The band was fantastic, as well... strong vocals and chords.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the concert performance given by DOC SEVERINSEN and his BIG BAND ! It brought back memories from the TONIGHT SHOW ... and us recalling his musical talent and wit. His age didn't show in this concert and he was energetic and eager to perform to the audience. Wonderful entertainer ... to the crowd !

The National Mens Chorus was basically fairly dreadful. About the same as an untrained high school glee club. Debi Smith, who has a beautiful voice, was WAY over-amped. That distortion was especially noticeable on the high notes. She doesn't need to be amped really at all, or certainly not anywhere near that much!

Part of the problem was that I built this up in my head to see a terrific songwriter in an intimate venue. What I saw was a guy who was not in good form -at all - playing songs I knew - poorly. His guitar playing was fair at best and his voice just isn't what it used to be. He is touring California with his girlfriend who is probably about a third his age, who did an adequate job, but wasn't anything special. Overall I was happy to see a songwriting legend, but I'd never pay money to see him again.
